Everything was excellent... delicious homemade pasta, not to mention the divine wild chicory! Very reasonable price, 2 first courses: Gnocchi all'amatriciana and fettuccine with mushrooms, 1 chicory, half a glass of wine, 1 dessert, 2 coffees, €35... clean place and very kind and welcoming owners. We will gladly return!

I've been frequenting this place for years. Owners Franco and Isabella are always available. The menu is varied and well-prepared, the dishes are plentiful, the prices are reasonable, and the evening atmosphere of Montecompatri is priceless. Highly recommended!

On a break in Tivoli, a dear friend tells us he recently went to La Favola. The food is good and the place is lovely. Let's go!!!! The village of Montecompatri is quite high, quaint, cool, and charming. The restaurant is in a beautiful square with a lovely outdoor seating area. The owner is a great joker, very friendly, and his wife, the chef and all-round waitress, is also a real all-rounder. We choose a good local white wine and order a nice platter of cured meats and cheeses. The first courses are good, but bland, and the second courses are tasteless. Then we move on to the first courses. Ricotta and spinach ravioli and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, delicate and tasty. For the second course, a lovely tagliata with arugula, porcini mushrooms, and parmesan, very, very good. Potato dippers, fried really well, not greasy, and with the skin on. Then crème brulee and zuppa inglese, delicious. We finish with coffee and an after-dinner drink. Congratulations!!

After several times getting takeout pizza, which was always delicious, last night I was very disappointed. I found myself in a box with industrial pizzas, some of them of poor quality, bought at the supermarket, taken from the freezer, baked for a while, even badly cooked and not even cheap, by the way. Now I don't know why they sold me these pizzas last night, but a pizza restaurant can't pass off a poor-quality supermarket pizza. For a pizza made by a pizza chef, it's truly a drop in style (and a drop in customers). I'm truly very, very disappointed. If I wanted a frozen pizza, I would have gone to the supermarket and bought it, saving money too.
