I lived near Kowloon Bay in Hong Kong for 11 years. This is the best Chinese food I've had in this area. The quality and the fresh texture of it beats anything else. Especially the chow mein it's really to die for. I'm also very fond of the cashew chicken. The same family has run this place for a long time and I strongly recommend it. Much better than Panda Express or new Lim's Garden by a long run. Go ahead and check it out, I strongly recommend it.

Had an order of the Bean Curd Hunan Style (~$8): fried bean curd and black bean cooked Hunan style, i.e. with green bell pepper and bamboo shoots (served with rice, savory hot & sour soup, and egg roll when order as a Lunch Special). Food was delicious, staff was accommodative (with the dish order spicy & without MSG), and the ambiance was banquet-friendly. NOTE: Dietary concerns are best addressed by simply stating any limitations and/or direct inquiry regarding any particular considerations (e.g. vegetarian/vegan preparation).

This place is goated. It's the best Chinese in the area. You can taste the difference. It's definitely rocking msg vibes hard. That tastes like classic Asian dishes.

I have been here seveal times and it's always great. The service is very nice. The decor is a bit older and plain but the food is really good and big portions.

“Normally very predictable and consistent” Atmosphere was not up to a normal Ruth's Chris. Maintenance needed...such as duct tape covering an area of carpeting walking upstairs to the restaurant. It also just didn't seem as upscale as others I have visited. Food was typical Ruth's Chris but wife's filet was overdone and fries were mediocre.

The owners, Joann and Zoy are always there, their service is outstanding and the honey walnut prawns are to die for. Try them some time! Debbie and I are regulars, and for good reason.

Mostly great Chinese cuisine. Great prices, can make certain foods for order. I get dishes with no msg and no onions and they do a great job. Lunch specials are well priced.

Spring rolls are AMAZING! Got the Mongolian Beef lunch special and upgraded my fried rice to chowmein for a dollar extra. The food came out quickly, and piping hot. Everything was so fresh. I even ordered some spring rolls to-go. Definitely going back.

This place has been here for forever! The food has always been the same & it's always consistently good too. I'm not sure if they are a married couple or brother & sister but the 2 people who run this restaurant are great. Really good people.

When we are in the Concord area my friend who introduce me to this place her family of 6 and my family, have a feast, love love their egg rolls, they had the most tasty fried rice, great shrimp walnuts, Everything that I had was delicious. Too bad we don't have a good Chinese Restaurant in Dublin

Easily the best Chinese spot in the area. Do yourself a favor and try this place out the next time you want Chinese food. Also, the staff inside always have a great positive attitude when you go in to pick up your food.

I have family in Concord and pretty much every time I go to California, I eat here. The owners are friendly. The food is good. The food is fresh. The choices are plenty. The portions are adequate and the prices are reasonable. The owners remember our favorites and always ask me what took me so long to come back. Everything I look for when I eat out. When I eat at other Chinese restaurants, I feel guilty. It’s like home and I am very comfortable here for eat-in or take out.

Best sweet and sour pork EVER! They have very good food. I think most of their business is take out, so they don't put that much in to the dinning area. Not a romantic setting, but the food is amazing. The people that work there are fun.

FRESH FRESH & FRESH food. This has to be the best tasting Asian food in the east bat. The decor is simple and not a lot of seating but their take notes out is huge. I have been going here since they opened in the 80's! I just went in to order some food to go and while I waited they had person after person come for their take out order. The phone was ringing non stop for orders as well. It is a very quite place, don't worry the phone calls you will never hear. It's small and not a lot of seating, maybe six tables and one large table for 6-8. But this is by far the best and each order is cooked individually. No steam tables in the back room. English spoken well. History: it used to be a A&W drive-in. I took my ex wife there on our first date in 1978!

I miss living a block away from this place! Every time I come back to visit from out of state, I make a stop here. Best Chinese food! I've never ever had a negative experience. The food is always amazing and fresh! The staff is kind, and the service is quick. We would order a ton of different stuff as we were a house of 4 adults. We'd usually get the wonton soup, spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, peppered pork chops, and pork chow mein. Those spring rolls never made it to the house. I would eat them before I'd make it back.

A couple times a month for the last few months I've gotten hot and sour soup and spring rolls for takeout. Soup in summer. Yes, they're hot and sour soup is that good!

Best place to get to go food to, no delivery or dine in, only pick up. The staff is so friendly and attentive over the phone. My son, he is almost 2 years old, he is allergic to egg, I did not know what noodle dish he could have and they suggested the dry Shu Fun, now it is one of his favorite things to eat.

This place has be best Chinese food around. High quality, lots of options, large portions, and everything is very fresh. We eat here (take out) a lot. Inside is cute and funky as it was out A&W drive-in back in the 60's. The services is fast friendly. And they supply free egg rolls with our take-out. We always order 4-5 dishes plus soup so we can have enough leftovers for the next day. My favorite is any of their Chow Fun dishes, beef with string beans (so fresh) and you will not find a better hot and sour soup anywhere. My husband loves their house chow mien and the sweet & sour pork is his must. We noticed their prices have increased by quite a bit over the last year (pre-covid) but since we love this place and seldom eat out unless it's here, it's ok. Bottom Line: this place is the best.

I got an order of ginger beef, pot stickers, and chow mein to go. I have also dined in. The food is amazing. The ginger beef was soooo tender. Everyone is very friendly and the service is great. I highly recommend this Hunans for lunch or dinner.

There were 4 of us, and we decided on the "Menu D," which included Hot and Sour soup, pot stickers, spring rolls, 2 kinds of shrimp, orange chicken, broccoli beef, and noodles. Every dish was delicious, but the Hot and Sour Soup, the orange chicken, and the Walnut Shrimp were above and beyond our expectations. In spite of our hearty appetites, we left with a bag of leftovers. Next time I go there, I'm going to get walnut shrimp! The staff were delightful, with efficient service and friendly good humor. The setting was not elegant, but rather classic 1950's. As an additional bonus, the restroom was wonderfully clean. We will definitely return.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. We always get complimentary egg rolls. But moreover their food is amazing. Great gravy, fresh meat and outstanding potstickers. We’ve had all three of our grandchildren red egg parties there and everyone loved the food. So if you’re looking for a new Chinese place to try , you have to go there. You won’t be sorry.

There were 4 of us, and we decided on the "Menu D," which included Hot and Sour soup, pot stickers, spring rolls, 2 kinds of shrimp, orange chicken, broccoli beef, and noodles. Great Chinese food especially for the price. Doesn't look amazing but the food is. Plenty of parking, the food is flavorful and each dish is distinct and excellent. The right place to go if you go for the food not the ambiance.

So I'll start off by saying never trust Google reviews when it comes authenticity or taste of your cuisine. Just don't, when white people make up the majority of reviewers. That being said, service was stellar. Free spring roll and bowl of hot and sour soup, which were both nice overall. The rice was good, nothing special, but not bad either. Uhhh, looks like adventuring this time didn't pay off. Diced chicken and water chestnuts sounds alright as a concept but not when the chestnuts are as big as the chicken pieces. 🤢 Anyway, overall nice restaurant that could use a boost in the taste department.

The food is okay. Don't recommend getting the chicken because its dry. Would highly recommend going to the other Chinese place up the road.

I wasn't impressed, but we ate our dinner. We couldn't complain, meals were edible, they were so so. Clean, not crowded. Won't go back any time soon. It's edible, shouldn't be that $$$.

Egg rolls was the only thing that was decent. Rest of our order was very very mild in any flavor.

I use to love this place but the last 3 times I've ordered food, the chow mein was very very greasy. Some of the chicken in a couple chicken dishes were chewy hard pieces so I probably wont order from there anymore. It's not terrible, but definately not worth $40 for 3 items..

Ownership appears to have changed. Prices have gone up and food quality has gone way down. We used to get takeout from Hunan once a week, now we'll likely never return. Such a shame.

The pros are large portions, low prices and friendly staff. The cons are lack of detail in execution. We had three dishes. House chow mein with Crispy noodles, Mu Shu Pork and Beef Tomato Chow Fun. All three dishes had plenty of protein. They didn't skimp on the ingredients. The execution, however, was not done with care. For instance, the egg in the Mu Shu Pork was clumped together instead of being dispersed evenly throughout the dish. The beef on the chow fun seemed haphazardly cut and not uniform in size and also tended to be in one section of the dish. The sauce for the chow mein was a little on the salty side and a little bit on the thin/watery side Bottom line, it's a good buy if you're not too fussy about the food..

They slice the prawn, spread them like you would spread butterfly wings and pour over the batter. Aside from that the sauce was way too sweet. Also their steamed rice is of worse quality. I could't return it so I had to scrape off all the batter and eat it. I am not happy. Never try their other menu items if you have not tried before. Just stick to chow mein, and other common items like Kung pao beef, chicken with garlic sauce etc

We got here 40 minutes before closing, and evidently that it’s not long enough for us to eat here…… the first thing we were greeted with was we close at 8.30…. I said, so can we eat here and the reply was we close at 8.30

Poorly cooked food, full of fillers like wontons and potatoes in their soup. The guy at the counter was very passive aggressive on top of slow service. Thumbs down. Did I mention they overcharged?

We got off to a bad start when I had to tell her five different times I wanted pork spare ribs covered in black bean sauce over rice she could not comprehend that as it was being indicated toher in English.. I was served with no napkins no fork no soy sauce and I had to ask for a single hot sauce. I was told the price on the phone was $14.25 when I got there it suddenly became I got diarrhea after the first serving like a jet engine airplane was coming out my backside it was not a positive experience I shall never go back there and it's probably one of the worst places that I've eaten in all the Chinese food restaurants in my life and there's probably been about 75 of them worst service worst absolute communication and the food was absolutely dismal I've had better spare ribs and black bean sauce over rice at a buffet... Ordered takeout. Lemon chicken is just deepfried chicken in a box with the most yellow dyed syrup sauce you'll ever see. It dyed the plastic to-go cup it came in. The chow mein was inedible and the beef was spongy. Everyone that ate the food had sore stomachs later. All 3 of us. When I eat in, I'm not usually this dissapointed but after this, I'll be driving to a better spot over kirker.

How everything I bought ( $50.00 +) can be so salty and still be tasteless us a mystery! I used DoorDash and they were perfect. Everything was piping hot . . . just salty and tasteless. It’s a mystery, because I’ve eaten there before in house pre Covid and it was really good.
