Opinions de Blue Bottle Coffee Park Avenue South
The New Orleans Coffee was tremendous. I'm not a big coffee person but this is one cup of coffee I'd go out of my way for and get again. Happy I stumbled in!
Loved the modern atmosphere and the latte was delicious. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops that we visited while in NYC. I'd go back!
Very cool location and great for meetings. Usually quite busy.
Great for an afternoon coffee or hot chocolate. Fairly busy but quiet - as in people working, on their phones. A nice spot.
Great coffee, always consistent, nice staff, and a lot of spaced out seating indoors.
Dropped by for the first time - cappuccino was great. Hoping it’s not gonna go downhill from here, as the place gets known and popular.
Cool little coffee shop. Great coffee and cool environment. Trendy and hipster!
Nicest staff ever! They have very strong and good tasting coffee along with some amazing pastries. I raved about this place when i found it in san francisco and i was pumped to see it here too. Beautiful interior as well.
VEGANS REJOICE, OAT MILK IS THE DEFAULT HERE (see: no upcharge)!! Relaxing and open minimalist space, outdoor seating options, creative lattes (iced black cardamom, for example!), and super efficient, helpful, and welcoming staff! My only complaint is that there are NO OUTLETS, so make sure your devices are fully charged if you want to get some work done!
Best cold brew Ive had in a while. Love that they offer two sizes. Shouts to Daniel for being super knowledgable about the source and process of the coffee I was drinking.
This coffee is elite and worth how expensive it is.
Among my favorite coffees in NY. With so many options for a cup, how do you choose? Blue Bottle takes care to ensure all offerings are perfectly crafted and the atmosphere bright and airy.
Really enjoyed the ambience of this cafe! Clean bathroom, friendly staff, quality matcha. I like that the oat milk is default and doesn’t cost extra.
One of my favorite coffee shops in the city. Blue Bottle hands down has some of the best single origin coffees. On top of that, their staff - Daniel, Aaron, Patrick, and everyone else - are so fun and friendly. Highly recommended! My only suggestion is to improve the WiFi. It gets quite slow at peak hours.
Blue Bottle is always a good choice, but this location in particular has kind baristas who make great coffee, and the music playlist is great for getting in the zone or hanging out!
Blue bottle uses freshly roasted single origin beans and blends that, combined with a pour over method, succeed in bringing out signature coffee flavor and aroma notes. A thoroughly enjoyable, high quality experience worth the premium price paid for it. Their pastries are, likewise excellent.
Delicious latte! Pleasantly earthy. Love how open this space is and how much seating there is. Also super appreciate how it’s nice and warm in here in the winter!!!! Thanks for excelling at all the reasons I’d want to stop at a cafe…delicious coffee, space to sit/work, and warmth!
Good lattes and a tasty lemon blueberry bread thing. I don’t know what it’s called and I don’t feel like walking back over to check. Recommend!
Finally, a place in Manhattan that serves a respectable drip coffee. I've been to about a dozen coffee shops here and all the coffee tasted like weakly brewed dirt. You can actually taste the coffee here.
One of the best coffees in Manhattan. I am used to European strong coffee without any sugar added and this coffee is exactly similar! Other coffee places is just weak and watered down coffee
I just want to say the NOLA cold foam is the most amazing drink I’ve had in my entire life. Please never get rid of it. The almond cookies are incredible too, so those need to stay forever as well. The foam is perfection and honestly I think they should add even more. This drink is my absolute favorite in all of New York City. Whoever created this deserves major credit because it turned me into a full Blue Bottle fan. Thank you!
A great place to pop in, plug in and do a little work while sipping a tasty hot chocolate on a cool day. It was an enjoyable respite during a hectic day, one to which I will return if I'm in the area again....
For me, this was the 2nd best matcha latte in NYC! Not too sweet(it’s a compliment!) and loved it! I’ve been to other blue bottles too and I always love their interior design. Very clean, warm, and spacious. My husband got hot chocolate and that was good as well. It was perfect for a cold and rainy day.
finally stopped in this Blue Bottle location after passing it so many times on Park Avenue South. the location is great—nice and airy interior for a trendy NYC coffee shop, which also has a few sidewalk seats outside. the decor is the standard minimalistic woody interior of most Blue Bottle locations + high ceilings. the interior is well-maintained and superclean. great spot to meet up with friends over some finely brewed coffee or just catch up on the internet and people watch on the weekends. probably my fave Blue Bottle currently. finally tried the Temescal Blend (current drip coffee offering). tasty coffee. smooth. sweet notes + fruit & herb tones with nice caffeine buzz. like i said, finely brewed coffee that tastes good—simple complexity in a cup. staff are cool. not very chatty bc the location tends to be busy throughout the day.
Wide open space plenty of seating and clean. I never heard of blue coffee before so decided to try it out (apparently there are actually a bunch floating around the city). The people here are polite and cheerful and very little wait time for my cappuccino. Atmosphere is nice enough to catch up with a friend or business associate over a nice espresso.
Good coffee and matcha, but a bit too loud to work and they had no sockets to charge the laptop.
Largest Blue Bottle I've been to. Free WiFi (although very slow at 1 up/1 down). Consistent oat latte with the other locations. Plenty of seating. Lots of folks working here on their laptops.
Consistently good Blue Bottle single origin pourover coffee. Pretty good banana bread. Rather stark cafe setting. Plenty of seats just nothing fancy.
Love the coffee and everything about this brand however the people who work at this location are very rude and made me very uncomfortable so I am taking away 1 star. Except for the girl barista she was super nice and made a very good drink.
Love the black cardamom coffee but at $12 with a small tip, it's crazy expensive.
The coffee just isn’t that exceptional. Beware they automatically use OATMILK. I’m just not a fan of the menu but I do see why others like it!
Coffee is always great at blue bottle. Surprisingly large cafe with plenty of seating for working, meetings etc. Service can be a bit slow however at times so be prepared to wait 5 to 12 mins.
i love their specialty coffees.
Blue Bottle has been in my espresso house rotation for quite a while, maybe before Nestle bought it back in 2017. I’ve been to a few locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan and I must say that the coffee is consistently really good. (hot espresso drinks). My only gripe is the super sanitary/cafeteria look. Soften the look and get more natural lighting in here. Other locations are similar like Williamsburg - argh. Some of the small locations are way better in aesthetics, but it appears the designers are drawn to high ceilings and plenty of echoes from such.
This blue bottle is one of the bigger locations with plenty of indoor seating (2 small tables outside). The regular tables are full of people working diligently on their laptops even on a Saturday afternoon, but the high top tables are generally open. The service is efficient and accurate. The bathroom needs a code and is kept clean and has all the amenities you'd hope it has😂 we like to come here about once a week and it's roughly the same each time in terms of how busy they are and how occupied the tables are. I really enjoy that they have a hojicha latte! And as a vegan, I like that they have the option of oat milk which they've recently made the default milk (to my boyfriend's dismay) but really wish they had soymilk too!
I tried the delicious iced sweet cream latte, a very good coffee with medium sweetness. I met with a friend and the cafe has good space as well as decent seating. It is still too expensive for my taste (I can't drink coffee in MHTN 😂) but for the place, it was a great spot to grab a cup of joe, escape the rain, and catch up with a friend.
You're probably better off finding a local coffee shop with a bit more ambiance but if you need to grab something and don't want to wait long then the coffee is still good.
Bright and spacious 👍 regular croissant was great, much to my liking, which is not too buttery and not too doughy. The matcha latte was average or below — was slightly too diluted, ie I could taste only a hint of matcha; perhaps the color was a giveaway. A better matcha latte would have elevated this experience to 5 ⭐️ for me. At 10:30 am it was quite crowded, but within 20 minutes it emptied out to a more comfortable level :) WiFi was very very slow — maybe because of the large crowd. I ended up using my phone as a hotspot.
06/26, 07/30, /22 Great coffee— the NOLA series is v unique And the pastries are surprisingly good as well— got a pain au chocolat and a plain croissant during a giveaway 🤭 and the croissants’ textures and butter smell are 👌 Big marble table and big window for working/ just chilling too!! Love it here
I’d recommend this coffee place really did not hate it, it’s slightly acidic but still very tasty :). There a chain without being to commercial or expensive
Pros: Great location, clean, beautifully minimal, spacious interior, interesting goodies on for sale. Though expensive, not outrageously priced compared to comparable shops. Cons: Person taking order didn't know what double espresso meant or how to charge for it. So she charged 2x single espresso. Fine. Unfortunately, what was served up was a normal shot espresso, even though the barista insisted it was double. It wasn't. Hot chocolate was bland, run of the mill flavor, and tasted watered down, though I appreciated the foam art. People make far better tasting chocolate using cheap ingredients at home.
Nice deco and atmosphere. Coffee itself over extracted, undrinkable. Double espresso had around 20ml. Staff was acting very strangely when being asked what is the origin region of their single origin coffee.
Surly staff - Coffee makes Starbucks look excellent ! Ordered flat white with extra shot which confused everyone! When served it was look warm at best! Requested extra splash of hot milk which they did deliver!
This company has taken a serious nose dive in quality. It is much more like a starbucks than ever. The espresso was burned & in a paper cup! As a barista trained at blue bottle, I'm appalled & disappointed
quite possibly the worst cafe wifi in all of manhattan, please join us in the 21st century
This coffee doesn’t worth $5.40 I bought a coffee second time here and both times the coffee was not hot enough, even it was cold. Nothing special but in reality it should be twice better than any Starbucks coffee. But not.
The service and the people working were great however the displayed food had fruit flies hovering on it and the cleanliness of the branch was below the standard. I’ve been to Blue Bottle in Cali for the first time in 2019 which I enjoyed very much but this visit has been a disappointment and changed my expectations of the coffee chain.
Don't get a cold matcha latte (it was $7). It tasted like watered down milk which was disgusting. It took them 10 seconds to make the drink and they spilled about 2 oz of it right infront of my eyes as they poured the drink into a cup. It was such a disappontment.
When I arrived in NYC, my first priority was to visit Blue Bottle. But since the baristas started giving me an attitude I need to search for a different coffee place, also the oat milk cappuccinos used to be much better as well.
No plugs… i guess cafes way of telling you “dont come here to work” Everyone sitting inside uses a single use cup (and actually everyone has double cups :( )… even if they have actual mugs…
Six bucks for a “cold brew” with three ice cubes in a hot coffee cup no thanks
Bad coffee, tastes like Starbucks. Left a bad flavor in my mouth. Also unfriendly service and way overpriced.
No power outlet at all to charge any of your devices
My recent visit to Blue Bottle left much to be desired. The place is nice, however, the experience quickly soured due to the staff's unwelcoming attitude. Coffee was good, but still, 1 star.
Rude staff, they guy looking at me up and down all nasty when i was just asking a quetion
Overpriced, snooty employees. $5.64 for a small coffee. Inflation yes, but give me a break. It wasn't a cappuccino or any other fancy drink. Just regular black coffee. And I thought Starbucks was overpriced.
9 $ matcha served with no energy and even the heart on the picture you can’t get it! There are several great place in New York to get lost in that place !
Took FOREVER - need more staff or stop taking mobile orders if you can’t support walk in orders. Coffee is great but not when it takes more than 20 minutes.
My recent visit to this coffee shop was marred by both the underwhelming coffee and the disheartening lack of coffee knowledge exhibited by the cashier. It was evident from the moment I approached the counter that the staff lacked the expertise one would expect in a place that prides itself on coffee. Upon perusing the menu, I was met with a confusing array of poorly explained options, and when I sought clarification from the cashier, they seemed baffled themselves. It became apparent that the staff had minimal understanding of the nuances of coffee, unable to provide guidance or recommendations based on flavor profiles or brewing methods. When my order arrived, the disappointment persisted. The coffee lacked the richness and complexity that one anticipates from a specialty coffee shop. It was a mediocre blend, poorly executed and served without any of the finesse that should accompany a premium cup. Adding to the frustration was the cashier's inability to answer basic questions about the coffee origins or brewing techniques. It left me questioning the establishment's commitment to the craft and wondering if the staff had received any meaningful training.
Funny how my favorite coffee can turn to my least favorite by the hand of one person. I went in Thursday, April 06 just before 8am and the women working made me feel like I was inconveniencing her and she was just plan rude. I got my coffee and left but this women isn't going to ruin my day! I just won't be coming back to your establishment. There are far too many delicious coffee places around and I don't have to go to this one.
I ordered drip coffee with 2% milk, I had to settle for a combination of whole and skim milk along with a slice of Lemon-poppy cake the total was $9.75. I started drinking my coffee a block away, the coffee was cold and the cake was stale. I would have gone back to the store but I was late for work I was so angry because I threw out $9.75 and mostly I wanted a good cup of coffee. This place is so over priced I will never go to any Blue Bottle again
I invested in a blue bottle set and bought all my equipment from here. This location is always out of filters. I asked if I could purchase just a few from behind the desk because I called the other location and they were out too. They wouldn't do this. So now I can't use my set for the nice coffee I just bought. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude and would not even consider just selling me 4-6 filters in meantime. I don't recommend this location or wasting your money on a blue bottle set because it's often hard to buy filters and they don't stock them. To top it off, I come to this location all the time which I’ll be unlikely to do ever again.
I’m very disappointed. I have ordered one cold brew coffee which should’ve cost me 5 dollars. I paid for the drink by a 100 dollar bill and the change received from the staff was 20 dollars off. I have double checked the balance in my wallet and I am sure that I am not mistaken because I haven’t used cash anywhere else on the day. It is partly my fault as well since I have not checked the amount of money before I left the store but this kind of thing shouldn’t have happened in the first place!!
I got here on Sunday afternoon to get coffee and the woman working there was so rushed and couldn’t care less about what she was doing. There wasn’t anyone in line other than myself! Also she filled the cup to the point where I couldn’t carry it because it would spill all over. And this location is so loud it’s like a small cave with high ceiling. If you are there with wrong crowds your ears will bleed. Coffee was bad as well. Worst blue bottle experience.
Nearly $8 for a 2 shot regular latte is straight robbery. Combine that with staff taking their sweet time while a line of people wait is salt in the wound.
Spend $10 on a single shakerato + tips only to receive the most mediocre service at a Blue Bottle by far. The aloof waitress didn't even bother to shake the "shakerato" and, when asked, she responded: "I don't have the shaker rn 🙄!!!" she didn't even add the right amount of coffee, my drink is pretty much just oat milk! never going back
Sorry to mention but Place smells mold or something else which is not pleasant. However as usual the cofee is the best. Owner may want to check the air ducts . Or seal the concrete floors.
This company is allergic to having good management. Rose was the greatest manager the baristas and guest could have ever asked for. They should hire her back immediately if they know what's good for them.
Waste of time, 8:30am and not many people but took more than 20 minutes to make a latte. Barista’s were barely doing making an effort, I was so late I had to leave before getting my coffee. Do yourself a favor, go to Starbucks 2 blocks down.
Disappointed by the Decline at Blue Bottle I’ve been a long-time admirer of Blue Bottle, especially in their early days when they were true pioneers of specialty coffee. That spirit feels long gone. This morning, I stopped by the Park Avenue location—my local shop near work—and was met with a surprisingly lackluster experience. The level of expertise and passion that once defined the Blue Bottle brand seems to have vanished. What was once a destination for coffee connoisseurs now feels like just another generic beverage chain. There was nothing about the visit that reflected the soul of specialty coffee. I asked the woman behind the counter if they had any naturally processed coffee beans. She didn’t know what that meant. A second employee came over, and I repeated my question. He replied, “Hmm, I’m not sure if we have any naturals,” and suggested I look online because they “have a lot of great information there.” That’s where the conversation ended—I ended up browsing the shelves myself and bought a bag of their Three Africas blend, which was okay. But for a company that built its reputation on being a coffee authority, it’s disappointing to walk away with the feeling that they’ve stopped caring about the very product that made them special. The experience left me wondering: if the staff can’t speak knowledgeably about their beans, what’s the point of going to Blue Bottle at all?
