Opinions de Pacific Catch Palo Alto
Had an excellent time! The bartender, Jose, and the team were so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the service matched perfectly. Loved sitting at the bar and enjoying the view. Definitely planning to come back!
The staff are always super accommodating and friendly, which makes the experience even better. The food is good, and there’s usually little to no wait, which I really appreciate. The heated patio is a huge plus and makes outdoor dining comfortable year-round. It’s a solid go-to spot at the Stanford Shopping Center and I’m always happy to come back.
Since first visiting family in California in recent years, Pacific Catch has proven to be a top favourite of all our family. Unfailingly fabulous fish, a menu to suit all three generations. We are fans. The server is superb, professional and so friendly. We enjoy the ambience and will return. Top class 👌
Nice place to get seafood! All their dishes have great, strong flavor. Their style is definitely more on the American side, but they also have a great Korean BBQ plate and good sushi (the sushi is just more on the American side than Japanese but still really good). Some of my favorites include their Coconut Shrimp, Salmon Chowder, and Korean BBQ plate. For their grilled plates they do a good grilled salmon and skirt steak. And for the sides I like their Thai Brussels and Kimichi Fried Rice. Service is good. I don’t feel like we wait too long to order or get the check. Interior is nice. They have a Pacific, beachy style mixed with warm wood features. It’s well-lit and spacious. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They have booth, table, and bar seating. Parking: Stanford shopping center has a lot of parking and for this restaurant there’s a parking lot right outside so we usually park there.
Love this place. It started as a whole in the call in SF as one of the few places one could get affordable seafood. Now that they are all over the Bay some of that has been lost but they offer still a great menu with rather healthy items. The food is tasty, the restaurant looks brand new, service was fast. Only negative is that they messed up my order and my bowl came with the rice base even though I has asked for lettuce. Minor hiccup.
Nice foods at reasonable prices in an upscale open air mall. Service was very nice. Ambience was casual. Wished the tabletops were less sticky. Those tables are harder to clean.
The food was amazing! The service was great... til it wasn't. Half way through the visit we had no server apparently. We kept needing to ask for service. Even when it came to the bill. When it came they had added a service fee at the end. I ask asked if I had to pay the service fee and they removed the charge. Yes I still left a good tip but it wasn't fully deserved.
Went several weeks ago and sat at the outside portion of the bar, and it was nice. What we ate was good! The service was okay, but after the food was delivered, I had to ask for silverware and napkins. We recently went for lunch and sat outside in the enclosed area. Our server was really nice, and she always had a smile on her face. Started with Agave Margaritas and to eat we had the Poke & Ceviche Trio and the Japanese Wasabi Original Poke bowl, and they were really flavorful and filling. We're Pacific Catch Rewards members, so we got a nice discount on our entree's!
I met up with a client for lunch. Last time I was here I had a salad and I did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the butter fish with miso sauce. I asked for no rice and I will serve extra green beans. The green beans were grilled to perfectionwith miso sauce with a grilled lemon on the side. I decided to squeeze the lemon on the fish and the green beans and it made all the difference I like this place so much I’ll be back.
Pacific Catch at the Stanford Shopping Center offers a pleasant dining experience with a welcoming and attentive staff who go out of their way to ensure guests feel comfortable. Their friendliness and efficiency truly enhance the overall atmosphere, making it a great spot to unwind or enjoy a meal with friends and family. While the sushi and ahi tuna poke were somewhat underwhelming, the seafood menu as a whole is a strong point. The freshness of the ingredients is evident, and the variety of dishes caters to a wide range of tastes. Items like their grilled fish and seafood bowls stand out, showcasing a skillful balance of flavors and presentation. The restaurant’s coastal-inspired dishes reflect a commitment to quality, even if not every item on the menu hits the mark. The ambiance at Pacific Catch is casual yet refined, perfectly suited for its location at the Stanford Shopping Center. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite after shopping or a leisurely meal, the setting feels inviting and relaxed. Overall, while there’s room for improvement in some of the menu offerings, Pacific Catch is a solid choice for seafood lovers seeking a friendly environment and a variety of fresh options.
They used to have more vegetarian options but now even the vegetarian options (guac with chips, fries, and brussel sprouts) are both fried in the same oil as the fish so they taste like fish. No reason to come here is veg except for work happy hours. Cute space, always has enough room for a large party.
Honestly food was okay. The attention was iffy, we waited a bit for the host to come to the front and when she saw us waiting she took a minute to ask about us if we were attended yet.. mind you it was emptyish at the entrance. Then we sat and waited for the waiter took a while to come to our table to just ask for refreshments, when another table sat next to us they got offered to take the drinks right away at first I took it because we had a kid, but then it started getting full and they all got immediately attention for drinks and all had kids.. so I just wasn’t too fond of that. Also food came out quicker than the dessert.
Been to a few Pacific Catches in the bay area. Ordered for 4, since one order of food was for take out: chilean sea bass salad $29.95 sashimi hand roll one of each $15.95 mexican grill seared shrimp $22.95 WC regular salmon $23.95 guacapoke $16.95 WC small salmon $20.95 3% surcharge added to the bill. There is quite a bit of seating inside and outside. Food came out really slow, supposedly due to large party order before us, but still, not much communication for the delay and service was a bit non-existent. Definitely give your phone number for rewards...ended up redeeming free entree. Parking can be difficult during peak hours.
Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Portion to Price: 2/5 Overall: Pretty standard fare The extended review... Food: Fresh Catch - 3/5 - Got a little combo with fish, shrimp, and some veggie. Food was standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 4/5 - A nice ambiance which is standard for this chain. Portion to Price: 2/5 - It's a wee bit in the pricy side for what you get.
I like the food here, it’s always pretty good. However, it is some of the worst customer service I have experienced, and it is consistently bad. There is one woman in particular with long black hair who has served us a few times, who is the rudest. To the point where she asked the table behind us if everything was okay, asked the table infront of us the same and just walked past us. Previously, we were sat indoors and the same waitress proceeded to ignore us the entire time, it got to a point I had to get up and ask another waiter for help. It’s so frustrating as we enjoy the food. But the service is awful, I will not be tipping for this kind of service moving forward. Can you please also hire more staff, everytime you need someone they all completely disappear. You then spend the next 10 mins waiting for a server whilst your food gets cold.
The waitress today was extremely rude! We ordered the food and no utensils. We need two spoons to share the soup, she gave two tiny spoons. We asked for the check and she let us waited at least 20 mins helping customer just sat down to order. She was ignoring me the whole time. I think it is a racist thing or she just had a bad day! Very disappointed.
