This place has been around since my childhood. The food hasn't changed a whole lot which is a great thing. The combination plate has always been my favorite. The carnitas lunch special is pretty great too. Fajitas here aren't like most Tex-Mex places you are used to. There's not show of smoke or a cast iron plate, just Fajitas... The service has always been great. You see the regulars that come in and the servers are always a little cheeky but very good at what the do. Some of them have been there close to a decade. Unfortunately, another thing that hasn't changed much is the building. Though it's iconic with its hexagonal shape, the inside is beginning to look run down. The light fixtures old florescent lights... some rusted... some just missing with the wires hanging out of the ceiling. Overall, a great experience of Texas border food.

The chips and salsa was good. Salsa not very hot. Had to add little more salt in it. I order the chalupas. Not too bad. I would return to eat here. If they served margaritas. I would of gave them more stars. Overall pretty good food. And wait staff was very good too.

The waitress was really nice, it took a little while to get our food because the place was really busy, probably the church crowd, my burrito was spicy but everything else was good

We have been in Pecos for 2 years and would not eat here due to the reviews. The food was great. It's not spicy hot and it does have flavor. Their tacos come with cabbage! Not that yucky shredded lettuce everyone else uses. The building is old. It could really use some paint inside. But the waiter was wonderful and explained things to me. I ate outside my comfort zone and ordered grilled pork tacos. I will order those again. That pork was so tender. The tea could be just a bit sweeter and the booth seat that I sat it could be replaced but we will be back.

Ate there on 01/12/18. I ordered the beef fajita salad and it was pretty good - ample portion. I totally forgot to take a picture of it. They serve chips and salsa-see pics. Prices are fair- see pics of menu. My co-workers ordered the green enchilada plate and they tasted very good plus spicy. Restaurant was clean and not a lot of people at the time we went which was 12:35 pm.

Food was really good. But the place is dirty. Door to bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The bathroom itself was dingy. What really concerned me was one of the employees used restroom before me and when I went to wash my hands the sink was dry. I don't believe the employee washed her hands. Hopefully she was checking her make up or hair. All in all this was a disappointment. I won't be returning even though I liked the food.

Overall it was okay. Our waitress forgot about us for awhile, we had to bother another waitress for more drinks/chips and salsa because our food took awhile. But when my fajitas came out it was COLD! And with only ONE tortilla haha But i still ate it. It had great flavor, the pinto beans were on point. Chips and salsa were also good. The place was a little hot, they had a portable fan which made the place a little stuffy. But honestly not bad for a small town hole in the wall restaurant.

Everything about this place was good with one major exception. When I order a $16.00 chicken fried steak it really gets under my skin when I'm served a fried frozen soy patty with one small spoonful of mashed potatoes and a small serving of green beans. I most assuredly don't recommend and won't be back

I really wanted to like this restaurant because it's family run. But the food is not particularly authentic, and is swimming in grease. My brief glance into the kitchen (because the bathroom is located right next to it) impressed me even less. They are friendly, the prices are ok, and there is plenty of space for larger groups. In this part of the state, you get what you get. There's not a lot of choice.
