This place is great! Come here all the time, the people are so nice and the food is always super tasty , the wasabi is my favourite because it tastes really nice. Every time I’ve gone my rolls are always perfect, not to jinx it. The miso is delicious and the katsu is nice and crispy with the rice I get. Would recommend 10/10

We were looking for something substantially less touristy in an area with a very high tourist population. This worked for us. You order at a touch screen on the counter and pay there too. Pick up your number card and grab a seat. Ten minutes later, they bring out your food to your table. Simple and easy and not some whacked out $45 for all you can eat business like so many other places. The food was good and all 4 of us enjoyed it just fine. I got the poke bowl, which I custom ordered to my liking. Others got katsu chicken, Mongolian chicken bento box, and a sweet & sour chicken bento box. Everyone left happy.

We love to visit little restaurants like this and this place did not disappoint. The server was attentive and sweet. The food was amazing if not a little pricey. But over all this has been added to the list of restaurants we will eat at again. This place is work going out of your way for. With over 2 pages of sushi rolls and enough appraisers to fill a room this place is great for small and large groups alike.

Reasonable prices with drinks and bottled beer available inside. Great setup for take out. Wish I could get one to open by us in NC I would eat there every day.

We upgraded the rice to the fried rice and it was definitely worth the upgrade. And the Pao Pao chicken was incredible. Hot, fresh and perfectly fried. It had a slight kick to it but not spicy. The guy described it as a slightly spicy orange chicken. We got all the veggies with it and those were amazing. Especially the bell peppers. We were able to get some sauce with each of our entrees. We got the white sauce, spicy Mayo, and poke soy. All were great additions. We put the white sauce on our fried rice and dipped our sushi in the poke soy. My wife got a milk tea with boba and she said it was pretty good and on par with most milk teas she has tried. The atmosphere was lively. It was clean and sanitary. There wasn’t any trash on the ground and they cleaned off tables quickly. Service was good. You order at the front and then sit down and they bring your food out to you. They were doing a lot of to go orders and they were well staffed. It took us about 15 minutes to get our order after placed. We will definitely be back. Next time we want to try one of the make your own poke bowls.

I wish we had one of these in Tallahassee!!! The menu has a good balance of sushi, healthy and expected pan asian food. The fish used in the poké is fresh and good quality. The bentos cover all the bases and for folks who really like their sauce, there's always plenty to go around. If you need to customize food for a specific diet this place is perfect. It wasn't too busy when we went but the counter-service model means you get served quickly! Can't wait to go back.

So we love Bento. We have always gone to the one downtown and have visited this location maybe a handful of times. The sushi is always very good. Only issues we had this time was we asked for noodles with this kids meal and they gave us rice. It was fine the kids didn’t even notice. The eel sauce though was not ok. I will not eat sushi without it and this time it tasted very acidic almost like when it was made it had too much vinegar. I don’t even know if they put Vinegar in it but that’s what it stated like. Overall it was good.

This place is on point! Many different combinations for Bobba Tea (Bubble Tea) in 2 sizes with a legit seal & traditional large straw for popping pearls, tapioca or jellies! Many different offerings via rice bowl, noodle bowl, stir fry, poke bowl, sushi, apps. Also, get a normal (still on the large-end) portion or if a little more on the hungry side, double up in the meat or veg! I opted for the Poke Bowl & wasnt let down- having had only 4 prior experiences with Poke. If you've never had this before, I would describe this as a deconstructed sushi over rice bowl. Many options. I chose 3 proteins, 4 add ons, 2 sprinkles & 2 sauces. Smoked Salmon, Tuna, (Tempura Chicken just to get a taste...which was taken off and dipped in the white sauce), Avocado, Cucumbers, Mango, Wakame Salad, sprinkled with sesame seed & fried garlic with Poke & white sauces over white rice! The eggrolls & dumplings were both crispy on the outsides and tender on the inside. I tasted the yellow curry as well on the katsu chicken & it was delicious! Apparently they deliver as well via Uber Eats, which could be dangerous if one if these were close to where I live!

Bento is a great option to visit if you’re craving sushi! It is designed to be a quicker, self service style restaurant and is very convenient! We ordered a variety of The sushi rolls, and they were all very tasty. I also ordered boba tea that had a slushy consistency and I can never go back to drinking normal boba again! It was so refreshing.

First time where and I'll say it was very quick, friendly staff. Clean atmosphere and tasty. General tso chicken noodle bowl was a little too much teriyaki on the noodles so kinda threw the flavor. Plenty to eat will have dinner later. To go boxes rig b t where you can grab them. Nice and hot too. Definitely would suggest trying it out.

We liked the food. Suchi combo was awesome. It was so good that we repeat the order. Also we ordered one rice bowl with garlic soy chicken, which was really very tasty. Chicken pad thai was too good. Loved their cajun chicken ricw nowl too. For our vegetarian friends, we ordered tofu noddles bowl as well as tofu schezwan rice bowl, which were also very tasty. Ambience was good. But yeah, it was quite crowded as we went on Friday night. Definitely recommended for asian food lovers.

There was no salad or boba tea available on 11/20/2018 :( I've never been to Bento so this was a sad thing to know coming in. Our server for the night was Jonathan. Very sweet, kind and patient! His service was outstanding. Always checking on my party of two. 5 stars for service. We came in so hungry! We ordered dragon, kawaii, philly and another roll I cannot remember. The food was only okay. A simple "meh." I didn't really like their selection on the menu. I think I'm more used to seeing more options and sashimi available. I don't think I'll be back soon but it's worth a try to anyone else out there! Don't knock it till you try it. Unfortunately, I'm knockin this one out.

What to say about BENTO Dr. Phillips? Well, I certainly like the food and am a regular. Out favorite items are the delicious boba teas with the tapioca pearls. The are so popular that they are always running out of said tapioca pearls and you have to settle for the popping boba or the fruit jellies. Oh, and there is a day of the week in which it's 2x1 boba teas, so we enjoy for the price of 1. Additionally, they use the punch card system to accrue purchased teas and get a free one after buying the 10th one. Our food favourites are the Pad Thai and the Thai Pineapple Fried rice with shrimp and brown rice. Yes, brown rice, and yes, at no extra cost because it is fair that we get to choose what food options we put into our bodies without being penalized for something different from the norm. We are in between a 3 and a 4 star rating but considering how long we have been frequenting this restaurant, it even hurts to give something so low. BENTO recently went through a restructuring of its front of house operations model, so now it is strictly order at the register and seat/serve yourself. Don't get me wrong, they already had that going on every day towards the last 2 to 3 hours of the evening, but now it is ALL the time. This causes the phone lines to get saturated when ordering for pick up, and now the line to order is pretty long compared to how it was before because everyone is doing the same thing, putting in orders quicker because they are standing in line and you took away the courtship of waiting tables. Additionally, I feel terrible about the staff, as many of our favorite servers and supervisors left. Remember that many young people pay their way through college with tipped positions. Bring back the seasonal/surprise items to shift things up and create up sale opportunities. Please, remember to check on the tapioca pearls ahead of time so you're not running low or out of them.

A slightly up scale counter Asian restaurant. If you want a full service dine-in and someone waiting for you at your table, this is not a place for you. It is like a fast food vibe type of restaurant except the cashier brings food you ordered to your table. The restaurant gave me a panda express vibe. I had the lo mein noodle bowl with the meat option Korean, taro milk tea, and rice bowl with chicken teriyaki. Food was okay to fill us up. The taste was so so.

We ordered through Uber Eats for our office, the food was good but we didn’t receive any utensils on the bag, and we all ordered sushi, we didn’t have any chopsticks nor the straw to drink our boba which it was very disappointing and most of my colleagues had to scoop their boba out since they couldn’t drink it. Next time, please make sure that their is at least straws in the bag. Very disappointed.

I have gone to Bento hundreds of times across their many Florida locations: Tampa in Amateur works, Tallahassee, Gainesville. This always takes the cake for me. However, my experience was highly soured by the host that I had, Jennifer. She had an attitude and walked around aimlessly, asking everyone multiple times “are you here for pickup” like a motion-detected robot. Then, when I see what is taking her attention, she’s playing with a baby. No matter. I order and the food is not up to expectation. Though this is the rare case, the one time when this has happened, they were kind enough to correct it. She sternly said “no, you’ll have to pay more for that”. I was aghast and she looked me straight in my face and said “are you gonna pay for that for or not?” I turned back and was just shocked, only to see the manager sitting on the back on her laptop, not really minding the store, although Jennifer’s guest and baby(?) were yelling across into the kitchen. What poor service!! Really soured the experience. Won’t be coming back anymore. Also note they are CASHLESS. Pao Pao - no sauce Veggie Stir Fry - low noodles Way too highly priced for the stingy proportions, lack of customer service, and hair nets. Babies running around and getting asked “are you here for pickup” as they direct you to the automated kiosk (which doesn’t work fully because you can’t add anything to your dish). Disappointing!! Do better.

Spent almost $60 for a food barely touched. Had pad thai & hibachi & kids bento, luckily my kid doesnt care. Food was just not good at all. Dragonfruit drink was the only thing thats good. Im glad were only here for travel, def not coming back.

Food was very late 25 minutes and they gave no utensils when ordering from our hotel indicating we should have added the request to our order or else eat with our hands. they indicated they only give one count ONE soy sauce packet per roll and not more. The wasabi was barely there. We are visiting and don’t know better/ person on the phone instead of making it right told me to take it up with door dash. We will.

The food quality was outstanding, and it was my wife’s and my favorite restaurant. However, each time I visit now, the experience gets worse. The person managing this location seems completely unaware of the current state of the restaurant. The table in front of the soda machine has been wobbly for over a year and has never been fixed. The restrooms are increasingly dirty. The kiosk does not properly scan barcodes for beverages. And today—on a Friday, a day that used to be packed during lunchtime—there were only three occupied tables. In short, whoever is managing this restaurant has successfully ruined one of Dr. Phillips’ best dining spots. This is a clear example of poor administration. If it’s the manager, they should be replaced. If it’s the owner, I strongly urge you to reconsider your decisions because you are heading in the wrong direction.
