I brought my whole family here. The server, Raul, was very nice and immediately making jokes. We mentioned we were from St.Augustine and we had a great conversation. We first got the bread, best bread you will ever have. Then came the mains. I ordered the gnocchi. I wasn’t expecting much because I have had bad gnocchi in the past. I was immediately proven wrong. My whole family DEVOURED their dishes. We thought we had no room left in our stomachs but ordered dessert anyway. The adffogato was like an expresso on steroids. I could not recommend this place more and it has become a tradition for us to eat here.
Phenomenal food and attentive service! My husband and I came for lunch while we were in town and had a wonderful meal and cappuccino on the back patio. Highly recommend the arancini and the carbonara.
There isn’t a time where this restaurant doesn’t deliver. The food is exceptional, the staff attentive and the chef is Sicilian. The real deal. I don’t know how she does it but having spent much of my youth in Sicily, I can honestly say, eating the food here tastes exactly like what I remember growing up. Delicious. I’ll tell you another thing, I’ve been to this restaurant when it’s not busy & when it’s super busy. There will never be time where it isn’t worth the wait. Trust me on this.
This place is a gemstone in Orlando, we are always looking for Italian food and this one is one of the best, the service is great the waiter was so nice and super sweet. He knows everything about the menu and the specials, the place is small but cozy dessert menu has too many options, definitely we will come back! Thank you chef Barbara we had a great time😊 food was amazing ❤
This place is amazing! It has great music at a good volume level, the service was great and the hostess was very friendly. My favorite part has to be the women’s restroom. It’s stocked up on mouthwash, floss, and feminine products!! 100/10 ❤️
Peperoncino’s was absolutely amazing! The menu offered such a fantastic variety, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The desserts were a true delight, and Daniel’s service was perfectly accurate—every request handled with genuine enthusiasm and a welcoming smile. Every moment in this restaurant felt special and memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Italian taste and vibe.
A little piece of Italy in our own backyard. 🤤❤🇮🇹 I (Aline) have lived in Dr. Phillips for most of my life, and I thought I knew every restaurant in Orlando’s popular “Restaurant Row,” but I was wrong. Ashley came across Peperoncino while looking for new places for us to try in the area, and I’m so glad she did. We absolutely loved this place! We had a lot of food, maybe way too much, but the calories were totally worth it. One of our favorites was a chef’s special that they had for the day: Octopus & Shrimp Ceviche Bruschetta. This dish was absolutely fabulous. It was appealing to the eye, it smelled incredible, and it made our taste buds dance. 💃 The octopus and the shrimp were cooked perfectly—not chewy at all, and they were coated in a light, yet flavor-packed dressing. We wanted to lick the plate, but there were people sitting nearby that might have frowned upon that. We also tried another chef’s special that we loved: Cacio e Pepe (Salt and Pepper) Pappardelle with Porcini Mushrooms topped with burrata cheese and balsamic glaze. This dish was so cheesy and delicious, and we could tell on the very first bite that they used fresh pasta… yum. There were so many levels of flavor in this dish, and every bite hit us with a new note. The creamy burrata and balsamic glaze toned down the rich mushroom flavor creating an incredibly balanced dish. My personal favorite was the Ossobuco di Maiale (Pork) with Risotto. I love Ossobuco, and this dish did not disappoint. The slow-cooked pork set on a bed of cheesy, creamy risotto that was cooked to perfection in the au jus from the pork. Each bite was pure decadence. The meat fell of the bone effortlessly, and it was a truly memorable dish. Bravo, chef. Bravo. All in all, it was an amazing experience that we hope to re-create soon. We can’t wait to try more of their dishes and their Italian wines. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, and the people who work there exude pride in what they represent: fresh and soulful Italian food like grandma used to make. If you’re ever in the area, you should try this place. You won’t be disappointed. Great job, chef. 👍 🤤 Don't just EATTHRUUS, eat at Peperoncino! Follow us on Instagram @EatThruUs for more great eats.
I'm literally leaving this review as we eat, exceptional service, food is amazing, made for anyone that wants authentic Italian. Arancini are like my grandmother used to make them, the beet with mozzarella should be a vegetarian delight. Fiocchi ( pictured ) is a must have if you like cheese.
We had one of the best meals we have ever had at this authentic Italian restaurant. We are from Boston frequent the North End and this food was rivaled that cuisine! The chef is the owner who was trained in Italy, the waiter spoke fluent Italian was patient and exceptional to detail!! I asked for a meal off the menu of a Fruite' De Mari but in a white garlic Alaloi sauce it was outstanding not heavy or greasy perfection, my husband got a bolognese with a meatball over linguine amazing!! Prices are very fair good sized portions and they had happy hour appetizer specials! Including a lovely Pinot Grigio from Italy $7 run to this place skip the chains!!
Me and my fiancé visit here as often as we are in town. We have never had a better restaurant experience. We love absolutely everything about this restaurant. Perfect on every way from food to drinks to service. We have tried to work our way through the menu, (and love everything we have tried), but would be extremely happy eating the same dish over and over again. I would suggest this place to anyone who enjoys delicious, traditional Italian cuisine. Not only is the food unmatched, but so it the service. (Thanks Leo!!)
Amazing authentic Italian. Service was Outstanding! Found this place by accident and it will easily become a place we will go out of our way to come back to.
Yesterday was my first dining experience at Peperoncino. It is the first of many to follow. Their attention to details, their quality of food, ample selection of offerings and their excellent service all contributed to the most pleasant evening hosting dinner out for my group of friends They also went out of their way to accommodate my food allergies which I greatly appreciated. Many thanks to the absolutely outstanding team at Peperoncino for the perfect dining experience!
This is the most incredible Italian place I ever eat . The food from the chef Barbara is exquisite. The costumer services from the serves is just perfect and impeccable. I always have the same 2 serves , 2 guys Raul & Carlos . They just incredible!! . Thank you for the amazing food, the amazing costumer services . Thank you!!!
Found this place on a whim and so glad I did! The quality food and service was excellent!! We got an entree and a sauted’ vegetable side dish that was out of this world ~amazing olive oil and flavors ~would definitely be back!
This is such an amazing traditional home made place. A venezuelan italian couple got together and created a magic place full of originality and well defined tradition. Raul and his chef wife make sure you have the best italian cuisine experience! Quite a gem in such a touristy town. A MUST!!!
What to say about Peperoncino? It is the closest to Italy that have eaten. The quality on this restaurant is amazing! The chef cooks right in front of everyone, next to the bar, and the wait staff and bartenders are there too. You always see where your food is. The dessert menu is as long or even longer than the food, and the ones we had are amazing!!! Keep up the great job!!!
The story of how we found out about this place is pretty funny. We were standing in line for Via Napoli at EPCOT and an older guy was talking to a woman behind him in English and what I assume was Italian. Anyways, he told this lady about this restaurant. So I figured why not try it, I'm part Italian and I love Italian. Man was this place on point. It's a quaint little place that no tourist would ever know is there. Very small but homely. The waiter was extremely nice, he was very thorough and explained everything in great detail. The food was out of this world. Maybe the best Italian my mother, wife and I have ever had. The calamari was just okay, carrabbas still owns the market on that. But their bread was incredible. Their pasta delicious. Even their house wine was good! We will definitely be going back!
Peperoncino is a hidden gem that brings a piece of southern Italy to Orlando. We stumbled upon this place on the hunt for pizza and prosecco. We met another local couple during our first visit who rated this restaurant far above local Michelin star restaurants. The server team of 4 make us feel at home and constantly raise the bar. Chef Barbara is a magician in the kitchen. We continue to return for the exceptional food, service, and ambiance.
Pepperoncino is the unassuming, hidden local restaurant that smacks you up the side of the face for not discovering it sooner. In fact, we didn’t even mean to eat here, as we were going to try a sushi place a few doors down. But, when that place was insanely busy we backtracked and tried this. I think we ended up better off here. Everything is house made! All the noodles are made from scratch and wow can you taste it, it’s a level up from your typical pasta dishes. I got the squid ink pasta and it tasted so good I wanted to keep eating way beyond being full because it was so delicious (that’s a huge compliment from me). Beyond this, our waiter Carlos was quite the character. He was a picturesque waiter who had seriously great answers to any of our questions and described dishes and flavor profiles to the nines. And he was super attentive, I was beyond impressed. The overall experience really blew me away here. This is one you mark down and don’t let pass by because you will severely miss out!
Found this gem just by chance. Raul greeted us and waited on us throughout the evening. He is very knowledgeable and friendly which made our evening extra special. Took a chance on the house red wine and it was top-notch. Chicken parmesan and pasta carbonara were ordered and enjoyed immensely. We will definitely back!
Absolutely fantastic, authentic Italian food! Great wine selection, including dessert wines and speaking of dessert, the Gelato was amazing! Indoor and outdoor seating, the staff felt like a family. Excellent service, they just made it a really special night!
This place is amazing! The food has incredible flavor, and Raul provided outstanding service. We tried the Raul pizza, which was delicious, and the eggplants were perfectly prepared with fantastic, bold flavors. They also offer authentic Italian beers, and the dessert was fresh, with layers of delightful tastes.
I wish I could give more stars… Growing up in a household eating authentic Italian food, I have never been able to find a restaurant that can deliver the same flavors. Stumbled upon this place and could not be more grateful. I wish I lived in Orlando so I could eat here regularly. If you haven’t tried yet you need too.
As always, finding a truly Italian restaurant with homemade tomato sauce, a cozy atmosphere, and open on Sundays for lunch is a real challenge. This time, it was a gem: hidden in Doctor Philips, Peperontino, led by Calabrian chef Bárbara Alfano. The service is warm and welcoming, the atmosphere is filled with Italian music, and the food is simply wonderful. An authentic and charming experience. We will definitely be back many more times. Congratulations to the chef and the team!
The food is pretty authentically Italian and superior to many of the other “Italian” establishments. The pizza was delicious and the pasta dishes were on point. We will definitely be going back again!
My husband and I can’t recommend Peperoncino’s enough. We have come here on dates spanning over the last five years and the quality has never faltered. Made up of only ~10 tables, the restaurant’s charm is evenly split between the quality of the dishes and the intimacy of the service. Thank you, Daniel!
Come see Raul L the manager & Sommelier for a great experience. Bar seating is recommended. Fantastic food and service! Anthony C
This restaurant is legitimately, *Chef's Kiss* ! My husband was having a rough day and knew that having dinner here was just what he needed and we weren't wrong! Daniel was a fantastic server! He presented the specials in such a way that we ended up getting the apps and entrees that he recommended and they were all amazing! The quality of the food here is top notch! The chef is incredibly talented and we always leave feeling like we're on cloud 9! We're looking forward to our next visit soon! Gracias Daniel!
Some coworkers and I went here on a Wednesday night for dinner. The atmosphere is amazing and the host is out of this world. We are made to feel at home and like we are part of the family. The menu is extensive and has anything you could possibly want for an Italian dish. I can’t be certain, but I’m pretty sure someone’s Nonna is in the back making this food. We are hot a little bit of everything including appetizer. I had the gnocchi and steak. That gnocchi tasted like cheesy pillows from fell from heaven and entered my mouth. I will say that that dish was an experience not just a meal. When you’re done, go around the building or at the back door to hang out at the beautiful fountain in the courtyard.
Fantastic Italian family restaurant. We happen to come during Happy Hour and prices were very reasonable. Clams were delicious. Bread dipped in butter sauce was to die for. Peasant soup was delicious. Old Fashioned was perfectly executed. Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommended
We look forward to coming here when we’re in Orlando. We love it so much that we went two nights in a row during our recent vacation. If we didn’t live outside of Philly this would be our favorite spot. The food, service, and drinks are all so good. When you walk in you are welcomed by Chef Barbara. You automatically feel comfortable. The servers are extremely knowledgeable and really great at explaining the menu. Some of the things we got were- * Arancini Vari * Meatballs * Clams * Margarita pizza * Linguine ai Frutti di Mare * Gnocchi di Ricotta alla Sorrentina Everything was amazing. This is a hidden gem and we can not wait to go back!

My absolute favorite restaurant in Orlando. You feel like you're sitting at Raul and Barbara's personal kitchen. Their hospitality is incredible and Chef Barbara's dishes are simply exquisite. It's an Italy experience....cozy atmosphere, music, wine, friends, laughter and the most creative, flavorful dishes! 10 stars. To the entire staff - thank you for making our date nights so memorable.
Peperoncino has become a staple of coming to Orlando. Yesterday night we had the most wonderful dinner. Chef Alfano cooks incredibly delicious food and, although I am very bad with names, I'm almost sure his name is Raul, was an incredible host. I wish I could relive that night once more not only for the food but for the warm welcome we got from both of them. Thank you!
Raul best man in town will take care of you and you will eat some authentic Italian food. Hats off to Barbara for such an amazing place with an intimate atmosphere. God bless all the staff there. Io e il mio fidanzato non vediamo l’ora di rivederLa, Raul.

When I entered it gave me the impression of being a cozy restaurant and if it is, little one, you feel that you enter an establishment in the small Sicily, I ordered a sangria to start, it was very bad I do not recommend it I drank it and then I changed to a cabernet that If it was on point, we ordered some bruschettas di pomodoro at the start, it was very tasty, the main course a spaghetti frutti di mare and WOW what a divine meal last night, we finished with a beautiful and tasty nocciola cake, our waiter a bit informal but he was always pending us, the sound of the establishment please change the speaker, the only one that sounds is the one from the main entrance and it sounds very ugly. Thanks for the delicious food
I made a reservation here with my family for my mom's birthday and came here with my family. We got multiple dishes such as the truffle gnocchi, the carbonara, the calzone pizza , the bruschetta, and a specialty seafood pasta. The star of the night was definitely the truffle gnocchi. The sauce was very rich and creamy and the dish was delicious. The pasta is made in house I believe and it all tasted very fresh and flavorful. However, a slight critique I have is that protein is an additional charge, about $10 per dish. However, even after paying for protein only a few small pieces were added. If an additional charge is being added for protein, more should be added per plate. However the portions were quite filling but still pricey to not even include meat. The service was alright, but it did take a long time to place an order and then to receive the food. It was a Thursday, so The restaurant wasn't even very busy. Overall the menu did have many options that give me an incentive to come back.
We've been here almost 3 years ago, and this time around the food was not as good as the first time around. The service is top notch and the very small and intimate space is perfect for a date.
Found this place on a whim while driving around the shopping center and decided to give it a try. First off, it is VERY small. The inside is incredibly tight and there are very few tables. We ended up sitting outside where there were about three more tables. It would have been a lovely atmosphere except there is either a cigar lounge or a smoking area very nearby and You can smell the stench very strongly while trying to enjoy your meal. The bread starter that is brought to the table is absolutely lovely! So delicious and a wonderful way to start your meal. The star for us was the appetizer we ordered, thick crunchy bread topped with diced tomatoes and a lovely blend of olive oil and Italian spices with some fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. it came on a bed of arugula and basil. We added a little bit of balsamic vinegar and it was absolutely wonderful. The flavors complemented each other so well, everything just felt like it created such a depth of flavor and nothing was competing with the other. For our main dish we decided to share a pizza. La Picantissima. Our waiter was very kind and did let us know that any of the dishes with a little chili pepper on them are more on the spicy side. We should have listened to their word of caution, and the name of this dish, because the heat/spice level was so overpowering that it really diminished the taste of the dish itself. We love spice, but the heat level on this was to the point that you couldn’t taste any of the rest of the ingredients. The cheese on the pizza was a lovely texture and consistency, but the heat level destroyed any flavor profile. There was even some type of chili baked into the dough of the pizza. So there was not any single moment where you were getting anything else other than heat. It was very disappointing because the presentation of the pizza was beautiful, it looked delicious! But in terms of the actual flavor Of the dish, there wasn’t any. It was all heat. Clearly this is a matter of preference, so if you were someone who really really loves heat, maybe give this one a try. But just keep in mind that it really does blow out your pallet for anything else that you’re trying to taste. The biggest highlight was the service. Our waiter was absolutely lovely and very attentive. For two people we spent $71 before tip. That included the appetizer (added Prosciutto for a surcharge), pizza, and One glass of wine. If we had been able to enjoy the pizza, I wouldn’t think it was too expensive. But since The pizza was pretty inedible, that was a big disappointment and made the price tag feel like it was too much.
I wanted to love this place but I didn’t. Heard about it on TikTok and how great it was, so finally went to try it. I usually go to Fresca on this side of town, but thought, why not make an exception. I was not impressed and almost disappointed. We ordered octopus for app Lasagna and carbonara for main Finished with tiramisu Bread arrived at the table. The bread was actually 10/10. Super fresh and tasty. Octopus was a 5.8/10. I thought it was just too drenched in the sauce. I never had red sauce with pulpo and it tasted pretty good but it was just too much sauce to pulpo ratio. Lasagna is a secret family recipe and I LOVE a good Italian secret recipe dish. Unfortunately I couldn’t properly enjoy this because this was microwaved prior to serving. I was extremely disappointed to find my plate extremely hot and one side of lasagna hot while the other side was like warm. 2/10. Carbonara was too creamy (too much sauce again) in my opinion. Tiramisu was 10/10.

Expensive dishes. Typical Italian recipes which the staff claim is ancient family recipes from 'the old country'. But prices are high, so beware. Service is good and accommodating. A good Italian food experience, not rushed or forced. Relaxing atmosphere. Beer is Italian also, and not something that you'll find at local grocery store. Wines are Italian and average.
Let me tell my history. This is the second time that I went to this restaurant. First time, was basically one year ago, we tried both sangria (red and white), ate the ossobuco, arancini and gnocchi. I remembered that the arancini with meat was delicious, the other flavor not so much. The gnocchi was good and the ossobuco and risoto really good (except with that acidity taste at the end), but the sangrias were amazing, with some taste of basil, totally new. So, we decided to returned there today, since they have a new menu. I ordered a house wine and my husband the sangria. We thought the sangria that it came, was something of the house (that costs $6), because were boring and had nothing to do with the last one, but at the end, was a “special sangria”, that costs $12 with a flavor of $5. The bread was really good, I got excited and waiting for the main dishes. Artichoke was a joke, just something fried with pieces of Gorgonzola (or blue cheese) on top! 😒 The bruschetta came, the ideia is really nice, but the execution horrible. Their bread are really good, but was too big, with a huge amount of Gorgonzola (no paste or sauce, just stack on top) walnut and honey, disappointed again. The fnocchi, a pasta filled with 4 cheeses (as you can see in the menu that I took a picture) was nice, a little cold inside and as my husband said about the sauce: “just cornstarch with water and bacon”. Anyway. A “steak” of almost 4 inches, and smaller than 3/4 inch high, over a pasta, for $27, another joke. And to finish the dinner, we ordered the duck, $31, for a really nice mushroom risotto (the flavor was good, for real), with 5 pieces of duck (that doesn’t taste good), with 2 cherries. I will tell you, the cherries, combined with the duck and the risotto is perfect, BUT, you only have 2 cherries for 5 pieces of duck, it doesn’t work! And we didn’t orders dessert, because the tartufo that we ordered in the first time, it was only a boring ice cream. It was just something that I needed to share. Not a place that I will come back again.
I would like to start my review by saying I’ve been there many times before today but I wouldn’t go back! We arrived at 6:57pm asked for a table of 9 people, 5 adults and 4 kids, we were told to wait for the praise table to be cleaned. We waited 25 min, they asked us to seat and they were going to clean in the meantime. Once seated, after walking through the restaurant, around 3 min later the guys came and told us that the owner called and told him that the restaurant was all reserved till 8:30pm. I can tell it was because of the kids, but if this is a kids free place it should be state everywhere, or they should’ve told us. I can’t believe how they sat us and then suddenly we are not able to seat. We noticed they were uncomfortable with the presence of the kids. So if you are planning to go to this restaurant make sure not to bring your kids, it’s not kid friendly! We were judged all the time we were there waiting for the table! I am not a mom myself, but I wouldn’t go back anymore. And I will make sure friends do not go there because the treat was unacceptable.
