Desde el recibimiento en la puerta del restaurante sientes que has elegido muy bien. Pedimos el lingote de foie, que es de otro mundo, para empezar. El solomillo de ternera, indescriptible. El rodaballo, perfecto. De postre, una torrija con helado de yogur y toffe, estupendo, con el punto exacto de dulce. El servicio eficiente, correcto, agradable. Maravilloso restaurante al lado de la plaza Mayor de Salamanca. Tercera generación de restauradores. Todos los platos buenísimos, destacar los canelones de carrillera, las albóndigas con foie y trufa y el rabo de toro. Y lo cerramos con una torrija de brioche caramelizada con helado de yogur búlgaro espectacular. El servicio impecable: atento, amable y nos recomendaron perfectamente. Una garantía de éxito en Salamanca.

Excelente restaurane, situado a unos metros de la plaza mayor, necesitas reserva sino es prácticamente imposible conseguir una mesa. Hemos pedido primero un plato de jamón del cuál no tengo foto, porque cuando nos dimos cuenta ya casi había desaparecido de lo bueno que estaba De segundo una presa ibérica a la brasa y unas alcachofas braseadas sensacionales De postre un flan, de los mejores que he comido Todo el personal atento y agradable, pero hago especial mención a Adrían por su amabilidad y educación. Llegamos a este restaurante por casualidad mirando en maps de Google y fue todo un acierto. El restaurante está muy bien ubicado, justo al lado de la plaza mayor sin que esto sea sinónimo de "establecimiento orientado al turismo, de hecho, nada más lejos de la realidad. Muy bonito, la decoración y el ambiente hacen que sea un sitio muy acogedor. La atención del personal fue excelente y la comida estaba deliciosa, bien presentada y proporcionada. Pedimos unas manitas de cerdo que es difícil describir lo bien preparadas y presentadas que estaban y cochinillo, también sin desperdicio. De aperitivo nos pusieron una purrusalda con virutas de jamón ibérico, también muy equilibrado y delicioso. Destacar que el pan lo sirven calentito, cosa que da cuenta de los detalles que marcan la diferencia. Sin duda un lugar 100% recomendado al que volveremos cuando estemos por Salamanca.

Un lugar muy bonito y se cena genial . Para repetir. Atienden genial. En concreto me quedé con la buena atención de un chico llamado Fran. El entrecot estaba delicioso y vengo de zona de chuletones de calidad buena y estaba muy bien trabajado y muy bueno aunque la foto no haga honor a la realidad . Me quedé con ganas de probar más cosas así que repetiremos en otra ocasión. Confieso que cuando entramos pensamos que nos iban a cobrar más dinero pero si sabes pedir y te dejas aconsejar para dos personas sobre unos 100€ (sin postre ya que no quedaba tarta de queso y como en muchos sitios sube el precio en el vino que tampoco pedimos)

Absolutely outstanding experience. The service was warm, professional, and perfectly timed. But the real star of the evening was the lechazo. Cooked to perfection, with impossibly tender meat and crisp, golden skin that showed true mastery in the kitchen. Every bite had that deep, traditional flavor you only get when a restaurant respects the product and knows exactly how to treat it. The rest of the dishes were excellent too, but the lechazo alone makes this place worth the trip. Elegant atmosphere, top-tier cooking, and a team that genuinely cares. A must-visit in Salamanca.

There were four of us dining at here a week ago. The evening was very important to us, though our waitress didn’t know that. Still, she is the reason I’m writing this review. From the very beginning, Carmen was the perfect companion for our evening. She gave us recommendations and advice — even when she didn’t have to. In the end, everyone had a delicious meal, and beyond that, we all felt so well taken care of and comfortable that we wished we could eat here every day. We want to thank you for an exceptionally wonderful and, as mentioned before, very special evening, and we hope that Carmen will be able to create this experience for many other guests as well. One of the best meals I had in Spain, and I had no shortage of great meals. Everything about this place is so enjoyable. The location. The interior. The fantastic service. The delicious food. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Reasonably priced. An excellent wine list as well. In a town with many fine restaurants, many of which have won Michelin accolades, it can be a difficult to choice to select a restaurant. But you will be hard-pressed to find a better option than this one. Highly recommended. Also recommended - making reservations (which can be done via their website)

Wonderful artichokes, lamb leg and pan con tomate in a bustling place close to Plaza Mayor. We also loved watching one of the staff perched up on a podium carving a jamon the whole evening - master at work! Outside tables had blankets which was a nice touch. We were driving from near Madrid to Porto on this day and we stopped in Salamanca for lunch. El Mesón is a Michelin recognised restaurant so we made a booking before leaving our resort at El Santo Reserve. We were delighted with our au fresco table, fab service and delicious food. I had a sashimi fusion dish with tuna that was amazing and popular. We shared a fried calamari and shrimp starter. We also had beef meatballs, fish and chips, and ribs. We were so full we could not touch the desserts. We want to revisit this cool town and come back to this popular restaurant.

Recommend by our Hotel and it did not disappoint! They made a reservation for us and would recommend you also make a reservation , we arrived at 7:30 pm when they open and the restaurant filled up fast . We started with the cheese plate and bread. We had the sirloin steak 250g and was excellent, very tender and full of flavor:) We added French fries since the steak comes without accompaniment. We ended with the creamy Cheesecake with strawberry ice cream:)

The wine and food were simply sublime (the grilled artichoke with Wagyu will be remembered for a long time!) and both the atmosphere and service were exemplary. We had a great evening at the restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere. You can sit outside and enjoy the vibrant nightlife very close to the Plaza Mayor. We choose to sit inside in the beautiful cellar with the old vaulted ceiling. We had a three course meal and shared a delicious Chardonnay. The service was relaxed and cosy. We highly recommend this place.

Our host recommended the restaurant. As it is not that flexible to choose restaurants during Christmas time, we had two diners here during our stay in Salamanca. The food is quite good. Beef tartare is impressive and we strongly recommend it. The other meat courses are also delicious with the good combination of roast taste and tenderness.

Restaurante en pleno centro de salamanca. Fuimos 4 amigos un sábado reservando con antelación, en terraza, estaba lleno. Tiene una carta escueta pero interesante. Pedimos todo para compartir: callos, pulpo, arroz con bogavante y un chuletón trinchado al centro. Los callos buenísimos, deben tener un premio o algo así, el chuletón nos decepcionó algo el sabor, mejorable. Todo acompañado con un ribera: cepa 21, bien. Buen trato y ágil en la comanda. Pagamos casi 70€/persona. Recomendable.

A solid 4 stars, nothing more. The food was good, but be warned if you are American the portions are small. Vegetables were consumed as gazpacho prior to dinner, served with bread that you should not eat. This is because there is a €3 each charge for bread that isn't otherwise announced and the bread itself is terrible. I ended up ordering an appetizer of steak tartar and a side of fries as dessert when I was still quite hungry after having the meatballs. The wine is quite affordable by American standards, and good, though pours are short. Bathrooms were clean. We made a reservation despite wide availability online and were lucky we did as others were turned away on a Monday evening.

El camarero, muy amable, nos sugirió fuera de carta, un plato "caliente de cuchara" guisantes lágrima con huevo poché, jamón y alcachofas. A great disappointment. I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of a dear friend of mine—a chef from Salamanca—who urged me to try their celebrated Galician beef chop, dry-aged for 40 days, weighing some 900 grams and served boneless. To accompany such a dish, we chose a fine bottle of Carmelo Rodero, expecting a meal of true distinction. Alas, the experience fell far short. Service was slow, and when the long-awaited chop finally arrived, it was served cold. Summoning a waiter proved a challenge in itself, and when at last I managed to request that the dish be warmed, the plate was whisked away without a word of apology or courtesy. Moments later, it returned—clearly reheated in a microwave, a grievous mishandling of what should have been the crown jewel of the menu. For a restaurant of this reputation, and for its most expensive dish, one would expect not only excellence in execution but also at least a sincere apology or an explanation. Instead, there was indifference. A regrettable experience, and a sad waste of what could have been a memorable meal.

Comparto mi experiencia en este local hará cosas de un mes. Teníamos mesa reservada para las 22:30, nos sentamos y nos empezaron a comandar y servir a las 23:00. Pedimos de primero croquetas, siguiendo por las manitas y terminando con un sashimi. Lo primero las croquetas venían 6 escasas , solo fuimos capaces de comer 5 entre los Dos y eso porque teníamos hambre sino las hubiéramos dejado todas. Al venir el camarero nos pregunta si nos ha gustado a lo que respondo que no, para nada y que por eso hemos dejado 1 de las 6 que habían puesto. Acto seguido y tras ver qué no me dice nada le pregunto si son caseras, a lo que me responde por supuesto que si aunque veas la masa perfecta.. en fin , le digo que aún así no me han gustado y me planta :"es la primera vez en 15 años que nos dicen algo así de las croquetas". Todo tacto el chaval. Por cierto añadir que por dentro estaban frías. De segundo las manitas, insípidas y escasas, tampoco nos gustó nada. Por último el sashimi que fue el único plato que cumplió mínimamente. Por cierto nos atendieron 3 personas diferentes en la cena. Como estábamos de viaje y no queríamos mal rollo no comentamos nada más pero fue algo totalmente nefasto para los precios y la calidad de la que presume el local. Pan para 2 6€, caña 4,50€ , y los platos pues ahí veréis los precios. Por supuesto cobraron todo, incluidas las croquetas. No nos quedaron ganas de volver. Fdo una pareja de gallegos.

Es la tercera vez q venimos, las dos primeras veces genial, muy buena calidad, cocina y servicio. Pero hoy nos ha decepcionado, el servicio bueno pero la calidad no es lo q era, muy masificado, muchas mesas para esa cocina. La ensaladilla de cangrejo real diría q es de compra y el steak tarta q lo recordábamos sublime lo mismo. No era lo q esperábamos, una decepción.
