Authentic chaat and traditional north Indian food. Chole bhatura is a must try! Best ever I have had (no oil dripping from the bhatura, or on the plate 😉). Tried the rice bowl and it was appetizing although a touch spicier for me. The all vegetarian menu is a heaven sent! Hope they keep up the quality of food. They have a large variety of sweets...very tempting. Visit with a big appetite 🤩
Great place for authentic North Indian and Rajasthani food in Arizona . The chole bhature were outstanding and the sweets were fresh and perfectly balanced. Clean place, polite staff, and quick service. Highly recommended!
This was my sixth visit! This time, I tried the Chole Bhature and Matar Kulcha along with Kala Jamun. It’s rare to find such authentic and flavorful Indian food in the U.S.—the Chole Bhature and Matar Kulcha were absolutely delicious. Their North Indian food is among the best I’ve had, and the sweets are truly exceptional—Rasmalai, Malai Rasgulla, Cham Cham, Rabdi, milkshakes, and more. You won’t easily find such original Indian sweets here. The only downsides: the Naan last time was the readymade type and not freshly made on Tandoor. The lady store manager is very customer-friendly, ensures quick service, and even suggests dishes based on your preferences and mood. Always a great experience!
A Flavorful Journey Through India—Right in Chandler Bikanervala is hands-down one of the best Indian eateries I’ve visited in Arizona. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was stepping into a vibrant street corner in Rajasthan. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. I started with the pani puri—crisp, tangy, and addictive. Then came the samosa chaat, pav bhaji, and chhole bhature, each dish packed with authentic flavor and perfectly spiced. The textures, the freshness, the balance—it’s clear the kitchen knows what it’s doing. And the sweets? That’s where Bikanervala really shines. Their selection is impressive, and the rasgulla was a standout—soft, syrupy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I couldn’t resist trying a few more, and each one was a treat. What makes this place special isn’t just the food—it’s the feeling. The staff are friendly and passionate, and the whole experience feels like a celebration of Indian culture. Bikanervala has earned a permanent spot on my favorites list.
I’m so happy to finally see Bikanervala in Arizona after waiting for so long. It’s a cute spot that serves classic North Indian snacks and street food, and it’s perfect for a quick, flavorful bite. Their chaat is really great, full of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. I also tried their Indian-style sandwiches, and they were delicious and satisfying. However, I would skip the vada and sambar. The vada tasted sour and lacked flavor, and the sambar didn’t feel authentic. Since Bikanervala is known for its North Indian food, they should focus on what they do best rather than trying to cover South Indian dishes. I’ve already been going there almost every week for a quick snack or light meal, and the experience has been consistently good. If you’re craving chaat or North Indian street food, this is definitely a spot to check out.
We (Three of us, My wife, my grand nephew, and I) celebrated Labor Day in the most delicious way possible — at the newly opened Bikanerwala in Chandler, Arizona, and what a treat it turned out to be! This franchise carries with it the rich legacy of authentic Indian flavors, and to its credit, every dish we tasted lived up to that reputation. We began with Mango Lassi and Jal Jeera. The lassi was thick, creamy, wiyh pieces of real mango in it and refreshingly sweet with the natural richness of mango, almost like dessert in a glass. The jal jeera was the perfect contrast — tangy, spicy, and zingy, waking up the taste buds for what was to come. Then came the dish that stole our hearts — the Raj Kachori. Aptly called the “king of chaats,” it was an experience in itself. A giant, crisp kachori generously filled with yogurt, chutneys, sev, sprouts, and pomegranate — every bite brought together crunch, creaminess, tang, and spice in perfect harmony. Truly, a royal indulgence! For the main course, we opted for their thali, which was both lavish and comforting. The butter naan was pillowy and perfectly charred, pairing beautifully with the dishes. The malai methi mutter was creamy, rich, and easily my favorite — the sweetness of peas balanced with the earthy bitterness of fenugreek was spot on. The baingan bharta carried that signature smoky flavor and a homestyle touch, reminding me of kitchens back in India. The accompaniments of rice and boondi raita tied the plate together with cooling freshness. We also tried the Channa Bhatura, and it tasted just as authentic. The bhaturas came out perfectly puffed, soft yet slightly crisp at the edges, and the Punjabi-style choley were rich, spicy, and cooked to perfection — exactly how it’s served in the North. Together, they brought back memories of Delhi and Amritsar streets. And just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, i noticed the dessert — the warm, melt-in-your-mouth moong dal halwa. Fragrant with ghee and cardamom, it was decadent yet comforting, the perfect sweet ending to a royal spread. Bikanerwala Chandler has very quickly established itself as one of the best Indian restaurants in the Valley, combining authenticity with quality in every dish. From chaat to thali, everything was prepared with care and bursting with genuine North Indian flavors. Without hesitation, this is a solid 5-star experience. A place I’ll happily return to, again and again, if they maintain the same standards! 🤗
Amazing food. Superb customer service. Manager Khushboo is awesome and her recommendations were outstanding. Must go for all Indian food lovers. Hope they open one more branch in north phoenix.
Authentic north indian food and chaat. Tried chole bhature, dahi puri (they have suji puri!, khandvi, pyaz kachori, and masala chai. All were delicious, though the kachori could have more filling inside. Overall, definitely worth it!
We went for the first day... it's just awesome, I would say... run and grab their delicious sweets... they gave us samples to try on.. everything is fresh and fresh.. my kids loved their raskadam. All those Bengal sweets are just awesome. We tried on with some chaat items too.. chole bature is the best.Service is quick, and they will give you a warm welcome. The ambiance is nice. Since it's near Walmart there is a lot of parking spaces.
Best food! We ordered chhole bhature, momos, stuffed kulcha, pani puri and masala tea. The best chhole bhature in the town. Will definitely recommend this place specially if you only eat vegetarian food.
I visited Bikanervala and tried the Mutter Kulcha and Raj Kachori — both were authentic, flavorful, and served fresh. The menu has a wide selection, especially in their sweets section, which is impressive. The ambiance is welcoming, service is quick, and the overall experience was excellent. Definitely worth the visit!
Excellent authentic Indian flavors! Love the service too! I highly recommend trying this place if you love Indian food.
This place has the best indian sweet or desert that you will find in country. And chat item is just wow for me. I enjoyed my food here. Staff is very humble here. Being in country for so long, visiting so many indian food places. This one is the most closest to the north Indian flavors. No curry leaves in all items 😀
Excellent lunch experience at Bikanervala yesterday! The service was great, the restaurant was very clean. I have tried several dishes and the prices are great. The food was absolutely delicious and everything tasted super fresh.
I recently visited this restaurant, and it was an amazing experience! The ambience is fantastic, with a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive, offering excellent customer service that makes you feel welcome throughout your meal. As for the food, everything I tried was simply delicious. The Chole Bhature was out of this world — perfectly crispy and paired with flavorful chili that was both spicy and savory. The Kachori was another highlight, fresh and crispy on the outside, with a delicious, flavorful filling. And of course, the Pani Puri was a crowd-pleaser — tangy, spicy, and just the right amount of crunch! Overall, the combination of great food, wonderful people interaction, and a warm atmosphere makes this place a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
Best North Indian food in Phoenix area! I have tried bikanerwala in India and New Jersey and it’s the same authentic taste. The dal makhni, paneer butter masala and lachcha paratha were delicious. Also tried the gol gappa, bread pakora and aloo tikki - overall the food is fresh and tasty. It was the restaurant’s opening day today and they had some sweets as samplers and the sweets were so yummy! Definitely the best Indian sweets in AZ.
Food was great. Could use a bit more chutneys and lighter dahi (not as thick) , but overall experience was good. Service was fast even though it was so busy. Feels like they could use a bigger place if the trend continues. Nice music as well. It did feel Like I was back in one of their centers in India. Will Love to go back again. Also hoping they will open more branches on the west coast (San Diego)
At Bikanervala’s Chandler location, the unique flavors that left a lasting impression were the vibrant, tangy burst from their fresh and crispy Raj Kachori. Yummy chhole paired with fluffy Bhature and pickle was another standout, delivering a perfect balance of original Delhi taste and comfort. Their Indian sweets, especially the Rasmalai complemented our meal perfectly . These layered flavors and authentic taste create a memorable experience that keeps me coming back. Will definitely recommend to my friends.
I had an amazing experience at Bikanerwala! I tried the Dahi Puri, Raj Kachori, and an assortment of Bengali sweets — and each item was absolutely delicious. The Dahi Puri was crisp and tangy with just the right amount of spice and sweetness. The Raj Kachori was a delightful explosion of textures, generously filled and beautifully balanced in flavor. The Bengali sweets were the perfect finish — fresh, soft, and indulgently sweet without being overwhelming. The service was prompt, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic North Indian street food!
True Indian taste!! Sweets are so amazing and are best quality with lowest cost. A family restaurant that can offer affordable dining/snacking experience. Pretty convenient parking as well.
This is such a treat having nearby! I got the tikka platter and an assortment of sweets and was not disappointed. The service was very hospitable and the packaging of the food for to-go may be the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be making this a regular visit.
Loved their chaat but I have few recommendations. I hope they will consider it seriously. - panipuri water should not be ever given 2 sections of the plate. It is so hard to fill even with spoons and can not drink the water. It should always be in cups or bowls. I may not order again if they do this as it was such an inconvenience. - quantity of papri chaat is very low. I have been to many other Bikanerwala in US such as NJ, Dallas and their quantity is more. Overall food was tasty and service was very good.
WOW! I'm still reeling from the incredible dining experience I had at Bikanerwala! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with the exceptional service, made me feel like I was in the heart of India. Can give all 100 stars if i could. 😂 highly recommended.
I go here regularly almost weekly and love the food. I want to mention that they changed something in the chutneys today that it is not good at all today. Whether it was made from dried powder or change of chef but they need to go back to what it used to be. There was change in sweet tamarind chuney and also the chutney that comes with steamed veg momos. I hope they fix it so we can keep going there.
The first time we visited I didn't know what to expect, but oh my gosh the food was amazing. I'm a vegetarian and my husband is a carnivore and we both love this place. If you are looking for delicious meals served fast this is your place. The spice was perfect. They also have a whole dessert section with equally good treats.
We recently visited this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. We tried the chole bhature, bhel puri, pav bhaji, and raj kachori, and every single dish was authentic and flavorful. The chaat items, in particular, stood out with their perfect balance of spices and freshness. The ambience was calm and inviting. We also sampled a few of their sweets, and they were absolutely delightful and fresh. Overall, it’s a wonderful restaurant that delivers both quality food and a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors and delicious chaat!
I had a wonderful experience at Bikanervala in Chandler, Arizona. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and authentically Indian. The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every dish reflected high quality ingredients and traditional taste, making it clear that great care goes into their kitchen. Must try the Raj kachori & Chole Nature. One word.... Mind-blowing!! Their sweets deserve a special mention—every single one tasted absolutely perfect. Fresh, rich, and balanced in sweetness, they were truly authentic and among the best I’ve had. What truly stood out was the service. The staff was attentive, courteous, and genuinely eager to make sure we had a great dining experience. Orders were handled efficiently, questions were answered patiently, and everything was served promptly with a smile. Overall, Bikanervala in Chandler delivers both outstanding food and exceptional service. It’s a fantastic place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a comfortable and well-managed setting. Highly recommended!
At Bikanervala’s Chandler location, the standout flavors that truly impressed me were the vibrant, tangy burst of their fresh and crispy Raj Kachori. The delicious chhole served with soft, fluffy Bhature and tangy pickle offered an authentic Delhi-style comfort that hit all the right notes. To complete the meal, the Rasmalai was absolutely delightful — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The layered flavors and genuine taste made for a memorable dining experience that keeps me coming back. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends!
Visited Bikanervala Chandler for the first time today. Had a great experience! Pure vegetarian, high quality, fast response, good service, very clean, calm/casual/nice ambience!! Every single item we ordered was top notch! Spice level was mild, made fresh, and served hot. Will certainly visit again multiple times. It's a big blessing to have such a high quality vegetarian restaurant in Chandler. Highly recommend!
We had experience with bikanerwala in India and Dubai. Excited to try locally in chandler. Went for their best Raj kachori and Chole bhature. Both were good, but given the price felt chole bhature was worth but not Raj kachori. $11+ seems a bit pricey. Ambiance was very good and simple service
Went here to enjoy a quiet Wednesday after Diwali to get some fresh air after work. The Diwali decorations were beautiful. The food was decent but didn’t blow my mind . There were plenty of dessert options to choose from - lots of left overs from the Diwali sweets. The chai was excellent
Growing up in Chennai, Diwali always meant indulging in sweets from Bikanervala, Delhi. So, I was genuinely excited when I found out that Bikanervala had opened a location here in Phoenix. I’ve tried three different sweets so far, and all of them were excellent—what I especially liked was that they weren’t overly sweet, which is rare. We had dinner there on Friday evening with a group of seven, and the place was packed and buzzing with energy. It was refreshing to see an Indian eatery in Phoenix with such a lively vibe. Finding a place to sit felt just like being back in India—people waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) behind those already eating, hoping to grab a table. It took us around 15 minutes to find a spot, and by then, our food was ready—perfect timing. The food was really good and didn’t feel heavy at all. The only letdown were the naan and kulcha; I’ve definitely had better elsewhere. Looking forward to visiting again on a weekday for a more relaxed dining experience.
The quality of food is generally good, and the flavors are consistent. Popular items like pani puri, samosas, and chaat are prepared fresh and pack a flavorful punch. It perhaps best known for its sweets. Their laddoos, jalebi, kaju katli, and barfis are top-notch, rich and indulgent
Very tasty Raj Kachori, Aloo tikki chat was so fresh. Besan ladder, Samosas very also fresh n tasty. Got lot of gujia n Gulab jamuns for pack. Must go
🗓️ June 2025 – Food Notes • Pyaj Kachori: ⭐ Excellent – One of the best you can have in the USA! • Hyderabadi Chap Gravy: 😐 Average – Decent flavor but didn’t stand out. • Paratha: 👍 Great – Would’ve been better enjoyed fresh in-house rather than delivered. * Dal Tarka : Nothing close to authenticity. Overall I think may be chat items are good but Curry are 👎🏻
The sweets are great. We also tried dahi puri which was stale but pav bhaji was good. Friendly staff.
We tried chats which reminded a typical North Indian one. The taste was yummy. But, the quantity was not satisfactory. Hope they improve on that side. Rasmalai is a must try. Hope they maintains the quality and the taste 😊😊
I ordered samosa, and paneer pakoda...both clearly under the "hot snacks" section....is it because I ordered to-go that they weren't heated? Next ordering problem, I wanted to try 2 different of the sweets...now...pointing and saying what I read on the sign, plus hearing the guy speak back what was on the sign, I still received one sweet in replacement of what I ordered. Now, as far as what they got going for them that I really loved....the brown dipping sauce...tamarind(?) very good and spicy....not like anything I've had at other Indian places. Now I don't live in AZ, so the likelihood of going back is very slim....to bad things weren't different today..
I had better expectations from this place as an Indian.. but then it was an okay experience. We ordered a thaali which had kadhai paneer but that was toooo spicy for us to gulp in. The raita and in my sweet-dish so pretty much not what I expected it to be. Also I saw on their website they had indo-chinese but they didn’t at the counter, which was a disappointment again… but over all an okay experience. Good place to have all vegetarian indian food and sweets!
Overpriced for frozen paratha and stale kachori. However, their chole & sweets are their saving grace. We especially like the Rasmalai & fresh Bengali sweets. Their chaats can be a hit or miss. Most days they are served drowned in yogurt with undercooked potato. Their service is a little slow and confused, but never rude.
Visited Bikanervala within the first 10 days of their opening, and while the crowd and chaos could be attributed to opening week excitement. It was extremely crowded, and getting a table felt like a tactical mission — scanning half-eaten plates, watching tables to see if people were done or still waiting. We found a seat after we picked up orders, we ordered paneer pakoda, raj kachori, and channa bhatura. Unfortunately, the paneer pakoda was a disappointment — it seemed like it had been reheated multiple times. The batter was so brittle that it crumbled off before it even reached my mouth. The food pickup system was another pain point — the order callouts felt random and chaotic, reminiscent of standing at a counter in India. Understandable, so I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. On a second visit with friends, we ordered bhel poori and a few other snacks. The samosas were overly dark, suggesting either over-frying or multiple rounds of defrosting and refrying. Again, something felt off — taste, texture, and freshness just weren’t up to the mark. The falooda, though, stood out for the wrong reasons: never have I tasted falooda that strange. It almost seemed like a pre-made frozen version that was thawed and served. Two stars for the interior wall. I genuinely hope they iron out these issues with food quality and service. For now, though, it feels more like a miss than a hit.
Not a great experience. The food tasted like it had been frozen and just reheated, which took away any freshness. I asked for a spicy curry, but they couldn’t make it spicier because it was pre-made. The Aloo Tikki was unevenly heated—hot on the outside, cold inside. The Indian sweet was delicious, but overall, it was okay experience
Update: It’s really sad to see how quickly the quality at Bikanervala Chandler has gone downhill. Our recent visit was a complete disappointment. We ordered Chole Bhature, Aloo Paratha, Dahi Puri, and Idli Sambhar. The Aloo Paratha was clearly frozen and just microwaved — dry, chewy, and flavorless. The Dahi Puri was hard and had a weird taste. The Chole was overloaded with masala, causing acidity instead of enjoyment. And the Idli Sambhar was no better — the idlis were hard, and the chutney tasted like plain coconut purée with no salt or seasoning at all. It’s unfortunate how most restaurants lose their touch after the first few months, and Bikanervala seems to be following the same pattern. Really hope they fix things soon, because it’s sad to see such potential wasted. ---------------------------------------------- Absolutely phenomenal! Bikanervala in Chandler serves some of the best North Indian food I’ve had in Arizona. We ordered chole bhature, pav bhaji, matar kulcha, dahi puri, pani puri, kesar pista milk, and rabdi falooda—and every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, from the perfectly spiced chole to the crisp, refreshing pani puri. The kesar pista milk was rich and fragrant, and the rabdi falooda was the perfect sweet ending. Portions were generous, the service was friendly, especially Khushbu made it a point to come and talk to us and ask us about the food and the experience. The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming. If you’re craving real North Indian street-food flavors done right, this place is a must-visit. Truly a standout in Arizona’s Indian food scene!
It seems like they have decreased the quantity and increased the price... Prices in the menu and online are old and have been hiked. Quantity was a bummer. I had been there before and the raj chachori size was good. But this time it was too small. For $11-12, I expect to feel full, but see the quantity!!! Worst is still to come... It tasted stale. Not the taste I remember 😔
The food every time I order it’s just getting worst and worst…!!! Last I have ordered lachha paratha and mix veg sabji from them the paratha was literally uncooked…!! I’m talking genuine here so it was a take out order so I get that food won’t stay warm because I picked it up little bit late not even too late but understandable. But how can be paratha so uncooked…!!!! Mix veg sabji has only had 2-3 sabji Cauliflower, potato and beans and the size of cauliflower they put how can any person can eat that with paratha…!!! Well that was also kinda uncooked I wanted to go back and tell them that what kind of food do you serve when it’s a take out order……. But then I thought I’ll leave a review here…!!!
I was really looking forward to trying Bikanervala in Chandler, but their sweets were a big letdown. The quality tasted cheap, not fresh at all, and definitely not worth the high prices they charge. For what they’re asking, you’d expect authentic flavor and better ingredients, but it just wasn’t there. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone looking for good mithai.
We went there for a quick snack, all to go. One person in my party was totally new to Indian sweets, so they offered him a taster. They charged for it, and I only found out when checking the receipt. It’s always a best practice to be upfront about it. I would gladly pay for anything purchased for tasting, but don’t offer it as a taster. That was not all; the food was equally disappointing. The sweets had the smell and flavor of Indian spices, like they were cooked in curry. Not a great experience from both a service and quality point of view.
The food came out cold. Can they not even reheat the food properly since they aren't making fresh? Huge red flag is that there are no sabjis displayed on their front counter to select from for thaali. I've never had that experience elsewhere and should have known. Their naans are a joke, you can get better quality frozen food from grocery aisle. Papad wasn't even properly made and all their sauce for sabjis all tasted the same. Needs new management and FRESH FOOD. That is the basis of a restaurant and they can't even establish that. Never returning again.
Horrible food overall. I had bought sweets from here before and had good experience. I wanted to try food this time but had bad experience. The samosa chat was salty and seemed to not have yoghurt. My wife ordered a thali and that did not taste good either. Seemed too have too much spices than needed runing the taste. The naans seemed burned. The mango lassi had chunks at the bottom and the straw did not work properly. It seems to be a quality control and management problem here. I have been to many restaurants chains like this is Seattle and they seem to have consistent quality.
Visited this restaurant just now. Chole Bhature is average, not worth the price. I have ordered pyaaz kachori ,it was not fresh (served frozen food) they literally preheated in-front of me. I can make frozen food at home, there is no point in visiting restaurants for that. I genuinely liked Kesari pista badam milk(must try).
