Good chicken strip dinner for the Monday night special for $3.99.

After living in Cincinnati for a year, I realized I haven't had fried catfish in a long time. The Texas Oklahoma fish to eat. This place not only managed to survive covid-19, it set up a fast drive through system. The dining room is not opened yet but I showed up during a drive through lunch rush about 12 cars deep. I ordered a catfish lunch special and some chicken strips on the side. I had my meal within 18 min from pulling into this long line. I had to wait for the chicken strips but everything was hot and ready. The sides were still for dine in. Had to pull over in Detroit to eat my sides but yes it was everything I remembered and more. Great service.

Excellent comfort food. Not necessarily a diet friendly environment (they have salads) but this place is about how good it tastes, great service is great, and a nice ambiance inside.

This is the 2nd time I have eaten their recently. The fish used to be great. Now I don't believe in is catfish. I have been eating fried catfish since I was small a small child and I know what catfish looks and tastes like and what they are serving as catfish is not catfish. Won't go back ever.

By far the best fish place in Paris. Went there last night for our family of 5. Paid 43.00 and got enough for lunch today. Only thing I didn't get was my shrimp🙁 That has been the only mistake they have made the whole time we have been going there. Would have went back but we live almost to Oklahoma. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fresh Cajun fish sandwich with 🍟 and a drink makes a really good to go meal better than any fast joint around

we went through the drive through on a sunday afternoon. they were super busy but the line was moving very briskly AND the food (as always) was spectacular. you can tell that it was homemade. the fish is always SO GOOOOOOOOOD! i mean, just PERFECTLY seasoned and fried. very good quality!!!!! will always stop there

Great place to have lunch. The fish, shrimp or chicken is really good. The baked potatoes are amazing and the hush puppies are super.

I always get to-go and it is so quick, even if there's a line. Our order has never been messed up, staff is always so cheerful! Prices are really good! Other seafood places are to expensive and their food isn't great either. CATFISH KING is the true king of catfish! And, another plus, it doesn't matter what time of day you go, the food and staff are always the best! They're reliable in products, service, and quality of food! Great place to go!

Stopped by for fish on a Thursday evening to pick up and take home. Filets were thick and delicious with the perfect amount of batter. Ordered 12 hush puppies and finished them off as a snack on the way home....good sized, fresh, and flavorful.

Had a very pleasant experience here AND the food was excellent. Tried their tomato relish and Randy fell in love with it! The locals were super friendly and chatted us both up as much as long as we persisted! The fish is so good! Good portion size and affordable pricing. The beans taste like they have cooked all day. Yum. Service has always been good here. Clean restrooms which is a big deal to me.

We love this place. Most of the fast food places in Paris are horrible. The service wt most is so bad and the food is always horrible. But at least there's catfish king. The family pack of catfish is enough for my wife my son and I to eat dinner and have left overs for lunch. Its always very good and for the most part their service is great.

This is a place I would go to every day of I lived closer. Today, I drove 6 hrs from my house before stopping here. This restaurant is the best by far in the region, when it comes to catfish, that I have found.( Lamar, Grayson, Fannin, and Collin Counties) If you haven't tried them and you like catfish, this is your place. Try the Super Catch, it has sides and plenty of fish to share. The red beans and rice and hush puppies are so very good, too.

Great food, great experience, the person at the register was so nice and it took 3 minutes for my food to be ready and it was delicious.

I have been going here for years. It is not the cheapest place, but it is 100% worth every penny. The food is delicious. From the shrimp and catfish, to the hushpuppies, beans, and slaw. I havent tried the chicken fried steak or chicken, but i dont doubt they are delicious as well. They have some of the best sweet tea. The seating is very casual. Tables and chairs. Very wheelchair and walker accessible entrance to seating(Personally tested). Though i dont remember if the restroom is all that accessible, i havent been in there is quite a while. Many people with walkers use it, so it must be ok for them at least. If you go at lunch time especially on sunday when the church crowd lets out, be prepared to wait awhile. Even in the drivethrough. It has a line as long as chikfila. You will be waiting a while. Beware the drivethrough curbs, they will get you if you are not real careful. I love this place. We eat there whenever we can. Also, when trying to get in and out of the parking lot to/from the road, its like playing frogger.

To be fair I’ve loved Catfish King since I was a kid so I may be biased, but when a place serves the same great tasting fish, shrimp and sides for over 40 years it probably deserves to be rated high. For a fast food service catfish joint you won’t find better. The food was great, as always, the service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect! Give it a try!

Pretty much any location you go to will be high quality. The seafood is always fresh and you can order home style food like potatoes or chicken fried steak. They do not have a salad bar like some locations do and the salad is already pre made in a container. That doesn't mean it's bad though and it may have been changed due to pandemic. The lobby IS OPEN for dine in and the service is exceptional! The drive thru line is always really long but it moves fairly quick. I recommend taking your family here for a quality meal.

Love the catfish meal. Good sweet tea. Service was fast and friendly. I keep forgetting cheese is not an option for the baked potato since I haven't been here in awhile.

Food has gotten expensive (1.25 per shrimp, tea 3. 25), lady in drive thru was rude, food was good.

I would say Catfish King is fast casual. Most orders are, made to order, and you can see them in the kitchen tossing fish in batter. They have a nice group of people serving. Their hours are a little weird since covid so drive thru only during the week, with the lobby only open on the weekends. (1/2024)

My family goes here often and is usually great food and service as well as clean. However as school has started up drive through has been our way of ordering the last 2 times. Both times going through drive through our orders were wrong. So i recommend going inside to eat.

The catfish was adequate with a few pieces being, shall we say, dense, however the fried shrimp was an excellent, crisp delight! The coleslaw was fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of sweetness. The only problem with the fries is that there was too few of them. Lol

This is a great place to eat, the reason for the 4 star is because they load you up with carb choices. I am diabetic and cannot have baked potatoes, rice french fries, corn pones or bread they serve. I get the baked fish and salad (they finally brought it back 1/2 way anyway) but I still have to pay full price for half the meal. So we quit going. The waitresses are awesome though. I wish they would add green beans or broccoli as a choice.

1st time and the Food I ordered was fresh and delicious ! Went through drive thru and service was helpful, friendly, fast and recd exactly what I ordered plus silverware and condiments! Catfish was not fishy or greasy. Neither were any of the sides or the shrimp I added onto my order... Would recommend and will diff be a returning customer.

Best catfish in Paris, hands down. The chicken breast meal is an excellent chicken fried chicken.

I love coming here for the chicken fried chicken or chicken filet. It's the second best in town but the best price. I've never been disappointed.

Always a great place to eat. I was concern this morning at 11 when going through the drive thru. The workers were not prepared as usual. I was watching as I was waiting on my food and observed that nothing was prepared, like sacks, money drawer, silverware, condiments. You need to be prepared.

First time going to this location. I went thru the drive thru. The lady that took my order was really nice. I received my food in a timely manner. It was hot, and there was plenty of fish and shrimp. They definitely don't skimp on their portions.

Catfish King is good as always, we get take out and rarely is it messed up. I wish they had more sides though. But the fish is really good. The planks are smaller ones, not like the ones at Windys or Arlwnes, but most people under 32 may have never heard of those places. But catfish king is one that's f the best places to eat catfish I know of so far since we just moved to Paris from Honey Grove. To tell the truth they're our favorite cause no other fast food places in Paris taste the same as others we've eaten at all over Texas. There are some lazy fast food workers. Not at Catfish King, They're awsome. Don't go there to get chicken and not get the fish. You won't know what you're. Missing. I could eat it every day

It was good. I haven't had catfish king for a few years. (The local one closed) The family and I were in town and decided to try it here in Paris. It was definitely worth it. The chicken at the front counter kinda grossed us out by grabbing our cups (on the inside with her fingers) She gave us new ones once my wife mentioned this. I couldn't ask for more food for the money though, it was a great deal. I had the Cajun fish, it was great.

Always a good time at Catfish King! Not many places you can get a big and tasty meal, friendly service all at a very reasonable price this day and age. We will be back!!

The baked fish is on point. The fried catfish is a bit on the salty side for me. Customer service up to speed. They are always looking for hire.

We ate lunch there May 2nd, 2025. Food was great, I had the catfish, shrimp and oysters and my wife had the catfish. Service was great, it was busy. My only complaint was that the serving size for the beans was kinda small.

There good unless u have a big order at drive thru ordered the special catch which comes with 5 to 7 pieces they gave me the regular catch ordered Cajun beans for my other 2 orders got regular beans one game with salad they asked me what dressing replied ranch they didn't even give me a salad at all soo other than that it's good food but for almost 50.00 I would think it be close to worth it

I love this place; I love their fish! I only have one complaint and that is the very small cups they give you if you order water, and if you ask for a larger cup for your drink, they charge for it as if you ordered soda or tea. I would have given it 5 stars but only gave 3 stars for this reason. I always get water and usually have to get up myself and sometimes stand in line just to get another cup of water. If they want to give you such a small cup, they should have to be responsible for refills as needed

We have always enjoyed eating at catfish king in Paris & the food was always good but today was not that good. We ordered 2 regular catches order onion rings, & a kids catfish meal. The onion rings was served to us burned crisp I took those back & they cooked more & they were good but the hush puppies were also burned & hard brought more but they were the same hard & they had changed the hushpuppies not the same as they have always served & even the fish was definately not the same as we've gotten many times before the beans were not good either & they have always had the best beans, not tonight ,so needless to say these meals tonight wasn't enjoyed at all.

Some food was room temperature and the chicken was hot and juicy. I would say when you do order from this place just double check the quality of the freshness because the french fries and hush puppies and shrimp felt like it sat out too long while they're waiting for the chicken to get cooked

Girls are not very polite. Portions are a little small. The "specials" seem to keep going up in price. Food taste OK. We need a Long John Silver or Captain D's in Paris, since Catfish King has very little competition here.

I told them the price was not right. It cost me 27.00 for 2 special catches and 2 complimentary waters. I asked if they charged me for the water. He said no. He didnt know why he said, must be since got baked potato I said $5 extra! I asked for ketchup and lemon and sour cream. i said are sure got all and repeated. The long blonde headed guy said yes Guess what. Saw receipt charged me 2.14 each for small waters, "complimentary" And no ketchup. I guess for awhile now, all drive thru except on weekend. Sad How can i explain atmosphere wasnt none

I hate this restaurant personally, I don't get the hype. The food is mediocre at best and they didn't devein the shrimp my sister ordered, in other words they left the poopy organs in the shrimp and that's disgusting. The tables are never clean, everything looks generally dirty. It's just awful, don't eat here

So these people are NUTS at this place. You can’t get tomato relish to enjoy with your meal unless you buy a pint or a quart !!🤬🤬 And NONE comes with your meal like it used to . And it was dry evidently they don’t use peanut oil to fry like others do.

I only went through the drive thru on my way to the casino so I got my order and didn't bother to check it despite waiting too long for them to find some butter for my hush puppies. Which turned out to be a pointless wait considering we got the wrong order and no hush puppies. Was really looking forward to some Cajun fish but didn't get that either. Disappointed

I've never been so disrespected in my life. You charged me for the price of 3 meals but I only received 2. Oh , and when I called back the manager told me that 2 meals cost $20. When I asked for the corporate phone number she told me that she's the manager and there's no need to call the corporate office. Very unprofessional to have the drive thru worker walk off when I'm asking questions. Paris, Tx needs to do better, and yeah where's my receipt

This place rocks in the bad way! The tables weren't clean when we sat down, there were no available lids, and it's remarkably close to the outside temperature! (95°F at time of review.) The food is lackluster to say the least, I wouldn't believe the people who say it's crazy good, they likely just enjoy the familiar taste or something better than sonic 💀. The coleslaw was overly sweet and my shrimp weren't deveined at all. I wouldn't got here. Plenty of other decent restaurants that aren't fast food, but still clean and actually taste good.

Hello, Today I went to the Paris, Texas location to have dinner with a friend. I ordered a super catch with a baked potato and a salad. When the meal came there was no baked potato or coleslaw and I had fries. I told the young lady that brought the food that I had ordered a baked potato and not fries. She said ok she would let them know. So some time past. She then returned and told me since it was no showing on the receipt that I would have to pay the difference. That was when I asked to speak to the manager on duty. Theresa came to the table after the first young lady came back and told us she was busy and she would be out. Keep in mind my meal is getting cold and I am getting more and more disappointed in the restaurant. Its more the point of customer care here than anything else. Finally she came out and told me I would have to pay the difference. She did not seam a bit concerned that I was upset with what happened at this point or how much time had pasted. I told her never mind that it would be my last time in to dine here. I told her thank you and she walked off. The thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was her sending a bake potato out to me shortly after she got back to the kitchen. I told the lady that brought it out to the table just take it back it was too late now my meal was cold. My friend ate a couple of pieces of his meal and I ate one of mine then we left. Basically a wasted $31.77. It ruined what I thought was going to be a very nice meal since we had not been there in a long time because its hard to catch the lobby open to dine in. So in closing I hope this lets someone know that A little over a buck is not worth loosing a customer when the employee at the register made the mistake.

Would not recommend this restaurant. The food is good. The customer service is horrible. I order two fish and chicken meals ask for extra tarter sauce and got three packets. Spoke with the owner and was told that only one packer per meal is enough and everybody asks for extra tarter sauce. The owners do not care about the customers only about lining there pockets.

The wife and I got a gift card from the children tired of things to eat at home we decided to go get David Beards catfish with our gift card. After going threw drive threw and bringing our selection home we opened up our order only to find for the second time this year we were cut short our potatoes. Picking up the telephone I called and asked a gentleman who answered ..Are you out of potatoes? His answer..Let me see. Then said,No we have them. Explaining to him we weren't given any and this was twice it had happened he gave the telephone to another person. A woman who I told the story to a second time. In a kind of stearn tone I was told just come back and we will give you some. I told her I live in Reno would you like to bring some out here? Knowing this was not going to happen she said in a smirk We don't deliver. Well I knew that,but would sure liked to have had an apology after driving about 7 mile there & 7 back just to find my order not complete. But I guess they don't teach these snobs any courtesy any more or how to react to customers. December 24/ 22 very disappointed.

I always order same thing catfish and popcorn shrimp and shrimp has always been small but lately awful so small disappointment told cashier I want to order frys cause shrimp is pitiful ill never order their shrimp again

Food is great, but your inside needs work. Get your stuff together MANAGEMENT. The employees are how you get the place to run. Run them off, you have no restaurant. You may want to be a bit kinder.

Don't know about the food this time, because man that took order wanted to charge for an extra meal that we didn't order, then when told the order was wrong, he told us to leave that he hadn't gotten it wrong and that he wasn't going to change the order. Very rude in the drive thru and incompetent at taking orders. Wouldn't have given 1 star but to rate them at all I had to give them 1 that they don't deserve.

Horrible service! went in had a big to go order paying seperate and was told from now on if I was gonna do a big order to pay for it with one payment method, or don't do it at all who says that?? Especially to a big order like that, they weren't even busy it was 10:30 in the morning.. it just rubbed me the wrong way

The food it's self is good but my problem is with the rudeness of some of the employees. Particularly the manager Theresa. Smartmouth , Arrogant just plain rude the attitude I seen her give the customer in front of me was sickening. Hopefully the employees that work under her don't get treated as bad as she does the customer. The lady that she treated like crap told her I'm a regular customer here but not any more . I wonder how many other customers CK has lost due to this women or employees?????
