Mis Cuates Taco Shop

Great place, just ate there for the first time and my carne asada burrito was among the best I've had. Well seasoned meat, fresh tasting ingredients and the staff is very friendly. You can definitely feel the pleasant, family owned atmosphere, will be back!

Go to taco shop! If you stop at Pala you must get a quick snack for the road. You will not be disappointed.

We stopped at Mis Cuates on the way to Palomar on the 4th. So good!!! I had chiles rellenos, so tastey...I have to avoid wheat flour, so was perfect for me since they use egg only. We were served on real plates with silverware, another plus. Ranchero sauce, amazing! Thank you Mis Cuates!

This is the best example of a tiny little taco shop. It is a little hole-in-the-wall kind of place that has amazing TJ style street tacos and I imagine everything else would be excellent as well. The staff was so friendly that the service reminds me of another time, when people actually cared about their clientele. If you're passing by and hungry at all, stop in for a taco or three, you won't be disappointed.

We were visiting the Pala Mission, and right next to the Pala casino we saw this taco shop. It looked very non-descript, but the food was amazing, really well prepared. We tried the chicken, pollo asado plate, chips, and also carne asada taco. It was really well prepared and flavorful, one of the best Mexican foods I've had outside of San Diego. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

This place was so delicious! We were in Pala briefly and my daughter and I stopped for food before our hour and half drive to the next stop, and were so glad we came across this restaurant. We got the chili verde #18 (I believe) and 3 carne asada tacos and an horchata! The woman working was great and quick service. The overall look of the area is a little rundown, but just step inside- it is quite nice!

Food is always amazing in this place. The girls working always have an amazing attitude and the the one that cooking always does an outstanding job. I feel her cooking is better than the males. But definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants some good traditional Mexican food.

Simply put.. the food is fantastic. Had the Enchiladas Suizas and a Ground Beef Taco and could have eaten more. Totally worth a visit.

Pretty good. The cashier was extremely nice and had great customer service. The cook seemed a little irritated. But the food was decent. I had the #20. In the photo the plate came with avocado but I never got any on mine 😔 the chicken was also not my favorite but it was ok. The food was hot!!!

The place was closed, looked abandoned like it hadn’t been opened in years. Don’t waste your time driving there. Turned around and went to Jilibertos just a couple of miles from there and it did not disappoint. Generous and tasty portions!

So I came here about a month ago and the service and food was actually pretty good. I stop here because it’s a way for me to avoid traffic and be able to eat something about half way home and calm down after a 12 hour shift in construction. This time as I was looking at the menu the same younger lady (brown eyes brown hair) who helped me last time gave me attitude and tried to rush me (I was the only person in the place btw)I could see her facial and body expressions in the corner of my eye as I was looking at the menu. I asked for 5 rolled tacos and asked if I could have the sour cream on the side. She said she can’t give me sour cream because there’s nothing to put it in either I can have it on or off. So I will not be coming here again, it’s a shame but respect goes a long way, and if you don’t give it you don’t get my money. Fix your attitude or get out of customer service. No wonder nobody else was in there.

Horrible place to go! I agree with the comments down below there is bad service here. I tried ordering but all I got was an attitude from a young lady at the register. She seems like she's mad at the world. I didn't even stay and finish the order. That's how unprofessional the service was. We will never go there again. The only good thing that came out of this is we went to the El Taco bar and the food and service was awesome!

It was not as expected to be like, opositéis that it should be at any restaurant. I was hungry and had to order. The food was hot and hard nothing really special. Hardly any of the vegetables. I will definitely not be coming back again. Coming from someone who worked in a restaurant for years as well. The women taking orders needs to be well trained or put in the back, if not then just be a little nicer, if candy just fake it. Looked like she didn’t want to be there or bored. At least a “Have a good day ma’am or thank you for stopping by.” 3 orders
