Not a difficult place to find. A decent amount of parking but very busy. Although very busy waitress was super helpful and got us into a private room which I totally suggest. Food was amazing. No wonder it is zagatt recommend. If in Orlando come try it. Great vegan options as well as carnivore options.
New experience the staff here are super kind. We were waited by their Ethiopian staff who were super explanatory of the menu. They are authentic and therefore by way of their culture way with their hands no utensils in sight! It was a beautiful atmosphere. There are several platters I had the veggie one being vegan and the cabbage and lentils were deliciousssssss
A co-worker and I had a discussion about different foods that we like. He asked if I’ve ever had Ethiopian? He recommended a great place that Diane and I dined at today. We have great friends that have children from Ethiopia. They have shared meals prepared from this heritage but never on the scale that we had tonight. When we told them where we were, they said they had brought their family there and loved the food. Nile Ethiopian is the name. As is my custom, I asked most of the patrons what they were eating and drinking (whether they wanted my interruption or not) and what they recommended us to try. Between them and our waitress, we followed suit. Injera is the name of the bread that forms the basis of the meal. There is nothing to compare it to; not naan, pitas, scones, crepes, or Wonder bread. It’s texture, feel, smell, and flavor are unique. Samusa, tomato fitfit, Azifa, Doro Wat, Doro Acha, Beef Acha Wat, Beef Tibs, Tikel Gomen, Gomen, Misir and Kik Alicha were consumed with beer and wine that was new to us. I am afraid that when I lie down tonight, that I may actually burst. It was worth it.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Orlando and one our daughter asks to come to all the time! We love their vegetarian options, everything is so flavorful. If you’ve never had Ethiopian food before, this is a great place to try it. The staff is very welcoming and will make great suggestions.
I've only tried Ethiopian food one other time and that was in Dubai so I was looking forward to it I tried the Meat Sampler for one and it was tasty and flavorful. The place was very clean and full of African Flavor to help with setting the full experience. The Staff was friendly and helped with recommendations. I'd definitely recommend.
Our group had such an amazing experience while we were visiting from out of town! Lydia was an amazing host, teaching us so much about the food and culture. So not only was the food delicious, but the experience as a whole really was the cherry on top of our trip! If I ever make it back to Orlando, I will be certain to visit again!
I've been here a few times it's so beautiful inside and full of culture. The staff is super knowledgeable about east African culture and gave us some interesting facts as we were dining about Eritrean food. Food was delicious. We ate the chicken stew and the veggie sampler (don't remember the names sorry). I also ordered the honey wine they make it in house. Delicious! So fun to eat with our hands and experience the way others dine around the world. My daughter loved it. Great family experience. Photo cred goes to her.
I can’t say enough good things about this place!! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the little area it’s in isn’t super nice but it is sooo worth it to go anyways! I had never eaten Ethiopian food so I really wanted to try it, and I couldn’t have even imagined how amazing it would be. Our waiter was the owner (I believe) and what a nice man! He was so happy to tell us more about his culture and the reason the restaurant was decorated how it is, and give us recommendations on what food to try since it was our first time. We ended up getting the Chefs Special and added lamb onto that, and basically that dish is a sample of almost all of the meats, veggies, and sides that they serve there. If you have at least 3 people in your group and don’t know what to get I’d highly recommend it, because then you can try a bunch of different things and share it. That’s what we did and it was just fantastic! Honestly, I can’t remember what half of the foods were called that we got but it was all delicious! You take some of the bread, and grab the different pieces of meat and veggies and go for it, and seriously every combo I tried I loved. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and I was just so impressed. It all just blended together so well and wonderfully. To finish up we got Baklava for dessert, and it’s really some of the best baklava I’ve had. So fresh and made exactly how it should be. I am so blown away by this place, and highly, HIGHLY recommend it! For my covid people they also kept everything super clean and our waiter wore masks, so you should feel pretty safe eating here.
Felt adventurous and decided to give this place a try, glad I did. It’s a very unique place and you definitely get a feel for the Ethiopian culture. Got the Chefs special with some of their wine and coffee. Food was delicious and different. Came with many a few options similar to small plates. Some of the best coffee I’ve had and our server gave us a run down on how they drink it and what they eat it with back at home! Price is very reasonable and they have cool little huts to get a bit more of a cultural feel. Worth a check out!
Great Ethiopian food! The balance of flavors was spot on, and we didn't wait long for the food. Our favorites were the chicken, beef, and cabbage. I also liked that the sambusa wrappings were thin and very crispy. Portions were perfect, service was friendly, and prices were reasonable. I'd definitely come back!
Staying at a Universal Studios hotel in Orlando I didn't expect many great vegan options but just by our hotel we found Nile Ethiopian. We love Ethiopian food and they pretty much always have a vegan plater you can get...so that's what we got. It was as delicious as expected and I highly recommend any vegans looking for a good dinner to stop by here and enjoy!
Nile Ethiopian is one of my favorite spots in Orlando. Their meat combination platter is out of this world — a perfect blend of flavors and textures on injera. And the coffee? Spectacular, served with care and tradition. The folks who run it are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Every visit feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. If you haven’t tried it yet, make sure you do.
Amazing. Great service, food, atmosphere. Highly recommend. I’ve been here probably 8+ times and it’s never disappointed. Honey wine, Nile Sampler, Tomato app.
Oh my God This food was amazing Me and my mom are Ethiopian and came to this place. Order samosa pretty good and I order the veggie combo and my mom got the meat combo As soon as I tried the veggie combo I knew I was in heaven We enjoyed every single bite We came right when it opened and this one staff was so nice and helpful she deserved the 8$ tip Love the food and drinks would come here again
Ordered Beef Tibs with cabbage, and it was delicious! First, restaurant is clean, meat tender, and oh yes hot, not as in spicy but served hot. Recommend “Nile Restaurant” for best Ethiopian Food.
I enjoyed my visit and all the food I tried. I got the veggie sambusa, veggie appetizer platter (tomato salad and seasoned cold lentils with injera), and the veggie sampler platter for the entree. The service was good. The staff was friendly. I would recommend stopping in.
This is by far the very best Ethiopian I've ever had! We had the chef's special, the in house wine, the Wolfstrap red wine, and the Ethiopian coffee. Everything was fabulous but besides the food, the honey wine and Coffee really stood out. The honey wine is made in house and tastes like a carbonated mead - sweet and delicious. The coffee is strong and flavorful but the presentation is an experience you really shouldn't miss. Our waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable it made me brave enough to try new things and I'm so glad I did. You should go. You're welcome 😋
Brought my family here after seeing it on IG. We were in town for the holiday break and upon arrival were greeted immediately. We waited patiently for our food and have to say it was WORTH the wait. Food was excellent and satisfying. You can tell they took their time and have earned a returning customer in the near future.
I started with the Tomato Fitfit and had the vegetarian sampler for my entree. I had come intending to get the Misir Wat but decided to try the sampler which included the Misir Wat and other items. Everything was delicious. I left full but not stuffed. Next time I am in Orlando this will be on my planned places to eat.
We love to explore international food, and Nile Ethiopian was the perfect place to experience some incredible delicacies! We had the tomato fitfit as our starter, which was incredibly fresh and delicious! It was an excellent prelude to our main course: the meat combination and kitfo. If you like living on the wild side, you’ll enjoy kitfo! It’s semi spicy along with a savory spice mix that complement the raw, minced beef. The meat combination includes a set of well spiced dishes, all incredible in their own right. And, eating with your hands using the injera along with the decor gives you the sense that you’ve been transported overseas. We had great discussion with our waitress, and learned quite a bit about Ethiopian culture, food, and life. We will definitely return!
Such a great and yummy experience! The workers were super friendly and informative of the food culture. The injera was soft and a perfect pair for all of the stews. We had vegetarians and meat eaters in our party, & everyone loved the food. You also gotta commit to eating with your hands and feeding your loved ones. Definitely recommend if you’ve never tried Ethiopian cuisine:)
Went here with my partner for Florida vacations. This place introduced me to Ethiopian food and had me hooked onto the cuisine ever since. The injera bread is nothing like I’ve ever eaten (sourdough is closest thing I can think of in taste). I loved wrapping the savory fillings/dishes on top into the bread on the bottom. And the ceremonial coffee! So interesting. You have to come here on an empty stomach, because the portions are really filling and cheap for the amount you get. It’s so good, my partner and I dogged the food within 30 minutes when we visited for the second time here. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quiet, yet inviting, cozy, with nice music playing in the background. Servers were always nice and amicable.
I had a wonderful experience at Nile Ethiopian! It’s a family-owned business, and you can genuinely feel the warmth and authenticity as soon as you walk in. Buka took care of us, and he was absolutely amazing. I was trying Ethiopian food for the first time, and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and enjoyed everything. The vibe, the hospitality, and the food were all fantastic. Highly recommend visiting this gem!
Definitely try this place, I was so amazed by everything, from the food to the service and the attention to detail, wow
First time ever having Ethiopian food and it was delicious! The server was very friendly and took the time to explain everything to us. We got a sampler type of dish. It was nice to discover things we liked and didn’t like. The atmosphere was really cool too. It had a ton of Ethiopian artifacts and history.
This is the best Ethiopian restaurants I have ever eaten at! The food is amazing and the service is on point! This is a family owned business and you can tell they love what they do. My husband was new to this type of cuisine and the owner took the time to help him out with the menu and draw comparison to different types of foods that he would be familiar with. We tried the chefs special.l and the kitfo special as well. If you’re not entirely sure what to order, then just order the stuff special as it comes with all sorts of different meats and vegetables. For the more adventurous, the kitfo is raw meat similar to a tar tar in France. It was outstanding and I highly recommend it. My mixed drink was perfectly poured as well and the Sambuca to start was a wonderful meat pastry. Please check this place out!!
♡ First time trying Ethiopian Food and was love at first sight and taste ♡ The Chef's special was great ♡ and the Honey Wine was amazing, it's a must to try it! Our server was very lovely and explained to us how to eat since it was our first time. Everything tasted delicious ♡ and the atmosphere of the place was beautiful.
The food was absolutely delicious! The service and atmosphere are fantastic as well. Would definitely eat here again.
The food was authentic and amazing. The service was good. If you didn't realize you'll be eating with your hands, no utensils, but well worth it as it adds to the authentic experience. The platters are definitely meant to share. If you haven't visited, you must try this place!

This place is amazing. The food is always so wonderful and rich in flavor. It is a gem of an eatery on I-drives recycled chain places. If you want something special come here.
We’ve been here several times and the food has always been great. The Chef’s pick has delicious variety of beef, chicken and vegetable dishes. They can also up the spice level if you prefer it that way.
Easily the best Ethiopian food in Florida. Been there twice now and both times were amazing. Very delicious flavors and of course you eat with your hands! The coffee was fantastic too. Can't wait to go back to Nile!
My wife and I stopped in our baby-free night on the town. We settled on Nile because of the great reviews of the gluten free options. We ordered the vegan meal for 2, gluten free injera and the Ethiopian Honey Wine. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!! This was our first time eating Ethiopian food and it was amazing, we will definitely be back, and we'll even consider bringing the baby next time. The decor was nice, their booths are awesome! The service was helpful, and attentive. If you're looking for an excellent dining experience, trust me Nile will not disappoint. I'll be back soon.
Nile Ethiopian was one of the best Ethiopian restaurants that I’ve been to! The restaurant is cozy and decorated with beautiful art. The atmosphere is relaxed and staff is welcoming. The food was flavorful and the tej was the best I’ve had.

My husband wanted Ethiopian food today and we found a good rating one around home, so we gave them a try. We got there pretty early for a dinner at 3pm, no one but only us. The serve was really friendly and patient to give us recommendations. We ordered the Sampler Starter and Chef's Special Combination. They all tasted unique and fresh. Sample Starter: Tomato Fitfit, tasted like salsa, fresh and sour; Azifa, Lentils with Ethiopian mustard; Sambusa, like Samosas, our favourite. Chef's Special Combination: 2 types of beefs, 2 types of chicken, 2 types of lentils and pea; 2 types of cabbage. Each individual one contained unique taste, all fresh and we love it. Special one was their Ethiopian coffee, smooth and a touch of sourness, love it. We will recommend here if you want Ethiopian food. They even have their traditional family table too.
I am a fan of Ethiopian food. This place is good. The veggies choices are better and more than most other Ethiopian places I have been too. The injira could use little softness but not bad. The food was more tasty and spicy but not red chili spicy which is good. Definitely recommended. Little hard to find but not bad. Update: the ambience has changed a lot for the better. The bar looks nice. More ethnic looking decor
The food and flavors are great. The portion size is smaller than what I've had at other Ethiopian restaurants (yet plenty). The workers are transactional rather than friendly. Entrees cost about $15-$20 each. The injera was very thin and doro wat was prepared differently than I've had elsewhere. The yebeg tibs, doro wat, misir wat, and vegetarian meal for one were all tasty, and I've had better. If there wasn't a better Ethiopian restaurant right down the street, I would make this my favorite in the Orlando area.
This was a gem of a find! I’ve been looking for an Ethiopian restaurant in the area and was thrilled to find this one. The service was great. The food was delicious, but in comparison to other Ethiopian restaurants I’ve been to, the portions were small and the price was pretty high. It was definitely good, but a bit on the pricey side.
Good Ethiopian food but by no means the best we’ve had—it was authentic, but didn’t seem to have been made “with heart”. We had their special Nile lunch for two. Of the items provided there were only two that we thought were above average, the collards and one of the two chicken preparations. The service and atmosphere were also pleasant enough but lacked “heart and conviction”. Though authentic, this restaurant smacks of being geared to the tourist market rather than set up to serve the best Ethiopian food, service and ambience possible at this price point.
Came here for lunch and ordered the dinner combo for two. More than generous portions, super flavourful, especially the red lentils and split pea, with once exception (one of the beef items which was chewy) the meat was tender and tasty. The service was excellent and atmosphere relaxed. It’s not too far from the convention center and would definitely recommend it.
I always enjoy coming here, especially when I get to share a combination platter with a date—it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed, memorable meal. I’ve visited multiple times, and each experience has been consistently good. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant is also very spacious so you can dine here as a couple, family, or as part of a large group. Overall, it’s hard to find anything to complain about.

The worst service I can remember in a long, long time. Dining room was at 40% capacity on a Saturday night. It took 15 minutes to get drink orders in, another 10 to get glasses of water and bottled beer. In two hours my water was not refilled once. I think our server checked in on us once in two hours after getting orders in for food. Server made multiple comments about how much food was being taken vs how much wasn't in to-go containers. In the bathroom one stall, one urinal. No big deal. Urinal does not flush and as you can guess, that means its full of urine to the point of overflowing. The injera is void of any kind of taste whatsoever. Not the case in other Ethiopian restaurants I've been to locally. A little salt could go a long way. All other food was decent. Beef and chicken were seasoned and cooked very well. Very affordable. Appetizers and food for two with drinks and tip was under $100. Definitely won't be back though.
