Opinions de Randy's Donuts Pasadena
Driving thru from Texas and noticed this location and had to stop. Good variety of donuts. Very tasty. Wish we could come back again.
There’s a lot of donut places on Lake Ave but of course I gotta go to this one ;0) it’s the best and world famous!! The employees are so friendly and fun! I purchased half a dozen donuts for $18. Plenty of parking on Saturday morning in the back. Got the flavors: Apple Fritter, Bear Claw, Cinnamon Bun, Blueberry Ice Glaze, Matcha, and Red Velvet. So delicious!!!
Grand opening today in Pasadena. Finally the wait is over and we who live in San Gabriel Valley can now enjoy Randy’s Donuts just like the rest of LA. This is an institution in LA since 1962. But the wait is worth it. Right next to Mendocino Farm Sandwich shop on Lake Ave., Randy’s Donut officially opened its door for business. The line was long. We waited almost an hour to just get into the shop. It took another 15 minutes before we can order. With all the yummy flavors and varieties, we got two dozens for our friends and family. The most popular ones seem to be the cinnamon Crumb Cake, glaze Crondy and apple fritter as well as the simple raise glaze donut. Right now, there is $2 off for very dozen of donut purchase. For those of you just want try out Randy’s donuts, you can come for a free donut for everyone. So come early to get your donut. There are plenty of parkings in the back.
THIS IS AN UPDATE!: 5/17/2025 walked back into Randy's donuts on Lake Ave, in Pasadena to give this place a second go at. Took one of my Older lady friends back to a Financial advisor on Lake Ave. In Pasadena and looked across the street at the local businesses and remembered the first crack I have it last week and decided to go again. Gentleman behind the counter that helped me seemed a little skeptical of me? I guess cause I walked in wearing square black shades and a Raider's cap? At any rate slowly warmed up to recommending their Butter crumb raised round donut. Recommending after telling him I had a Chocolate Twist the first time, asking him what he recommended me trying? He also advised me to eating over a napkin or plate saying it would be kinda messy. And let me tell you what, if you like cinnamon sugar donuts? And you never had a Randy's Butter crumb raised donut?!! YOU'RE MISSING OUT!! That's all I have to say besides being a reviewer I enjoy a great donut in moderation. these donuts My goodness! and let me tell you, delicious! For each one may tell a different story,.judge for yourself and be a frequent participating visitor. So for record folks if you have never experienced a Butter crumb raised donut Randy's donut please do. Looks like I found Randy's Donuts my new home go to place for a donut when desired. For now this is Chuy Viramontes signing off from Alhambra,/San Gabriel where I call home, with Respect, representing the S.G.V. / SAN GABRIEL=SG1, Sneekis1 sneeking this one in. Orale
Great donut shop with a wide variety of classics and new trendy flavors. Perfect to satisfy my donut craving while traveling! The blueberry, devil’s food and crumb cake were all next-level good. Staff is very friendly and prioritize public health safety. Shop is best for grab-and-go (not a lot of seating).
The biggest selection of donuts I have ever seen. The donuts are assorted into price tiers, and every one I have tried so far has been great. There is a donut for everyone and I see people walking around with a Randy’s box of donuts all the time. When they first opened there was always a line because they are so famous.
After a long day and a frustrating start to the week, Calvin greeted us at Pasadena’s Randy’s Donuts outpost as family. Confession: Having lived in LA for four years, I never visited Randy’s! Calvin walked us through his favorites and treated us so kindly. If you stop by the Pasadena store, please ask for Calvin! The Texas donut is incredible… kinda like Texas. So are the sugar, the raised glazed AND every other donut … they all look fantastic. This is a great location on Lake and a super treat after a great dinner. Highly recommend!!!
I regret not coming to Randy’s until the end of my SoCal trip. They use Jones Coffee which is a local spot. I got a latte which was okay. The guy working recommended the butter crumb raised and said you can’t get it anywhere else. It was bomb. Next time I’m in SoCal, I’ll definitely be back to try their other donuts and get another butter crumb raised.
Donuts were good and I had the same Honey Wheat ones just like at the Inglewood CA lo-cal. The interior is small, basically space to line up choose and then leave out. Got busy quick early on a Saturday. Paid parking in front and a lot in back. We will be back.
Got a box of take-out donuts with some friends. Was a bit oily and sweet for my taste. They’re known for their croissant donuts, which were my favorite. The long fried ones and the jam/cream filled ones were decent too. Good for a quick pick-me-up.
Randys Donuts is an LA institution and the Pasadena location is no exception. The donuts are always made fresh daily and they have a friendly staff. Easy order pickup and free parking in back.

If you're in the mood for some truly out-of-this-world donuts, then Randy's Donuts is the place for you! This little shop in Pasadena is an absolute gem that will transport you to a world of sweet, sugary goodness. The donuts are light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. Whether you're in the mood for a classic glazed, fruity jelly-filled delight, or a decadent chocolate creation, Randy's Donuts has got you covered. A lot of other treats are available too like coffee. I can't recommend Randy's Donuts enough-- perfect for a solo treat, a fun date, or a family outing. So head on over to Pasadena and treat yourself to a donut... or two... or three...
I have decided to give Randy’s Donut a try after I saw a video of cars waiting in line to get donuts. Some of the donuts I ordered were maple glazed, chocolate glazed maple bacon, and raspberry filling donut. I am not a huge fan of donut and after trying Randy’s donuts I do not like them but I love them. Randy’s has the best, freshest and tasty donuts I’ve had. I would definitely order from Randy’s again. 😍 Definitely give it a try if you haven’t.
Service was nice. We came as a group in need of a late afternoon boost. The coffee was delicious and we all devoured our treats. There is a really nice space in the front to eat and people watch. We all left in a better mood afterwards.

I didn’t go to the original, but honestly — doesn’t matter. The Pasadena spot was great. The donuts are exactly what you want them to be: no gimmicks, just really good. The glazed was light and warm, the maple bar hit the spot, and the chocolate frosted was somehow better than I expected. There’s just nothing else like Randy’s. It’s simple, but done right. And that’s kind of the magic.
Same Great Donuts You Know and Love, Different Location. Don’t worry, these are the same donuts from the original Randys that we all know and love. New location is cute, definitely more modern look with seating outside. Definitely a somewhat gentrified version but, it saves me a 30 minute commute so I can’t be too upset. Donuts are amazing, coffee is classic. Would definitely recommend.
First time to Randy’s Donuts and they didn’t disappoint! Excellent selection of donuts, even my favorite cronut! The Bear Claw had a yummy apple filling, apple fritter was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfectly seasoned with cinnamon and chunks of apple. Blueberry was like a blueberry muffin. All were excellent and fresh. The coffee was good, nothing special but a good solid cup of coffee. The croissant breakfast sandwich was a little surprising with sun dried tomatoes. Friendly service, we had a nice conversation with our server. There was no line so we were served immediately. There is plenty of free parking in the back. It is very small inside, and basically only seating available out front.
I’m a plain glazed donut fan. Randy’s is so far the best I’ve had in So Cal. My all time favorites though are Stan’s in Sunnyvale and Shipley’s in Dallas. Give those a try if you’re in those areas. Since I don’t live in those other areas I go to Randy’s when I’m craving a solid glazed donut. My wife loves the glazed blueberry donut which is quite unique and one we haven’t seen elsewhere.
Love this newest donut store in Pasadena. Donuts are tiered; classic, deluxe, fancy and premium. The red velvet, maple bacon and matcha are family favorites.

RD is one of the popular donut shops in So Cal. This was my first time trying Randy’s and boy, they did not disappoint. I had a Glazed Raised donut and a Hot coffee. Both were good. Prices were fair. Overall, I had an okay experience.
Parking was tricky, and the building is under construction out front, so can only enter through the back, very small store. Friendly staff small line. Not very many donuts out, the ones they had were probably there all day, definitely weren't fresh. Kind of disappointed with this location. I've been to the original and never had a bad experience. I would not recommend this location or return unfortunately, also no where to sit

This is my second time coming to this location and the service is horrible. I walk in and no one is at the front. After some time a man comes down the stairs sees me and still stops mid staircase to continue having the conversation he was having with some at the top of the stairs. Donuts don’t look good in the glass as well. Last time I came, my coffee order was incorrect and the man making it had an attitude. Will never visit this location again.
No service completely ignored upon entering, the child man boy ignored my question about a order pickup and when asked about how along responded with a defiant attitude. I scratched the order and left will never return. The donuts looked tasty customer service with an attitude.
