Opinions de Palmetto Superfoods Palo Alto
These are seriously the best acai bowls in the bay. They use just acai puree to make their acai bowls, not a smoothie blend which is so much better. They also have many other different smoothies you can have, like coconut, spirulina, pitaya, and many more. You can add an many toppings as you want, no extra charge, which is so great. The inside is very small, but there are a few sets inside and many more outside. Great location in Town and Country mall. Truly the best!
I love love LOVE Palmetto. It’s hands down my favorite açaí place, and I’ve tried a bunch in the Bay Area. It’s got colorful, fresh ingredients, and you have unlimited toppings and bases to choose from all for the same price. That’s golden! Not only do you have free rein in how many bases and toppings you want to put, but their vibe and branding are also really well done. And as a fellow creative, I appreciate the quality in their food and in their story and mission statement. And I absolutely love that they have highly nutritious and delicious ingredients like spirulina, beehive pollen, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp, etc The only reason I have a 3 rating for atmosphere is the location is just a bit tiny, but there are chairs and tables outside. It’s just that it’s not the cleanest if people have sat there. And the tables aren’t reserved just for palmetto so anyone from any of the food places can sit there, making it hard to find a spot sometimes. Other than that, great bowls 🩷
This place was great. I love how you can choose unlimited bases and toppings. Absolutely delicious.
Delicious and healthy! So many topping options! Our bowls tasted amazing. Ordering thru tablet, comes with pros and cons, as you may forget to add custom toppings or may not know of all specific toppings. Overall 5/5 but could use extra staff member.
Nestled in the heart of Palo Alto, this spotoffers a delightful escape into the world of wholesome refreshments. Whether you're craving a revitalizing smoothie or a nourishing bowl, this cozy spot delivers! The menu boasts a variety of options tailored to cater to different dietary preferences and nutritional needs. From classic green smoothies packed with antioxidants to exotic açai bowls topped with fresh fruit and granola, each item is crafted with care and attention to detail. I opted for the Golden state smoothie, a perfect blend of mango, pineapple, and coconut water. The balance of flavors was impeccable, not overly sweet but just right to satisfy my taste buds while feeling guilt-free. They are committed to using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, ensuring both freshness and sustainability. The staff was knowledgeable about their offerings and willing to customize orders to accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences. Whether you're a health-conscious local or just passing through Palo Alto, palmetto superfoods is a gem worth discovering. It promotes wellness and vitality through delicious, thoughtfully prepared food. I left feeling energized and satisfied, already planning my next visit to explore more of their enticing menu.
Very good price. You can add so many toppings. Recommended chia pudding +açaí base
I’ve only come here once but I thought it was SO good. I got the Bay Bowl and loved the blend of açaí, pitaya, chia pudding, coconut cream. I’ve never had anything like it. I also think the prices are reasonable compared to somewhere like Bare Bowls. The two ladies staffing were also very helpful. Will be coming back when I’m in town!
The best acai bowl spot ever! Fantastic flavors like the mango and pitaya, though the acai base is not as good. Great variety of fresh toppings as well.
Delicious and healthy! So many topping options! I like that we can order the "build your own" through the tablet, makes it so easy.
Darling, let me rave about Palmetto Superfoods! Their acai bowls are the stuff dreams are made of! I went for one straight off the menu, no customizations needed, and let me tell you, it was absolute perfection! Not too sweet, just the right balance, and the toppings? Honey, they had more variety than a drag queen's wardrobe! Five stars? Oh, honey, they've got me feeling like a supermodel strutting down the runway!
I really love Palmetto and the açaí bowls are my favorite. I’ve been going here probably like once a week. The one thing I wish was better is the online ordering system. It never tells you when your order is actually done, like the app will say still preparing but when I get there, it’s always ready and already in the fridge. And then picking up is really awkward too because all the workers are frantically making bowls and no one is at the register, so you have to awkwardly stare at them until they look up and ask if you have an online order. I wish there was a simpler and more streamlined way to pick up. Like a fridge you could just walk up to, or a person who would be proactive and ask about online orders.
The best açaí bowl I’ve ever had! First time customer here. I’ve had some really nice ones before, but most of the time the açaí base itself is a vessel for me to enjoy the delicious toppings like fresh fruit. With Palmetto I was almost doing the opposite, savoring the various layers as well as eating them together. It’s such a bonus that they let you choose as many bases you’d like to try all their offering but I suggest not to overdo it so you can still taste each one distinctly should you wish! I chose the Bay Bowl, trusting their pre-made combinations are probably there for a reason and added the matchacado base. It was so good that I don’t know if I should even try the other items on the menu 😂. They are very generous with the toppings and because I stopped by in opening day, the bowls came out looking exactly like they did in photos. Very instagram worthy! Will definitely come back and I hope the attention and care to each bowl continues to hold! No surprise to me the line up for this place.

First Açaí bowl. It is delicious with fresh fruits and nuts. Many choices. The services are great. Workers are very patient and helpful, it was a long line, but shortened quickly.
My first experience here was fantastic. Silvia was great at helping me pick what to add to my bowl. Definitely recommend stopping by this location
Really great acai bowls and smoothies. The ingredients and variety is spectacular and way better than anything else around.
Friend of mine suggested to go to this location. The staff need to definitely work on greeting customers in, I had to ask several time to just get an answer as to where I can get a menu since the display they have where it shows the smoothies is not in big fonts where I can see all the details. After 3-5 minutes of waiting (nobody was in line in front of us), one of the ladies told me to look into the order display for more details. I ordered one of the smoothies and it took about 10 minutes to get ready (pretty reasonable), but I didn’t like the texture nor how hard I need to suck on the straw to get the juice out. But it was different and I wanted to try it out. We didn’t get to try their food but there is a nice seating area outside which was pretty fun. Well I hope I get to try their food next time.
I always see this place busy, so decided to visit today w my coworker as we were picking up lunch next door. Smoothies were a little pricey but normal range for this area- plus it took me 2 sittings to finish mine As others have mentioned the font on display menu is too small - accessibility is a concern. But overall we enjoyed the smoothies a lot Warrior blend & I was most curious about açaí cold brew- didn’t taste like coffee at all very banana forward which was fine as I like bananas

Was slow, quite expensive and very small. The worker told us she wouldn’t give us water. The bowls were delicious though.
The acai itself was delicious, and I appreciated the variety of toppings and fruits available. Personally, I highly recommend trying the almond butter, coffee roasted granola, chia pudding, and of course, the acai itself – they're must-tries! However, I found the pitaya to be overly sweet due to its high sugar content, and I regretted trying it. Additionally, with such a wide array of toppings and flavors, there's a lot going on, which can be overwhelming and detract from the overall experience. Despite this, if you're a fan of acai bowls, this place offers a solid option with a variety of toppings to choose from.

The açaí bowl was ok but the services was super strange. From the point we order the young lady keep laughing and talking with the other server. Very impolite
Imagine sending smoothies to customers without straws. So inconsiderate. You can really feel how cheap the management is, they don’t care about their customer’s experience.
I usually come to the one in Santana Row and I never had this bad experience before. I ordered a smoothie bowl today July 18th at 7 pm there was a girl and a boy taking the order. To start, my bowl was hella melted but I did not complain because they were about to close(It was 7:30 pm). Then while eating my bowl I find a yellow big piece on my bowl, when I ask the guy about it they both said it was pollen. But as I was turning around going toward my friends, my girl friends notice the girl was laughing. Then my friends went to complain too but the personnel said it was the pollen again, and opened the sifter to show us. However, I do not find possible how pollen that big in the shape of a rock came through a sifter into my bowl. The did not even apologize or offer to replace my small bowl. Is disappointing cause since the opening I have showed a lot of my friends this place cause I like the açaí bowls. But is sad that now the service is poor I might not be coming back or recommending it again.

Horrible employees and filthy smelly store. These so called “employees” sit around on their phone gossiping instead of cleaning up dirt caked on the stores door handle. They are very rude, they don’t acknowledge you when you walk in and have zero communication skills. They charge 10$ for a small açaí bowl, which is ok but not when the store is filthy and the employees don’t even want to work.
Extremely rude employees. The owner of Palmetto Superfoods did a mistake hiring just anyone. The brand has so much potential, but you have terrible employees who will run your company to the ground. Are these employees getting paid $5 an hour? Please teach your employees basic customer service skills. I experienced this type of behavior at 3 other locations as well, so it’s not just the Palo Alto location. The store is always dirty, the door doesn’t seem like it has been wiped since this location has opened. Again, I enjoy these bowls so much but no longer will return to any Palmetto Superfoods until basic customer service skills are taught.
