Very good truffle beef fried rice. That was a long time. This time I received an ad on my mail and decided to try the honey prawns and beef fried rice and apparently they have changed the menu and it is much better than before. Also they gave us free egg rolls.
Very quiet place. I came here alone to try this place out. There was just one lady guest who just finished her lunch and me. Place was very clean. A respectful young man, probably the son of the owner, came to and took my order. I got the Truffle Beef Mushroom Fried Rice and the Salt and Pepper Pork Chop. It was good for my taste. Just a note, if you’re not a salty taste person, don’t get the salt and pepper pork chop. Me, I like it salty, so it’s good for me. People come and go to get their online orders. A family of three came in and not long after, a couple came in to eat too. Overall, I like the place because of its atmosphere, food, service and especially its cleanliness.
I arrived mid-transit on a road trip and was pleasantly impressed. The food and atmosphere were welcome and warm. It was fairly quiet on a Thursday afternoon, so if you're an introvert like me, you'll enjoy that. The service was excellent and quick. Give the truffle fried rice a try. Parking is a bit limited, so be prepared to walk a bit or park nearby.
First time trying this place actually not bad 5 star review customer service is top notch definitely come back
Excellent food Great service too! Thank you!
This spot is so so good. The staff are friendly and really chill. If you are looking for the best Chinese cuisine for an affordable price, look no further! The owner Daniel is a grade A guy who knows how to treat customers right.
The chicken wings are an absolute must order item perfectly crispy batter on the outside and incredibly juicy inside. The truffle fried rice, one of their signature dishes, smells amazing and tastes truly authentic. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh and well balanced. It’s a small, cozy spot that definitely makes you want to come back. Also a great option for party orders.
Great Chinese food! I love getting food here. My usuals are the combo fried rice, sweet and sour pork and the walnut prawns. Tried the Singapore noodles for the first time and it was delicious.
It's our first time eating here even though we've known about this restaurant for a while. Parking is a little challenging, especially during busy hours, but if you're willing to walk a little, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to park down the road. The 2 gentlemen that were working tonight were very friendly. The place was also clean. We ordered the large hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, crispy fried calamari, shrimp fried rice, orange chicken, deluxe mixed vegetables, and oriental chicken salad. Everything totaled to $106, including tax. We absolutely loved the hot and sour soup and the calamari. We will definitely come back here. I also can't wait to tell people I know to try this restaurant.
Tasty flavors, quick and friendly service! There is a decent selection of Vegetarian options. Overall great experience the only downside was parking is quite limited so be ready to walk a bit if it's busy. Ended up trying the Kung Pao Tofu which was saucy and savory, Bangkok Basil Tofu that was crisp to perfection, and the Garlic Noodles that were tossed in garlic and butter for a rich flavor. We absolutely will be stopping by again in the future.
Rice and noodles were great. Maybe the noodles could be could a little more wet. Salt and pepper chicken was ok. Prawn dumplings were good. Price was decent for all of it. Inside looked clean. Will definitely order food from here again.
A little hole in the wall, most of the workers/chef seem to be young! But don’t let that deter you, the food here is LEGIT. Also, the portions are HUGE for the price, you need to try this at least once and see for yourself!!
The best fried rice place I’ve tried so far! You have to try their Beef Truffle Rice and Honey Prawns—so flavorful and fresh when served! Plus, the staff is incredibly nice and accommodating. 😍 I will definitely eat there again! 🥹🥰

Not only they have yummy good food, their service is also excellent. The people who works here are very friendly. My favorites are the Bangkok beef, salt and pepper prawn, and their chowmein..

I moved in the area and was looking for a good local Chinese restaurant close by for take out and gave them a try. Food was all very delicious and hot by the time we made it home. The salt and pepper pork chops were my favorite. Also the sweet and sour pork, beef chow fun, string beans and hot and sour soup was very tasty! I’ll definitely come back and found my new go to local spot

5 stars based on what it is, a local neighborhood restaurant. I mean compared to a Michelin 5 stars it isn't. But. The food is great and generous, the service aims to please, and they accommodate special requests for dishes. The atmosphere is decent, clean, and friendly. I have taken to and recommended this restaurant to family and friends.
Love this place from the soups to the dishes this place has great tasting food. Plus the homemade chili oil is in my opinion the perfect addition to food served there or if purchased on foods at home
My first time ordering door dash for this restaurant and it did not disappoint!! I ordered 6 dishes total and it was only a little over $100 subtotal, wow, can't get this amount of food anywhere else in the bay area!! All the dishes came piping hot (thanks to the door dash driver) and each container was filled to the brim! I felt like this $100 was well spent, I'm so glad I found this little gem. You guys just earned another loyal returning customers :) please stay in business so I don't have to cook as much!
I have gotten delivery and take-out from Soul Rice a few times when I have friends over. The dishes are very good considering the prices. Our favorite is definitely the Truffle Beef Mushroom Fried Rice. The Chow Fun is also good. We like how the meat is cut to just the right size and has a tender texture. The Honey Walnut Prawns w/Pumpkin is too sweet for us, but the prawns are nice and big. The vegetable dishes could use a little more work. While we love the taste and cut of the eggplants in the Basil Garlic Eggplant, we don't appreciate the thick basil stems in it. The stems totally ruined the dish. A big thumbs up for the restaurant using fresh ingredients in their cooking. I might choose to dine in one of these days, and try more dishes.

First time at Soul Rice after hearing about it for a while, and I get why it’s a local favorite. We showed up right at opening and got seated immediately. The staff was genuinely friendly, and the place has that cozy hole-in-the-wall vibe: bright, super clean, and you can hear the kitchen working in the background. It’s not overly loud, just a nice touch that makes it feel warm and homey. It was also clear this spot has regulars. A steady stream of people came in who knew the owners, and the owners knew them right back. I only wish it was closer to where I live so I could become a regular too. We ordered the War Won Ton Soup (large) and it was my personal favorite. Perfect won tons in a delicious light broth with chicken and tender vegetables, exactly what you want on a cold Salt City afternoon. I’m so glad I got the large size. We also tried the fried egg rolls. They were golden brown and came with sweet and sour sauce. These were just okay for me because I wanted a little more filling, but I’ll give them bonus points for being not greasy at all. The salt and pepper chicken wings were another standout. Super crispy and crunchy with great flavor, served on a bed of fried garlic, onions, and jalapeños. They were also nicely fried without feeling oily. Next time I’m getting the Korean style because I bet it’s also great. We got the BBQ pork fried rice too and it was really well done, with a good balance of rice and all the other ingredients like char siu, egg, and edamame. The truffle and beef version looked incredible, but we figured it might be too rich for lunch. Definitely trying that next time. To round it out, we ordered the deluxe mixed vegetables and they were super fresh and crisp, cooked nicely in a light sauce. The mix had broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, zucchini, bok choy, celery, and daikon. Nothing was overcooked, everything still had a great crunch in a good al dente way. Service was attentive but not overbearing, and the owner checked in with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Great value too, with most dishes around $10 to $20. We’ll absolutely be back.
I was craving some Chinese food and came across this place on google. I decided to give them a try since they have a 4.8 rating. This was my first time at this place and was hoping it'd be a new go to place, but I'm not sure sure I'd come back. I placed an online order and when I got home I discovered their portion sizes are so small. I ordered scallion pancakes, sesame chicken chicken chow mein and it came out to $45. Don't get me wrong, the sesame chicken and chow mein both tasted great but the scallion pancakes were literally burnt to a crispy. They were hard and tasted bitter (see picture).

Everything seems clean, the service was excellent the host was really nice, the food however sucked not authentic whatsoever, super expensive for the small portions. They messed up on my order but didn't realize until I got home since I did takeout...Won't be going back😞😞
Hot and sour soup? The chef on my visit had no clue. Absolute rip (and I’ve had decent soup here). Not a beginner’s recipe- so I left.. It’s simple, if you can’t cook this, say so- IT’S Stealing. Never returning.
Food is so bland with no taste, nasty and very small portion size and smelly. Waste of money and completely unsatisfied. Worse than cafeteria food. Don't waste coming here. Not even considered food. Just straight to trash can.
