Just outstanding! The photos tell the story, everything was great: bone marrow, escargot, carpaccio, beef bourguignon, pasta with lobster, steak, salmon - and the desserts?!? Wow. Great wine list as well. The service was amazing, and it wasn’t just our great servers, it was the Somm, GM (thank you!) and everyone we encountered. And the place looks and feels great. A really great experience that shouldn’t be missed if you want great French in NYC.
We celebrated a birthday lunch at Boucherie Union Square before visiting Anne Frank, The Exhibition at the nearby Center for Jewish History. Our server, Gaudi, provided wonderful service with friendly and pleasant conversation, excellent recommendations, and a special birthday treat for my husband. I had French onion soup, with croutons and Gruyère and the Le Croque Madame with Jambon, Gruyère, egg, and petite salade, both delicious. My husband had the Beef Bourguignon, a Traditional French braised beef, with carrots, mushrooms, bacon, and pommes purée. After these delicious dishes, we enjoyed a special birthday treat as well as a Boucherie book with history, photos, and recipes! Thank you, Boucherie and Gaudi!
Most restaurants are expensive nowadays but this one I can actually say was worth it. The food, service, and atmosphere were just incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection and the french onion soup was divine. The staff was also so charming and attentive. Would definitely come back for special occasions, dates, or dinners with the family.
Loved my experience at Boucherie. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great wine list. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Erica (one of the managers) elevated our experience, highly knowledgeable about wine. Thank you for a great time. Can’t wait to go back!
I had such a good experience!! The drinks, the food and the server gave me the best vibes ever. Will definitely be back. Adrianne served us and her spirit and cheerfulness was just infectious. Thank you so much Adrianne for making my birthday so remarkable. 100% Recommend!
Boucherie is truly one of my favorite restaurants. Today I chose their Union Square location, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, the ambiance and atmosphere were beautiful, and the service, as always, was perfect.
Amazing atmosphere and ambience in this aesthetic place. Even though design of bar is breathtaking, the service from Adam took our attention. With professional service and hilarious chat. Thanks a lot for this experience.
The food was delicious! Highly recommended. Adrienne in particular was super nice and Kind❤️
We love coming here—it’s always consistently awesome! The food is top-notch, but what really makes the experience stand out is Adrianne, our waitress. She’s so personable and attentive, and she has this way of making birthday dinners feel super special. The whole meal just flows perfectly because she’s on top of everything, from drink refills to making sure the food is exactly right. The atmosphere is warm and lively, perfect for celebrating. Every time we visit, we leave feeling happy and well taken care of. Huge shoutout to Adrianne for making our night extra memorable—she’s honestly part of why we keep coming back.
I had one of the most wonderful dining experiences here. Rene, our server and bartender, was absolutely exceptional. He had vast knowledge of not only the menu, but the value of costumer experience, especially as someone who has worked in the industry for 10 years. We had a three course meal with two cocktails, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for a French bistro and the service from runners to bussers was nothing short of perfect. I would highly recommend. We can’t thank the staff and kitchen enough, xx.
One of the top French cuisine restaurants in NYC. Everything from decor to service is top tier! I’ve been going to all Boucheries in NYC for years and highly recommend all locations. I ordered the steak skewers from their Green hour/Happy hour along with a dirty martini. The steak was good, just wish there was one more skewer for the price, maybe an appetizer is better value. Martini was very good and service was 10/10 professional and attention to detail always.
I visited Boucherie for a business meeting and brought an important guest with me. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, our server Ben took great care of us throughout the entire meal. He was attentive, friendly, and always seemed to appear right when we needed something. His professionalism made the experience smooth and enjoyable, and my guest was equally impressed. Thank you, Ben, for the excellent service. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this location to others.
Food was absolutely delicious, the staff was outstanding, and the atmosphere was adorable! My partner and I ate here before a Broadway show this month, and their pre-theater menu did not disappoint. The prime steak frites were incredible — I actually ordered the Bavette en Persillade but was so glad my partner shared theirs because WOW! Our server, Sophia, was wonderful — so knowledgeable about the wines and menu options, and she made sure we were really well taken care of. Funny enough, I realized later that I had eaten at Boucherie (their other location) about four years ago with my sister (she reminded me when I told her about it!). I’m terrible with names, so I didn’t make the connection right away, but it was just as amazing back then. I even found a photo of my breakfast from that first visit. The food this time around was so good I forgot to take a picture before diving in! Truly such a charming spot — consistently excellent food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommend this place, especially before a show!
I wanted to treat my aunt to an amazing, fairly high end lunch as she is well traveled and highly intelligent. I made a reservation here and it was above my expectations. Food was amazing, fresh and well presented. Service top notch. Elena and Anais went above and beyond. They secured my luggage as I HAD A FLIGHT LATER IN THE DAY, they chose an amazing bottle of Sauv Blanc which we loved. Crème Brûlée top tier. Highly recommend. Thank you BOUCHERIE, special thanks to ELENA AND ANAIS for making a lunch that my aunt, will never forget.
I walked past this restaurant just on accident decided to have a drink at the bar where I met Michael and Adam their service was amazing. The ambience in here was Beautiful it was before five so no rush of a crowd for happy hour . Michael, I’m posting itThey made sure I was comfortable and didn’t wait too long to refill my drink if needed great conversation definitely Great Customer Service make sure you stop by soon. You see them.
We stopped for brunch on a nice Sunday morning. The ambience and feel in the restaurant transports you to Europe. Our server, Ben was amazing and helped us with good recommendations. The coffee was amazing. I had the eggs Norwegian which was rich and flavorful but didn’t leave me feeling heavy afterwards. My wife had “le croque madame” which was a very good sandwich as well. Definitely recommend considering this spot for a meal if you’re in the area. On my personal scale, it scores an 8/10.

Great oysters and bar service, clean restaurant and the food came fast. Our bartender was really nice and ensured we had a great experience.

On a cold winter night during the holiday season is the best time to visit. Especially in the evening. You must get the french onion soup.

Excellent atmosphere and service. Delicious French food, especially the steaks. Totally worth it for the overall experience.
First time here with a last minute reservation and could not recommend it more. Great atmosphere, great people, great food and great service. Make sure to check it out because it’s great French food
Typical expensive Manhattan experience. They tried their best but I was not that impressed. Steak was good but not great. Bread needs to be better. Salmon good. Seems very popular, place filled up quickly.
Amazing atmosphere and ambience, food is great even though it took a bit longer and both of our entrees came after 45-50minutes shortly after though without us requesting our mains came. Service was great all servers were extremely polite and hospitable, we were seated at a tiny table in front of the kitchen prep area which was non stable and wobbly , we requested to switch seats and we were placed on the booths which was way nicer, funny thing is that two more couples were placed there after us and also had to switch. I’d highly recommend management to remove that table as besides that’s dangerous is also not comfortable as the busser accidentally would bump onto the person sat which creates discomfort for the guest.
Pretty classic restaurant that everything will be nice for all kinds of occasions. We can for a friend’s birthday and servers professionally helped us celebrate. Dick leg was surprisingly delicious. It was a seasonal dish. The skin was crispy and the sides were flavored. My friend’s burger was ok. Desserts were classic. I would recommend the chocolate tart.
Lunch at Boucherie Union Square was absolutely lovely! The Boucherie burger was excellent—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Our server, Ben, was awesome—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The mimosas were spot on, and the asparagus was delicious. On top of all that, I just love the look and atmosphere of the restaurant.
The burger was great served medium. The fries were delicious too. Perfect serving size. I wish the pickle was thinly sliced to easily add to the burger though. I love creme brûlée so I was very disappointed when mine came out very poorly. The consistency was all wrong. Other than that, the atmosphere was great.

Service was a bit slow, Food was standard, not particularly good and pricey for what it is. French onion soup may have been the best thing we had out
I came here 3 years ago by myself and had an amazing dinner, however I recently brought my family and had a completely different experience. The food was just okay, and the service was TERRIBLE. My family and I did not feel welcomed at all during this past experience, our waiter had a horrible attitude and literally threw the menus on the table. He took forever to introduce himself, was not helpful when it came to questions we had, and would literally ignore us when we needed more water or drinks. There are nicer and better restaurants in the city to spend your money at.
I recently visited this restaurant with a friend and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the bread with spread butter was delicious, and the lager was really great. The atmosphere and servers were also very nice. However, I was disappointed with the orange duck I ordered. The meat was tough and chewy, and I couldn't even finish one piece of duck. The restaurant was kind enough to take it back to the kitchen, but I was already too discouraged to order another main course. Instead, we opted for the crème brûlée for dessert, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, while the service and ambiance were pleasant, my experience with the main course was not great. My friend tried to introduce me to French cuisine, but unfortunately, this particular restaurant did not leave a lasting impression.
The interior was plain and classic. There were many customers because it was the end of the year, and it was full of families and friends. The Rib-Eye Steak had a good texture and taste, but there was a lot of fat. The onion soup was sour and had a lot of burnt flavor. It was not a dish I would recommend. The boiled octopus dish was chewy and went well with the appropriate sauce. The crème brûlée was sweet, so it was a good choice for dessert. The ice cream with vanilla and chocolate syrup was also delicious. However, it was difficult to meet the manager in charge when ordering or requesting additional items. Also, I gave a 15% tip because I was not satisfied with the service, and I felt that the female manager's dissatisfaction was clearly revealed. It seems that customer service, which is not seen even in ordinary restaurants, not the best restaurants, needs improvement. Otherwise, they might have treated customers differently depending on race.
