Opinions de Old Town Bar New York
An exceptional old school bar with great service and clean taps. One of my favorite places in Manhattan. When I see the poster of Al Smith on the wall it makes me imagine him hanging out in the back, it’s certainly old enough that he might have…
Had the best meal here whilst visiting NYC...and we've eaten a LOT! The decor remains the original and is absolutely beautiful. I broke my own rule and took photos like a proper tourist and they encouraged it instead of eye rolling which was lovely. The staff were the sweetest we've come across and really made our day. And the burgers were just perfect. Great portion sizes and at a really good price for New York! I have to say, all in all, that was my favourite place to date. I'd highly recommend you take a break from the hustle and bustle and stop in ❤️
This is my new favourite bar in New York!!! Met some old friends here. The atmosphere was brilliant and the service was fast and very friendly. We didn't book, but were looked after and got a booth real quick.
Drinks are strong. Bartender cute. Spuds fabulous.
Known as one of the city's most historic bars, this spot served up some of the best wings we've enjoyed in ages. The service was top-notch—friendly staff and quick with both drinks and food.
I have never felt more welcome in NYC. I highly recommend this bar.
Stopped into Old Town Bar for lunch on Thursday November 19th, in this never-ending Year of the Plague, 2020. I hadn't been to Old Town since January of this year, and hadn't been in the city itself since March. We wanted somewhere we could eat in, because it was cold. Besides even during the best of times, NYC probably has the nastiest sidewalk cafe experience in the western world. But Old Town delivered the goods. 1- Staff are masked - that they're polite and professional goes without saying 2- Booths and seating are spaced out appropriately 3- Beer is cold and good 4- Food is hot and excellent Overall it was a great experience, a way to feel "normal" again for a little while. Old Town Bar is a great lunch location during regular times, and at times like this it's highly recommended.
Great place, service was impeccable and our waitress was amazing!! Thanks, Y'all!!!
One of the oldest bars in Manhattan! You can literally feel the history when you step inside, but it's even better when you sip the amazing cocktails that they've been pumping out for decades! I really enjoyed the Christmas seasonal cocktails they had on the menu. All were very tasty!
A long over due review. I have been going to the Old Town off and on for about 40 years (it hurts to say that...lol) and it is good as ever. Stopped in on Sunday, had a "beverage" and the French Onion Soup. Outstanding is the only way to describe it, including the Staff and Service. A neighborhood bar (which are becoming rarer and rarer) with really good food. Thank You Old Town for still doing what you do and doing it well.
Wonderful atmosphere of an old college bar, with lots of darkened wood, dumbwaiters in heavy use, posters from old Catholic colleges, like Fordham college football. The food was terrific. Well made burgers and onion rings. Small selection of beer on top, but solid quality, tasty beer. Crowded, with a wait outside to get in. Apparently first come, first served, rather than reservations. We'll be back! 😄
Popped in here for a quick beer whilst we killed some time before flying home to the UK. Wish we had found it when we arrived 6 days before, although I fear we.would have been there every night. Really lovely old bar, fascinating history and decent food! Really hit the spot, and, in hindsight was nice that we (accidentally) left it to the last day! Will definitely go back when.next in NYC
While I didn’t eat here, the food looked solid. Having said that the place is perfect. Atmosphere is authentic and original….service matched ambiance. The urinals should be the standard, unfortunately in many cases design and materials have gotten worse over time. Booths are perfect too…
They have best wings in the city. 10/10. Will certainly singe your nose hairs.
As a regular at many historic bars in the North East and the City Old Town raises the bar with its cozy restaurant feel and high quality staff. In addition the menu is authentic, extremely high quality and wholesome which is a rarity amongst similar establishments, which either serve commercial substandard cuisine or abrasively priced hipster food.. A true asset to the City🗽
This bar is a true hidden gem — rich in history and full of character. The food was absolutely delicious, far beyond typical bar fare, and the service was top-tier: friendly, fast, and genuine. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, amazing eats, and a story to tell, this is it. Can’t wait to return!
This charming café is the perfect spot for breakfast or just hanging out with friends! The food and coffee are always wonderful, making it a delightful place to relax and enjoy the good vibes.
Always a fantastic time here but Marisa made it especially lovely. There was another server who was also phenomenal before named Kwets.
I'm usually super selective when it comes to food, but the chicken wings here are absolutely amazing! The bartenders are top-notch — friendly, attentive, and masters of their craft. They don’t even wait for you to ask; they keep your drinks coming like they’re reading your mind. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this bar to everyone I know.
absolutely adored this place. in town for a sad reason, and this spot gave us a warm, inviting dive bar-esque space to sit in a booth or at the big bar and sip an old fashioned, a well whiskey, and/or a guinness. an old spot, well-worn and creaky and wonderful in all the right ways.
Great burger, friendly staff, authentic 1890's interior. Step back in time for a pint.
This bar is always packed and lively. Was lucky to get a seat at the bar at 6 pm. Overall it is the classic bar/pub experience with several draft beers, cocktails and wine. I got some onion rings which were a lot better than I expected. They have a pretty typical menu with burgers, appetizers, some Irish dishes, etc. If you are looking for a table, see the person at the front of the bar, and be prepared to wait during prime hours.
Old Town Bar is a true NYC gem. The atmosphere is full of character and history, and the food is amazing. The juicy burgers, crispy wings, and classic comfort favorites done right. Friendly service and a cozy, timeless vibe make it a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!
We visited NYC to gear up for the bicentennial celebration of Lafayette’s return to America and were unexpectedly treated to lunch at the Tavern. What an incredible experience it was! The building itself, steeped in history, is absolutely stunning. The staff is warm, friendly, and well-informed, adding to the charm. The menu offers a wide variety of options, catering to all tastes—a big thumbs-up for that in such a historic setting! This is truly a must-visit destination.
My first Gramercy bar experience was here. It did not disappoint. Incredibly cool place with it's classic vibe and high ceilings. Great burger. Went here with a friend after a serious breakup. I look back on that hard day with fondness because of being with a good friend in a wonderful atmosphere.
A perfect pub experience. Once you walk through the doors, I realized I found something rare - an authentic NYC pub, unblemished and perfect. I had the Bison Burger, no cheese and all the other toppings with onion rings and a Guinness Stout. Maybe not the most adventurous, but it was the best burger I have had in New York, and the best onion rings I ever had ( I ordered an extra side!). Friendly, polite in the manner that exemplifies New York. A must visit - it is a hidden treasure!
Went here for the first time and the ambiance is unbeatable. The bartender, Brian, was so lovely and almost intuitive with whatever you wanted. I tried a new whiskey and it was perfect. Patrons are friendly and open and the conversation is lively. It makes one feel like they are most definitely at the fabulous, local bar. It somehow makes one appreciate even more the preservation of the bar (in style and heart). Women's bathroom is near the front door and upstairs. There are tables outside, so you can smoke there, if you like to smoke. There are many spots at the bar and tables. It appears that one can also have private events, as upstairs is another space that's pretty big. I think it would be a great place for an event! It was my first time, but I definitely plan to return. I am happy my friend introduced me to this iconic and welcoming bar. It is like a hug from New York (present and past). ⚜️
One of the oldest bars in New York. As soon as you walk in you can feel the history that has shaped it! Excellent cocktails.
Great wings and homemade blue cheese. Burger was tender but not best in city as claimed
Old Town Bar in the Flatiron area was a fantastic stop for food and drinks for a dive bar, and I’m really glad it was recommended to us. From the moment we walked in, the place had that classic New York bar feel—full of character, history, and energy. It was packed when we arrived, which is always a great sign, and despite how busy it was, we were able to grab seats at the bar pretty quickly. The drinks were fresh, well-made, and came out fast. The bartenders and staff were all super friendly and attentive, even with how crowded it was. They kept everything moving smoothly and made sure everyone was taken care of, which definitely added to the overall experience. The food was surprisingly great for bar food and exceeded expectations. We ordered the potato wedges from the specials menu, and they were incredible—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly filling enough to be a meal on their own. We also got the potato sticks (I forget the exact Irish name), and those were just as good. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and well-prepared, which isn’t always guaranteed at a busy bar. One of the coolest parts of the spot is the layout. There’s an upstairs seating area as well, which gives you more options depending on the vibe you’re going for. The entire place has a historic charm, and you can tell it’s been around for a long time in the best way possible. It feels authentic and not overly polished or modernized, which adds to its appeal. Overall, Old Town Bar is a great place to stop for drinks, solid bar food, and a lively atmosphere. Between the fast service, friendly staff, great food, and classic New York feel, it’s definitely a spot I’d recommend. I would absolutely come back anytime I’m in the Flatiron area and looking for a reliable, fun place to hang out.
This is a tough area of town to find a nice dive spot. This could be it. It has dive bar feel but not dive bar prices. Feels like putting on an old broken in shoe when you sidle up to the bar. The bartenders were top notch. I wish i could remember their names so I could shout them out as being top notch, polite friendly and on top of the customers. It was busy when we got there but we were able to sit at the bar. We had some whiskey’s some beers and and enjoyable convo with family we rarely see. The volume in the bar was loud enough to feel like you’re doing something, but quiet enough to converse. Food wasn’t bad, but nothing special honestly. I’m coming here for the vibes and staff. If we’re in this part of town again, we will definitely be coming back.
No venue is as old school as Old Town Bar. No TVs and no loud music just great drinks and great food. We visited during the great snowstorm of 2026 and in the middle of all the snow, we got outstanding wings and potato leek soup to go with our drinks. We went for dry wings with buffalo sauce on the side and they were so good we ordered two more portions. We also enjoyed the tenders but the wings were better. The chili was also yummy and we’ll be back with or without the snow.
Authentic vintage NYC pub. Good service. Good food and drinks. Nerdy fact...the urinal dates to 1910
Me and my best friend went for dinner and drinks at Old Town Bar where the Server Jennifer elevated our dining experience with excellence! We each ordered a Hugo spritz, I ordered a cheeseburger, my friend ordered a beyond burger and we also ordered a spinach dip. Jennifer’s service was well-paced, friendly and attentive and the next time I am at Old Town Bar I hope to be sat in Jennifer’s section! 5 stars for food, service and atmosphere!
I asked Gemini for an iconic venue for a Sunday drink and ended up here. It was an excellent choice and Ambrose the barman really looked after me and even suggested so cool places to check out in NY .
Stopped off for a couple of beers on the way back to the hotel. Great venue alongside a really nice barman who despite the busy pub, never left anyone without a drink in their hand. The type of places you don’t plan to go in but never forget.
OK this is a great bar, I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for one and was still there hours later talking. Sit at the end of the bar near the door and you'll meet some great people.
This place is a true New York gem. We stumbled upon it last year and we’ve been back several times since. The staff are so down to earth and welcoming, the beer is great, the guests are friendly. Haven’t tried the food yet but it always looks like great bar food. Love the dumb waiter system. We always have a magical experience. 100/10 and can’t wait to go back.
Not quite a dive bar, more like an old school spot that still looks and feels old school. Perfect spot for an unfussy beer and some food. I wouldn't say it needs renovations since that's the whole point.
We love this bar! A beautiful, ornate building with a warm , friemdly & helpful bartender, Brian A.! Drinks were delicious, Brian was very attentive, we stayed much longer than intended because we loved it! Mocktails Brian picked for me, so delicious! Thank you for a great time for us!
This was my first visit and I have to give it a perfect score because the staff and the food was amazing. The cheeseburger was top-notch, and the coleslaw was definitely in the top five I've ever had! Next time you're in New York, make sure you visit this iconic spot and top off your meal with a Manhattan!
When a place has been around since the 19th century is now both queer & vegan friendly, that says something! We enjoyed delicious local beer on tap and each person had the exact burger they wanted. The servers were attentive and kind - food came fast and was all made fresh. Definitely stop by here next time you’re near union square - or make it your destination activity.
We hosted a private happy hour in their upstairs space (around 35-40 people), which went PERFECTLY. I've hosted over 100 events throughout my career and can confidently tell you that they're stellar here from initial contact, booking, and coordination to actual day of execution. They're proactive and carry a solution/hospitality mindset. They had the space decorated beautifully (of the guests I saw arrive, they all immediately mentioned the decor and vibe was awesome). The food drinks, service during the event were flawless and effortless (for us). I'd do it again without hesitation.
I am very picky with bae foods but Chicken wings is really good here! The bar tenders are gold! They know how to interact and knows when you refill your drinks without asking you! Like keep it coming until we drop! They are the best bartenders! Give them a raise! 👏 I will definitely go back and recommend this bar!
It’s tucked away (for NYC, that is), so on a recommendation from someone back home in Australia, we sought out Old Town Bar. The atmosphere is great - it’s a really cute venue. We got martinis just because (they were good!), and then I saw the plates of wings and thought why not give it a go? The buffalo wings here are fantastic. Really tasty and reasonably priced. Loved this bar!

Great find! 2nd oldest bar in NYC, great service and the food is just as good. Wings are a and each one of us got a burger and would go back and do it again. W
Amazing lunch at The Old Town, came in early and were doubtful as the place was basically empty, no customers were there, so as we sat we thought, mmmm is this a good place if no one is here eating? …
We dropped in away from the storms and enjoyed a few drinks and some hot food. Nice hot food and cold beer with really friendly service

Great atmosphere, great bar-tending! We only had drinks here ( several), but a great traditional bar buzz. Got talking to a complete stranger for 2 hours!

Good food and beer choices but it's just too bright for me to give five stars. They have these little booths that are behind the bar that they only give to parties of 3 or more which seems silly if they're dead. Overall a good experience but they could iron out some kinks.
Super cool historic bar. The bathroom and dumbwaiter were really neat. The whole atmosphere and fixtures were impressive. The nachos were delicious. The fish sandwich was ok, I'd get something else next time. But service was super fast and we made our comedy reservations. Definitely worth a stop for a Guinness and a snack.
The place has a classic NY bar feel, super nice staff, warm, cosy atmosphere. The food is good but not great, portions were super small. I ordered one American hot dog and it could fit in the palm of my hand. Tasty but left me hungry, and for the price, ordering another one would make it a super expensive meal for the kind of meal it was. Still a nice place, but not for food
The old timey bar is crowded/packed full after work & weekends. Upstairs dining room may have space. Room’s not as nice. Nice spot for mid/late afternoon meet up when less crowded.
I went with friends to grab a beer while we cold down from the heat—super calm and old bar. As soon I opened the door, I felt I returned on time. Even the cash register was old and impressive. The women's bathroom is on the second floor. We didn't eat, so I don't know how the food is.
I like this bar best out of all the ones that claim to be one of the oldest in nyc. This one opened in 1892. It has the original vaulted tin ceilings, the massive urinals that date back to 1910, 55 ft long mahogany bar, an antique cash register that looks like it's from late 19th century. They even have these buttons at every counter for calling service back in the old days. Although those are not working anymore it adds to the whole back in time vibe. But ontop of all this history, it doesn't feel like a side show... The original touches just adds to the bar and what they do best ifls serve booze. It was just an enjoyable experience with old friends. If you're in the union sq area.. Stop by for a cold one... No fancy tablets for taking orders or generating bills here. Just the original bar with excellent booze.
My friend was craving buffalo wings after our long walk around Union Square and this place came up on the map. We decided to try it out. The wings did not disappoint. We ordered the large wings portion along with a baked potato to share and some light beers. It came with 16 wings, which was enough for a whole meal for the both of us. The wings had just the right amount of sauce and zing. They came with a blue cheese dressing and some celery sticks, which I liked to dip my wings in to take away the spice from time to time. We went for the light bottled beer choices they had, of which there were only 2. We weren't too thrilled about them, they tasted weak and watered down. The waitress was very friendly. Some notes to take, the female restroom is located on the second floor which also happens to be a private room for party reservations and there is a $20 minimum per card. They also have kids friendly items on the menu. Our bill came to about $38 before gratuities for a large portion of wings, a baked potato, and 2 beers. Overall, a good pit stop for a quick snack break.
Old-time bar with a nice chill vibe. Not a sports bar with TV's everywhere you look, so you kinda have to talk to people!
Very pretty bar with a cozy charm and nice staff. My beers and service were quick but don't order the fries, they came unseasoned and soggy.
Went in on Friday evening when everything was booked everywhere, luckily found this place which had availability for table of 4 in the dining room on 2nd floor. They didn't have much options for cocktail that evening or for some reason some were not available not sure. Got kamikaze shots for $10 each, but they weren't colored as usual, it was just vodka and lime. Also ordered a giant pretzel and fries. Both were okay. Average place overall.
Don’t go for the food, but everything else is grand. Nice historic bar, beautiful decor, and robust friendly atmosphere. It’s a place to grab a lively beer after work. Be prepared to stand as it gets packed quickly. There’s an upstairs, but it’s for restaurant dining only and, to be honest, you shouldn’t go to Old Town Bar for the food.
This is a great historic bar and vies for the title of one of the oldest bars in Manhattan. Not only is this place historically in tact with its original high ceilings, long bar, and the oldest dumbwaiter in the city, it was the site of the 1992 music video Jump Around by House of Pain and was in the 90s intro to the David Letterman Show. Those are the facts, as for the atmosphere, the patrons were friendly, but the bartender was smug and curt with zero personality, just the kind of person to chase business away.
Nice late night spot. Kitchen closes at 11:30pm. Buffalo wings were generous in portion but a little too spicy for our liking! It's otherwise pretty good. Key lime pie (Thursday special) was pretty nice. Overall great service though. Worth a stop by. P.S. People aren't kidding about large urinals 😂.
We wanted a simple, bar-food-style meal for our lunch and were so glad to find Old Town Bar after watching a movie at Regal. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious! I don’t remember the name of my sandwich but it was basically just a grilled ham and cheese (I requested the mustard on the side) and it was so perfect and exactly what I needed. The German Pretzel appetizer was huge and also absolutely delicious with both a stone-ground and a honey mustard on the side. The pricing is more than reasonable as well.
A random stop in before seeing Titanique nearby. Neat history, old New York vibe that feels real because it is. They were slammed, but the service was friendly and still fairly decent, considering again, they were slammed. We split a plain burger and cup of house chili. Verdict on chili - REALLY delicious. Was honestly shocked. From NEW YORK CITY?? Yep, and was even decently spicy! On to the burger - delicious flavor, clearly high-quality meat. But! We ordered medium, and at best, it came medium rare... but honestly, it was closer to rare. They were again slammed, and we were correct in thinking they wouldn't be back super quick to check on us... so we just ate it. My daughter moved aside one half of her bun because it was soaked through with "red juice," and she couldn't handle it. Again, we did both eat our meat, but it was much, much redder than we prefer. Because it was so clearly good meat, it was disappointing it wasn't cooked the way we preferred. Still, overall, I think this is a good place!

Warm, loud, old, dark classic bar. Good burgers. A good night out for drinks or burgers & beer. I had a cheeseburger ($19.50) and a draft beer ($9). Good service. Good value. We will return.

We were seated in a great booth and handed menus right away. However, there was a long wait before our server came by to take our drink order, even though they took an order immediately from the neighboring booth. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious, but we again faced a delay trying to get the server’s attention, as she seemed busy chatting with a regular at the bar. My husband enjoyed his burger, saying it was pretty good, but my vegetarian burger felt like a frozen veggie patty—it was oversized compared to the bun, which made it awkward to eat. The server eventually apologized, explaining she was handling the floor alone, so I imagine the service is usually much better. I’d come back for drinks, but there are plenty of other spots with better food in the area.
I have wanted to try out this one as it has been featured on multiple media articles here and there. The tradition-worn vibe of the bar certainly deserves appreciation. I mean, the beers there taste better in debt to the atmosphere the place offers. However, the service doesn't seem to keep up with its reputation. My friend--who is also serving at a restaurant himself--asked if he could check out a bottle of beer before his order and the waitress responded saying "Are you serious?" with an insulting tone and face to him. Since I can think of places with tradition and with great service simultaneously (McSorley's or Katz's came to my mind), our experience at this place is rather discouraging.
Walked in and sat at the bar then a waitress or bartender told us to sit in a different section and she would wait on us. We moved over and had to wait some time for her to wait on us. It was strange. The perogies were great and the Cobb salad was just okay. I would not order the salad again. Don't think I'll visit here again.
Had the Shepard pie special and potato appetizer served with some kind of horseradish dip with a pint of Guinness. Half the potatoes were crisp but not cooked through and the dip and pie had no taste at all. So nothing has changed since I was there in the late-1990s (except the prices).
Another bar near Union Square with old school vibes. This is the kind of place that has your classic beer menu and bar food. The staff was generally friendly and the place had good seating indoors and outdoors on the sidewalk. If you’re in the mood for a traditional pub experience, this is the place for you.
I've been passing this place now for years, finally stopped in for a late lunch. We, my son and I decided on this because it had Pierogies, Hotdogs and Liverwurst sandwich on the menu. Walked in an…
This spot was very busy. Tough to get a table or seat at the bar. Because of that I would say you really need to plan ahead if you wanted to go here and spend some time here. We ended up waiting arou…
Wasn't too impressed with the food and drink. Ordered a Guinness Zero - checked the date and saw it had "1/21" on the base of the can - to me that means it expired January 2021. Sent it back and th…
The location and decoration are nice but the front barman should review his posture. I politely asked to wait for a friend one of the tables and he said I could only wait if I purchased something straight ahead. I tried to explain I was to order when my friend arrived and he then told me Ieave the space. Very uncomfortable, specially considering it was mid afternoon and the space was empty
Been several times over the years but my last visit was a big disappointment. 1) the bar tender was coughing over drinks and blowing her nose (never washed her hands), 2) I handed the other bartender my credit card to pay and she somehow lost it turning 180 degrees to the register. She didn’t seem phased by the inconvenience and continued about her day. Not sure if they are trying to create a certain atmosphere but there poor experience.
waitress/host was racist and shouting at us. We didn't do anything other than translate to each other so everyone could understand. Do not go!
Overpriced starters. Soup was good but fish and chips were inedible. Fries were not much better.
Stopped by this afternoon to grab some beers and lunch. I asked the bartender if they were doing table service outside. He cheerfully replied, "Sure, take any seat anywhere you like," and gestured toward the outdoor seating. We went outside and took our seats. What happened next was the most bizarre interaction I have had with a waitress in my eight years living in the city. After about ten minutes the waitress approached our table. Before we could ask for menus or place our drink order she began chastising us for not following the bar's procedure. She commenced to give us a lengthy explanation about how she has a specific work flow, and that we must check in with the appropriate people in order to be served. As she rambled on about her process and how we failed to follow the rules, I am thinking to myself that this crazy person is about to throw us out. I interrupted her to let her know that we did check in with the bartender before we took our seats. She responded, "I checked with my colleague, and you did not." I am not a big fan of wait staff setting demands, accusing me of lying, and barking at me in front of other customers. As I stood to leave she smugly asked us if we wanted menus, and I said, "No, we are out of here." She shrugged her shoulders and smirked indicating that she couldn't care less whether we stayed or left. I almost feel bad for the poor review, but the bar was not busy at all at 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. She did not seem busy, harried, or stressed, and it seemed to me this is probably how she regulary interacts with customers and was not just simply having a bad day. Even if she had mistaken us for clueless tourists that is no way to treat customers. It's a shame we won't be returning to what we had hoped would be a cool neighborhood bar just steps away from our home. We'll stick with our other options in yhe future.
So rude the moment we walked in the hostess had a massive attitude like our presence annoyed her. We did enter with a sizeable group of people but we didn’t ask for a table or anything we just wanted drinks. We were also respectful when we let them know how many of us they were. The bar wasn’t even full it was 9pm. The bartender wasn’t any better specifically gave attitude to every person of color in our group. And kept eyeing them in an annoyed way.
Worst experience ever, made us feel intentionally uncomfortable every moment of the way. Every single staff member is passive aggressive, asked/demanded to know where we’re from, made us feel super uncomfortable. I’m not originally from NYC but am local now, so not sure what he meant. Avoid at all cost, for a historical bar MCSORLEY’S is amazing, has great service, and great beer!
This one waitress was so rude — her kind of people are the reason why kindness feels like a superpower these days. (I believe there are other reviews with similar context so I am not gonna bore with the silly conversation we had)
Was really disappointed and hurt last night.. walked in and was told by the guy up front to check in the back for a place to sit. We saw an open table and BEFORE sitting, my friend politely asked if we could sit there. I understand that they may have reserved tables, but the woman didn’t approach or greet us when we entered and that’s why we were asking permission first. Would have had no problem sitting at the bar if she would have respectfully said we needed to wait or the tables are unavailable. The host/server/rude woman immediately looked at us as if we didn’t belong (my friend is a person of color) and started questioning if we wanted food or drinks. I said I was ordering drinks my friend said she may order food too but wanted to see the menu first. Woman became even more agitated at us said that we were inconsistent and she doesn’t have time to deal with this. Started aggressively wiping down a table and muttering comments under her breath. Yes my friend DID speak up and matched her energy AFTER we were very polite. She then “kicked” us out as the regulars of the bar watched in humor. Felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Will not return or recommend this place to anyone :(
I’ve been to this bar a few times with coworkers and up until recently, I genuinely enjoyed it. The beer, wings, and overall atmosphere were great. Unfortunately, after my last visit, I won’t be returning and I’ll be warning others to steer clear as well. During my most recent visit, I urgently needed to use the restroom. I saw a male customer already in the men’s room, so I went in. Earlier, a woman had told me not to go in because there was a woman inside, but gave no real explanation. Apparently, it was the bartender’s girlfriend who was in there due to a medical issue, something he completely failed to communicate clearly. Despite me seeing someone else already using the bathroom, the bartender chose to single me out. He stormed in while I was midstream, shouted at me to stop using the restroom, then dragged me outside and aggressively confronted me. He was visibly agitated and frankly, he seemed drunk. He acted like he wanted to start a fight and spoke to me like I didn’t belong there. The other guy using the restroom was never approached or even acknowledged. The whole situation felt humiliating, discriminatory, and completely out of line. Is this a bar for the bartender’s friends or for paying customers? Because I sure didn’t feel like one. It’s disappointing. This place serves solid food and drinks, but no one deserves to be treated like that. I’m done with this bar.
