The only I like there is our pediatrician she’s a great doctor to my son I recommend dr de la cerda her nurse is also very nice

Ms Lidia, took all my information, even though I was sent with vague information from another doctor's office in another town. Her supervisor, was accommodating and assisted us. Dr Olaya, met with us after his work hours and his staff was very professional and friendly. Thank you to everyone who work here. Everyone worked in sync and worked above par.
If you reschedule an appointment (please think and be SMART and realize that others have appointments not just you, so if you reschedule of COURSE it's going to be MOST LIKELY not in the same month or week you originally had the appointment.) Also if you want to see the same doctor to build a relationship with, be sure to ask when making an appointment for which doctor ... or ask them to set a primary doctor for your child. It's not hard. It's not rocket science. People review this place without thinking about the factors and how they themselves messed up their own experience.
I see the other reviews and wonder why I am so special! I have been here to see PA Kylie 3 times (she is AWESOME) and twice for lab work. The first time visit paper work is only like 3 pages. I was at another docotor last week and she had like 12 sheets of paper they insisted that I fill out! I have never waited more than 10 minutes. I think this place is awesome. I hope I did not just jinx myself! lol
Super fast and friendly service. The front office did a quick check in, the medical assistant was friendly saw em immediately after check in, the doctor saw me within 15 minutes and gave me a steroid shot for allergies. I was in and out in under an hour.
I hadn't been to the hospital in about 7 years. I went there to visit a friend,so whenever I asked the front desk for directions they were kind enough to actually walk me to his room. This curtesy was greatly appreciated.

I had a good experience with Nurse Hoenig. Due to the amount to patients, it is hard to get a response back over the phone but overall good. We like Dr. Olya for our children too

Good clean place for doctor visits. Space and social distancing continues throughout the clinic. Waiting room wait time was overwhelming. No water fountain access or restrooms available the day I was there.

The wait time with appointment is over an hour. The doctors never reply to other professionals, or the patients through portal.
The clinic employees are very professional. What I want to complaint is about Dr. Oviedo. He always tell my kids they have a respiratory virus that is going on. I took my son to Cd. ACUÑA and he has bronquitis and Dr. Oviedo has 3 weeks just prescribing my son Ibuprofen for pain and fever. In my opinion, he needs to update. The waiting time is ridiculously long.
They are seriously under staffed. I booked an appointment for my children's physical and they were a month out after school started. Then, the physician put in a consult and I was not advised of an appointment arrangement. The appointment time was set without my knowledge or consideration of my schedule and clearly my child can't just take herself. When I tried to call to reschedule, there was no answer. The appointment was set for three days from my notice.

Son super desorganizados! No saben comunicarse entre ellos mismos, una persona te dice una cosas y a los cuantos minutos otra person te dice lo contrario! Aparte haces cita para una hora y se tardan mas de una hora en atenderte! Siendo haci entonces paraque hacen citas si no van a seguir los horarios!
Estoy muy molesta con esa clínica el lunes 6 de Julio 2020 fui a una cita de embarazo, me dijeron que me mandarían mi receta de vitaminas y ácido fólico por heb de eagle pass, ya que yo vivo ahí, dijeron que llegaría rápido, fui a la 1 de la tarde del mismo día y que no estaba, fui a las 3 y que no estaba, marque a la clínica y dijeron que aún no la hacían, fui el martes 7 a heb y nada volví a marcar y que ya pronto la harían, volví a heb a las 3 y nada, hoy miercoles vuelvo a ir a heb y nada, y marco y marco a la clínica y no contestan .... si van a ser tan estupidos e incompetente, pues mejor den la receta en el momento
Been to this place with no promise of any diagnoses they don't have any of there information put together. I've been told I didn't have a ear infection and went to a ent in town and found out I did afterall.. being told the pains I'm having is all in my head. This location doesn't answer phone either to cancel or make appointments.
The staff and doctor Dennis are nice. However doctor Freitas, was extremely rude! Patients don’t need an attitude when getting care. There is nothing professional about Freitas. Avoid this doctor.
Clínica and hospital need to improve their appointment and wait times. Scheduled for 11am hey here at the time directed only to wait over an hour and half for the pedi to come in. Ridiculous
This doctors office whatever you wanna call it is not good they treat you bad, and you can be there all day long I went it at 10:20ish and didn’t leave until 1:30ish 1/10 Don’t recommend

The hospital phone line was a nightmare. Press key 1 or 2 for your speaking language and then press key 0 to speak to someone. Also, the hospital could not tell me if the clinic offered stitches or only the Emergency Room. Last hope trying to ring the emergency room. Please go see the prompt care team at STAT Specialty Hospital.
Went for a laceration. Thing had closed and sealed itself by the time we were seen. "Emergency"? Not even "Urgent." If you aren't the only one in the waiting room you're better off leaving and going down the road.
Realy bad customer service in the appoitments area . I believe the employee is name lidia she did not even give me a chance to speak and when i told her so. She literaly made it seem as if she had hung up the phone i didnt even kno if she was on line or not.
Getting an appointment is a part time job. When you call for an appointment and press option 2, someone answers and then transfers you. Again, someone answers and you get transferred again. Then you get a recording to leave a messages then nobody ever returns you call.!!!!!!
Took my son for a sports physical, after 2+ hour wait time they tell me the Dr left and we'll have to reschedule appointment.

Stay away from this clinic. They are so unconsiderate. You will die of pain before you are seen.

If you are a retired disabled veteran dont bother going here. Treated rude and made me do my own consultations and billing. Thry wanted ME to call and get it all aproved and stuff faxed. Like what? That is clearly what a billing departments job is for. I take my daughter there for her pediatrician as well and will be taking my business somewhere else from now. My 7 other family members will not be going here anymore as well.
Worst place ever. I have been coming here for 3 years and every time I come I spend at least 2 hours waiting. Waiting waiting waiting. It's so ridiculous. I wasted a lot of time waiting and ended up fussing all day. They do not respect time and the patient's time. My kids are bored and very tired and cry because they are waiting. This is something that needs to be fixed immediately at the rural clinic. I have never been to any medical facility in the US that wastes my time like this please. Hopefully they will change it.
Never go here if you are a lady searching for a compassionate and considerate doctor who will listen to your problems! Dr.Chartran was so rude during my appointment and didn’t even bother to listen to the problems I was struggling with. It made me feel invalidated and unheard. I would not wish that feeling on my worst enemy.

Today reach the maximum wait on going to a check up with my baby for her 6m check up came at 9am i left at 2pm. DONT COME HERE unless u don’t mind the wait. I mean I understand with being packed and a lot of people here and there blah blah blah but i mean if this facility cant handle a lot of people then maybe they should do something about it like maybe not have a lot of people all together coming for their appointments ? Maybe be open for more hours? Maybe say NO WE ARE BOOK to patients? ITS COMEN SENSE. I guess some places never going to change. And this facility makes it very clear they can’t handle a lot of people and are very rude could never help you with anything
I had a nightmare of an experience at the Val Verde Regional Medical Center Walk-In Clinic while visiting Del Rio from out of state. I presented to the clinic as an urgent care patient with no insurance and was seen by Dr. Eleni Solos-Kountouris. The wait wasn't as bad as I expected despite the crazy line to be seen here. But the doctor ran an insane number of tests for a simple issue, including tests that were unrelated to my condition. This resulted in numerous high lab bills for irrelevant tests that I was not aware were being taken of or that I gave consent to. I called the nurses and billing department here 5-6 times to resolve this and every staff member dodges you, passes you on to someone else, makes false promises, and never returns your calls. Not only has no one at the clinic has ever responded to my written complaint and request to have lab bills waived for irrelevant testing, but also no one at the clinic has ever been willing to provide me with the test results from these tests. To this day, I do not know if those tests taken were positive or negative. Worse yet, a full 6+ months after my date of service, the clinic sends me an out-of-the-blue bill wanting more money for the visit even though I paid the full and final $150 urgent care, no-insurance up-front fee at the time of my visit. I highly discourage you from going to this facility unless you want to get scammed and treated very poorly.

I was told by the nurse practitioner at Dr. Hernandez’s office that I was in need of a biopsy, and had multiple issues found after an examination that did not include imaging. I was also told by the nurse that imaging was not a good option. Imaging would have been the logical next step. I immediately called my obgyn in Austin to set an appt. I verbally told her what I was told in conversation with the nurse over the phone because nothing she had told me was included in the clinical notes. I had nothing to show my obgyn in Austin. After seeing my doctor in Austin, having an examination and imaging done, it was found that nothing I was told by the nurse practitioner was found. I was healthy and there was absolutely no need for a biopsy that she was pushing. I don’t know if this was a case of simple incompetence or trying to milk my insurance company. Beware of this office, perhaps try other obgyn offices first or proceed with caution. Also, I am baffled as to why this nurse was pushing a biopsy and skipping ultrasounds. My obgyn in Austin was completely puzzled. My medical records don’t even have clinical notes regarding why she thought I should have a biopsy or any of her “findings”. Speculation is not legally regarded as a clinical note entry. If a medical professional cannot include anything they are verbally telling you, in your clinical notes, especially if it is alarming and urgent, regarding a diagnosis, please seek out a second opinion. This nurse practitioner never returned calls when I left a message asking her to please explain. The needless anxiety and panic caused over this verbal diagnosis from her regarding a need for a biopsy warrants a formal complaint to the state board. Don’t forget you can always do this as well.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. My kids have never seen the same pediatrician theres always new ones. There is no doctor patient relationship. If your kids are sick might as well take them to the ER because there is no way they will see their pediatrician here. If you try to reschedule an appointment they schedule it 3 months out (which is ridiculous). This place does not care about patients or keeping them. All it cares about is how many appointments they can get and how much money they can make.
If I could rate this clinic zero stars, I would. I do not recommend Val Verde Health Clinic if you are pregnant. When the nurse P.A. walked in wearing Birkenstocks and no bra I was appalled. Not to mention she walked by me eating a slice of cake and was 35 min late for my appointment. The technology is old and they do not have a full time ultrasound tech on staff, so you will have to go to the hospital if you are having issues before 4:00. Unfortunately, our OB options are slim pickings in Del Rio and I would highly recommend taking the time to drive to San Antonio for your OB needs. This clinic is full of sick people and serves as the local "Walk-in-Clinic", which in my opinion should not coincide with pregnant women. If you want professional medical advice you will want to seek it elsewhere.

Only reason they get away with it is because of the lack of resources in this tiny community. The lack of professionalism, knowledge, and education from the staff and nurses is extremely apparent. If you receive a referral or relay any important information with an important deadline write down names because that's the only way you'll be able to hold them accountable. The staff and some of the nurses at this place have poor listening and communication skills. Once you do finally get in to see a doctor AFTER waiting like 2 hours, expect to wait another 30 minutes before and after being seen while you listen to the staff gossip away instead of being diligent with intake and release. Sucks options are limited!
I love our Doctor but we waited 45 mins after checking in at 8am for an appointment....before my husband went up to the desk to see if they were running behind before they told us there was no doctors or nurses in on the peds side so we would have to reschedule. 45 mins waiting for nothing....plus another day off work.
