Pennyville Station is awesome. I have been here multiple times. The food is always really good. Have been here for both dinner and brunch which I highly recommend the brunch. The food, service, and the atmosphere is all very good. You won’t be disappointed. Solid place to get some food.

Really great place to go and celebrate my birthday. Good variety of menu options. Fish, meat, and vegetarian choices. I really enjoyed the calamari for an appetizer, the Wagyu burger & lobster roll for entrées, and tiramisu for dessert. The drinks we got were great as well. Excellent service, very attentive.

The best. Decided to take kids out for sat nite dinner. Appetizer we had mussels with red sauce, they were amazing and gone in minutes, there were plenty they just ate them so fast! We also had the pot stickers, delicious! They had steak, sliders and I had the pork chop. We all brought home leftovers, there was so much food. Just fantastic, very friendly staff. Very clean restaurant and super cozy. I have to mention I really like the fact that the plates and bowls are all beautiful different colors and shapes. My son wanted the blue plate for his dining experience. So this place is entertaining as well. Thank you!

The food and experience at Pennyville was extraordinary. The steak was to die for and I would really recommend it to anyone looking for wonderful Saturday Night Dinner. The Burger was also very Juicy and had a well selected assortment of toppings. The waitress was very attentive and took care of any special requests we desired. I would recommend Pennyville Station to any of my friends looking for a High quality Dinner Superb Dining experience.

Highly recommend! John the bartender is a genius. He mixed us up an amazing “lavender mojito” and some fun shots. Definitely a great spot for catching up. Also the white fish is incredible!

Thos is my wife's one of the favourite restaurant.she choose this restaurant for our first Valentine's. It was an awesome date she saw the menu beforehand and she saw her favour sliders are back in the menu so she booked it for 2. As we arrived to the restaurant we were given a table and waiter was very polite and knowledgeable and had a good hand in customer service. She ordered her sliders without even seeing the menu and i had a flank steak (Medium) and it was amazing. Thank you again we will be back soon.

Absolutely! Phenomenal experience. Food is impeccable. Perfect place for really good dining in downtown Park ridge 10 out of 10. We'll come back.

Celebrated a friend's 50th bday here. The food was excellent and they let us decorate the back room and bring in balloons.

This place is pretty solid all around. The jalapeño chicken and whitefish tasted so flavorful. Pretty great Paloma cocktail as well. Comfortable classy place, going to try their happy hour special menu on next stop

The kung pao cauliflower was delicious. Their chopped chicken salad was stellar with a perfect mix of olives, cucumber, feta. My pork chop was good-a lot of food for the price. Service was very nice and accommodating.

I wish there were more options for dietary restrictions but the food I’ve gotten was good. It’s just hard as there are not many’s options for gluten free, dairy free. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Really cute vibes after the farmers market. Great for a family, or for brunch with the girls. Everything on the menu sounded great. I decided on the crab and corn chowder and it was great! Friendly service. Great experience for an out-of-towner.

We had an excellent experience at Pennyville Station while meeting up with friends for brunch! It was family friendly which was a major plus. The food was delicious, paired with a fun atmosphere!

sat at the bar. ordered the spinach artichoke dip because it said gluten free but the tortillas were fried in a fryer with gluten. so I had the dip on its own and it was still really good! had the salmon sandwich option with no bun and coleslaw. solid dinner!

Sat at the bar, the service was great! The bartender was very attentive, made great drinks, and made me feel welcomed. Service was so good I’ll definitely be returning.

Drinks were great, especially the pear martini. Octopus was fishy and lacking flavor which is a bummer bc I love grilled octopus. Eggplant caprese app was good. Service was great and so was the live music.

Encouraged by friends, I visited the restaurant. The cauliflower, which was highly recommended, turned out to be ok. Very good eggplant, but too much oil in the breading. The fried beets turned out to be a bit of a dud. Quite tasty kabob steak. Of course, the service was very nice and the place itself was nice. I recommend

I was going to start my review by mentioning how great the service was but there are so many reviews already saying the same thing. And it’s true. The service was great. The owners/management should feel lucky to have staff that are as good as they have. As for the food, it didn’t quite hit the mark. We started with raw oysters and they weren’t the freshest. Tuna tartare was next and it was ok. Our entrees were the whitefish which was pretty good and the glazed short ribs which were a miss sadly. The salted caramel gelato however was delicious. Overall a nice experience and would come again, certainly for the service and another try at the menu.

We walked to Pennyville for date night yesterday and sat outside for a great dining experience. I had the shrimps for appetizer and the pork chop for dinner. The food was the perfect temperature and very flavorful. It was also the perfect temperature for outdoor dining.

We liked the beets salad, the white fish and the salmon burger were really good. The Cajun shrimp spices were overwhelming so we didn’t care for it. Great music and vibe. The service was very good. We found street parking.

Food was incredible! Great option on a Sunday morning. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was attentive. Our only problem was having to send a drink back because the fruit used in it seemed to have soured and it was made anyway. Making the drink taste stale. A minor hiccup though..the drink was replaced and all was well!

Great food and service. Bottomless mimosas on Fridays and Saturdays definitely add a fun touch to brunch.

Came here on a unseasonably warm 65-degree day in Chicago March. They had outdoor seating, and an area of the bar, where they had giant windows opened to the outside. We opted to sit indoors, but still have the benefits of fresh air, minus the somewhat busy foot traffic and loud Metra outside. The place has a decent sized bar, and friendly staff. We shared a chicken sandwich, which was phenomenal. Washed it down with the house margarita. This guy, is a pro-salt on the rim guy, and this place did not disappoint. Margarita could have been bigger and stronger, but so can I.

Nice outside seating . We had a few items like shishito peppers , cauliflower appetizer, breakfast burrito, avocado sandwich. Loved the cauliflower appetizer, rest were ok. Service was quick .

Business meeting and we all got great options . Good service and good crabs legs !! And scallops it’s not an option on review ! But highly recommend!!!

Service here is great. The atmosphere is really cool. The bar has great drinks. We had a bacon blue point oyster special that was amazing.

Update #2 (October 2024): Service is good, I won’t even question that. Unfortunately, the menu is … different. First of all, many things from before are not on the menu anymore, and the ones are there- their prices can compare to downtown’s prices. :-( even though I am usually not paying attention to that, this time it was sooo obvious, that I had to notice it. We were there around 11 am, got a lunch menu, so, not many things you can order. I choose burger, which was good, but besides that, not many breakfast options. Not coming there soon, but will check in a while to see if anything has change because I use to like this place😞 Update #1: we went there recently again and have to say they have GREAT, GREAT GRILLED OCTOPUS and ribs! But octopus is delicious! Mmmm! Original review: Nice atmosphere, good cocktail (pineapple mojito) and good beers. Polite staff. In fact, in good company everything is fine :-)

Food was delicious. We love ordering from here. However, I ordered linguini WITHOUT tomatoes and I got it with only tomatoes and without anything else. Big bummer. Called the restaurant and asked to talk to the manager to just let them know and they said he was too busy and to just call doordash instead. Clearly not a doordash problem, but a kitchen problem. It was all still delicious, but just annoyed buy the situation.

Good typical American bar food nothing stand out. Fries, mashed potatoes, cream sauce that all. Pretty heavy from starter to dinner but quite tasty. Beers all can or bottle no draft. Great fast and friendly services.

This is a nice place for lunch, has a bar and grill atmosphere. I ordered the cauliflower tacos. Good flavors and the queso fresco was a nice addition on the top. We came here on a Saturday so the waiting for the food and drinks was pretty long. I wasn’t sure who our main server was because we had several people come up to us. Overall it was a nice experience.

The food here is good, but I can't justify eating here anymore with the price-to-portion ratio. Charging $19 for a salad consisting primarily of bagged lettuce is wild.

Mac and cheese is amazing but the burger lacks flavor, the house margaritas was the worst margarita I've ever had. Shortribs did not taste fresh. The service was poor. We had to ask another waitress to assist us because ours apparently was too busy to service our table. So disappointing especially since cost was approximately$50 per person for dinner and only 1 alcoholic beverage in the bunch. If I go back it will be to take my mac and cheese to go.

Disappointed with our first visit. Food was good, but service was lacking. Our server, Juan, seemed bothered when we asked for a clean serving plate since the one provided was dirty and food particles—no apology, just silence. After our meal, he walked away without offering dessert, and we had to flag him down. With only two other tables, we expected better. Came for the king crab, but they were out. Likely won’t return.

We ordered the beet salad with salmon and linguine with shrimp. The salmon was the tiniest piece imaginable. It was about 1"wide by 4½" long and only about ½" thick! And they charged an additional $8 dollars!! Not only was it overpriced, it was way overcooked, very salty and barely edible. See pictures The shrimp dish was way over priced. $26 for a take out bowl of mostly noodles, just 5 medium shrimp, a few pieces of tomato and undercooked broccoli. There was way too much pepper and salt. So very expensive shrimp and noodles. See pictures To add insult to injury they automatically added 3% for a credit card on top of $56 without asking how I would be paying. When I picked up the order I paid cash. They didn't have the correct change so they tried to round up in their favor! Way, way overpriced. We won't be patronizing Pennyville anymore!

A pretty disappointing meal. We came because my mom had come six months previously for lunch and thought it pretty good and reasonably priced. Clearly a lot has changed in six months. It took us a little over an hour to even get our food. A single water refill was provided during that time. Next, here comes our food. Cold as ice. We ordered the sliders, walleye, and cacio e pepe. How are you going to justify waiting an hour for food. That’s ice cold?! Next let’s talk about taste. I’ll start with the pasta: for the love of God skip it. The pasta was the wrong type of pasta for this dish. Anyone who has had this know it’s supposed to be a pretty cheesy pasta dish. This was watery over cooked noodles without a single discernible flavor. How do you have cacio e Pepe and I can count the amount it “Pepe” in the dish? WHERE IS THE FLAVOR? Topped with chicken. That was an extra six dollars. Unflavored. And dryer than the Sahara. It was inedible; had a few bites and I was simply appalled. See pics. Next is the walleye and the sliders. Looks very different from the walleye shown by another review 3 weeks ago. See pics. Single piece of mushy fish vs the two crispy pieces seen in other photos. Decent flavor but I don’t know if it had been sitting in a freezer for an hour before it was haphazardly dropped off to us, but it was ice cold. Hard to eat cold fish and meat. Difficult to even stomach to be frank. The garlic knots were ok. Skip the mushy and burnt Brussel sprouts that also somehow are flavorless. On top of it the service was pretty non existent. Our waitress originally told us we would be comped for the pasta but That turned out not to be the case no stead they did comp us for the appetizers. And we got a single rushed “sorry” as she tended to guests who probably got at least food that was some semblance of warm. Just disappointing. And to top it all off it cost thirty dollars like PER PERSON for a truly awful dining experience. Skip it and go literally to any other place; there’s several right next door to try.

Our experience at Pennyville Station was terrible from start to finish. We were sat and completely forgotten about—no server ever came to our table until we finally flagged someone down after 30 minutes. Even then, the service was inattentive and disinterested. When the food arrived, it was a huge disappointment. They somehow managed to burn something as simple as pancakes. For the price, the quality was shockingly mediocre. Throughout the meal, we had to ask for service three separate times, and no one ever offered an apology or any attempt to make things right. Between the bad food, the awful service, and the lack of accountability, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. We will not be returning.

Ordered walleye over a bed of risotto and instead received walleye over a bed of saucy peas, onions and mushrooms. Specifically asked when ordering if the meal was saucy and was told "no", not true on what was received To "recify" the order they brought a side of risotto and gave a free dessert. The meal was not good and we really don't eat sugar. They should have offered to remake the dinner and if giving something for free ask what our preference would be not to assume. Dinner was 160.00 for the two of us. We will not go back.
