Alex and the crew at downtown steakhouse are amazing. The drinks are great! The meat is cooked to perfection and tasty as anything I’ve ever had. No need to drive 30/45 mins to experience a true Brazilian steakhouse experience. Just come here! Will definitely be back. Also right on division street which is closed to car traffic on the weekend nights so safe for the kids to hang outside and there’s live music!
Wasn't sure if this was what I wanted but extremely glad I came! Service was beyond what I expected. Was very attentive and accommodating. The rotisserie meats were astounding! Definitely going back before I leave Peekskill. A true gem in the city! Please do yourself a favor and stop by!
Absolutely floored by this Brazilian Steakhouse! My husband and i always search out Rodizio whenever we are somewhere new. This restaurant certainly did not disappoint!! The food was ahhhhmazing. The atmosphere cozy, the service super attentive and very friendly. We have been to many Rodizios and this one is definitely our new favorite. Go here if your in the area... actually go here even if your not , you won't be sorry !!!
We came here on a Thursday night for the rodizio dinner. Carlos took care of us the entire night and l. He was kind, thoughtful and very well educated about the differen cuts of meat. The food is delicious and all of the meats are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Sides- you must get the beet salad and pasta salad with ham ! We’ve had our fair share of rodizio meals and we think it beats Fogo de Chau and Rainhaus.
We visited about a week or so ago on a Wednesday night. I had the Salmon and my husband had the "Full Experience" option I believe it was. My son had the chicken tender with french fries from the kids menu. Overall, the food was amazing, the staff were very friendly, professional, and extremely attentive. The vibe is quiet and romantic but I saw that it seems they also have live music later at night. Perfect for a couples night out or a family dinner. 10/10 and would absolutely recommend.
We had an amazing experience. We took the Rodizio Brazilian dining experience and got a TON of great tasting meats with plenty of sides too. The staff was very kind and walked us through an introduction to great tequila tasting which was a first for us. Highly recommend it. The roasted pineapple for dessert was a great discovery as well.
What a great place the food was amazing. Also good drinks and great service. They explained how the courses were going to be served. Which keep coming, we got the eleven course meal. Which was amazing, The meats are top quality. Go to this Place hungry they don't rush you. So expect to be there for a while. It is worth the wait, cause everything is fresh. I can't wait to go back.
Good food and service. More on the pricey side but it’s expected from a steak house. Was a little disappointed that they were out of few drink options including cappuccino. But overall we had a really good experience and would recommend.
This place was awesome! Great unlimited meat option and service was stellar. Would recommend.
Excellent meats! All of them were great and a great value for what you get.
Had a fantastic meal here tonight. Every bite was delicious. The staff was super friendly and the owner, Alex, came out, introduced himself, and checked to make sure we were enjoying ourselves - which we were. We'll be going back soon, often, and introducing friends to this excellent dining experience.
Table of 4 and we had an awesome time! We did the all you can eat for $59 and margaritas. Everything was fresh and hot Drinks strong and worth the money. We got to sit outside on a friday during the live music. Which was quite nice. The sides where very tasty but oversides . Besides feel waist full of food i would say this restaurant is a BIG plus for peekskill and will be returning again.
The food and service here are both great! The waitstaff are very responsive to requests (and brought me the super rare steak that I love!) and are good at bringing a steady stream of meat to your table. The options are varied— and a special mention must be made for the pork sausage! I usually skip the sausage (saving maximum room for the steak haha) but I am very glad I tried this one! Great balance, very juicy, and so delicious! The red sangria is good—but strong! Highly recommend starting with a glass and not a pitcher for the table if you plan on driving home for your dinner. Next time I’ll try and save some room for dessert because the tartufo looked delicious!
My husband and I went last night. Everything was absolutely delicious. Most Rodizio places give very small portions but this place really kept the food coming! The meal was amazing and the margaritas were great. 10/10 would recommend.
Best Rodizio in town. Lightly seasoned, meat is moist and not chewy. Service is superb. Gabriela and Carlos (the chef) work together well in ensuring that customers are satisfied with food and service. It’s refreshing to see employees who truly care about the place they work for.
Food was really good. The small plate portions are perfect. Had the tostones with shrimp and guacamole with an entree of Picahna. Very tender cuts of steak and the chimichuri sauce had the right amount if spice. Arguably, one of the top 5 spots in Peeksill to eat. Everything on the menu is good and the waitresses are very nice!
AMAZING Brazilian barbecue!!! every cut of meat was cooked to perfection! Moist, juicy, flavorful! the salad bar was FULL of fresh options and everything was fantastic with the barbecue! Colin was bringing my wife and I the steaks out. Colin was so nice and genuine to us. He genuinely seems to love his craft and it shows in the quality of food and service he gave to us! Very sociable and out going guy ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ CUDOS TO COLIN! Gabriel greeted us at the door with a very positive attitude and sat us down at our table with a smile and proceeded to run us through the way the menu works to my wife and I. Gabriel was also very sociable and out going! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ CUDOS TO GABRIEL! I would like to mention My wife and received all this wonder food and service less than an hour before they closed which is often un heard of so thank you to everyone who got us in and out today absolutely wonderful restaurant! I took very few pictures as I was too busy indulging however the pictures I have are only the scratching the surface of what their menu has to offer!
Family outing. We all did the Rodizio service. We loved the plantains, beets, salads, and all the kinds of meat. We asked for chimichurri sauce and ajo white garlic sauce. We had two college athletes with us and it was a great way to make sure they were full. Very friendly, relaxed, and we just had fun. Lots and lots of laughter which always make for a great meal. We were relaxed and maybe the Brazilian soundtrack helped too. Love going to a place where we have a memorable experience.
oh. my. gosh. great food. great drinks. great dessert. and the folks on staff are so sweet and kind. def our new fave place. just booked brunch for sunday.
Delicious! I passed by a few times before entering, and I am very happy I stepped in! Second visit: Tried the rodizio. It was delicious. Lightly seasoned meats that brought out a fantastic flavor, excellent sides too. Although there are similarities do not expect Texas de brazil or Fogo de chao, these meats were in some ways better because at this time, they are made for your small group rather than a restaurant full of people. We did not even get through the full list of meats because we got full quickly on the delicious samplings that were brought out. Need to bring our appetite for sure next time. I did not get the caipirinha as I said I would, this time it was the margarita, very tasty! The sides "bar" was a little awkward since they currently need to bring it to you, but you know what, it worked for us. We tend to fill up on sides at other restaurants, but this method kept us satisfied and allowed us to get through a lot of meats. We had the charcuterie plate (Sausage slices, ham, cheeses, sweet gherkins and tomatoes), mashed potatoes (Creamy and awesome!), beets salad (Marinated beets with arugula and topped with a sweet vinegar reduction) and Ceasar salad (Amazing!). Loved that Caesar salad, it was romaine with generous housemade dressing; I would go there for that salad if I want a light lunch! Another great visit. This place has a good start, they just need more custom. Go visit! First visit: The staff is very friendly and answers questions without hesitation. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food was very tasty. The three of us were completely satisfied. Between us we had the Picanha, the churrasco mixto which is a plate of several different meats, and the salmon. The temperature of the meats were on point, the seasoning was good without taking over the flavor of the charcoal and the meat and the chimichurri was fantastic! Our sides were mixed veggies, rice and mashed potatoes, so I cannot speak to the plantains and tostones, but I intend to return to try them out! Although there were a lot of drink options, I dove into the red sangria, which was light and fruity, and very refreshing. Next visit I will grab the caipirinha! A great dining experience over all. I can see it being a great place to visit during the week, stopping by for a drink at the bar or even just grabbing churros and espresso. Local artists' artwork on the walls, the little display of the history of churrasco and a wall of Peekskill history are wonderful to peruse after dining. Thank you!
Amazing food, all the ingredients taste fresh and delicious. Honestly, I can go back and froward from the bronx to this restaurant because how good this food is. Recommended 10/10 everything was tasty!
We had an amazing experience, I ordered tostones with meat and it was great, especially the taste of the meat, very well seasoned, the service was super good. One of the best I've been
Stumbled upon this place by accident and I’m so glad we found this hidden gem! The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.
I'm speechless. The first time I ate at a Brazilian steakhouse was the night my daughter was born. She's 30 1/2. The second time in my life eating Brazilian was the worse experience ever. But finally, in pursuit of the experience I'd had the night my wife gave birth to our first daughter, I ate at Gauchos in Peekskill. Religious experience. I have no words. Utter perfection. Don't walk; run there.

Amazing food and service. My buddies and I got the Rodizio, option which was unlimited meat and sides for a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend to all.
Fantastic food! Friendly service! Beautiful decor! My family and I ate dinner here to celebrate my birthday. I found this restaurant by searching for a Brazilian steakhouse near my zip code. What a gem! I was able to make reservations using google as well. This was not only dinner, but a dining experience that exceeded my expectations. We chose to order what was on the back of their menu which was an all you eat meal costing $46 a person that included a 2 choices of sides per person and I think about 7 different meats that hand carved at your table side. We ordered house salad, rice, beans, mashed potatoes, plantains, pork rib, garlic steak, bacon wrapped chicken, chicken wings, top sirloin, flank steak, sausage, and had grilled pineapple with cinnamon for dessert! The food was very good and we will definitely be back! We didn’t take any pics of the food because we were busy enjoying it! Highly recommend!
Absolutely love this place...it has quickly become my favorite place to go. The service is amazing. The drinks are delicious. The food is incredible. The range of this place is great because you can have a quiet family dinner here some days and other days it can be a whole vibe with live music. I went recently for a nice bday dinner with my wife and son. Loved it so much I'm coming with family and friends in a big group for dinner again tomorrow. Highly recommend!!
This place is amazing! It’s rare for me to find a restaurant that I will eat at two day in a row. We ordered to go one day it was so good I knew eating in would be even better so I took some friends along. From the appetizer, drinks main course to dessert was all amazing. My 17 month old daughter enjoyed everything we ordered. I hope this place never changes so when I come back I can enjoy the food again. Keep doing what y’all are doing!! It is worth the price.
Just got home from Gaucho’s Brazilian Steakhouse. We went for my husbands birthday and we were so impressed. Anna and Carlos were our servers and they were awesome. The food was delicious! I can honestly say I’ve never had better guacamole or shrimp. The steak was also excellent. I had the classic margarita (2) and it was the best margarita in my 33 yrs in this country. Will definitely be going back BTW we got the cheesecake for desert and it was perfection!!

Had a really nice dinner with some friends. The food was great and the service was wonderful. The chef was super nice and adjusted portion size and frequency of the food from the rodizio so that we never felt overfilled. The only downside (and reason for the missing star) was that when we got the bill there was a service charge that was not considered tip. This was an extra charge for the rodizio since the chef came to the table to deliver food. I'm not particularly bothered by the end price, but rather the surprise charge. However, that fact withstanding, it was still a very enjoyable time and would be willing to go back. The picana was cooked perfectly
Came here for a Sunday dinner..quiet, not many customers, few at the bar. Portion sizes are quite big. Tapas are also very much shareable - we got the Picadita....meat is delish and perfect with chimichurri sauce. Two people got meat dishes and basically it was meat on a butchers block. Those 2 were quite content, but got to-go bags. Overall very tasty and well cooked. We happened to get dishes that were a bit carb heavy (fries, rice, etc), but there are fish options as well. And also salads. There is a small bar- variety of cocktails reasonably priced. They have a happy hour and entire restaurant is a cozy setting. Bolivar was out waiter, very polite, little quiet, but took good care of us. In the summer, looks like street gets closed off and there is an option for outdoor seating. They also have music at the end of the week...so my guess is it gets much more lively. For us it was perfect as we had a delicious, quiet and fun Sunday dinner. We will be back!!!

Excellent!!!! We will need to come back and try other items in the menu but what we ordered was just amazing and wayyyyy too much food for 2 people. Drinks were delicious too!!
The food wasn't really good but the drinks were. Our waitress had a hard time understanding what we wanted, it was a language barrier and my daughter saw a mouse 🐁.
Extremely slow service. Meat was dry and took forever. Wanted to order more drinks but waiter never came back. Had to get water from the cook. Might be good if you ordered a standard meal. Would not recommend the Rodizio.
So the food was great. And the servers were excellent. But our group came with 3x 12yr old girls and they charged us full price for them. And refused to honor their pricing. Was a little disappointed because everything else was wonderful.
We went on a Saturday arriving at 5pm on a reservation for 10 people. We were seated right away and we order maybe around 5:15p. We got 2 plates at 6pm and 7 more in the next 30 mins. On the menu it said some of the plates came with 4 plantains and they came with 3. When we tried to tell the waitress, the didn’t acknowledge us even tho she heard us since she brought them later. We tried to tell her we needed salad dressing for the salads but she ignored us. We had to call her again. One of the plates we ordered never came. So when we reminded her, she brought the wrong plate. I mean, the food was good- but the service was horrible.
Don’t often leave bad reviews, but hoping the owner sees this so they can improve. Leaving two stars instead of 1 because the servers were very sweet. Unfortunately, my food was horrendous. I’m not a picky eater, but nobody would have eaten this. I came for lunch and got a steak sandwich that was so fatty it was inedible. Chewy, couldn’t even cut into it, absolutely dripping in fat. I swallowed only a little bit and became instantly nauseous. Came with fries that were pale, greasy, and undercooked. Food like this should not be served to the public. Really disappointed.
Ordered the Churrasco Mixto for 2 on a very slow night- we were the only table there and took about 3 minutes before someone appeared to seat us. The meat had good flavor but was extremely dry. I liked the tostones and beer, but disappointed as we were expecting more from a “steakhouse”.

I was really excited to visit this spot as I have had good experiences with the eclectic offerings that Brazilian steakhouses are known for. The food here was mediocre. Dirty silverware and cups await unsuspecting diners at each table. There was an infestation of flies that continued to swarm me the moment I sat down to eat. They wouldn’t stop attacking me, clearly hungry and looking to dive headfirst into my meal. Now, I can be fair and say that the day was hot and they did have the door open…but this one star review is due to the response of the staff once I complained. Instead of attempting to rectify the situation or at least giving me a slight discount on the meal, they made excuses, almost gaslighting when I told them about my poor experience. I will not be coming back. Hopefully you and your family have a better experience than I did, but I am frankly unimpressed and disgusted by my time here.
I love Brazilian Steakhouses. Saw the reviews and was excited. The owner is a really nice guy and a nice small place. I was there for about an hour and the waiter didn't come over one single time after he gave my wife and I a soda. Nothing worse than a waiter who looks at your empty sodas and doesn't care. The food had no flavor at all, and the beef was well done when I asked for medium rare. And that was everytime the owner came with meat. The waiter treated us as if we weren't there and that was HORRIBLE. To make the dinner worse was there was about 3 or 4 salad bar options. The salad bar is very important in a Brazilian Steakhouse and there was basically potato salad, pasta salad and cold cuts. This ranks as the 2nd worst dining experience I've ever had. The meat had ZERO flavor. A plain chicken wing, a rib that didn't even have salt and pepper, and and every beef was overcooked and filled of FAT!! Take my word this place is Horrible. We took the leftovers we ate home and my dogs didn't even want it. I'm not lying. First time in my life I gave no tip. Friday night at dinner time with 4 other customers in the place.
Went there on a Monday, thinking it should be quiet, which is great for fast service. Drinks took over 20 minutes, and the best part about the night, they were out of steak; ALL STEAK.....at a steakhouse..... we tried twice, not coming back.
I went here today after being recommended. My friend and I both ordered the steak sandwich. The steak was so fatty and chewy and completely lacked flavor. We both ordered sodas and they never came. My friend also wanted her sandwich to be the better cut steak and no pickles and she didn’t receive the better steak and there was pickles. The fries were undercooked and super greasy. The server was completely inattentive even though there was only one other table seated. She didn’t come by at all to ask if we need anything and never brought over the check or asked if we wanted dessert.
My husband , daughter and I visited for an early dinner last night. We were the only table. The wait staff spoke very little English and had trouble taking our order. I had the flank steak sandwich, it was grey, tough with no flavor. The frys were limp. My husband's ribeye was Very rare w a refrigerator cold area of fat. The appetizer empanatas were swimming in grease. My daughter ordered a Cesear salad and it was very off tasting . And they charge 4% to use your credit card. None of our food looked like pictures people have posted. Bad experience.
Oily empanadas, too much sour mix in the margs, ketchup and mayo “aioli,” horrendous atmosphere, rude service. Never again.
When we came in it took forever to even be acknowledged. We finally ordered and although we were only waiting on a house salad after 45 minutes we gave up and left. They charged us over six dollars for two cans of diet coke even though we had ordered a full meal and wasted an entire hour (from being seated to walking out) and received nothing else. Never once from taking the order did anyone (touch) the table. No manager, no sorry your food will be out soon. Nothing. We had eaten there before when it was under a different name and they were terrific. Now we sat and watched the staff hanging out behind the bar looking at a cell phone. There appeared to be no manager on duty and the staff absolutely didn't care about the customers at all. It is so sad because my family previously loved the place. Last year the owner was so nice, the staff was attentive and pleasant, and the place was immaculately clean. Now no one bothered to check in on the table, the tables are so wobbly the soda cans get sea sick, the staff doesn't care at all, and the place is dirty. What a difference one year can make in the restaurant business. I wish there was something below a single star to pick for rating this place. Honestly we feel like they owe us money for wasting an hour of our time when we were famished and looking forward to a great meal.
SO DISAPPOINTED! As a Brazilian I couldn’t wait to eat from this restaurant. Unfortunately, with a hectic schedule, we decided to order out. The woman was excellent on the phone was able to explain everything and fall. But when we got our food. I guess the best words that come to mind were disgusted, disappointed, surprised, at the lack of effort! We ordered the sandwich both me and my partner requested a salad and obviously the sandwich comes with fries. Now we did call 45 minutes before closing and I did say hey are you guys still placing orders? If not we’re come tomorrow the young woman said of course we are. So I expected excellent service. My sandwich was drenched in God knows what we must’ve had about 10 french fries in a container absolutely no salad and me. I can’t complain about that but my partner can because his was loaded with Fat! I’ve heard nothing but great things about this restaurant and I’m really hoping that this is a one time fluke, but with the price that we paid and the quality of food that we got, I don’t know if I really want to actually spend my money on physically going into the restaurant. If you can’t put 100% in an every order especially takeout orders and maybe you need to have an earlier cut off time or tell your cook that no matter what time it is when an order comes in you have to put 100% in because the meals that were ordered last night sucked !!!
We came on Father’s Day and had a pretty terrible experience. It took well over an hour and a half to receive the kids food (we came with two kids under 5) and had to ask multiple times for our side dishes (some of which never came and we gave up). In the end, we were there approximately 4 hours. The table seated next to us bailed after waiting an hour and I wish we had done the same. The food was certainly not worth the wait. A really disappointing experience for a special meal. :(
We ventured to Gauchos last night before seeing a show at the Paramount. Here, Gauchos deserves only one star. The wait staff, although very nice, was incredibly inexperienced, not prepared for a crowd, and couldn’t make heads or tails of honestly anything that was going on. Drinks took 45mins-1 hour to come out. We ordered a Sprite, a Club Soda, Two Beers, an Old Fashion and an Espresso Martini. Unbelievable it took 45mins to an hour to come out. Had we not been going to the show at the Paramount, we would have left right then and there. In fact, we did see about 4 tables get up and leave for lack of service and attention. Sides were tastey, but the servers did not provide any utensils for the side dishes and didn’t provide napkins. When asked, we never received serving utensils, but did receive little cocktail napkins. Really? Cocktail napkins? When the rodizio came out, now about 1:30 from when we sat down, it was tasty, but the service was so slow that it felt like an eternity until the next meat came. This is quite a shame because the price for the rodizio experience was not Pennie’s, therefore, we definitely did not get our monies worth. Now, as noted above, we were there before the show at the Paramount. We had a reservation at 6 pm thinking it would be plenty of time for the 8:00 show. Nope! After experiencing the snail-like service, we asked for the check around 7:40. We asked for the check three times. Finally, enough was enough - we went to the bar and grabbed our check, paid and left. For a party of 6, 4 cocktails, a sprite and a club soda, the tab came out to $400 before tip. The atmosphere was nice, but thinking about this more today, it was the equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig. Honestly, we should have walked out after the drink situation and went to Whiskey River. Respectfully, we will not be returning to Gauchos any time soon. This just seems to be yet another failed Peekskill restaurant.
Disgusting 🤮 food! Will never set foot there ever again. Overly priced for food that has no flavor, and dry. Even the chips were disgusting as well. We spent $100. It hurt to waste that money down the drain. Don't go there! We spoke to Alex the owner. He was humble enough to accept our suggestions, but he didn't offer to give us anything off the menu or a discount. Service was good! The Colombian girl was very friendly.

Went here for a picture I seen online of a meat platter. It didn't look anything like the picture. Way over done, barley edible. Drinks are 3 dollars a warm can of soda. All in all its a 1 star restaurant.
This review is intentionally written to Brazilians. First of all: the front attendants girls were super friendly and willing to help but a little difficult to communicate due their english skills. Not a big deal but they only speak Spanish or so and no Portuguese at all (which i was expecting because of the name carrying “brazilian” in it) Anyways, we spent almost $100 and it sure didnt feel any worth for what we got. Ah, they also change almost $5 for a credit card fee or so, i think they should tell the customer in advance. We decided to get “Churrasco Mix” for 2, french fries side, plantain side, fried yucca side, empanadas (esperando que fosse ser pastel, ja que o lugar se auto titula brasileiro) and one Mango Smoothie. The Mango Smoothie was amazing, from frozen concentrate prob but it was good. The empanadas bread tasted okay but the cheese was of a very bad quality, it was almost liquid cheese with zero flavor, zero mesmo! The Churrasco was: two thin steaks(looking more like a pan steak than actual bbq steak, tasted fine), two half red sausages (i am not sure the reason that they were red but it tasted alright too), two pork ribs (alright but tasted burnt) two drumsticks (uncooked in the middle, no flavor) and two tiny cubed pieces of chicken breast wrapped in bacon (prob had flavor bc the bacon). The sides: -french fries were uncooked and unsalted, zero flavor! - fried yucca were well cooked and crunchy but zero flavor, unsalted. - sweet plantains were looking good but zero flavor, zero for sure, it was like eating something and feeling weird about the feeling of not having any flavor while eating so the brain gets confused idk, i would say that the same could apply for the yucca feeling in the mouth. Would we go back? Absolutely not but i am sure that there are who appreciates their unflavored food.
