Expect a wait but the chips and salsa were amazing. Everything was so fresh. Just the right amount of salt. We ordered beers while waiting on our delayed flight. Good if you're in the terminal.

Food was ok, wish it could've been a little bit better. Drinks and service were on point that's why it gets a 4 star. They do serve a lot for your money. I mean it's airport food so what else could you expect lol. Our server was checking on us which was nice because the restaurant was packed.

Stopped here while waiting for my flight. We had about a 20 minute wait, understandable considering most people aren’t in a rush if they are doing a sit down meal. My wife and I split some queso and chips. I found both the queso and salsa tasty. The chips were definitely out of a bag. I had the burrito with chicken covered in queso with refried beans and rice. Got to say I was blown away by the chicken. It was seasoned perfectly! My wife got 1 brisket taco and 1 beef taco. She enjoyed hers too. One disappointing/ confusing thing about the experience was the self ordering option. They have directions on all the tables, but it didn’t work. So we had to wait awhile for the waitress to come take our order. When we brought it up to her she informed us we she had the option to turn this on/off.

Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. I had about 25 min to kill to catch a shuttle so I ordered a drink. Unfortunately, my drink took so long to arrive, (I’m sure every guest is in a hurry here so ) that I had to down it and run to the shuttle- I was ten minutes late but called ahead so they waited for me- so kind! The service was good, the server was kind and helpful- but it’s just too busy to get anything there unless you have an hour to kill or more - at least in my experience.

We had a very rude server, it took forever just to get beer and when I asked for napkins he kinda just tossed them on our table. We ordered the exact same burger as last time and were really disappointed. Burger patties were much smaller, overcooked and had less toppings. Updated my stars to average the two experiences. This place is hit or miss.

Pleasant environment and good munching food to blow some time at the airport. Their guac and queso arent too bad for a chain Mexican restaurant. Don't forget to ask for military discount if it applies to you

There weren't a lot of servers, so they were decently busy even when the restaurant was quieter. My server was friendly and quick. Not as attentive as if I were eating at like an Olive Garden, but to be honest I don't need the constant attention lol. The entire place seems to be filled with QR codes that only somewhat work. Staff seems to have mixed opinions on this, especially since a table near me ordered via QR and accidentally added it onto the previous order from that table and the server had to fix it. If management reads this, I'd recommend looking into that! All in all, this isn't a terrible spot for lunch or dinner. Maybe if you're in a rush to catch a flight, not the right choice; I had a long layover so plenty of time to sit and relax!

Great spot in terminal A to sit and order a meal. They have a full service bar. The food was good. The chips and salsa was great.

Very meh. $21 burger came out like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. Luke warm at best. Tasted mediocre, even the meat for the burger tasted like any cheap store brand patties. Fries were not fresh. Chips and salsa was fine. Guacamole tasted standard, heavy on avacado and lacking onion, lime, tomato jalapeño and otherwise flavor. My company's quesadilla looked good but i didn't taste. Our server was perfectly fine. Sensed that we weren't in a hurry but also seemed pretty busy. They seem to rely on mobile checkout/ordering which I'm not a fan of. It dampers the dining experience in my opinion. The beer that I chose was excellent.

I saw a ton of bad reviews so I was hesitant to eat here but I wanted to sit down for a while my flight was delayed three times. I'm glad I did. Dimitry was my server and he was excellent very kind and very fast. We were seated within 45 minutes we had 20 people in front of us when we signed up on the waitlist. So it goes faster than you expect. The food was what you expect for a chain and for an inside the restaurant situation. The black beans and the rice were kind of plain but they came out hot and with little salt and pepper they came to life. Chips within and fresh though they lack salt. My salsa had visible red pepper flakes with a little bit of heat in the queso had jalapenos onions and peppers in it and was decent. It's not authentic by no means but it got the job done. My husband got the ground beef tacos which had more flavor than anything else at the table although not as good as at home but definitely better than expected. I got the mesquite chicken grilled tacos with small pieces of clearly grilled chicken lots of cheese and a soft warm tortilla and they provide plenty as far as portions go. It's expensive $20 for per plate basically but you're in a restaurant inside an airport where they've got you cornered so this is expected but at least they gave you plenty of food for the money. I'm not sorry I ate here even though I read terrible reviews. Out in the real world it wouldn't be my first choice but it was suitable for the situation. There was plenty of seating and it was nice and bright with TVs playing in a bar area. It was kind of a chaotic vibe as people moved in and moved out very quickly but that's to be expected. Servers kept everything cleared so the areas were quite clean. I would eat here again if I had to.

Fixed menu not the menu at all for the regular restaurant. The server was not very kind. I mean i get people have bad days but if we are being kind to you a thank you or you’re welcome or have. A great day or no problem something would’ve be better. He looked like we were bothering him the whole time and that we were the problem that he was having. My boyfriend got the carne asada and he was not a fan the rice was good though. I went safe and got the chicken fingers with fries and seriously they were the best! He loved them and was very jealous. There’s a big serving of them and fries and for the price totally worth it highly recommend.

I’m honestly disappointed with how I was treated today. Francis started off very nice and professional, but after I asked for a take-home box, the energy shifted quickly and I’m not sure why. I always tip — I work for tips myself — but today I couldn’t justify it. There was also another server who kept watching me yet checked in with everyone else to see if they were okay. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The only highlight at this On the Border was the food and drinks were great. The bartender on my incoming flight, was absolutely amazing - which is why I returned. I wish today’s service matched that level of professionalism.

Placed our food order and then waited over an hour to get our food. Chicken tenders had a slimy, shiny texture to them on the inside, it was a turn off to the whole dish. Made me question our other dish as well. It was difficult to find the waitress, and looked for the manager. He removed the dish from our bill. Do not recommend.

Lindsey the lady wearing a mask behind the bar needs to be fired, I sat down at the bar and was waiting for a good 10 minutes, I asked her if I could look at a menu and she got a huge attitude and screamed, We will wait on u when we can. It was very frustrating all I did was ask for a menu. Then I moved my chair slightly Ober to give the girl next to me more room and she goes " You can't sit here it's employees spot only" she like yelled it. Thank God I was helped by another guy who was very nice had a very nice like beard he saved the experience I hope he enjoys that 20$ tip and Lindsey gets 0 of it. Worse experience ever with a bartender.

We also responded 1 to confirm our reservation and they not only lost our spot but both the waiter and the “mari” who is the manger were very rude and demeaning. We are traveling with a family of elder person and two kids less than five and this is the response that you are late by a minute where as no one ever mentioned we should be there within 2 min to grab the spot. Disgusting food. We only had the option for breakfast as it was 10am. We all got the bacon, egg and cheese burritos with a side of fruit. It came with French fries which was super weird. Come to find out, they were cooked in old grease. The tortillas were hard. Eggs inside had no seasoning and bacon was super hard as well. Maybe they had the burritos prepped already and sitting under a heat lamp or something? Not sure. But it was horrible and none of us could eat but a few bites. Waste of $55.10. Would not recommend.

I should have read the comments before opting this restaurant. Chips and salsa is the worst. Overall I think for the high price I paid this is worst Mexican food I had so far. Chips are not crispy and very salty. Salsa is also very bad. I asked for anything spicy waitress said there is nothing else. I didn’t like the service as well. ordered a to go quesadilla, and the employee at the counter was very bothered by every interaction. when i asked if i could have my quesadilla “extra grilled”, she glared at me, and said “no, it’s on a timer”… i then asked the host at the restaurant area if there was anyway for her to assist, and what looked like a manager, interrupted and responded with “did you order at togo? if you did, they have to deal with it”…and then turned away. all 4 of the employees that i interacted with were extremely off putting. this is horrible customer service, not only was the staff rude, but they didn’t even offer to try to help out with an order that was $20 for a quesadilla. there is clearly no concern/motivation to provide quality customer service at this location. do not recommend.

When we walked in the atmosphere was already off. Asked the hostess for a booth she told us that she couldn’t give us one because they have to give their waitresses a 3-5 minute wait. Which would’ve been fine if she wouldn’t have immediately turned around and gave the next guest after us the booth we asked for. Our waitress was so rude. I get it, it was a rough day at the airport and everyone was stressed. I missed my 8am flight and was stuck till another flight at 5pm... so trust me, I get it!!! I don't need you being rude to me when I was being nice to you. I just want lunch at a table and to not eat fast food on my lap. Then to stop our group from leaving telling us we didn't pay even through we showed her all 3 emails saying we paid and she got the manager... by screaming for him through the kitchen to the point I heard her at the table! We dared to ask questions about the food when we ordered and you would have thought we were bothering her and clearly annoyed that we asked her anything. Took me 17 hours to get home I stead of 3 hours because I couldn't get through TSA, the least she could be was friendly after a VERY tough morning!!!

But waitress was rude to me bc I had already purchased 2 drinks at the bar and was simply trying to pay for them. Bartender told me to sit at the extra seats & pay with the waitress. I should have walked out without paying because no one would take my payment, but I waited until they were seats at the bar and paid.

The people at the bar made it better, I sat at the bar but barely got acknowledged. As a female bartender my self I understand when it’s busy and your under a lot of pressure but I literally saw my bartender Yasmary go to other men (multiple times) that came after me first and made sure they were taken care of first. I tried to ask for my chips and salsa but it was a hassle just to order another drink ( that I never got to order) I’m sure this place is nice but my experience to my already delayed flight was the cherry on top.

Poor service at best. Second day time here in the last 2 months. Will never eat here again. Just like the last time, out of burgers, out of brisket. None of the ketchup bottles had been filled, salt & pepper shakers were not full, what was in them would not come out. Food that did come out was warm at best,no flavor, chicken was definitely not fresh. Waitress never came back to check on us or get refills. When I asked her to take the only burger they had left on the menu off because it was cold, top part of the bun came off as soon as she set it down because it was caked with ketchup from the kitchen. Bottom was caked with mayonnaise, burger had what resembled some type of cheese. Bun was definitely old. Horrible experience and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Food was good and a good sized portion. Service was verrrrrrry slow. Server did not come to us during the meal to check for refills or anything. When it was time for the check we just had to sit and wait a very long time. It’s an airport and we’ve got flights to catch!!! You need to hire more servers if the current staff is outnumbered by how many tables get sat at once.

Its crazy how the owners of these businesses allow this type of gouging. Horrible business practices and I will definitely avoid any of these businesses outside of the terminal.

There was no hostess ask any questions too after that a server approached and notified us that we were not allowed to sit there because they were not serving so we sat there together our things and move and a lady heavy set and named Rebecca came over to yell we had to move in a very abrupt manner

I think they need to just focus on lunch because the breakfast is not it. Waste of my money and if my waitress was not so kind I probably would have demanded my money back. BUT I WILL NOT EVER RETURN

Got questioned if my ID I was using got me through TSA. Not sure why. Upselling draft beer when I asked for a 14oz. Server answer was that it was already rang in and it was only a $1 more. Food came out which looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp sauce was all dry and cheese looked like plastic. Also when asked about my I received plastic silverware server responded by saying it’s the Hosts job to give me metal cutlery. Overall would say the experience was very trash.

ordered a to go quesadilla, and the employee at the counter was very bothered by every interaction. when i asked if i could have my quesadilla “extra grilled”, she glared at me, and said “no, it’s on a timer”… i then asked the host at the restaurant area if there was anyway for her to assist, and what looked like a manager, interrupted and responded with “did you order at togo? if you did, they have to deal with it”…and then turned away. all 4 of the employees that i interacted with were extremely off putting. this is horrible customer service, not only was the staff rude, but they didn’t even offer to try to help out with an order that was $20 for a quesadilla. there is clearly no concern/motivation to provide quality customer service at this location. do not recommend.

The only thing that was good about this restaurant was the salsa. Never got our drinks. It took an hour and a half to seat us after they quoted 25 mins and skipped our name on the list. When we asked for the manager, he presented himself in a sloppy and unprofessional manner. No apology, just walked off. They didn’t even have the sides for quesadilla, sour cream, pico and guacamole. The restaurant was dirty, there were at least 20 empty tables and half of them were dirty. A smile and apology from the manager and some communication would have prevented this negative review. This restaurant lacks true leadership and it shows. I suggest you start hiring people who want to work here and want to serve people, the lack of urgency and friendliness is unlike any other establishment I’ve visited.

DANGEROUS Food Safety Issues – Avoid! ​I am writing this to warn others after a terrible experience at the On the Border in the Orlando Airport this past Sunday. We ordered two "Pick Two" meals to-go, and it turned into a health nightmare. ​The food was served completely cold, and shortly after consuming it, both people in our group developed severe symptoms of food poisoning and diarrhea. Travel is stressful enough without having to deal with a serious illness caused by a lack of proper food handling and temperature control. ​This is a major public health concern. If you are flying through MCO, please do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. No meal is worth the days of sickness that followed this one. ​Date of visit: Sunday, February 22, 2026

After advising Fabio I was allergic to tomatoes he tells the person in the back to remove the tomatoes. So of course I advise that would not be good enough and that I either wanted them to remake my food or just give me a refund. He disregarded what I said and tried to present me with the food again after I literally watched the man trying to remove the tomatoes from the food and giving it back to me telling me that they made it over. And of course I knew this was a lie so I said we can do one of two things. I can eat this, have a reaction and contact the lawyer or you can just give me a refund. At that point. I guess he understood the severity of the issue and finally had them remake my food. It was the worst experience I've had in a very long time. Very disheartening because I love this organization in general. But this visit was an epic fail. By the time I did get my food it look like they reduced the amount of refried beans I had. I'm not even sure if they even changed the plate for real at this point.

Our waitress was so rude. I get it, it was a rough day at the airport and everyone was stressed. I missed my 8am flight and was stuck till another flight at 5pm... so trust me, I get it!!! I don't need you being rude to me when I was being nice to you. I just want lunch at a table and to not eat fast food on my lap. Then to stop our group from leaving telling us we didn't pay even through we showed her all 3 emails saying we paid and she got the manager... by screaming for him through the kitchen to the point I heard her at the table! We dared to ask questions about the food when we ordered and you would have thought we were bothering her and clearly annoyed that we asked her anything. Took me 17 hours to get home I stead of 3 hours because I couldn't get through TSA, the least she could be was friendly after a VERY tough morning!!!

When we walked in the atmosphere was already off. Asked the hostess for a booth she told us that she couldn’t give us one because they have to give their waitresses a 3-5 minute wait. Which would’ve been fine if she wouldn’t have immediately turned around and gave the next guest after us the booth we asked for. Then when it came to ordering our food they were out of brisket, ground beef, coke, etc. This was made aware to us after the we had already ordered. Had we known that we would’ve left. Finally we wanted to place to go orders and the waitress goes you guys already ordered what are you ordering more for. Then we waited around for re fills for drinks and never got them. so all together their service was terrible. From the customer service to the food service. Would not recommend anyone to eat here.
