Great food, generous portions and great service. What’s not to love? Particularly like going there for happy hour. Never crowded when I have been there and never have had to wait. Drinks are strong too!
Hi!! Omg im such a fan.. I can't believe it took me 5 years living right by this place... to finally get in and fall in love! My bf and my fav place for dinner! Omg new review 2/2026 😍loved my food and service! Love you kimmy!!
First time, good with generous portions. The Monte Cristo lunch was very good. Their french fries are like home made so maybe they are. I had the pastrami on rye with coleslaw. Very generous with the pastrami, a tad drier than I would have hoped, but still good. Service was good with Marissa & Mauricio (?). Huge menu! There is something on this menu for everybody.
We ordered the brisket dinner and it was to die for. So tender and yummy and the veggies were cooked perfectly and the potato salad was quite tasty just how we like it. Our waiter, Alexander was very personable and gave us A1 service. He’s a keeper. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Great place, went here on vacation though it seemed cool and it was amazing. The food was fantastic, the staff were friendly and a pleasure to be around. Definitely recommend to go, great for the whole family.
It's like a deli in Los Angeles, or any other big city *but* it's so very comfortable friendly and right off highway 111 between Palm springs, cathedral city Rancho Mirage. I noticed that the time I was there today it was quiet, not at all noisey - no piped in music the staff were happy (enjoyed and cared about their restaurant and each other). Very peaceful.place to just enjoy a substantial meal quick bite, or today I tried their soup and it really was fantastic...I plan on using the takeout option for soup, as well as the deli pre-fixe dinners on the menu :-)
Fast restaurant with a very large menu. First time in PS and went to many different restaurants. Service was good and food was very good. Large selection of desserts and pastries. The cornbeef sandwich was very good and reminded of the delis' in Manhattan as the name stated. The Cobb salad, soups and other dishes were just as tasty. Would go back to try other dishes.
We saw they have amazing google reviews, just casually visiting. We had great brunch, all of the servers were awesome and welcoming. We asked for their signature menu and dessert, one of our servers explained all the details of the restaurant menu ! The corned beef sandwich was huge big. All the layers of the beef looked cool, juicy and tasty! Make sure you request the fresh crunch cucumber pickles and cabbage pickles with the corned beef(no additional charge)
I dinned in with a friend. I had previously been to this restaurant before it was refurbished and made into a bright and cheery environment. The food was very good, especially for the price. The server was particularly friendly and very attentive. We sat in a booth, so the atmosphere was enhanced. My tuna fish salad was really good. I actually liked it better than Sherman’s another competitive deli like restaurant in Palm Springs. I have to really say that the raspberry Jewish pastry that I had was delicious and I love desserts. The recent renovations to the restaurant really make the dining experience so much more pleasant is much more mid-century, bright colors, Palm Springs style, which I personally find cheerful and vibrant … I plan to go back.
Fantastic restaurant and the food is delicious. We had the cup of Mish Mash Soup and a hot Ruben made with pastrami and a side of the potato salad (so creamy and tasty). Will def be back in the future to sample more things as well as get something from the dessert case. Huge selection and the slices of the cake are enormous!!!
We had a great lunch here with friends. I was happy with their vast menu, including all day breakfast and many vegetarian options. They have an amazing bakery with tons of desserts and danishes, etc, fresh breads and bagels, and other baked goodies. Our food came out quickly from the kitchen. We really enjoyed the cabbage soup, the salads, and the sandwiches served in fresh baked bread. My sandwich was so huge that I could barely eat it all. Service was good and prices were very fair compared to most other similar places in the area. We will definitely return here again and will recommend it to our friends and to others visiting the area.
I actually heard about this place from Guy Fieri on his show Diners drive-ins and Dives. And man, it doesn't disappoint. Service was great, and the food had no business being that good from a "deli/bakery." I had the French toast, and wow, u can totally tell that bread was like today fresh. And their hashbrowns were perfect, and they had a nice little bed of "crunch" on top with soft chewy potatoes under the hood. The kids menu is very generous, too, for those of u who have families like myself. It is definitely a local spot but, tourist are welcomed too. If you're into deli diner food and are in the Coachella Valley, then treat yourself to this joint. u won't regret it.
Good food, good service and friendly host. Neighborhood place that delivers every time

Love it here! Everything is great here from the menu whether it's drinks desert breakfast or dinner. Good service and nice staff.

Great menu, food, atmosphere, decor, vibe. Great service. We went back 3x during our 6 days in Palm Springs. Enough said.

Good food and quiet atmosphere. I thought the service was a bit slow, for the number of guests. Ham and cheese omelet, and the chili omelet were both good. The price was good for the size of the dish. Overall, we enjoyed our meals, and plan to return in the future.
Esmeralda and Jose tool great care of us! Overall great service and food was pretty good too. As far as something that would stand out, not really. Food portions are generous and it's enough to have a second snack especially if your having dessert. Place looks clean, lots of seat both inside and out. Food takes a bit to come out but worth the wait.

We had company in town staying in proximity and thought we'd give it a try. Pastrami sandwiches were disappointing, fish & chips were excellent, wedge salad was really good and deserts were best in class. Beverages were ok. It was nice to be able to reserve on opentable.
We had a group of 8. Its a good meet up place. Plenty of dessert options. We had breakfast. Most of our group was not very happy with their food. The service can get slow but they do get really busy. Its a good place for travelers and it looks like they get a lot of senior locals.

What happened? Used to be good, now service, even sitting at the bar, is SLOOOW, food was mediocre at best, $25 for 4 slices of lox, dry cold bagel, has that had been sitting a long time and order was served only partially, sides were not brought...won't be going back...Sherman's all the way from now on.
The only reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because my partners monte cristo was very good. Server was sarcastic and rude with no concept of personal space and he was smelly. I got the manhatten burger medium. The first time it came out well done and tough as a hockey puck. The next one came out medium well and was edible but flavors were underwhelming and onions tasted old. Overall far from impressed there’s much better delis to eat at in PS.
Booth seats dunk down and are uncomfortable- too many people over too long sitting on them. Moved to table but table extensions slope down so you needed to put your food away from you so you wouldn’t wear it. Dinner arrived before we finished appetizers. Meal was of average quality. Soups were best part. Server brought check before table was cleared of dishes. No offer of coffee or desert. We won’t go back.

After nearly 18 years of touting Manhattan Deli as a "go to restaurant," the Sunday brunch was a shock. Our reservation was for 9:30, and we were showed to an extended 4 top with 7 chairs in a room in the back of an almost empty restaurant. After seated, two other large parties were seated AFTER we were seated but received their orders before we were served. Only 6 of 7 orders arrived together, which included a burnt-beyond-recognition chicken sandwich - twice sent back. Evidently wait staff couldn't find the half order of pancakes but brought out 4 strips of burndt-beyond-recognition bacon. Nearly 30 minutes of waiting 2 pancakes were served. And then there's the mix-up with a simple cheddar cheese omelette. Manager did not charge us for the chicken sandwich. For the first time in nearly two decades, we left Manhattan Deli deeply disappointed.
I am compelled to share my disappointing experience at a Palm Springs establishment I previously enjoyed. Upon my initial visit in 2022, the venue had recently reopened following the COVID-19 pandemic, and its unique, 50s-style diner atmosphere, complete with vibrant colors and decor, and there was openly gay people with wonderful personallitey that delivered warm reception and exeptional service that left a lasting impression. The diversity was noticeable ! However, my recent return was a stark contrast. The once-colorful establishment morft into something dark and depressing , like old Dennis located of old truck rout and the parking lot was eerily empty on a Wednesday morning. Despite the name being correct, I questioned whether I had entered the wrong establishment. The menu, though unchanged in size and content, was presented by an entirely new staff, all of whom were Hispanic which, while not an issue for me, was a notable difference from my previous visit. The food portions were satisfactory, but the quality was subpar, particularly the burnt coffee, which was undrinkable. The bill was exorbitant, with two coffees costing $9, an $19 ham and cheese omelette, a $23 smoked salmon bagel, and a single egg for $6. The total, $65.48, plus a $10 tip, resulted in a staggering $75 bill for a breakfast that was, by no means, exceptional. I am disappointed to report that this once-vibrant, mid-century-inspired eatery has lost its charm, and I would not recommend it, nor will I return. I have attached a copy of my receipt to substantiate my review and encourage others to form their own opinions.
The place was empty on a Saturday night for a good reason. I expected good quality since they claim New York inspired. The experience with the front was not good they could not give me a suggestion for a salad with chicken.what they ended up giving me was a tiny side salad and a container with grilled chicken. Their steak sandwich was terrible. Soggiest bread and soggy lettuce the tooth pick that wasn’t needed was hidden almost bit into it. Ended up just eating the vainy steak that tased boiled. asked for steak fries they gave me crappy crunchy fries. They left out a vegetable platter I paid for. Soggy canolies that taste like they e been there for a month. The inside is heavy whip cream and they have cherries on each side. Terrible What a horrible place. Would not recommend anyone go there or take their family there. I don’t k ow how they are still in business. No leadership presence there. Don’t waist your time.
