Everything was perfect. Service is so above and beyond...absolutely refreshing. The chicken marsalla is my absolute favorite dish. You will not be disappointed.

Had pizza, drinks & dessert. Pizza had great spicy sauce. Limoncello cake was light and refreshing. Best Old Fashioned I've ever had, with Bulleit Small Batch.

A good test for the quality of a restaurant is how the people there handle a group, and none of the ladies in our group had any complaints. We were pleased with our luncheon event.

I’m always dining out at Italian restaurants and I have to say this is a new favorite. Heading back to Tampa from Orlando and decided to stop by for dinner. The lobster filled ravioli was delicious. I would have easily paid for the starter bread since it’s just that great!

The food was great! The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. Miles was very attentative and pleasant. Will definitely return! Lobster Ravioli and Lasagna with a bottle of Roscato

I went last night for Magical Dining and had such a great time! I was with my 2 year old daughter and she LOVED the spaghetti with a HUGE meatball! Emily was our server and she was the BEST! I will definitely be coming back and asking for her.

The gnocchi with the Alfredo sauce is AMAZING. It’s thick, cheesy goodness. The ravioli was also really good. I added chicken to both and it’s cut up into smaller pieces all mixed in. So yummy.

I must say, I was a little concerned about visiting this restaurant based on the critical reviews but the food was phenomenal. For an appetizer, we ordered the bruschetta which we were skeptical of because there is no balsamic on it but the flavors were perfectly balanced. The bread is rather thick so it’s a little awkward to eat but it was perfectly toasted and oiled so I definitely recommend. Their bread they serve looks strange but tasted amazing and it’s fresh and warm. For drinks, I ordered the blackberry mojito and my boyfriend ordered the old cubano. My drink was incredibly strong and tasted nothing like a mojito but it still tasted good and the blackberries were really fresh. My boyfriend enjoyed his cubano as well, he said it was a nice twist on a classic old fashioned. As for our entrees, I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my boyfriend ordered the lasagna. It was my first time eating carbonara but I loved it. It was so creamy and rich and the shrimp I added complemented the flavor of the pancetta wonderfully. My boyfriends lasagna had a tomato sauce that was so beautifully red and fresh. I like that the beef wasn’t Italian sausage and the noodles were cooked well. We finished with dessert and chose the chocolate cake. I don’t think it is homemade because our server only mentioned the tiramisu being made in house but nonetheless, it was one of the best chocolate cakes we’ve ever had. Very moist, served cold, and the mousse layers were creamy and tasted good. The only complaint we have is the service was a little slow at times. I think we over heard that our server has only been there for 2 weeks so maybe she is still getting the hang of things, which is acceptable. She was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, especially since there is no dessert menu and she had to have it all memorized!! We will definitely be back here to try more menu items and definitely the tiramisu!

I had a delicious magical dining diner! I chose the pan seared scallops in pancetta sauce appetizer, Risotto Alla pesatore for the main course and a canoli for dessert. Everything was so good! My favorite was the scallops, I could eat them as a main course. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. The whole experience was truly magical!

Great food and service at this location. They have another in Winter Park, also very good! We enjoyed arancini, then spaghetti and meatballs and parpadelle with vodka mushroom sauce. All was very good, we sat at the bar, and all the bartenders were checking in on us, great service. You should go, get some wine to go with dinner. Only thing that would make it better would be if they made their own pasta.

J

Too loud inside, but our server Joriath made us feel so welcome and honestly like VIP. Outside seating would be better due to acoustics. Food was good. Service excellent. Eggplant dishes should come with side of pasta.

I came here for dinner one night after the fine readers of Orlando Weekly voted this place as one of the best restaurants in College Park. Since I live in Oviedo, I don't get over to College Park as much as I would like to, so they would surely know better than I would. I decided to take their advice and come see what this place was all about. I made my reservations, found nearby parallel parking, and walked up to this beautiful brick building-esque restaurant that looked like I was walking into an Italian winery of some sort. It's really a stunning visual. Very impressive. We got seated and starting looking at the intimidating menu. We started off with a couple of apps, including the Insalata di Cesare (Romaine, Anchovies, Croutons, and Parmesan Cheese Tossed with Ceasar Dressing). A small salad with a fun salt-bomb anchovie on top. Well-dressed, and a good amount of cheese and croutons. No complaints. Margherita Pizza (Fresh Mozzarella, Plum Tomato Sauce and Basil). The classic pie. The tomato sauce was very fragrant. You can tell it did not come from a can. The mozz was ooey and gooey and gave a good stretch. Could have used more basil, for sure. But the crust was excellent. Held up to the toppings, not too thick, had some bite and some good chew to it. Really good. Then the mains. I got the Vitello Saltimbocca (Tender Veal Scallopini, Topped with san Daniele Prosciutto Crudo, and Fresh Sage, Finished in a White Wine Butter Sauce, served with Parmesan Mashed Potatoes). Veal, cooked perfectly, very tender. A nice umani, salty prosciutto on top to add some depth. The mash was a little much, a huge serving. But overall, quite nice, not something you eat every day. I also got to try the indulgent Ravioli di Aragosta al Frutti di Mare (Lobster Ravioli with Baby Shrimp, Mussels and Calamari Finished in a White Wine Lemon Butter Sauce). Oooh so good. Seafood everywhere, and plenty of it. The butter sauce was nice, and there were mushrooms all through, which always helps. This was clearly the winning dish of the night. Overall, I really enjoyed the ambiance, the service, and the food here. I have no real critiques, and I would recommend this place as a nice date night restaurant to anyone reading this.

It was a beautiful Florida day so we ate outside. The food was heavenly, the drinks were pricey but they were also beyond words. The tiramisu was the first in Florida that I would say is very close to the real (tiramisu that my grandmother made). The service was amazing. All together put out the perfect birthday meal!💚

My girlfriend and I have come here a couple of times, and enjoyed it every time. I think some of the reviews here are somewhat nitpicks, as both the service and food was very good both times we went.

I have come here weekly for about three years (since before the recent name change). It is always extremely good and very consistent. The servers are great and very attentive- I always get treated really well here. My grandpa who has dietary restrictions is always accommodated. The happy hour drinks and bites are good and priced well. Personally I LOVE the pizza (Bianca is my favorite). The pasta is all very good- also the fish and chicken. It can be a little loud on busy nights so be aware of that. There is parking in the garage behind the restaurant for free and the street. I recommend this place to anyone in the area - it’s really a great place for dinner with the family or a date night.

Went here for the first time with a friend that lives in the area. I had the Insalata Di Pollo. There was ample chicken breast and it was very favorable and moist. It was however lacking with just two anchovies! Im usually not a fan of croutons as they are typically over hard. These were not and they were extremely tasty. The salad was finished off with ample amounts of shaved parmesean and a caesar dressing. My friend ordered from the special "Magical Dining" menu. A photo of the choices is posted. Basically its a 3 course meal for $40. There are a number of Orlando restaurants that participate in it woth a portion of sales going to a charity. Some restaurants do charge $60. You can see restaurants and costs on Magical Dining website. He started with the calamari which were not your typical rings but small octopus. Ad such the pieces were hit or miss with MANY being overly chewy. For his entree he ordered the Salmone Sofia. He said the salmon was excellent. For desert he ordered the tiramsu which was to die for! Although the food choices we had were good for the most part there were a few issues. I was also disappointed as they do not have a pasta with a meat sauce on the lunch menu.

The service and the food is amazing. Our party had the clams, ravioli, chicken marsala, and I had chicken cacciatore. The portions are a good. Our server couldn’t be nicer or more attentive. I live in Lakeland but when I visit my daughter we have dined here several times, highly recommend.

From the great service to the nice outdoors area, the place was a nice all around visit! The food is excellent and well priced. Flavors were in abundance and food came out quickly. Good drink and wine selection. We stopped in randomly and were accommodated. Good all around atmosphere.

We enjoyed our dinner at Armando's. We went on a Friday night without a reservation and were seated immediately. The food was excellent. We got fried calamari as an appetizer, chicken parmesan, and the carne pizza with multiple meats. They are 13" in diameter so big enough for 1 person for dinner. Parking can be challenging; we like to park behind the Jeremiah's down the block. I would definitely return here!

Love this place, we’ve come here countless times over the 7 years they’ve been open here. There’s a great out door dining area that wraps around the corner of the building, so you can generally find shade & it’s dog friendly. The menu is extensive and everything I’ve ever had is fantastic. I usually go for the clams & linguine or the chili corn park over spaghetti or a margarita pizza. The salads are really good too.

Raquel Farrell-Kirk

The ossobuco was amazing. Fall off the bone tender, with delicious sauce and scrumptious gnocchi. Based on the rest of my party- carbonara also got great reviews, as did the pollo babo and the pizza bianci. I had limoncello cake and think it was delicious.

Came in for a late lunch with my sister to treat my mom, and we loved it! We ordered some appetizers to share instead of entrees, sat outside, got a glass of wine and had a great time. Our favorites were the salmon carpaccio, the potato croquettes with mozzarella and the french fries with truffle and Parmesan cheese. Service was excellent. We parked right in front of the restaurant. We will be back.

This is my new favorite Italian place 😍! This is the best (and most beautiful) calzone I have ever had!!! The marinara sauce was perfect. Their crust was amazing!! The pizza was also delicious. I highly recommend stopping in if you have the chance!!! Wonderful bread/flat bread service. 10/10 will definitely come again 😁

HAPPY HOUR ….. $5 wine and it’s not that bad. Also, their free bread is AMAZING!! I absolutely loved the stuffed eggplant and definitely recommend if you are looking for a lower carb option. Their house made ricotta was very tasty. We also got Chicken Parmigiana but to me it tastes the same everywhere I eat it so I would forgo that and try something different next time. Heather was an excellent waitress. Very friendly and helpful. We didn’t make a reservation but fortunately we came early enough on a Friday night they could squeeze us in. Be sure to make a reservation if you have your heart set on this place though. It got busy quickly after 5:00.

We have been loyal customers of the College Park location and most of time we have had a good meals and great service. Joriath is always super nice, friendly, attentive and makes our meal so much more enjoyable. He checks on us and is always making sure we have what we need. Thank you Joriath! Today food was good, the hostess was ok, and our server as always great. My sister's Insalata de Pollo was not as fresh as we are used to and the chicken somewhat dry, but still ok. If you want a fresh salad, skip having it here and instead go for one of their other entrees. It will be much better and worth the price. We had Pollo al Marsala, Salmone Sorrentino and the Insalata di Pollo. Their Italian Spritz and Peach Bellini Royal are good. Couldn't take a picture of our drinks but they are good. Food was made to order, fresh, tasty, quality ingredients and portions were good. It is a good option for brunch or lunch during the weekend to get your Italian fix.

Everything was great.... except for the pasta, sadly. The concensus amongst the ones who ordered pasta (multiple kinds)... was that it lacked in flavor. This is just hard for me to believe at an Italian restaurant. Hopefully it was just an off night. The delicious Crème brûlée sort of made up for it. I do love Crème brûlée!!

My son and I stopped by Vesuvio for lunch and had a really pleasant experience. We kept it simple—pizza for him and a Caesar salad for me—and everything was fresh and enjoyable. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and our server was very kind and attentive. We came during lunchtime, so it wasn’t very busy, which made for a relaxed visit. I gave 4 stars mainly because we only tried a simple meal, but next time we’re in the area, we’d love to come back for dinner and try some of their main dishes.

Went on a Friday 6 pm (with reservations) and the restaurant was mostly empty. Yet, the hostess wanted to sit our party of 4 at the furthest table in the back (we were well dressed seniors). When we asked to sit a little closer to the front (there were at least 10 empty tables) she said those tables had been “requested” and only moved us 1 table over. Our server, Matthew was courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. We had a Caesar salad, and for entrees the salmon, chicken cacciatore, chicken saltimbocca, and tortellini. All were tasty with generous portions. We had wine by the glass (Super Tuscan - good). When we finished, out of curiosity, we asked the patrons at a table closer to the front if they had requested that table. They said “no”. When we mentioned this to the hostess, while pointing to tables that were still empty, she became defensive. I suspect they have a system that assigns tables as reservations are made, and haven’t figured-out how to adjust based on patron requests. Vesuvio is basically still Armando’s food-wise. It appears that it wants to distinguish itself from Armando’s Winter Park. The food is above average and represents good value for its prices. But the hostess’ attitude made a bad impression and I doubt we will return.

Sure, here's a review for Armando’s Italian Restaurant: --- I recently visited Armando’s Italian Restaurant with a friend who was visiting from Houston, and our experience was fantastic. From the moment we walked in, our server made us feel incredibly welcome and provided attentive service throughout our meal. We started with the calamari, which were cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The bread served was absolutely to die for; we couldn't get enough of it! In fact, we enjoyed our meal so much that we returned the next day to try their pizza and salad, both of which were excellent. The only downside was the drinks, which we found a bit lacking. There's definitely room for improvement in that area. However, the overall experience, especially the food, more than made up for it. Armando’s is definitely worth visiting, and we’ll be back for sure!

Armandos has been our favorite restaurant to go right by the house at least twice a month. The food always has been wonderful and service a bit slow but very friendly. Unfortunately I found out last night the menu has changed and they no longer have the seafood risotto. I ordered the seafood pasta with the server said was very similar but it wasn’t. I believe they also got rid of the fillet mignon. So unfortunately we won’t go back for a while. Sadly another great restaurants going downhill.

Went last night. Met with some friends to celebrate another friend we haven't seen in over 20 years. Of course the company was great. The service was great at first but then it waned. The salad was excellent. The pizza was okay. And that's only because I feel like I'm a fancy pizza expert lol. The only disappointing part for me was that I rarely get out these days and I had ordered a second drink which was a martini espresso which I'd never tried and was really looking forward to. The rest of my table got their second round and mine never came. My waitress also never came so I couldn't ask about it. By the time she came back around it was time to leave so I pointed out to her to make sure it wasn't on my bill. That was very disappointing.

Food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the bruschetta which was super yummy (needed a dash of salt), the mushroom ravioli and the parpadelle a la vodka were both homey, flavorful, creamy and pasta was perfection. However, We We’re first timers from out of town and arrived around 3:30pm. No reservation. The restaurant was pretty empty. Straight off the bat with an attitude, the host asked whether we had a reservation and when we said we didn’t he said it would’ve been recommended as they are very short staffed and over worked servers and it’s hard to serve the customer ( 😑, I get it. We’re in weird times but come on). Then he proceeded to walk around the entire restaurant complaining and very loudly saying “yes we all look miserable, if you don’t like it don’t visit during the holidays”. He also went outside and had a beer with outdoor guests. No matter how great the food was and how nice our actual server was, The bad impression left by the host guy was not necessary. Something to work on.

Atmosphere was beautiful but kind of dead. Food was good but not the best. The service was atrocious. The server never checked on us after giving us our food so we had to flag her down 3/4 in for drink refills. When she brought out the bill, she didn’t even bother giving us a pen to sign the bill and never returned to our table for us to ask for one.

No luck on that day. The last night of the year. My party decided to stop to eat before it was too late. Reservations were done for the night but it was 5 ish pm they say us outside table. Fine so far. The waiter was not experienced at all. Drinks were delicious a Mojito, food was going good until I found a little piece of plastic in my tortellini. Bizarre. The explanation was that in the process of unfrozing ??? What? My tortellini is not fresh? And besides they left a piece of packaging in my food? Bad luck that day.

Service was great. Calamari good. Everything else was less than a 2 star. Pasta water not salted, veal no seasoning, pizza no seasoning, looks great but the blandest Italian food I’ve had. Oh and the Caprese appetizer bland as well. Not a good tomato or mozzarella. Had to ask for salt and pepper. New to area so not sure if this is the norm or just an off night.

Margarita pizza was cold and had to have it reheated. Bruchetta tasted stale. Spent $131.00 and server was not very attentive. We will not be going back.

WTH?? SO many fan favorite items removed from the menu. Gone are lobster ravioli, seafood risotto- all risotto actually, no more filet. No more taste of Napoli. No mashed potatoes?? Really??? Chicken Marsala without mashed potatoes??? You have never been gluten free friendly but now you truly don’t offer anything a gf person can eat. There are plenty of pizza joints in college park. We have been regulars for many years. Sadly we will not be back. I foresee a gone out of business sign

Armando needs to hire more people and work on customer experience. He had some very personable employees in the prior concept and were much more attentive. Sitting at the bar or table and waiting 5 minutes for service, another 5 for your drink, and then 5 to order when the place is 2/3rds empty is unacceptable. The kitchen always performs strong and the flavors are fantastic, but it’s a hassle to come for dinner when you constantly feel like it’s work to order something. Appreciate the lower prices and smaller portions. It would also be nice if the Manager or Owner asked how everything went once in a while. Especially to those that frequent their establishment. Think about why people pay so much for Chic Fil A and Publix! Good product and great service!

I stopped in Saturday night to order a pizza to go. While I waited at the bar and enjoyed a glass of wine, the wait time for my food felt excessive. They were only four the people at the bar so there’s no reason why the bartender should not have been attentive . The pizza was finally brought out and handed to the bartender, I discovered upon opening the box that it was not nearly as warm as it should’ve been if it came right out of the oven. It was clear the pizza had been sitting and waiting for the bartender to notice it. I was disappointed that my order was neglected. As much as I enjoyed Armando‘s for many years. That service makes me want to never come back.

I was excited to try this place. Tried to go to the on in Hannibal square, but no one picked up to make reservations. So i saw they had another location in College Park and Lake mary. We arrived at 8:55 and asked to be seated outside. We were seated at the corner of edgewater Drive as outside seating goes around the corner. I judged it by the Hannibal square location, which was always packed on a Friday, and was surprised by the many open seats inside and out. Well, 15 minutes goes by, and no one comes to our table. However, we are seated next to a lady with a litter white dog, and the server for her a young girl looked at us several times but said nothing. Not one moment, someone will be with you, not have you been helped, not let me get someone for you and not can i get you something to drink while you're waiting. She was serving the two tables to our left, totaling 5 people and a dog. We got nothing. Next to those two tables was a table by the entrance. The server was a guy who was serving 5 people at that table, and two people were on the far left. Finally, after 25 minutes, i went inside and explained we've been seated for 25 min and no one had come to our table. During that time, a family of 5 had walked up and sat by the other table by the front door and was immediately addressed by the guy server, who i later found out was Ricky. The hostess apologized and said someone would be out immediately. Another 10 minutes went by, and another server walked by us to clear the tables around the corner. He was an older gentleman. Not one word. At this point, we were about to leave when finally Ricky passed the two tables in between us and asked if we wanted to order drinks. Customer service goes a long way with me. My wife was already upset at the young girl for not acknowledging us whatsoever. So Ricky said they were busy. I must've been blind because there were two tables pushed together by the entrance that was empty across from that at the curb was a table for 2. Down from that, 3 more tables for two were empty, and across from one of them was us at a table for 4. Compared to the Hannibal square location, I disagree with that assessment. When i looked around the corner, I saw empty tables. I ordered the lasagna, and my wife ordered the chicken on top of spaghetti. No one ever brought bread to the table, so i don't know if that is a thing at this establishment. We ordered a plate of meat and vegetables. I took one bite and didn't like it. But the little white dog was intrigued by it. Another 25 minutes later i food arrives. The lasagna was just ok. My wife's chicken to her was just ok. I will say this Ricky was a nice guy, but his shirt was filthy. Presentation goes a long way also. I appreciate him stepping up to serve us. He asked if we were taking the meat tray home. We said no, we didn't like it. He brought us the check. i didn’t even look at it but gave him my card so we could leave asap. I was pretty much done and disappointed at my first time experience at Armandos. I'm curious if the Hannibal square location is like this, but i assume not because they're always packed on Fridays when we ate nearly. I was just disappointed by the lack of service and acknowledgment by the staff at the college park location. I'll definitely not come back here for another date night.

Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. If you like being bossed around by rude locals. The staff will listen to your conversations over your shoulder. There’s way better places in Orlando to get Italian food.

Wish we could rate the food because we didn’t even get a drink order….. let alone a food order… We were greeted by the bartender who also introduced the manager who was “also helping out”, some water, and that was it.. While the bartender was running food and helping in the kitchen, the manager was more concerned about the lady guest we were sitting directly next to. While my husband and I sat there waiting for someone to come take our order, he was making sure she heard the specials (even one they don’t normally have) got a drink, and ordered her dinner….with modifications….and then walked away again for the third time without even looking at us without at last asking us for a drink order. Wish we could enjoy a martini and calamari like we have been for the past 6 years. Shame we will have to find a new spot for our favorite mini date night.

Let me start off by saying food here is still good since the change from Armando’s. The service and value has gone down hill significantly though. Our experience the last time we went was awful. Got up charged $14 for asking for a simple change in pasta shape that had previously been done as a courtesy. Not asking for it to be free, but increasing the price from $16.95 to $31 (and not mentioning it ahead of time) is just bad customer service. Will not be back for some time.
