Opinions de RH Rooftop Restaurant Palo Alto
We had an absolutely amazing time at RH! The entire experience was nothing short of delightful. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were perfectly crafted, and the ambiance was simply stunning — elegant, warm, and picture-perfect. Our server, Tamara, was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and made the evening even more enjoyable with her thoughtful service. Every dish we tried was spot on — full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Appetizers: Di Stefano Burrata Crispy Artichokes Mains: Whole Grilled Branzino Grilled Shrimp Roasted Chicken Broiled King Salmon And their Bellini — simply divine! Refreshing, light, and the perfect way to toast a beautiful evening. Almost forgot to add, their Butterscotch Crème Brûlée was so good that we plan to come back just to enjoy that!
RH Restaurant Palo Alto is a beautiful place for a special evening. The environment is stunning, as expected from RH, but still manages to feel warm and romantic. If you can, go around 4 to 5pm. It is less busy, and the sunset over the distant mountains casts a soft golden light across the space that makes the entire experience feel magical. The food was excellent. The burrata was rich and well balanced, the branzino perfectly crispy outside and tender inside, the lobster and caviar dish felt luxurious and comforting, and the truffle fries absolutely hit the spot. Don’t get me started on the desserts. The service is what truly stood out. Thoughtful, attentive, and seamless without being overbearing. The team made everything feel intentional and welcoming, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the evening. We will definitely be back.
From the moment we arrived, everything flowed smoothly, as we already had a reservation in place. The service was outstanding every member of the staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. Drinks arrived in under five minutes, appetizers followed in approximately twenty minutes, and the main course came shortly after, with another twenty-minute wait. The pacing felt well-organized and comfortable throughout the experience. The food was truly delicious, standing out for its quality and flavor. I sincerely look forward to returning very soon.
My mom and I across this restaurant accidentally and had low expectations. The food was amazing, especially the board and the mini lobster rolls with caviar. But the best part of this dinner was the excellent service. Our waiter, Sandro, was truly exceptional and was very kind. Thank you Sandro for making our night!
RH Rooftop Palo Alto offers a magnificent setting where elegant sophistication seamlessly blends with exquisite culinary delights and refined, attentive service. The beautifully crafted celebration experience garnered numerous admirations from guests. The experience featured elevated cocktails and exceptional culinary creations, creating a superb gastronomic journey. The rooftop ambiance was particularly captivating, with classic firepits and sparkling chandeliers nestled among olive trees and the signature RH fountain, all contributing to a remarkable atmosphere. A lovely birthday celebration was punctuated by delightful indulgences, including petit lobster rolls with caviar and festive Bellini toasts.
My daughter and I drove to Palo Alto to spend the day. She made a reservation for us to eat at the restaurant. We arrived an hour early and they were able to accomodate us. The lobster rolls with caviar and the butterscotch creme brulee was absolutely delicious. I also had the caesar salad with salmon. Watching the sunset from the rooftop was an added treat!
I was very interested in the unique concept that RH offers and really enjoyed the food. Being from the North East the lobster roll was absolutely tender and juicy. I wanted to highlight Scout who works in the main lobby and greeted me as I was heading out and explained in great detail all the questions I had about the furniture and history/background of RH. You can easily tell that they are very passionate about their job and have a lot of knowledge. My interaction with them even convinced me to check out the New York location! I highly recommend for a unique experience.
O M G. Exceeds our expectations. The set up, the food, and THE PEOPLE. The way everybody treated us was just unbelievable. We already want to come back. Highly recommend this place to everyone. We definitely be back!
4 locations in the bay area. Consistent theme and menu. Menu is limited. Food is consistently good food. Service is great. Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating areas.

We marked the dinner out at this unique restaurant for my daughter's 21st birthday. Over all the experience was fantastic. The server, Ashley was outstanding ensuring we were familiarized on how the process worked for ordering and what each meal contained. She was patient and answered our many questions. Note, we did make a reservation two weeks before our special dinner date. We ordered a couple of appetizers, friend artichokes and burrata with roasted peppers. Our entrees included smoked salmon, steak, branzino, lobster rolls, salad, a burger and chicken sandwich. All were good, mine, the branzino was not super flavorful, not bad, though nothing special. We ordered a butterscotch creme brulee and as a gift they gave the birthday girl chocolate chip cookies. The view at sunset was spectacular!
The ambiance of the rooftop restaurant was beautiful. Joined a friend for lunch here and it didn’t disappoint. We started with cocktails and shared the Caesar salad and the lobster and caviar appetizer. The Caesar was a bit small but perfect to share. We then shared the double cheeseburger and truffle fries. Truffle fries were no joke. Highly recommend. We ended with the caramelized banana split and the chocolate chip cookies. Both were incredible. Our waiter brought over the crème brûlée as well as a gesture as the banana split was a bit late coming out so that was very generous. The atmosphere was really beautiful. Super comfy chairs and cute tables. It was like sitting in an atrium. Very whimsical and open with a beautiful water fountain in the center of the room. The restaurant is on the third floor and I didn’t see an elevator so I climbed several flights of stairs which can be tough for some people. All in all a great experience with pretty decent food and great service with a knowledge and friendly staff.
Such a beautiful aesthetically pleasing location and amazing rooftop restaurant. Would definitely recommend for a romantic brunch or dinner. All ambience. However the food menu itself is lacking and nothing really stands out. The service was sub par. We had our appetizer served to us and we waited for a good 15mins, while it got cold to get plates to eat off. Go there for drinks( wine and beer, no hard liquor ) and just a nice peaceful sit down outing.
Beautiful place and great atmosphere. The service was quite inattentive and sometime rude, except our last waiter who was finally professional. The wine and food selection was great. Perfect place for a Sunday brunch. Reservation is highly recommended.
Outrageous prices for regular food. This is not fine dining. But the prices are fine dining prices. Was the food good? Yes. Was the food great? No. Service was all over the place. Not what I would expect for this type of restaurant. Probably won’t be back.
Beautiful, cozy and romantic place for couples. Grilled Shrimp, fries and grilled asparagus was the best. Salmon bland and no taste, Rib-eye steak bland and had no taste and super dry. Each menu serves with no side and side needs to be ordered separately and that adds up to the bill. For 2 people without tip costs over $150
The service is erratic on different days. I worked as a food server and bartender for thirty years so I know service. The fried chicken sandwich is outstanding, still thinking about it. They have excellent bar Coca-Cola served in a glass filled with small ice cubes. Very refreshing. It's a bit on the expensive side, but, that's everywhere here. If you're facing the Santa Cruz mountains, it has a nice view. Most of the time parking is plentiful. And yes, you can get handicap people up there, my mother had her scooter and rode it right into the restaurant, and then they stowed it away for us while we ate. I'll definitely go back.
The restaurant is definitely pricey but it makes up for it in the quality of food and the beautiful setting! My friend and I had a reservation for a Sunday at 11am. Easy parking as it's located on Stanford shopping center. I ordered the Italian Benedict and my friend ordered the shaved ribeye dip and an iced tea. My Benedict was delicious! Definitely the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had and the fresh shaved parmesan cheese on top was the perfect touch! My friend liked her ribeye dip as well but thought it could have been elevated with some horseradish. The dining room is in a beautiful glass structure with a fountain and trees, and they open the doors to the outside for the perfect ambiance.
Absolutely stunning restaurant with a great vibe! The staff are so friendly, and the food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. Perfect spot for a relaxing yet special dining experience.

They have hey beautiful inside area with a fountain and a large area outside with couches that you can sit on. They barely have any vegetarian options which is odd for such a large menu. There are no vegan options besides potatoes. The green juice was delicious. The had a basic salad, with no cheese. They had no vegetarian protein options to add on, but you can add half an avocado. Nice space for groups and some photos with a nice backgrounds. The food that I had was nice. Would recommend the outside patio for a baby shower or fun gathering like a chill lunch birthday.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant with superb service. Sophie or Sophia was excellent. Very friendly and she understood what I wanted even before I said it. The food I felt was just a-ok for the price. I would still repeat if I wanted to have a serious chat with someone.
The building is beautiful. The food was fine but the service for groups of 5+ with the automatic gratuity left much to be desired. We had a dinner gathering gear and enjoyed the salads, the cheese board (get the large) truffle fries, caramelized banana split, and the fresh made cookies with sea salt. These were awesome. The just ok stuff was the salads (gem, and the salad with arugula were both just ok. The ribeye at $66 was just fine. I will say the service really brought the rating down for RH for me. The ambiance was posh but loud for the way the seats were situated. This is very much a quick drink and light apps sort of place don’t come for fab food. Also note, no hard alcohol here. Average 2.5 stars for me overall. Nice for the insta-worthy photos, beautiful furniture, and ok food!
We arrived at 7:30 pm and placed our order shortly after. Our appetizer didn’t arrive until 8:00 pm, and then we waited another full hour for our main courses. During that entire time, no waiter checked in with us at all—no updates, no apologies, nothing. We only received our food after we finally had to complain. Unfortunately, the food itself was also below standard. The lamb chops were over-charred, extremely bitter, and inedible, and appeared to be drenched in oil, making the entire dish overly greasy. The grilled lobster was shockingly underwhelming: essentially a very small lobster with no sides, priced at $75, which felt completely unjustified. The lobster roll was equally disappointing—just a pile of shredded meat on top of a small bun that clearly wasn’t homemade. Between the excessive wait time, lack of service, and poor food quality, this was a very frustrating dining experience and not one we would recommend.
My friend and I had a 2-hour lunch there, but it wasn’t because of our great conversation. The service was slow and inattentive. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the dining room was not busy. But It took over an hour for our main courses to be served. The family of 5 next to us arrived and ordered later than us, yet they finished way before us. Our server checked on us infrequently, our water glasses remained emptied for most of our stay. It was refilled once upon my request. After having waited for more than an hour for our food, starved and perched, I was shocked by how small the portion is. I ordered a steak and eggs. Based on my dinning experience at RH Meatpacking and other similar restaurants in class (eg Cecconi’s etc.), the plate did not look like a $46 prime ribeye, as stated on the menu. I’ve had better continental breakfast at a Holiday Inn. RH NY is one of my favorite dining spots, but my experience at RH Palo Alto is the dictionary definition of the word “disappointment.”
