Brenden was phenomenal! We had such a great experience thanks to Brendan! He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at just the right times, and made our whole table feel welcome without ever being intrusive. The service truly elevated our meal. If you’re lucky enough to have him as your server, you’re in great hands!
I have been to P.F. changs multiple times over the last 10 years. We visited this evening to have dinner with my family( husband and 2 year old son). Our server Yousef provided exceptional service. We were fasting, and told him so he brought the food out all together right before it was time to break our fast. Food has always been great but it was an excellent meal experience with Yousef this evening, definitely will be returning with my family.
I’m in love with this place!! Excellent service ❤️ I was here on my first date and Brenden was absolutely amazing. He paired a beautiful red blend vino with a chocolate soufflé that was the best dessert I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back. Thank you Brenden for suggesting the perfect dish!!!! 🙏🙏🫶
Love the broad array of choices at lunch. The hot and sour soup is dark and rich with flavor. Unfortunately this time my partner had the Mongolian beef and found the beef very tough. Kung pao chicken was delicious and chicken was tender.
It’s great to come here!! The food is amazing!! The NA beers are pretty tasty!! And Camille is a fantastic bartender!! Always great to talk to!
I went for my mom's birthday and the food was great; Brenden was our server and he was very attentive and patient with all the stuff that we ordered.
We hosted a work event here for ~50 people in the back private room and it was wonderful. The food, service and atmosphere were just what we were looking for and the price was incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend!
The food was good. Didn’t expect orange chicken to be spicy and have so much garlic in it. I’m super intolerant to garlic so that’s why I didn’t eat much of it. I’m not sure if it was on the menu, I probably didn’t pay attention. The drink I ordered was the best part. As you can see, I was very excited lol
*Post Covid Dine-in experience* This is a great upscale "Americanized" Chinese food restaurant chain and the Stanford location is wonderful. We came here for dinner and were impressed with the taste of the food, the wonderful customer service, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Some Covid restrictions are still in place, but our dine-in experience was great. Details to follow: [The Food] We love PF Changs' food. We're a fan of Americanized Chinese food - and PF Changs brings the quality up a notch. It's food that you can eat and not feel so terrible afterwards. The chicken was crispy, the soup had great flavor, and the food was hot as soon as we received it. Great menu selections and we were happy! [Customer Service] Customer service here was also great. The team greets you at the door and you're quickly seated. Our server was really nice and had a positive demeanor. They also bring you a hot clothe at the beginning as well which is nice. We were checked on often and felt appreciated being there! [The Location] This is located right outside the Stanford Shopping center. There is plenty of parking because of this. You can see the restaurant right next to El Camino Real. It's a safe location, easy to get to, and there's plenty of seating and parking. Don't expect to wait too long here. Overall, if you like PF Changs - this restaurant won't let you down.
I just got takeout. The food was good, actually better than I expected. Got dinner specials, the portions aren't massive, but they're big enough. The service was prompt and very friendly. There is a full bar for those that want it. I'll probably go back for a sit down dinner soon.
I haven’t been to a P.F.Chang’s for decades and my first time reviewing. As I recalled I always had a less than positive overall experiences eating at any P.F. Chang’s priors thus my two decade pause and also shows in their low customer feedback ratings as well. However i have to say I was glad to be back here for dinner and we had an overall positive delicious back again experience.
PF Chang is more of a comfort food for me. I don’t classify them as a Chinese restaurant but rather a fusion. The service is good. Food served hot. I like the crispy green beans the most. The hot and sour soup is also good. Other dishes are ok. Best for spending time with visiting friends or family . Extensive bar drinks. Also good dessert.
The food here was good. The Northern Pork Ribs appetizer was delicious. (Five stars to these ribs.) The soups, noodles, and entrees portion of our lunches were also good. The service was questionable. We ordered an appetizer, but the first thing to come to the table was a (one) cup of soup. No other food showed up for five or ten minutes. Then the appetizer ribs appeared followed very shortly after by lo mein. After another wait, the main dish part of our lunches were delivered by a runner who nearly literally dropped the dishes on the table, including one on top of another plate and to the wrong person. I liked the servers--they seemed like nice people and were friendly enough. But they need some training--unless the issue is that they just don't really care. The restaurant had prepared cocktails they displayed up front. I assume they are trying to sell them. The restaurant might have better luck making those sales if the employees can describe the drinks. We asked two different people about them, and neither of them knew what they were. I don't have much to say about the atmosphere; it was nice enough. I would go again. It's really tempting to go to the bar (and order a drink of my choosing) and those ribs!
Nice clean place. Servers are attentive. Food is good. Spicy dishes can be adjusted upon request especially if members in the group cant take anything too spicy. We ordered Singaporean noodles, it would have helped if there was an indication that it was spicy. Dishes come with an order of white or brown rice.
It's ok. It's basically westernized Chinese takeout food but marginally better. Had the northern style ribs, lettuce wraps with chicken and the honey chicken. The first two were pretty decent. Well-seasoned and fairly yummy. The honey chicken was questionable. There was an off-tasting tang (which I assume came from a tad too much vinegar) and a weird bitter flavour near the end (probably a poorly made batter). All-in-all, exceeded my expectations, but I wouldn't go out of my way to pay this price for mediocre food. Service was pretty poor. We had to wait 25 minutes while there were multiple open tables. We also didn't get utensils and plates until we asked. Several servers looked like they were just twiddling their thumbs. Not sure what was going on there. Ok experience, but there are better Chinese takeout places. Not sure if I'll be coming back here.
First off the food is fireeeeee! I went in by myself at about 8:20 pm. I asked if I could sit an order my food and eat or did I need to get it to go because they close soon. The greeter guy at the front lil desk said get it to go cuz we about to close and only have one server so I said ok and I’m trying to put my order in and mind you I’m a black woman, a party of 5 people walk in and said can we sit and eat and his whole energy was totally different, all skippy and said hold on, excuse me and he goes and sits then. So I proceed to speak to the manager because that felt very unfair and it was a Caucasian party which I am mixed with Caucasian as well but here I am by myself in this city dealing with cancer, and getting radiation every day and I want to cheer myself on a little and have a good meal and the way this interaction made me feel really hurt and if I wasn’t a mentally strong person I could of taken this way harder. Server never checked on me. Never brought me a fork, knife, napkins nothing. I felt shunned by everyone but the manager but even he did not offer any apology or even admit that wasn’t right and I told on the greeter right in his face. Hope it’s a learning moment but probably not.
We got there around 8:30 we got sat and I guess our original server was busy so we got Francisco that we only saw for take the other check on the food that when we told him the ribs was tough he said sorry and then tried to give us dessert menu when we just our entrees after that we didn’t see him just to drop the check. I didn’t know if it was a manager on duty or not I didn’t see one. For the prices of the menu I was hoping a little more service and more quality on the food.
We ordered take out from Uber Eats and it was sub par at best. We ordered a mandarin chopped salad and added chicken and they forgot the chicken and the mandarins were expired as they had a sour/tangy taste and smelled funny. We ordered the Gluten Free spicy chicken and they forgot the sauce and sent plain chicken. We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the lettuce was brown. Obviously the quality was poor and they don't do a very good job of keeping up on past due food. Luckily Uber Eats reimbursed us for the poor quality and missing food but that's a little disturbing given the price we paid and the numerous mistakes made.
This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered Lo mein and Mongolian beef. The beef was burnt crunchy and chewy not soft. It left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth and the lo mein was greasy with no flavor. I spoke to the waiter and the manager neither of which offered any kind of refund or discounted charge. The Spring roll tasted like grease and the dipping sauce had a weird flavor. The best part of my lunch was the green tea. The waiter gave me a fortune cookie and I thought that would help take the aftertaste out of my mouth from the Meat. I Had a bite of it and it was stale. I spit it out into a napkin And left the rest of it on the table I didn't even look at the fortune inside the cookie I was so done and wanted to just leave. I should have looked at the reviews before I went in that would have made the decision for me. Stay far away it really is not worth It.
I received poor service from a waitor called JB. When I first ask for water, he said he needed to tale care of a bill first. He was chatting with another table for 30 minutes. I ask for water again, he brought a small pitcher of water and said there is little water in it. Then he said he was too busy to get more and I have to wait. The restaurant had three tables seated, and he has coworker. He is more interested in talking to other tables than providing basic waitor services.
Oh how far has PF Changs fallen to disgrace with deterioration since private equity took over. This one at a premier location in Stanford Shopping Center is utter rubbish and perhaps a new invention as to how bad you can make Americanized Chinese food. Even a chain can't go this low. There was a time, perhaps a decade ago, where PF Changs stood for decent upper class fusion Chinese. Their dry spare ribs with spice sprinkles were pretty amazing. Well not anymore. The meat was soft but wasn't tasteful or marinated enough. And they took away the spices. The lettuce wraps were okay but the meat felt like it was from a can or a factory. The crab wontons had cream cheese injected into them which completely throws away the balance of anything remotely seafood or Chinese. The edamame didn't even have salt on it. The damage doesn't stop there. The orange chicken literally was dunked into orange juice and was sour to an unbearable degree. The lo mein was bearable though. And lastly, to rub salt on the wound, it ain't even that cheap. Save yourself time and money and a cringing palate. Go to any one of the many local Chinese restaurants around Palo Alto. Won't ever be returning. Wouldn't be surprised if the place shuts down soon as they barely had customers on a Friday night.
