Pizza Bruno is praised for its delicious pizza and excellent atmosphere, making it a great spot for families and friends. However, some customers found the flavors basic, prices high, and service needing improvement. One reviewer noted burnt pizza bottoms.
Tip: Check the bottom of your pizza to ensure it's not burnt, as some customers have reported this issue.
Pizza Bruno fully deserves its spot on the Michelin list year after year. We came in around 8:30 PM on a weekday and were pleasantly surprised to find a table available. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. We ordered the wood-fired cauliflower and the truffle pizza—both were absolutely outstanding. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. An excellent dining experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
I found this place on the Michelin guide and was not disappointed! I went the other day and was really impressed by the quality, quantity, and reasonable price of everything! It’s casual but fun with indoor and outdoor seating. There is a full bar with a great selection of drinks and even seasonal options. We started with the garlic knots and kale salad and they were both insane. So much garlic and the salad had the perfect amount of toppings. We also got the tight socks pizza, it’s topped with pepperoni, emperor dressing (caesar), and Thai basil and it was so good! I will be back. Live laugh love Pizza Bruno!
Pizza Bruno is hands down one of the best mom-and-pop gems in Orlando. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and welcoming—perfect for everything from a casual night out to a dinner with friends. The appetizers were absolutely on point, setting the tone for an incredible meal. The main courses followed through just as strong, with flavors that were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. It’s clear the team here takes pride in every detail, from the food to the service to the overall vibe. A must-visit spot if you’re in Orlando and looking for authentic, quality pizza with heart and soul behind it.
Excellent pizzeria! The garlic knots are to die for!!! Great service and each pizza we tried was spot on. We got the 92, the Ghost and and an OG pizza. All we're delicious! We drove from Winter Garden area but we'll definitely be back!
Went for the garlic knots and returned 3 days later for some more!! Got some inside and more to go. Their pizzas are authentic and very tasty. Even the crust is good, and I'm not a crust person.
Came in for weekend brunch and, unfortunately, devoured everything before I could get a decent photo—except for dessert! Everything on the brunch menu was absolutely delicious, and I always make sure to grab a pizza to go. Special thanks to Dakota for the great service!
Best garlic knots ever! If you love garlic this place is the spot! Our pizza was awesome with the hot honey. My wife got a margarita and loved it, super talented bartender. Cool spot for sure. If we are ever back in Orlando we will definitely be back.
Cheese pizza and garlic knots were absolutely amazing! The server brought us olives which were unique and tasty! They had a wide selection of local brewery beers. The service was always great and we felt very welcomed. We have return since our first visit cause it’s the best pizza we have had in Orlando!
In town for work and a few coworkers and I stopped in for dinner. Food: Excellent we had some delicious garlic "knots" to start out with. These were not your average knots and an amount of garlic that would kill a vampire if he walked into the restaurant. Service: Excellent, we were greeted as we arrived by a host at a reception type desk, she and our waitress were equally friendly and polite. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. Ambiance: Welcoming environment, with a laid back feel. Modern diner vibes, full bar, booth seating and outdoor dining. Great pizza, that wood burned oven taste. Delicious. PIZZA BRUNO
If your from NY like me you know how hard it is to find good pizza. Problem solved..Come here and you won't be disappointed. From a plain cheese to specialty...All top shelf.....Best in Orlando period !! BTW the Garlic Knots were the BEST I ever had and our waiter, Lucas was fantastic
We recently discovered this place, and loved their NJ style pizza. They have the best garlic knots I have ever had. The second time around we got the octopus appetizer and it was so so good! This is one of my favorite pizza places in Orlando. It’s a small but cozy place.
First time here. Pizza Bruno was recommended by a friend. Theresa greeted us outside as they're only taking "to-go" orders. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered the classic cheese and added pepperoni and basic. Theresa suggested an order of meatballs as appetizers. We were able to sit at a picnic table outside in the parking lot and Theresa brought us our meal. Again, she was friendly, attentive and checked on us throughout our meal. The meatballs were delicious. The sauce was perfect with a hint of spiciness. Their consistency was just as perfect. I highly recommend them. The pie was cooked to perfection and the pepperoni was unlike any other I've tasted. We will definitely be regulars. Joey V. says "Check it out."
This Place Is a true Gem! My friend told me about it and I have to say it’s one of the Best Pizza in Orlando the ingredients are Legit So fresh and unique if you are a true pizza lover but also looking for a real artisan craft pizza this is it people ! Come check this place out the garlic knots and the Pizza are out this world not to mention the Beer and Slush Blackberry is a Must ! 5 Star ! We love it thanks so much we really enjoyed ! Rossy and Alan !
Three of us stopped here to try this place out . homemade is always best so we rarely eat Italian out. We were pleasantly surprised. We tried one pasta dish one pizza in the garlic rolls and everything was exceptional. The pasta had the perfect texture ..gsrlic rolls were off the chain.
**Updated review of Pizza Bruno:** Pizza Bruno is still a credit to wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza for all of Central Florida. The food is still delicious and the service is still exemplary. The restaurant has grown a bit since I wrote my last review, but it's still relatively small. There's a few more tables, but the overall atmosphere is still cozy and intimate. I'm glad to see that the menu has remained largely unchanged. They still have a few appetizers, a couple salads, pizza, and dessert. And the pizzas are still 12" and perfect for sharing. On my most recent visit, I tried the Margherita pizza and the Nduja pizza. The Margherita was simple but perfect, with fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato sauce. The Nduja pizza was a bit more adventurous, with spicy nduja sausage, mozzarella, and ricotta cheese. Both pizzas were delicious, and I can't wait to try the other options on the menu. And please don't forget to order some garlic knots. I also tried the cannoli again, and they were just as good as I remembered. The shells were crispy and the filling was creamy and delicious. The service at Pizza Bruno is still top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They're also good at working together to make sure that everyone has a great dining experience. Overall, I still highly recommend Pizza Bruno to anyone looking for great food and great service. It's one of the best pizza places in Orlando. I hope this updated review is helpful! Pizza Bruno is a credit to wood-fired Neapolitan style pizza for all of Central Florida. Our dive afterward was filled with positive comments and stories about how delicious the food was and the exemplary service we received. This is not a big restaurant. Maybe 18 tables at the most. You should expect a bit of a wait but it is seriously worth it. The hostess greeted us with a smile within seconds of walking in. She also took a second to explain the wait time for a table and advised us that we could order drinks from the bar while we wait. Her kindness and delightful attitude set the tone for the rest of the evening. Once seated, Carly came by with water and just the right amount of small talk and info about specials for the night. She took our drink and appetizer orders and gave us time to look over the menu. Side note. I personally love that the menu is uncomplicated. They have a few appetizers, a couple salads, pizza and dessert. This is a pizza joint. They know what they are and they do it very well. All the apps were very enticing. We went with the garlic knots for this visit. They were perfect to the point that I questioned if I have ever eaten real garlic knots before. The pizzas are all 12". Three people can easily finish two and still have room for dessert. We opted for the Ninety Two and the Roni. They were both DELICIOUS and full of flavor. I definitely want to try all the other pies now. Please do yourself a favor and save room for some cannoli. We tried the lemon and Nutella. I haven't been to Sicily yet but I have to believe that the Italian pastry chefs there would appreciate the crunchiness of this shell and the flavor of the filling. I also feel compelled to mention how well everyone worked together here. This place is busy and not once did we ever feel that the customer service was compromised. From our perspective, it felt as if they were having fun. The food still came out in a timely manner. They made time to address our questions and we never felt rushed. They were clearing and resetting tables as if the entire crew was performing a beautiful dance set to a modern day aria. Okay, maybe that last part was a little dramatic. The point is that you have got to eat here if you appreciate great food and even better service.
I got takeout from here a little while ago. This place consistently places on the best pizza awards, and I haven't been here in like seven years of living in Orlando, so I figured it was time. I picked up my food, drove it home, and dug in. I got an app, and I had to go with a classic, the Meatballs + Lemon Ricotta (Nona’s Recipe - Beef & Veal with Fresh Parsley & Garlic). These were so nice. There's very little filler in these balls. Just meat and a nice, acidic tang from the ricotta. Very satisfying. For my pizza, I got the The 5-0 (Fresh Mozzarella, Cheddar, Speck Roasted Pineapple Sauce Swirl, Jalapefios, Cilantro, Grana Padano). This was fun! There's only one size of pie here, so if you're really hungry, order two. But year, the toppings were very nicely balanced, and there were just the right amount of each of them. The crust was sprinkled with some shredded cheese all the way around. A note, this place places on the category that's specifically gourmet pizza, I believe. So like, elevated pizza. And it works. Comparing this place to Lazy Moon would be very tough. Apples and oranges. I'm glad they're each in their own category, and I can see why this one is always on those lists. Good show guys. I finished up with a Cannoli. I ordered a flavored cannoli, but they gave me a plain one. Oops. Either way, you could tell that that it was freshly fried and stuffed to the brim with the filling. Very crispy, very unctuous. I was a fan. Overall, this place was great. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I will be back if I'm ever in this part of town and need some pizza.
Found this place just driving by. We shared a half salad which was so big we took some home. Very fresh and tasty! This place is known for their garlic knots and marinera dipping sauce. It's smothered in a garlic paste but goes fantastic with a soda. For the main course we shared a 12" pizza with meatballs. I highly recommend it. We will be back for sure
super sweet, funny, and attentive service. Matthew and the folks over there are extremely generous and fun! local gem that we will definitely be returning to, so so glad to have come across him and Pizza Bruno 😊 (pictured: blanca pizza and garlic rolls, with the garlic butter and marinara sauce) ((not pictured: latte with locally sourced beans, and half of the pizza that was immediately demolished 😋))
Great customer service. The food on point, location is good. The pizza was well made like the Maitland location. My group was 4 persons.
We FINALLY made it to Pizza Bruno and let me tell you it was worth the drive! Just look at those garlic rolls would'ya! 😍 The kale salad was, as I'd been told, delizioso! Golden raisins, candied pecans and fresh kale tossed in their Emperor's dressing. The Margherita 'Za, straight from their wood fire oven with a light char to prove it, had a thin crust smothered in a slightly sweet marinara, fresh Italian cheeses, and basil. For dessert, one of the best cannoli I've ever had, with a creamy, lemon ricotta filling enjoyed with a Foxtail Coffee Co. espresso and cold brew. I'm stuffed in all of the best ways! The service (Thanks, Kendra!) was impeccable and we give it a hard 10/10! Thanks so much for your hospitality Pizza Bruno, we'll visit again very soon! 🙂
Went to Pizza Bruno for the first time yesterday after hearing some hype. All hype is 100% deserved! Everything we ate was truly delicious and included surprising but wonderful flavor combinations. We went specifically for the garlic parm wings, only available on Mondays. They're kind of charred, served with a tzatziki-like sauce that I liked but my friend skipped, and oh so good. The meatballs will knock your socks off. The pizza has a delicate garlicy crust and they offer an array of nontraditional toppings. The Nutella and classic cannolis were both fabulous. Lighting is low so the pics aren't great, but you should go here, for sure.
Pizza Bruno is a hidden gem among a sea of chain restaurants in Orlando; especially if you like Neapolitan style pizza. It's more of a mix between American and Neapolitan style pizzas taking the best ingredient combos and crust respectively from both styles and combining them. The Garlic Knots are a must!
A little understaffed someone help them out. Delicious pizzas though, I've tried 4 of them (this is the 2nd time I've gone to this place.) The garlic knots are delicious too. The tiramisu was fine but im not a big fan of it anyways. The Thai Swirl, Thick Socks, New Haven Clam, and probably the rest are all delicious. Highly recommend.
In a world full of mediocre pizza, pizza Bruno stands out above the rest. Delicious wood fired Neapolitan style. We started with the calamari, which was high quality and served with the delicious house marinara. For pizza the OG, and margherita pizza were our choices with the margherita being our favorite. We got there about an hour before close so it was on the quieter side. The atmosphere was very cozy with low light and good music. Perfect for a casual but intimate date night. Our server was attentive but not overbearing, and made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommend when in Orlando. 5/5 will be returning
This is a special place! We had an event here on the patio with the heaters and it was a great experience. Service was unparalleled and the food was amazing. If you are looking for amazing pizza you found your new hot spot- but the offer so much more. It was packed on a Thursday night and that says everything you need to know. Highly recommend!
I love this place because it has such a pleasant atmosphere. You can choose to sit indoors or outside, although during this season it’s definitely more comfortable to eat inside. When you arrive, they serve a variety of olives in olive oil—some spicy ones too, which are delicious if you enjoy bold flavors. The service is excellent. They have a good selection of beers, and in our case, we weren’t sure which one to choose, so they kindly offered us a free sample before we ordered. We then had pizza, which is quite different but, in my opinion, very tasty. It’s Neapolitan-style—thin crust and very flavorful. I had one with truffle, which had a strong taste and no red sauce. Some people at my table found the flavor a bit too intense, but I absolutely loved it. They also have delicious salads, and we finished the meal with the cannoli, which was divine—true Italian flavor.
Wow, this place was great! Saw that Dave Portnoy went here for his one bite review and gave it over a 7. I think a 7.5 or 7.7. I feel like it was even better! I i've had pizza all over the world and all over italy, including naples this pizza was very good.It tasted just like I was eating pizza in naples, in a way, I liked it a little bit better because the crust wasn't so floppy, it was nice and crisp. The bartender was very nice and hard-working and makes a absolutely delicious Margarita. They also had some good beers for sale there. The vibe was good inside plus they have outdoor seating. They have a takeout only section and a restaurant type spot plus Mondays is Margarita Monday. Where margaritas are on sale, as well as all their classic pizzas are only ten dollars highly recommend this place top notch.
Amazing pizza, but don't skip the garlic bread! It’s perfectly buttery, toasted to perfection, and honestly a meal in itself. Great food and even better service.
Gave into some tiktok posts about this place and am SO GLAD I did!! Came for the garlic knots and was blown away by them as well as their "Dirt Nap" pizza (half with prosciutto, half without). Literally will be dreaming about this meal for the rest of forever. The food was fresh and delicious, the pizza crust has the perfect chew, the garlic knots are loaded and yet somehow they manage to not be overwhelming. Everything is so fairly priced too! The staff was kind and though they were super busy, the staff was attentive and everyone was pulling their weight. It was honestly so refreshing to see!! The only downside is that there isn't a whoooole bunch of seating so its definitely a get in where you fit in type thing lol. Luckily we arrived at the perfect time and didn't have to wait at all (though for this food— it'd be BEYOND worth it!)
Pizza Bruno stands as a testament to what happens when passion meets precision in pizza-making. This Orlando institution has carved out its reputation through an unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity, anchored by its imposing Neapolitan oven that commands attention from the moment you enter. The pizzas emerging from this wood-fired behemoth exhibit all the hallmarks of true Neapolitan craft: a crust that achieves that perfect balance of char and chew, sporting leopard-spotted bubbles around its circumference. The dough, allowed to ferment slowly, develops a complexity of flavor that serves as an ideal canvas for their thoughtfully curated toppings. However, before delving into the pizzas, one must address the garlic knots - a menu item that has achieved near-mythical status among locals. These aren't your typical afterthought appetizers; they're massive, pillowy creations that arrive glistening with garlic-infused olive oil and a generous dusting of aged pecorino. The exterior presents a satisfying crunch that gives way to an interior of remarkable tenderness. The wings, while perhaps unexpected at a pizzeria, deserve equal acclaim. A 24-hour brine ensures each piece maintains its succulence through the wood-firing process, resulting in wings with crackling skin and perfectly seasoned meat that pulls cleanly from the bone. These represent a masterclass in how proper preparation elevates a simple dish to exceptional heights. What truly sets Pizza Bruno apart is the palpable sense of care infused into every aspect of the operation. The owner's presence and engagement with both staff and customers creates an atmosphere where attention to detail feels less like a business strategy and more like a natural expression of genuine hospitality. The staff shares this ethos, demonstrating both knowledge and enthusiasm about the menu while maintaining the casual, welcoming vibe that makes Pizza Bruno feel simultaneously special and comfortable. For visitors to Orlando seeking authenticity in their pizza experience, or locals in need of a reminder of why Pizza Bruno has earned its sterling reputation, this establishment delivers consistently impressive results. It stands as proof that with the right combination of skill, ingredients, and passion, a pizzeria can transcend mere dining to become a genuine culinary destination.
It might seem counterintuitive, but I almost don’t even want to talk about the Pizza. The star of the show for me are the garlic knots. The knots, paired with a magnificent garlic sauce, are unlike any garlic knots I’ve ever had. However, that’s not to say the pizza isn’t good. I love the 5-0; it’s my personal favorite.
I can’t say enough about how great this place was. The two young people working there were both great at their jobs, big smiles on their faces and very attentive and kind. The food was incredible. We went to try the pizza, but I read other reviews and had to try the garlic bites too, and they were exactly as advertised. Amazing. We had a salad that was phenomenal as well and the pizza. I love to try new pizzas and this one definitely stands out and made it to the top of my favorites. I highly recommend the restaurant if you are in the Orlando area. Pizza Bruno is an excellent.
I went there yesterday and had a kale salad, Marguerite (sp?) pizza, and a blonde ale beer that had a slight vanilla taste. It was all super delicious!! The wait staff was super friendly. 🤩👍 Loved the atmosphere! I’ll definitely be back!
Love love love Pizza Bruno. My ONLY qualm is that sometimes the wait can be a bit long and sometimes they run out of the precious garlic knots. Gotta go early or not at super busy times because it is absolutely worth it. Their pizzas are delicious and the garlic knots are on an entirely different level. The menu says they have too much garlic but I beg to differ, personally I think it is the perfect amount of garlic. They could add more if they wanted to. The hack is to ask for a little container at the end and take the extra garlic home with you and make pasta with it.
ESCAPE THE CHAIN RESTAURANTS- This is the perfect Pennsylvania or upstate NY pizza place nestled into a strip mall in Orlando. Excellent, artful wood fired pizza, complimentary olives, HUGE garlic knots, a decent wine list and house made cannolis. So glad a local took me to this place while traveling in business. In a sea of unending bland chain restaurants this neighborhood place is a stand out.
Look, I’ll just be honest with y’all. I’m taking off my critic’s hat for this review, and putting on my satisfied patron hat, because if there are any flaws where this establishment is concerned, I’m not snooty enough to find them. The pizza is nothing short of glorious. The salad of smoked beets in a rich, dill-forward crème fraiche, orange zest and toasted pistachios, magnificent. I love the soundtrack. I love the unpretentious interior space. The service is quick, courteous, welcoming and friendly. I mean, genuinely friendly, not the “I’ll be disinterested the entire meal but smile warmly when I bring the check” friendly we’ve all experienced ad nauseam. If you find a fault here, let me know. Better yet, just sit back, relax, revel in the experience, and leave with your faith in humanity restored.
Simple place with very friendly staff, Page was our server for last night and she was the best. The place has amazing food. We had the garlic knots that were very good and the “Tight socks” pizza that was very good. Pizzas are cooked in a wood burning oven so some tips were a little too well done but no problems.
Best pizza in Orlando, their wood-fired pizzas are top-tier, crispy, perfectly charred crust with bold, fresh toppings, but do not sleep on the kale salad. It might sound simple, but it’s hands down the best kale salad I’ve ever had. Perfectly dressed, balanced, and somehow craveable in a way salads usually aren’t. It's an absolute must-try. Whether you're a local or just visiting Orlando, Pizza Bruno should be at the top of your list. Can’t wait to come back!
It was my husband's birthday and he LOVES pizza, so he found this place on Yelp! When we walked in, it was pretty dead. I was relieved because we had a party of 13 total. We walked in a little before 5 PM and didn't realize it was almost happy hour. The restaurant quickly filled! The staff was all friendly and accommodating for our huge party during happy hour. Max was so pleasant and the staff worked together to get our food out efficiently and accurately. I am not a huge pizza fan, but I like it occasionally. I ordered the Octopus and it was big enough to share since we ordered salad for the table, as well. Everything was decently priced and we even had leftovers. We will return for sure!
Heard a lot about Pizza Bruno but finally stopped to check it out, they offer pickup as well as dine-in. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as beer/wine/cans and mocktails. All of the pizzas are 12” and they will do custom pizza ($/topping). The crust is thin but chewy (not crispy/cracker). The garlic knots are famous and it’s because they are amazing, large dinner rolls covered in garlic-Parmesan butter with some of their “knot sauce” marinara. We also had the caprese salad, I’ve never seen it served chopped up into bite size pieces but I actually prefer it this way and it’s easier to share. Great local pizza spot to check out!
Garlic knots and margarita pizza were the standouts. We also tried ‘Roni. It was good but it was extremely hot and we all enjoy spicy food but it was too extreme for me to enjoy (other adults in our party did eat 2 pieces but I could only tolerate one) They had a newer blueberry pizza. It was really good too. Unique. My 11 year old just said “I’m still dreaming about that margarita pizza”🤣 we will be back.
BEST GARLIC KNOTS EVERRRR!!!!! loved their pizza and their salads are made for sharing! Always bring friends when they come to visit from out of town. Staff is friendly as well!!! Thanks for bringing us thr most memorable garlic breath ;)
This is our favorite restaurant in all of Orlando, hands down. Pizza is a commodity, but finding a local pizzeria that deliberately sources very high quality ingredients to make excellent pizzas and dishes is much harder to find. It's a small business and they take care of their patrons. What may be even better than the pizzas are the garlic knots (made with "too much garlic") - locals know to put in your order as soon as you get to the table. We take all of our friends and family that visit here for a good time, and so we highly recommend!
We were pleasantly surprised by this location. We came for lunch and they had an $18 lunch special, any pizza came with a salad. And these salads were amazing. I didn’t get a picture of the tomato burrata one but it was sooo good and the chopped salad just as equally amazing. The pizzas were delicious as well, napolitana style with fresh ingredients and the dough was just right. Absolutely loved that, and crushed all the pizzas. The size of the pies are 6 slices so you could easily share but we were a hungry group and a curious one to try out the different pizzas so with 4 people we got 4 pizzas but we ended up taking a full box home too. Service was great too!
My kids wanted to try the garlic bread they saw on Tiktok so we went while vacationing at Disney. It did not disappoint. We received a warm welcome, great customer service, nice and clean place, and absolutely great tasting food. We will return for sure!
This place is incredible. First place we go when we land in Orlando. Been twice now and the food, customer service, and vibe were all fantastic. Last night a young lady with orange hair was so helpful and kind. High quality ingredients, open kitchen where you can see the magic happen. The garlic knots are worth the visit themselves. Wife loves the kale salad. IDK. Just go.
Before you read just know NO CASH I’ve seen this place on Instagram so i was so excited to try. I came straight after the airport for a bite to eat, the restaurant was actually a bit busy so I waited at the front for a bit. The server came over and it was only me so I sat at the bar, he let me know what specials they have so I got a classic OG pizza and half kale salad for $18 which was great. Also got a half order of the famous garlic knots which were amazing, out of the ordinary and huge! Also got a Nutella cannoli which says $6 on the menu and I was charged $7 so the menu may need to be updated. Service was good, food is great, great atmosphere, I love it here!! Only thing is this places accepts NO CASH and I don’t remember seeing that on their website or menu, kind of a bummer but whatever.
My Favorito lugar.. cuando me olvido de la dieta😁 Lo recomiendo
Excelente opción para una buena pizza y excelente ambiente para ir con familia o amigos.
Es lo mejor de lo mejor 👌
Pizza Bruno is a hidden gem for pizza lovers. This location is on Curry Ford Rd. They offer different specials and happy hour during weekdays and also offer brunch on the weekends. We arrive right after the opening of 5pm. Had the place to ourselves. The hostess seated us quickly. We ordered garlic knots, kids pizza and an OG pie. If you follow them on social media (Instagram) or sign up for their email newsletter, you can get discount codes and find out about specials. The garlic knots are what they are known for and they didn't disappoint. The pizzas were made fresh and also very tasty. We will come back for sure. Check them out.
We got there when it opened. Server was on fire that day, recommended excellent choices. The food was delicious. My husband noted how soft and tasty the meatballs were. They were very large and he was only able to eat one but happily took the other two home. We had the NY 18"cheese pizza. And a chopped salad. It was more than enough food for lunch and dinner for 2 ppl. We will be back to try other pies.
Solid wood fired pizza with lots of creative choices. Ordered the ghost with fresh mozzarella, sopressata, basil, and hot honey. I recommend it! The place has a unique chill atmosphere with enthisiatic staff. Wine, beer and seating both in and outdoors. Worth a visit or two. Or three.
These garlic 🧄 knots were absolutely amazing!!! I would definitely come back just for these. Even though it was $12 for 4, they were ginormous so it was worth it. The dirt pie had a great mix of different flavors with truffle Parmesan and mushrooms 🍄🟫 . However, the NY style margarita pie was lackluster. I swear it was the same sauce I had with my garlic knots. Especially for the high price tag on a medium sized pizza, I would expect better. 🤨 However, I would come back again simply for the dirt pie and knots and would like to try other pies! I’ve heard Pizza Bruno described as a “hipster pizza joint” and while I don’t fully disagree, the food generally does live up to its good reputation. The pizza and garlic knots were very yummy with the pizza actually being better than the knots for me. Service is solid but the atmosphere was a bit dark and “bar like” for my tastes. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying a few more items to see if any cross over into the “excellent” territory!
The reputation of this place is highly ranked in terms of local Pizza. And I liked what we had. I am however slightly biased against coal fired pizza but I do think this place does it very well. High quality ingredients and very good service. Relaxed comfortable environment, slightly on the grunge side. Its worth trying!
They were right about the garlic knots. They were huge and delicious. Pizza is an acquired taste. Lots of different combinations. Buffalo wings were pretty good too. Music was to loud but maybe that's just me. We had to ask the server to repeat herself because of it. Overall good experience.
New Neapolitan pizza is spot on. Very good pies, we tried two. Beware, we came for dinner after an event and they had SOLD OUT of a few items. No worries but if you have your mind set on something, go early on an event day. Pies take a bit (so don’t be in a rush!), Bruno warns of this on the menu and it is true. This gives you time to enjoy the apps, drinks, and conversation. We will be back, and certainly recommend!
Let me start off with the good, the staff was very friendly and we received really quick service. The Blanca Pizza tasted good and the Caprese was good too. Now the reason we didn’t give a 5 star review kinda makes me feel bad because everyone was so nice but this place was super dark inside, like not mood lighting, I almost couldn’t see my drink. Also, I was expecting a bigger menu selection, more Italian options. I think I fell into the hype from other local reviewers and expected to be wowed. Good pizza though!
Two words: garlic knots! They're the best I've ever tasted in my life. Everything else is pretty good but a trip here isn't complete without the garlic knots. June 2023 update: Garlic knots are still the best ever. They were out of meatballs and cannolis. Pizza was good but not as good as I remember. They serve beer, wine, soda and had a really smooth and sweet slushie sangria. I don't normally like sweet drinks but this was an except. They don't serve tea. Dog friendly on their patio. The local feel there is nice. Definitely worth a visit especially for the garlic knots.
Looking for a non-chain pizza place? Check. Looking for the best garlic knots ever? CHECK ✅ Kitchen was nice to make a cheese-only pizza for a picky eater in our party. Came out exactly as requested. Regular pepperoni pizza was delish. Dough is so soft. Kale salad was also great, with the best Caesar dressing ever.
Pizza is really good, they have lots of different styles and toppings. We ate in but the tables are tiny and the chairs are really uncomfortable. The server seemed perturbed by us being there so if we came back it would just be for take out.
Overall pretty good food. Garlic knots are very good. Was a bit skeptical of them at first but after trying them I see why everyone raves about them. Also had the cauliflower appetizer (not pictured) and enjoyed it as well. Pizza was good, a little pricey but still worth it imo. Pizza size could be a bit bigger. The pies are on the smaller size. Would recommend if you’re looking to try a Neapolitan style pizza in Orlando.
As with any restaurant now, you need to go back a few times and different days. A restaurant is only as good as the cooks and that can change at anytime. This restaurant was referred from a friend and after trying it, it had some highs and lows. The octopus was very good I loved the celery salad I have never had that before and it was a pleasant surprise. We had 3- 12" pies and the selection was very nice lots of different combinations and flavors. We had a white pie and the toppings were a little skimpy for the price. We enjoyed all 3 but what we did not like was the crust it was very doughy and chewy, some people may like that but for me it was like under cooked bread. We asked to have the last pie cooked longer hoping it would change the texture but it did not only made it a little more chared but still doughy. I don't know if it was the recipe of the dough or the temp of the wood stone oven maybe too hot so it cooked to fast on the outside and not enough on the inside. Maybe that's what they are looking for. It's to bad because if the crust was better they would all have been a home run. The pies were a little pricey for 12" and the no cash thing always turns me off but I would go back to try some pasta and other dishes just to see how they come out. Nice staff very helpful.
Get the garlic rolls!!!!! My daughter and I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night in November of 2023 about 7pm. There were no tables available so we sat at the bar. Service was friendly and we were greeted quickly. We had the garlic rolls for an appetizer and they were pretty incredible! There are 4 rolls per serving and they're pretty large. We ordered the Crimson Ghost pizza and it was good, just a little smaller than I was expecting based on the price. All in all, a good experience and I would definitely recommend the garlic rolls. It's a little dark and cramped and only one bathroom was in service, so the overall experience left a little to be desired.
Marg pizza was good. Not great but good. The crust was way too thin. I wish there was a little more mozzarella on it. The lemon pepper wings were different. I don’t like soft skin on my wings. There was no crunch on the wings at all. I would never get them again. The garlic knots…. Woah so good. They’re the staple of the restaurant. A must!!! I didn’t take a picture of the tiramisu, but the tiramisu was very very delicious. It taste fresh.
I was greeted upon arrival, amazing staff ! I got a tomato pie , the sauce could be seasoned better , I loved the crust , it was very crunchy, but if it was a little fluffy I would’ve danced alil while I was eating it lol !
We drove here on a Sunday. For lunch because the pizza was highly recommended. This is a small, local neighborhood haunt. We ordered the garlic knots bc according to the waitress they were the best but we thought they were a little hard, too much butter and garlic. Kale salad was too too salty due to the cheese? The pizza was ok not the best ever. The peach cobbler cannoli was ok as was the expresso. Overall, if you live in the neighborhood I guess it is ok but definitely not worth a drive here.
Food was very mediocre. Bianca pizza was very chewy I ordered garlic wings and they gave us more oil then wings I also ordered fried oreos, and I didn’t think you could mess these up but they definitely weren’t good. Tasted like they have been sitting out for 45mins. If you make fried oreos they need to be served fresh. Overall a 6/10, wouldn’t recommend
Food was good but I’m surprised! Not in a good way. When ordering takeout online they force a 10% Gratuity. I didn’t see the fee and I gave a tip for service but because I didn’t know they already charged gratuity, I paid more. They are also passing on credit card fees to their guests. All of those things make me feel strongly that they would rather impose fees than create value in their business. Kinda shady huh?
This place is ok. It’s pricey and if you go, stick to the basics. Their specialty pizzas are usually a miss for me. They really play jazz with the ingredients and you’ll leave feeling unsatisfied. The garlic knots are great, but I know some people who hate all of the garlic that truly is slathered all over them, but I like it. The meatballs are great, but sometimes inconsistent. I think you get more for your money at Blaze Pizza and they are always consistent. As for service, it’s jus ok. I get it, it’s busy. They’re just trying to move people in and out, but when it’s slow, they tend to really take their time to get you what you need.
Food was ok however everything was incredibly slow, waited 15 minutes for garlic Knott's, over 30 minutes for our pizza. When the food came out it was good but not great and def not worth a 30+ minute wait, the place wasn't super busy but service was also lacking as we were offered no refills or anything. Sat with empty drinks for most of our meal. Ok meal, but not worth the time investment and money. Also insane that the first suggested tip is 30%
So inconsistent! Can have great pizza or lousy pizza - no rhyme or reason. I order every weekend and it’s a crap shoot! Randomly stops taking orders online and never answers the phone. What kind of service is this??
I've been wanting to try this pizza for a little while. Unfortunately, I don't think I would be coming back or recommending this place. I'm giving it a 3 star because the pizza and garlic knots had a good taste, even though the pizza was mostly burnt (even for a Neapolitan pizza). The reason why I wouldn't recommend anyone or come back is that we ordered takeout, and somehow, we got charged with a 10% gratuity. Not only is this excessive, but it is also ridiculous. We didn't eat there or get the pizza delivered, we walked in and picked it up. Gratuity is optional and shouldn't be enforced, especially not 10% for takeout.
Pizza Bruno has become an Orange County institution. Everyone has been there and seems to love the food. Whenever people discuss the "the best" pizzerias in the area, Bruno almost always comes into the conversation. At this point, i think they thrive solely due to their status, rather than their food. The high praise is undue, especially when there is so much better local pizza for better prices. I been there several times and to two locations. Bruno does not meet the hype. The pizza is OK at best. Nothing significant; nothing special; nothing to write home about. The pizza is too greasy and the crust is too crispy. I am not a huge fan of hot honey pizza, but I try it occasionally. The mix of grease, honey, and marinara made me physically ill for several hours afterwards. Their salad, however, is excellent! I enjoyed their kale salad to their pizza by a wide, wide margin. For service: rather than the server giving us glass or hard plastic cups, the she gave us refills from cheap, disposable plastic cups. She seemed to forget me and my girlfriend were there, despite it being a slow night with a near empty restaurant. The wait-staff was extremely laid back and nonchalant. Orlando is home to thousands of restaurants and as 80% of the local population are native new Yorkers, i promise that you will find better pizza at a better price. I strongly recommend checking out Black Magic, Dough Boyz, So Dough Square, Sebby's, or C-M Bakari - who makes delicious sourdough pies. Unless youre only looking for a good salad and an expensive beer, Pizza Bruno is just hype with little to show for itself. 2/5
I remembered going here around 2-3 years ago and the garlic knots were my favorite. However, I recently visited this place and it was not the same anymore. The garlic knots were good but not as amazing as how I remembered them. Our pizza was ok… nothing too special and burnt. The first bite you take you had the burnt taste. When you look on the bottom, it was all mostly black. It was a disappointing sight. Our server was friendly but not attentive. We ordered an extra item but it never came to us. We believed they forgot about us. It was overall a disappointing experience.
We ordered more than $250.00 in food to be delivered after the driver left we noticed part of our order was missing. We called the store no one would answer the phone the whole night. My brother n law went into the store to get a refund for our missing items and he was standing at the counter with workers around no one approached him for over 5 minutes, he had to ask to be helped. The manager did apologize for the missing items and gave a refund, his statement was we should have contacted them on instagram and they would answer because the store gets too busy to answer the phone. I find this to be extremely bad business practices and for having such a great product there service makes it a pass in the future.
Over-priced, under-portioned and poor service. I placed my order for a medium pizza at 6:00 pm and was told that it'd be half an hour. They asked my name and phone number so I assumed they'd call or message when my food was done. I waited in my car and when it hit 6:42 pm I start wondering why they haven't reached out to me yet and check in on my food is only to find that it was sitting in a warmer already done. Dunno why they bothered getting my number if they weren't gonna even try to reach me and tell me when it was done. When I got my pizza it was much smaller than I expected. I paid for a medium sized pizza and got a pie that would be considered a small in most other pizza shops. When I finally got home and got to try my food it was honestly pretty disappointing. I was hoping that the pizza would at least be really good but it was really meh pizza in the end on top of everything. If you want a pizza just go to the spot in Mariner Village, it's faster, cheaper, better portioned and just tastes better. I'm including pictures of the pie I got. That's a regular sized hefty paper plate for reference.
Just received my food and to start my pepperoni pie was not sliced at all. Second, these pies are so small for the price. Third, I paid more for the shredded cheese on my crust and barely got any. From the pictures I see the crust is completely covered in the cheese, but mine was definitely not. Very disappointed and will not be ordering from you guys again.
Had the worst experience at that so called restaurant today. My wife was really hungry so we asked if they had ready made pizzas to which the waitress replied negatively. She said it will take 25-30 minutes for the pizza but maybe it can go faster as there was only 2 tables at the time. So I agreed and paid for the pizza plus the tip which she selected without asking me. We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. 36 minutes later I asked the waitress about the pizza. She went to check, and I could tell that there was a problem. I asked if the pizza is ready, and I did not get a straight answer. At that time, I told them I wanted to cancel the order and get refunded. No body told me anything, and upon asking for someone to help, the manager came in a very rude tone and angry face telling me to sit down and wait. I immediately told him I am not going to sit down and wanted to get refunded and leave. He came back a moment later unapologetically giving me the refund slip without a single word of apology for what had happened. I don't know about this pizza joint, but they do lack manners and customer service. Horrible place and horrible experience. Never again and do not advise it at all.
I came to Bruno’s Pizza to pick up a very large Uber Eats order (12 pizzas plus another separate order). Not only did the manager/owner refuse to offer any assistance, but when another employee looked like they might help, he stopped them and set the boxes down for me to deal with alone. As a woman carrying such a heavy, awkward order, I was shocked at the lack of courtesy. Even a simple offer of help or a cart would have gone a long way. Most restaurants I pick up from are far more considerate. This experience showed a real lack of professionalism and basic decency.
While the food was fine- I placed an order at 5 to be scheduled for pickup at 6pm. When I got there they told me that they had to ‘throw the wings in” should take 8 min. While I waited patiently for the wings - they then went to give me final order and realized they have forgotten 4 of the pizzas. 6 were ordered. Which I had to WAIT AGAIN FOR 4 more pizzas. I left the restaurant at 6:40. I didn’t get offered anything like a dessert or any discount on the food. That was my first time going there and absolutely my last. While the food that was ready at 6 was cold while the rest was freshly made. Bad business for not trying to make it right especially when it was their error. It was a Monday night. My 10 friends and I will NOT be eating Pizza Bruno again— definitely will pick something else.
Ordered a medium sausage pizza and garlic knots, and somehow my bill came out to $52. I know they use a wood fired oven to get a good char on the pizza, but mine was completely inedible. The bottom was as charred as the night sky and the garlic knots were completely bland, also no marinara sauce, really? I am not sure if my bill was an error on their end or they were having an off night with the kitchen, but this was my first and last time coming.
Perhaps, a bad day . . . In the past, I've had some pretty amazing pizza from Pizza Bruno. While in the neighborhood, I took a friend there to share in what I noted were great past experiences. After seeing a busy restaurant in the past, perhaps I should have taken warning from an empty scene this visit. We both found the chopped salad to be overdressed, but fair. Then the pizzas arrived. I'm fully aware of the typical char on this style, but timing is crucial, and both our pizzas were borderline charcoal and inedible. The fine flavors of the toppings Bruno's bright, delightful sauce were completely masked by burned crust top and bottom, flaking away in my hands. The normally enjoyable slight chew of the crust was replaced by bitter, unpleasant ash ruining each bite. When addressing our server, she was incredibly hesitant to admit there may have been an issue, and informed us she was still training. Perhaps the cook was as well. Overall, very disappointing after leading my friend to believe this was one of Orlando's best pizza restaurants.
