One of the best place for food in Palma. Loved the good. Good service. Great atmosphere. Very kind staff. Especially a big appreciation to Nerea, who served us on 14th April 2024. She is a great asset to Casa Rusino. And Yhorahidy also provided us a great service, thanks to both girls. I will come here again only because of the service of staff. Best service in Palma. Definitely recommend it to everyone.
The place can look pricey at first glance, but trust me, it's worth it. You can find much cheaper alternatives in the vicinity, but either the quality, taste, or portion size will differ. The sangria was one of, if not the best, we had tried on our trip, and the staff was friendly, fast, and genuinely cared about us they made sure the table was clean after each course and even asked for our feedback.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Tapas Experience to Remember! We had an absolutely fantastic meal here — truly one of the best tapas experiences we’ve ever had! Our group of 6 adults and 1 child decided to go all in and try everything on the tapas menu except the pickled octopus, and every single dish was a winner. The flavors were bold, fresh, and beautifully balanced. We also shared a paella, and it was the perfect centerpiece — rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. Special shoutout to Ravi, our waiter, who was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made great recommendations and ensured everything ran smoothly. If you’re looking for authentic, out-of-this-world Spanish food with excellent service, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back!
We were welcomed by Javi who was friendly and very helpful. We started with some tapas then ordered some paella to share. It’s advisable to book a table in advance as the restaurant is busy. The food was delicious, served hot and with a friendly smile. I would recommend this restaurant.
Worth a reservation to make sure you get a spot or you'll be trying your luck! Honestly it is much more expensive then anywhere else in the area, but its authentic Spanish cuisine and very much worth it for first time visitors! Definitely the best paella we had on our trip. That and a sangria was enough for us to be full!
Reservation needed, we did it on their website, link here on Google maps. You can probably get a free table, but best to make a reservation to be sure. The staff was friendly and helpful, fast service. The food was delicious, I personally am not much of a fan of seafood (that goes on paella), but I must say it was very delicious, confirmed as well by my partner, which loves paella. For my personal taste maybe a bit to salty, but even so pretty good. They bring it to your table and serve you a portion, the rest you take by yourself. The portion was good, we both were full, also tried Homemade Chicken "Croquetas", which were delicious too. Sangria was great as well. Definitely recommend to hive it a try.
A Hidden Culinary Gem in Palma – Casa Rufino is a Must-Try! During our stay in Palma, we stumbled upon Casa Rufino, a small local restaurant tucked away from the busy tourist streets — and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! From the very first bite, we knew we had discovered something special. The tapas and seafood paella were absolutely incredible — bursting with flavor, made from fresh, high-quality ingredients, and seasoned to perfection. Honestly, it was the best paella we've ever had — rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. One of the simple yet unforgettable highlights for me was the toasted bread with olive oil and allioli. It might sound basic, but the balance of textures and the richness of the flavors made it unforgettable. Sometimes, it's the little things done exceptionally well that leave the biggest impression. We also loved the grilled octopus and the crispy Sandrine fish — both cooked beautifully, tender inside and perfectly crisp on the outside. Each dish felt like it was made with care and passion. The atmosphere of Casa Rufino is warm and unpretentious, just like a true local gem. Special shout-out to Javi, our waiter, who made our experience even more enjoyable. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed with his kind and open demeanor. If you're looking for authentic Mallorcan flavors in a cozy, intimate setting — Casa Rufino is the place. We’re so glad we found it and would return in a heartbeat.
The paella was tasty & the padron peppers were also nice, patatas bravas was nice but the salsa was spicy, can be too much if you don't like spicy food. We were happy for the good food but unfortunately when we still didn't finish our food, the staff started to come to us & ask if we finished eating every 10 minutes with a face like felt us we need to leave which was annoying & we didn't understand why, it wasn't even busy & too many tables were free so it couldn't be that they needed our table urgently. This made us feel bad like we are kicked out, even if the food is nice, because of this behaviour we will not repeat this again.
The patatas bravas were excellent but were sadly missing the crucial element of a cooling sauce to accompany it. They were very spicy, but excellent, so it was a shame the typically served white sauce wasn't included. We also had paella which was okay. We felt everything could have been a tad cheaper too.
We went there because of high rating and comments but wasn’t really as expected. We got tapas and we hardly eat because no taste. Especially octopus was a disappointment. It felt like plastic , we had trouble chewing it. We only liked shrimp but it wasn’t perfect either. Its the kind you can find at any restaurant. We ordered 2 things more but I didnt take picture as they arrived lately and already we were not happy with the taste.
