This place is legit, super quick, super tasty and affordable. If you have not tried this place yet go for it! It’s one that you can add to your weekly rotation. We have started eating here way more often.

First time customers today. We went through the drive thru and ordered meals for 7 people and 6 drinks. They customized what we asked for and got the entire order correct! The employees were friendly and service was fast. The Burritos were delicious! 😋 The street tacos were amazing! I've never ordered so much food in the drive thru before and not had to pull around and wait. Awesome Job y'all! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I went through the drive thru and I was greeted by Andrew and I was blown away with his great customer service!! I was planning on just getting 8pc family meal but he convinced me on getting chips and queso.! Which this normally doesn’t happen but his customer service was that good!

I received a great customer service experience and received my food really fast. An employee named KB was very knowledgeable about the company and menu. Please give her a raise!

I pulled in and asked the employees to order me something spicy and delicious because I’ve never been there before. I live down the street and up and wanting to visit this place for sometime. The employees were super helpful and amazing and hooked me up with the most delicious burritos with salsa and chips. Everything was delicious! Employees were just awesome people! I had a great experience and I highly recommend! They are also very pet friendly but I love!!!

1-27-26: The chicken is to die for. It is my favorite grilled chicken place. The outside crispy and so full of spices and the inside is sooooo tender, juicy and finger licking good (sorry KFC for borrowing your old jingle).

Great chicken. The chicken is marinated for a while then grilled over a open fire which makes it taste so good. The chips are amazing hot with there cilantro dressing. One of the best fast food chicken places I have ever been to.

I come here almost 3 times a week . Today was just another day , I was having a bad day however when I got to the drive thru Mr Kevin turned it around. He was very friendly and just a great vive all together. Definitely turned my mood around. 🙂

We eat here at least once or twice a month and we love it. Their street tacos are a nice quick meal. The birria stuff they have right now is so stinking good that we have been coming like 3-4 times per month since they started that (it's sad that it is limited time). The green sauce has a little kick. The pico de Gallo/"red salsa" leaves quite a bit desired but the green makes up for it.

I ordered the half chicken with plantains and avocado salad and was so so so good! Only complain, they don’t have Coca-Cola products, highly recommend and will be my next to-go for home food away from home.

I came in and had questions about the app. I wanted to redeem some rewards that I had on my account that I was confused about. Cassidy, was an amazing sweet employee at the front and was extremely helpful. She has such a cheerful attitude and took the time and patience to help me. She was also training someone else in the process and they were shorthanded so I was so blessed that she was such a hard worker. She made sure to stock all items in The front salsa bar as well as replace the Horchata. I really saw her working hard and I Appreciate her. She’s an excellent employee and your establishment is blessed to have such a hard worker.

The cashier at the front attending me I believe her name was Fernanda was amazing and knew what she was doing. I really appreciated her patience and attentiveness when I didn’t know what I wanted. The chicken and rice I received were just as good as the customer service! So tasty and tender 😋😋 will definitely be coming back to this location.

The service here was awesome! I got an avocado bowl but didn’t know it would come with dark meat. I requested it be remade with white meat, due to bariatric surgery in a couple days. (Dark meat has a bit more fat ratio). They happily remade it for me and even added a bit more meat for me in the bowl. I was absolutely delighted with the service I was provided. Salsa bar was fresh and tasty! Place was clean and orderly. Just watch out for those Serrano peppers! They have a kick!! Thank you to the manager on duty! You made my experience A+!

Our family of 4 ate here and had a great experience! Wonderful customer service, great food! A couple of us had dietary restrictions but we were able to easily find things for each of us! We had the Chicken Avocado Burrito, Chicken Dinner, Creamy Chipotle Quesadilla and the Double Chicken Avocado Salad. Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend!

I had a speedy drive thru since it wasn't too busy at around 2pm. I got the 2 piece chicken meal with sides of rice and mashed potatoes which also came with the avocado sauce and warm 2 tortillas. The chicken was very juicy and had plenty of flavor. The rice was delicate and the mashed potatoes was delicious.

The food was amazing. The time to receive the food was long. It was delicious. I had to let them know what was missing on the salsa bar. Maybe they were understaffed tonight?

First time trying so I went with the Original Pollo Bowl combo because it looked like the most-bang-for-the-buck option at a mere $5 + theft (aka tax). The bowl contained grilled chicken, rice, pinto beans, onions, cilantro, and salsa. It was a substantial quantity of food for the price and quite tasty. Can't give it 5 stars, however, due to the stale chips and encountering a small fragment of bone in my bowl. I'll definitely be back and probably try some other menu items.

Great place, amazing food, and friendly staff. One of my favorite places to eat. Absolutely hate that I have to be there in person to order a family meal, since they won't let you call in an order.

Love this place. It's my comfort food when I just want to grab something yummy and eat at the house. Most of the time it's perfect but every once in awhile they forget to put part of my order in my bag. My recommendation is definitely put this place on your go to list, but check the bag b4 leaving. I ordered pick-up, and the food was good as usual, but they left cheese off my order. When I got there, the lady at the counter offered to make me another mexican hot chocolate since mine had lost its steam. The staff was friendly and the service was fast.

Once again, great customer service will take your business far. Not only is displaced too pricey but it's very small portion of food. That was a disappointment. But I have to admit there was two young ladies at the cash register very polite, great personality and if it was not for their service I honestly would have left once I saw the price.

Had the Caesars salad with chicken, very good, the food was very fresh.

You NEED to try this chicken!!! The chicken is grilled to perfection. It has a great char on the outside but stayes juicy and moist on the inside. It has a delicious citrus marinade that will blow your mind. Don't forget to ask for house salsa and avocado salsa. My way to eat this is pouring the house salsa on the chicken and pouring the avocado salsa on the beans and rice. This place is such a great value as well. They have a 10 piece family meal for $20 or a 14 piece meal for $25. It's more affordable than McDonald's and way healthier! I highly recommend this place. Great food and the staff is very friendly and well trained. The manager Many is doing a phenomenal job! Keep up the great work!😎👍👍

At first this was my go to for grilled chicken salads, however, over time it has somewhat declined in quality. The chicken is sometimes burnt and greens are wilted beyond the top on which the chicken is placed. The flauntas were not good at all, and found the way to the trash. Hoping they improve. I must say the staff is kind and the manager does her best to correct errors with my orders.

Food quality is good. Dining room needs someone to clean tables and spills on the floor. Same comments as before... Food quality is good but the floor had dropped debris which had been there quite a while and the handicap table was dirty.

Hit or miss sometimes youre gonna get burnt food sometimes its the best fastfood you can get . Idk how to put this in proper words go during busier times so stuff is freshly made so lunch right before dinner. Dont go in too early or too late. If you get an attitude at the order reception just dont bother.

Pearland location. Usually very good visit, but this time somewhat slow. Had to ask for remainder of order, three different items. No tea, sweet or unsweetened available! Trash cans very full, tables not wiped off. And floor was in dire need of sweeping. If I'm a manager here, a little more pride in my restaurant! The chicken was great as usual, beans good but a little cold, tortillas were good as well as salsa, potatoes, and nachos. Thank you!

We went Sunday night and most our food was good. One piece out of six was over cooked and burnt but the other five were delicious. Tortilla chips were old and stale but we didn’t come for chips. And we tried the cilantro lime cauliflower rice. That was horrible. I get it, trying new side items. Maybe try a quinoa rice with cilantro line. We’ll be back because the team members were very polite and professional.

I have gone 2x drive thru visits both times @ 5-5:30pm and they don’t have their chicken ready 1st time there was a 40 minute wait 😮 & yesterday 20 minute wait 🤦‍♀️! I asked when was the best time to avoid long wait times and they said just call before you come. The chicken is still good but this is a fast food restaurant that sell ONLY chicken there should be any reason for people to have to wait 40 minutes at rush hour times.

I like to eat the chicken from here and normally pretty good service and food. It’s happened a couple times that they’ve ran out of chicken…..? Your whole business is based on chicken how does one run out. Most recently that it happened I was told they were out of chicken then after a few questions from me they said they had chicken but was given a wait time of 25 minutes before the next batch would be ready and when I reluctantly agreed they came back and said it would actually be an hour. Not sure if this was a McDonalds ice cream machine kind of situation as it was later in the evening but it was rather odd. Other than this, the chicken is good when they have it.

I guess I got there before closing or something. I stopped yesterday just to get some chips and questions. It seemed like a simple thing. The queso was ice cold and not even filled up all the way. I had ordered the large and it was Mayne 3/4 of the way filled. I realize I have a microwave, but you kind of expect it to be hot. It wasn't. It was cold, luke warm if anything. I'm guessing they were cleaning up and just turned it off already. Maybe it's all they had left, no idea.

Ordered the shredded beef birria. The beef had a decent enough taste to it, not too seasoned not overly bland. I did add my own seasoning. It came with dipping sauce, it didn't have any flavor. It just tasted greasy, like I was eating oil. The spicy sauce that I added was A1, it had a ghost pepper taste going on. I didn't care for the beans or rice that was in it, was tasteless. Priced was decent, probably won't return but it was worth a try

They were great at first. Management dropped the ball over time. How do you order the same thing every time and not get the same thing every time? There are times when the the chicken is over cooked and small. Others when I order the salad that comes with the 3 course family meal and it's not the same salad that I got the time before when I ordered the same thing. Churros are hard and over cooked as well more than not. And of course the unfortunate times when all of the above happens at once. It's disappointing to say the least. This is all without mentioning the employees customer service.

Great food but the order takers and window workers lately have been very unprofessional. I've gone through about 4 times in the past 2 months about and lately the men that hold those positions will give off this uneasiness that makes for a dry awkward encounter even when you're simply in your vehicle. You shouldn't feel like maybe the service would be more bearable if you were to use the counter service. On one visit a male worker responded to an order request in an unprofessional manner that comes across rude. So far, I now feel like I have to drive an extra 28 minutes out or so (thats the eta for 12 miles to another location) just to get decent service. That should never happen.

They're getting worse over time. I used to enjoy their food. Today, I ordered an avocado burrito, but it didn't come with avocado. I asked them about it, and they then told me that they're out. Okay? Also, cilantro isn't served on the stem.

Since reopening I've gone about 3 times. Each time the girl taking my order has been not friendly. She doesn't greet me, barely says a word. At the window the guy wasn't friendly either. I said thank you when he handed me my order and he said nothing and closed the window. No one there has any manners. I probably won't go back for a while and hope they get new staff. The food was decent and thats why I gave 2 stars.

I usually don't post a review if it's not positive but decided to. The chicken was very old and dry. Food was horrible. Probably would have had a better experience if we had gotten fresh chicken. I gavebit 2 stats because the staff was polite and courteous.

Food quality was poor. Avocados were far from being ripe and had pit skin on them. My salad had very little protein with a few pieces of chicken and about 10 beans. Service was also poor. Every table was dirty. Most people just wiped the tables themselves. After getting the food, we were told that the kids chicken legs will be brought out to us because they were cooking. They never came, and I had to go ask for them.

Normally Pollo Loco serves great chicken, however on this dine-in visit on a Sunday afternoon, I ordered a double chicken avocado salad and the chicken was not good. It was dried up, and looked as if it had been sitting for a while. Some pieces werent edible as they were too hard. I would usually tell the Manager but on this day I kept quiet. They should know better than to serve a customer dried chicken bites, and should put more care into their reputation because I was once a loyal customer and now am not.

The restaurant was messy, the cashier wouldn’t acknowledge me or other people and someone forgot to check for mobile orders, so I had to wait for 20 minutes for them to prepare the food. No one apologized or acknowledged the mistake. They finally gave me my food and the soda was leaking all over the counter and my cup, overall just kind of a bad attitude. The food was well prepared and delicious. We did, however, ask for no onions on one item and got onions on it.

There is never anyone at the cashier area. We always have to wait 5-10 minutes at least to wait for someone to come take our order. (lunch times at least) Wanted to pass this into management as it seems you need another staff member working. Also, I think because whoever comes and finally takes our order is rushed, they get it wrong 90% of the time. We really enjoy the food, especially the pollo bowls and churros. Just yesterday we ordered our basic order and we were charged for completely different items that were $10+ more. We didn’t go get a refund because nobody was at the cashier area once again. There’s also a slight language barrier at times that makes it challenging. Overall great food, this location just needs more staff.

The staff was nice, but that’s about the only thing this place has going for it. I ordered a classic chicken burrito, and when I opened it up, it was basically a sad rice and bean pouch with two microscopic scraps of chicken—blink and you’d miss them. The taco was a soggy disaster, like it had been sitting around waiting to disappoint someone. This place has seriously gone downhill. For what I paid, I could’ve gotten a whole juicy rotisserie chicken from H-E-B and still had change left over. Do better, Pollo Loco—because this was just plain embarrassing.

This place sucks! First time to eat here and I ordered a bowl. If it wasn't bad enough that the chicken was extremely dry... to the point it was inedible... I kindly take it to the assistant manager which offered to make me amother one... the general manager didn't see me standing there when he asked about what was wrong with the bowl and he shook his head in disagreement and mumbled something. Sooo... I told him that in fact it was dried.. and that I saw him shaking his head... that he should try to eat that himself to see it was bad. He kept repeating I was getting a new one. Completely missing the fact that he should be all about service and QUALITY of the food. Absolutely has no personal skills and I'm not sure why he's the general manager. Poor attitude and the food was just not good. I'm definitely not returning and will let friends and family know not to waste a visit here. Also I forgot to mention the avocado was also inedible... all black and too hard to eat.

A far departure from where they started. Family visited on Tuesday 8.30.16, a free kids meal night. Employee who took our order had rung up and charged for both kids meals which took 5 minuted for the 2 Managers to acknowledge there was an issue. It took an additional 5 minutes to get one of them to refund my CC. After we finally received our food both my wife's and my own orders were incorrect. She was missing an item and mine had something I requested not to be on it. The dining room was filthy, the men's restroom smelled of urine and had paper towels overflowing from the trash. We more than likely will not be returning any time soon.

Ordered a shrimp avocado burrito and while it did contain some shrimp it was LOADED with chicken (which I don't like) I reread the online menu and it says one or the other not both. Which is what the menu at the store said. I contacted the business a week ago but haven't heard back. The shrimp tasted great but I will not be back.

Walked in and the cashier said ‘“ I can take your order sir”. Only problem is no chicken was ready. At 6 pm. She says it will be 45 minutes. This is my 3rd time here and twice it was a disaster. The chicken is awesome but it’s hit or miss and the crews are lazy and need adult supervision.

Chicken was dry. Wing was crispy. The primal place in Houston is way better. Unless someone straightens this place out, it's a no for me. I'm a big pollo Loco fan, just not this location

If you’re ok with eating mediocre chicken and not being able to contact the restaurant about items not received this is the place for you. I didn’t receive my drinks or sides from my Uber eats order. Typically I would think it’s the driver’s fault, but Pollo Loco seals their bags. I now have been calling for one hour with no one answering the phone. “Pollo Loco you get what we give you. ENJOY!” Should be their slogan

Used to love this place, but today was my last trip. Stopped in at 415pm for a 16 piece family meal. Shriveled chicken "jerky", lumpy multi-colored potatos, half-full side of coleslaw. If it hadnt been a 20 min drive I would have retuŕned to demand my money back. Never again.

I love the friendliness of the people, especially manager Yolanda and the other guy cant remember his name. I dont have much issues with eating here everything is usually cooked well. And if i have any issues the managers are very quick to help make it better or apologize. I have more issue with the company switching out the good corn for plain corn and removing my light creamy cilantro. But that isnt a reflection on the location its self. The salad is what keeps me coming back more than anything else. Would recommend. And if u have any real issues just speak to manager, they are super friendly. UPDATE: I took a star away because they closed without notice, says temporary but still unsure. Both me and mom have a free tostada and it expires tomorrow and the nearest location is 17 miles away and in houston which is to far for us. And now we don't know if they will even honor that free tostada when they re-open if they re-open. 10/2/2022 still closed went a week or 2 ago and it still says temporarily closed 10/27/2022 Update I gave them back their stars now that they reopened. Their food was as good as always. Wish The company its self would have responded to people comments of why were they closed. The manager there says that he cant respond to the google reviews which is dumb on the companies part. 8/72023 Update they aren't as good since management changes. One time they wouldn't give me cilantro when ive been going for years this time they gave me some but it wasn't great and barely gave me any and they always gave me extra cilantro to go on my salad. This time they put rice and beans when i asked for no beans and rice on the side. The shredded chicken quesadilla only had toppings in the center part and the 2 ends had so little i scrapped what i could and put it in the center piece. Its really disappointing because makes me and mom not wanna go here hardly anymore when this used to be our favorite place. Also seems like they've been giving less chicken than normal. 2/16/2024 Update they have been better and have reopened the self serve of the cilantro salsa etc which is nice. Used to be a pain the have to ask for it even tho last time it wasnt stocked it usually is. The chicken portion has been good. Update 9/25/25 probably won't be eating here ever again. Mom went to the bathroom to wash her hands and was washing her hands when she saw anem ployee leave the restroom without washing their hands. So disgusting. We hand bogo quesadilla which wasn't worth the money if u were to pay full price. One of them had barely any chicken or cheese at all. And im sad about the no washing hands because i wanted to come eat here next week and now thats not happening cant trust ppl if they dont wash their hands.

I went to this location last night around 9 pm. My fiancee and I ordered an original chicken bowl and the chicken nachos. The chicken on both the bowl and nachos was burnt to a crisp. It was so terrible. So we returned to the store and asked for a remake. They gave replaced our items. However, the beans on the new bowl were hard and the rice mushy. I will definitely not eating at this location anymore.

Worst experience ever! Would rate one star if I could. I got the quesadilla box and my meal better had meat in it. I asked for red salsa and she said she would put it in there but she never did. I also never got my guacamole and the whole thing was put into a clear plastic bag instead of the meal box. I don’t know is she’s new but someone needs to talk to the lady “Samantha” that is working there.

Ordered online only to get to the restaurant and have to beg to be acknowledged by the manager while she (katrina Martinez) was on her cell phone. Very rude. My food had not been made past the time noted its to be ready for pick up. I received my refund and my receipt was thrown at me, this manager could use some food service manager training. I will never come to this restaurant again with my family.

Very little chicken ever seems to be cooked and ready unless it is at a peak time like dinner or lunch. I wanted breast and wing. All they could offer was leg and thigh. NOT the first time for this. While eating in the dining room, they ran out of legs and thighs. Now all they could offer was breasts and wings. They had a lot of chickens on starting to cook that were to be ready at the dinner hour. A total 3 - 3 1/2 chickens already cooked. When you are a chicken restaurant, the only cardinal rule that you break is to be out if chicken!!! I understand about food cost and they don't want to waste chicken. However losing loyal customers costs you more than throwing chickens away.

Terrible experience. Ordered a 3 piece meal and chicken nachos. The order taker did not tell us that they didn’t have any cooked chicken ready. We had to wait over 25 minutes for the chicken. Meanwhile the nachos were ready in less than 10 minutes. They got cold and gross while waiting for the chicken to be ready. Spoke to the manager, and she blamed the order taker for not asking if there was any chicken ready. Manager did not apologize. Oh, and the entire time we were in the dining area, there was food all over the floor. None of the employees bothered to clean it up. If I owned this franchise and walked in to see that mess and then have the terrible dining experience, I would be very upset. No wonder they only received a ‘B’ on their latest inspection report. Pathetic.

For a place serving grilled chicken you think there would be more healthy side options sadly there is not an except for the broccoli the chicken and the sauces are extremely salty. I won't be back because I prefer food that tastes like what it is and not just tastes like salt. Minus two more stars for the stupid canned response that isn't relevant to my post. Obviously the answer is to carry more healthy sides and to quit using so much salt on your food! Have you read the nutritional information online for your restaurant?! The sodium numbers are out of this world no wonder everything tasted so damn salty! Will definitely not be back after reading that!! You don't have anything healthy turns out!

Ordered through Grubhub. I PAID for the 3 piece chicken (no 2 piece option). Only received 2 pieces. This has happened multiple times. Stop stealing money.

The containers being used for the the 4pc and two small sides absolutely suck. The small sides barely have anything in them. On top of that they add the coleslaw into the same hot container by the time I got home the coleslaw had already gone bad.
