5 stars across the board! True hidden Gem serving tasty gourmet brunch with a southern slant. Flavors were rich, dishes were generous and everything tasted and felt extremely fresh. One bite of the biscuits and gravy and I knew right away the high quality of meal we were about to have. The service was equally spot on, our server was friendly and always checked on us to make sure everything was going well. There’s a mom and pop vibe to the place and a shared entrance in the back leads to the farmhouse boutique shop next door. Really appreciate these folks out here serving great food for their community. We will be back for sure! Regards from Jacksonville!
Wow! There are just so many great things to say about this place. From the moment we entered, I noticed the quaint decor and cleanliness of the Magnolia Cafe. The menu items were a little pricey for a small town like Palatka, but I promise you won't be disappointed. The portions are large, and the food was cooked to perfection. Our server, Jamie, was the best server I have ever had! He was engaging, cheerful, and had a wonderful sense of humor. We absolutely loved him!
I was truly surprised. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. I truly recommend this place to anyone. I will be back whenever I'm in the area. Honestly I wished I lived here instead of Ocala because I would eat here a whole lot more often.
My husband and I stopped in for a light lunch this past weekend since we were camping at Rodman park nearby. I ordered the crab cake Benedict not thinking much of it other than it was one of the specials and sounded really great. OMG what a life changing plate of food I ate. I almost cried after that first bite. The crab cakes themselves were full of meat, the seasoning was perfect and the toast was lightly toasted. So amazing! I ate everything last bite, left no crumbs. I also ordered the earl gray tea and asked for milk and sugar on the side. They presented me with a lovely plate of assorted sugars and cold milk. Once i drank a full cup another waiter asked me if I wanted hot water. They noticed! And those attention to details is amazing. We loved our experience and will be coming back when we go camping again. Absolutely great staff and atmosphere.
Stopped to pick up a few sandwiches for the road on the way back to Tampa post hurricane Milton. Super friendly staff, charming ambience, cool store next door called The Urban Farmhouse. Wish we could’ve eaten there but we had our puppies with us. My husband and I shared the 705 which is blackened chicken wrap with cucumber and hummus and the curry chicken croissant. Both were fantastic. The croissant was so fresh and the chicken curry with craisins was one of the best I’ve had! Even the macaroni salad on the side was yummy. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
My friend and I were traveling from Jacksonvillle and wanted to have breakfast on the road and we couldn’t find anywhere to eat so I found this restaurant on google and we were so happy to find it! It’s a little hidden gem! The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was top notch, and the coffee was to die for. The coffee was so good. I bought some to take home. Highly recommend!
The Magnolia is one of the best surprises in Palatka! Open Wed-Mon until 3 PM, this quaint dine in eatery serves the freshest foods, teas, coffees and baked goods keep me coming back every week! Their specials are changed weekly and the standard menu is filled with Southern style savory breakfast & lunch items. The servers are all sweet & personable, and welcome you with a smile. A party of one or six there's plenty of seating & food to go around! I can't tell you which was my favorite delicacy, but I have to say, the short rib French onion soup made me tear up! It was like a hearty hug from the inside... Come hungry! You won't be disappointed!
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast this morning at The Magnolia. We both ordered Classic Benedicts. One with a side of home fries and the other with grits. We each enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee with our meals. The dining room was bright and cheery. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.
I’ve been here 4 times now and I’ve ordered different things every visit. I have not found a restaurant with such consistent EXCELLENCE like this in many years. From breakfast foods, to sandwiches to their deserts - they have A+ options. Quick and efficient service. Kind staff. Love this place!
This was our first time to experience The Magnolia. We enjoyed an amazing breakfast to include their delicious coffee, the Southern Benedict and the Croque Madame. The employees were professional and kind. They all made for a welcoming environment. The food was exceptional and the portions large. A take home container was needed. We look forward to trying their lunch menu.
Just happened to stop while passing through and am very glad I did!!! One of the best breakfast meals I have ever had. Seasonal veggie bowl: Small diced sweet potatoes, potatoes, roasted crispy brussel sprouts, pickled onions, feta cheese and eggs on top with a delicious light sauce. Executed perfectly. We are semi foodies and travel searching for great tasting, healthy, and consciously sourced food. They have a ‘veggie forward‘ menu with seasonal options. This place is an absolute gem!
Fantastic place for breakfast, coffee and meeting up with friends. It feels like home. Everyone is friendly and the omelets are fresh. I met a friend and we stayed for over 2 hours catching up and never felt rushed. The coffee alone will bring us back!
We enjoyed a wonderful late lunch at the magnolia. I had the Reuben which was one of the best that I have ever had. I also tried my wife's pimento BLT on before which was really good as well. I will definitely eat here again.
Great tea selection and great chefs with amazing color, flavor, texture profiles. Everything we had was amazing. Great service and cozy cafe chic. Hash browns ate air fried and seasoned perfectly. Even the burrito was in a spinach wrap. Great options for vegetarians.
First time eating here, was quite a bit of a crowd at lunch rush. Service was excellent, atmosphere was decent, a little loud at times but not overly to mess up the ambiance. The cranberry mimosa was great for lunch and the ham and gruyere omelet was very delicious. Parking wasn't too bad if you don't mind street parking. I will definitely return and eat here again.
What a fabulous find! I need gluten free and have dairy restrictions and just had the MOST yummy breakfast burrito! Made some adjustments with no issues. The staff is wonderful too and an overall blessing. We live 90 minutes away and plan to come back once a month! That good! Bonus with adorable gift store attached too!
This is the absolute sweetest little cafe. The decor and aesthetic is just so cute and clean. We started with some pumpkin coffees and a chai latte that I added their home made white chocolate syrup to, and it was definitely the best chai I’ve ever had. We tried a slice of the pumpkin loaf and it was so moist with the most delicious cream cheese frosting on top. Then I tried the sweet potato and carrot bisque. It was so thick and savory with so much flavor. My cousin and I shared the corn beef hash and Belgian waffle. The hash was by far the best I’ve had in my life. The meat was so tender and tasty with a wonderful hollandaise sauce. Our server Jamie was so kind and attentive and made us feel so welcome. Everyone who came in there was treated like family. Any time I have the chance, I would certainly go out of my way to stop back in again.
Stumbled upon this spot today for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful. This place is so cute inside and had the sweetest vibes. The service was great and very friendly. Definitely recommend the rye bread, it was amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. We live about an hour away and are already planning a trip back over just to stop here. Such a great find in Palatka.
Bravo! If Paula Deen and Guy Fieri ever had an illicit culinary love child, this restaurant would be it. Loud, proud, and ready to set your tastebuds on fire. Every bite was such a flavor explosion that I’m convinced my salivary glands filed for overtime because WOW! And the brunch style drink lineup? Let’s just say they’re not optional. They’re the spiritual counterweight required to restore balance deep in your soul after the delicious chaos happened on the plate. What a true gem in The Gem City. Honestly, who rates this place anything less than a 5? If you’re out here giving low stars, go home and reevaluate your frozen food lifestyle choices. And I’m not even sure you are truly saved from your sin because this is a gourmet café that demands respect and serves straight up manna from heaven. It’s so good that if Julia Child were still with us, I’m convinced she’d drop French cuisine on the spot for this Americana mouth candy. The kind of soul warming magic that James Beard would bless and Michelin would invent a sixth star for. My only complaint? I couldn’t eat the entire menu in one sitting. But based on what I tasted and saw, I’m confident every dish is a gold medal winning flavor train straight into my belly. Next time I’m in town for business, I’m coming back starving and on a mission. Until then, I’ll be dreaming of The Magnolia and those sweet and tasty memories that keep the genteel southern food spirit of a sleepy little town called Palatka alive.
Visited for birthday brunch and the food was amazing. It was busy and a little loud but service was fast and friendly. The house made strawberry jam was phenomenal. I had the ham and Gruyère cheese omelet with home fries and it was more than I imagined. The cranberry mimosa was refreshing. No complaints at all. Looking forward to visiting again!
So wow looking for healthy options in the area and this was it!!!!! Thank you so much for an amazing lunch with our mother🥰 Hillary was fantastic and the place was so quaint!!! Chicken salad was delicious also the French toast. My salad was the best I’ve had!!!! Definitely will be back. Keep up the great food and service. Thanks from Daytona Beach ❤️
Had THE best time this morning at The Magnolia! Jamie (James) and Greg were awesome and very personable! They totally made our day. Felt right at home! The food is delicious! Just as good as a home cooked meal! Definitely worth the price! Will be going back.
Talk about a pleasant surprise! We stopped for breakfast on our way home from Saint Augustine and wow! Absolutely top notch service and food! And the coffee!! OMG! Highly recommend! Don't even think about it! Just go! You will not regret it.
Don’t walk…RUN! This place is a GEM! My husband and I are so grateful to have stumbled upon this restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, the employees are so kind! Also, THE COFFEE! 👏Absolutely heavenly 🤤 1000% recommend! Below are pictures. I got biscuit and gravy and he got a breakfast burrito.
Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!! One of the best breakfast spots in the world.. and Ive been to a decent amount of them.
One of the best places I have been to for breakfast. They sould be very proud of every aspect of their operation. Even their homr fries were the best Ive had Very personable service by all.
Spectacular!!! Everyone is so nice and the food is super fresh and flavorful! Have only had positive experiences here and plan to return many times in the future lol!
It’s hard to impress me. This Resturant did that. The food was stellar, biscuits were delicious (some of the best I ever had), place was very clean, and best of all waitress was super friendly and attentive (young female). All around wonderful experience. Ahhhhh and the coffee was actually good. It was real strong coffee, like a specialty cafe. Highly recommend making this place part of your journey or daily retreat.
We really love the homemade soups at Magnolia, especially when paired with their amazing blackened Saltine crackers. Great menu and really nice people, too.
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️” fantastic Place. Very good Food. Very good service. Food was just fantastic. Very nice place to sit and talk. Owner was very very helpful and polite. Hillary are. Sarver was fantastic with recommendations and overall service. This place is awesome. I will be back first time here, but will be back soon. Thank you for the great service and overall experience.
We traveled an hour and a half up this way for our pups surgery, and knowing we'd be here for a bit we wanted to find a place to get breakfast. I saw the positive google reviews and was intrigued by the delicious looking menu. I ordered the chicken salad croissant and the lavender honey iced coffee. The sweet and salty flavors of the chicken salad were delicious, and tasted so fresh. The coffee was bold and just what I needed to wake up for the day ahead. I also grabbed a few bites of my partners home fries, which were fresh and hot and reminded me of my mom's. The staff were so kind and I loved the atmosphere of the dining room. It was very clean with ambient lighting from the display windows. If we find ourselves back out this way, I'd love to stop in again. The Magnolia was such a pleasant surprise to start our day.

Finally… A awesome place to review! Loved this place. The people, the food, the atmosphere Bravo! Delicious will be back highly recommend!

This place is adorable and the food is delicious and fresh! Highly recommend if in the area! The staff members are attentive to dietary restrictions and everyone is so kind.
The Magnolia Benedict was quite tasty. The pimento cheese added a southern depth of flavor. Often restaurants skimp on the hollandaise sauce, but not here- yum! Would recommend.
An excellent find in Palatka’s little downtown. The Magnolia serves up an awesome lunch. Our pimento BLT and curry chicken croissant were absolutely delicious. Fresh, quality ingredients and a more-than-generous portion were very satisfying. Even the side of pasta salad was special. No soggy macaroni or flavorless dressing here. For dessert — a decadent warm chocolate coconut macaroon. A truly robust coffee pulled it all together. Attentive service. Don’t remember when we’ve last enjoyed such a delicious lunch.
Just go here! The Reuben was amazing! My husband said it was the best one he has ever had. My wrap was yummy too. I appreciate they had a kids meal with a coloring sheet and crayons to color. The portions are generous, the fries are yummy too. Word of caution though, if your kid is sensitive to spice- skip the fries with their meal. But my husband and I ate them so it worked out. And Jamie our server was very sweet and friendly, beautiful bright setting and yummy baked goods with a cute shop connected to it to browse around after your meal. The bathrooms were clean and pretty.
Great little breakfast spot in Palatka! We had the Veggie Scramble and the Forager Omelet — both super fresh and full of flavor. The mushrooms, caramelized onions and goat cheese in the omelet were excellent, and the scramble with avocado and feta was perfectly balanced. Crispy home fries, good toast, generous portions, and very friendly service. Definitely worth skipping chain restaurants for.
I live in Saint Augustine but take the half an hour plus drive over to Palatka just to eat at the Magnolia. I went there this weekend with my parents, and it was just simply fantastic! I Used to eat here under the old Management owner and I think it’s actually gotten even better if that was possible. Everything is consistently great! The service is always top-notch and the food is the best Breakfast I’ve had anywhere! Everything has a farm table, homemade quality to it & it’s a superb experience. I had the breakfast burrito this weekend, but I’ve literally had almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.

Lovely little bistro with really great service! We went for a Saturday brunch and though it was quite busy we were seated right away. The service was spectacular. Everyone was very attentive and the food came out very quick. I ordered the Southern Benedict because sausage, gravy, and biscuits are my favorite. It was ok, but I wouldn't order it again. The gravy was very stodgy and didn't have much flavor. The egg was cooked hard which was sad for a poached egg. The biscuit was very dry. All of it together made for a pretty dry breakfast. The home fries however were really yummy!! My hubby's curry chicken salad sandwich was pretty good. We will go back and try some of the other menu items.
One of the best places in town!!! The food is always perfect and I usually love eating here, but the other day I was sad that I didn't get to. My husband and I were on our way there and called to see if they were open, they were, but they failed to mention on the phone that there was a 45 minute wait at that time so we basically went there for nothing. That is my only complaint......AND this will NOT stop me from eating here! 😋😉
Beautiful place and ambience, just found the food to be okay. The Southern Benedict was good - the gravy was fantastic, but the sausage patty was overcooked. The french toast meal that I had was decent, but. one piece of the french toast was completely burnt on the underside and not edible. There's also a weird aftertaste to the french toast...could be that it was burnt. Both dishes really needed a side of either potatoes or grits but didn't come with it. The bill was almost $50 for two with one coffee. Steep for the area.

One fly = may have come in with the door, multiple flies and a gnat = you have a problem. If you look at the flowers in the picture you will see a fly. The sauce on the BLT made the tomatoes like mush . Also, the chambord wasn’t cooked off of the sauce on the French toast, it was far too noticeable. Service was good but it doesn’t make up for the flies and the food being off
Seated yourself was what the sign said. We did just that after looking around for a spot. A very nice lady moved to a small table so my daughter and I had more room when an employee came up and told us we needed to leave the booth since others were waiting. Several people were in fact ahead of us and we needed to wait. Plenty of empty tables just needed to be cleaned. So we left. Either update your instructions for potential customers or let them follow the instructions as written. Definitely dont get an attitude with them for following what is posted!
