Opinions de Angelo's Pizza Pittsburgh
Stopped by to give it a try while traveling for business and it was a fantastic slice of pizza. I'd definitely come back next time I was in town. The pizza was well cooked, the sauce was fantastic and I loved the cupping pepperoni.
Absolutely love everything about Angelo's Pizza! I fly into Pittsburgh once a week from Florida and make sure to stop in for all my Pizza and Hoagie needs especially the "Mayo Whack"! IYKYK
Angelo's is a Pittsburgh culinary institution. If you want great Steel City pizzas and hoagies, they have to be on your short list. I love their Italian Hoagies ($16) It's what I remember growing up. Now that I'm living in Austin, when I return to my hometown, I need one of them each trip and am 16 again listening to Boston's More Than a Feeling. The Italian hoagie comes with wonderful Italian meats sliced thin with melted cheese. Warmed in the oven, it outs the perfect crunch on the bread. Add the onions, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and don't forget both Italian dressing AND mayo. Whole hoagies are at least 16 inches and fully filled. BTW, It is appropriate to have a jug of Turner's Iced Tea with your hoagie. Angelo's has great pizza too. They serve an amazing Sicilian Pizza (Squre & 12 large cuts) and a Deluxe Pizza (Large & choice of 4 toppings). $24.75 each. I gonna stop there. My stomach is happy and full. If you're an East Coast pizza fan, you will like their style.

In my top 3 pizza. Been in Bloomfield for many many years with that old-world Italian feel. 2 slices with pepp is my good to. So damn good.
What a great spot! The service was phenomenal. It was my 3 year old's birthday, and one of the staff members snuck across the street to buy her a cake-pop to celebrate. Talk about going above and beyond. Just good, down to earth, local vibes, but in a clean space - not grungy like some old school pizza shops can be. The pizza, garlic knots, and fries were great. We will definitely be back - I think we found our new, local dine-in pizza spot.
I haven't been to Angelos for years but back in the day when I worked and lived near West Penn, I used to go often. Last night after a show we ducked in spontaneously and I was so happy we did. The nostalgic pizza shop smell, the perfect cupped pepperoni, the provolone hoagie...man. I want to say that I really enjoyed it, it tasted like I remembered and made me remember why I need to visit Bloomfield a little more often.
This is a great pizza place. Boardwalk cuts are wonderful. My cousin Rich Bassett lived up the street, and when he wasn't able to get out and about because of health reasons they were nice enough to deliver to him. Unfortunately my cousin passed away this past March. When I'm back in the Burgh next spring I will be having a cut just for him . Pepperoni and Anchovies!!

Good boardwalk traditional cut pizza. Slightly heavier amount of cheese for cheese lovers with equally good amount of sauce. Crust was thicker (than a NY slice) but definitely something that you can enjoy easily. Didn't like the garlic parm wings because they were bland. The garlic flavor wasn't there, so all the oil was at the bottom and wings were covered in parm. Even after dipping the wings in oil, I couldn't taste the garlic flavor. I'd rather have plain wings with a side dip of garlic parm sauce. Cool staff but they were super busy!
A Bloomfield staple! Ordering over the phone is rough on the weekends, so I order live-- that way they can see my attractive figure BEFORE I get fat off their Angelo's special (life is short, so order everything on it). The new location is clean, and I like how you can see the cooks make the food. I kinda feel bad for them though, having all kinds of hungry people looking at you.
First time trying this place and it was pretty good. Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating, accidentally gave us the wrong pizza but called as soon as we left to let us know so we turned around and they let us keep both. Definitely the best pizza customer service experience in Pittsburgh. The pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings all had great flavor. We ordered a meat pizza and it was not too greasy like most. They only charged for half the price of toppings since we only wanted toppings on half the pizza. This seems like a given but most places charge full price for half toppings and I always feel a bit ripped off. Cons: The crust was a bit too thick for my taste and soggy, even though we asked for a well-done bake. The wait was kind of long from phone call to pick up (~35 min) Overall it’s some of the best Pizza we’ve tried in the city and would definitely go back!

Pizza was okay. Not really memorable. Ya know how good or great pizza sticks in your mind. This didn't. Nice helping of cheese tho. Also got the an Italian sausage hoagie. 2 stars for that. Was burned and very little on it. Would not recommend. Looked nice. But the taste was not there for me.
The flavor is great but there was so much cheese on my <uncut> pizza that it just slid off, along with the toppings and we kinda had to just pick it up with the crust. I also got pepperoni on half only and even wrote in all caps on the special instruction and they did all pep and toppings on half! Hahaha kinda funny. But not when the other person doesn't eat meat.

Quite possibly the worst Italian hoagie I have ever eaten the only good thing I can say about it was on a Mancini's bun. Got a cut off the top ate it cold it actually did not taste bad at all

IM SO TIRED OF ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE AND MY FOOD NOT BEING RIGHT. Last week I got 3 large pizza’s delivered, and do you know they were ALL over cooked and burnt! Today I gave them another try by ordering another hoagie I just could not eat. A hole Tuna Hoagie and they ruined it by putting it in their pizza oven and cooking it to crisp! WTH Angelo’s? And they would not remake my sandwich, so I’m at a loss yet again. I cannot deal. You all have missed the customer service mark. Who the hell wants hot tuna as a hoagie! You all should be ashamed! I’m DONE!
I never give a 1 star to a local business but Angelo's has real went down hill over the last few years. Last night my wife and I order an Italian hoagies with lettuce tomatoes onions and got none on the hoagies. I used to really like there food but not anymore.

The food was delivered to the wrong address and when we received it, it was cold and nasty. We spend $92.00. And was only offered 15 percent of the next order.. I'm done.... They deserve no star....
Second time I ordered from here and the order was messed up. The Italian hoagie literally had one piece of lunch meat with no lettuce, tomato or onion. The pizza toppings that I ordered weren’t the ones that came on the pizza. $62 worth of disappointment.
if I could leave zero stars, I would. they stole my money and never gave me what I ordered. They had an outage one night, order went through and when I arrived to pick up my order, there was a handwritten sign on the door. I was called the next day, told I was going to receive a check for what I had ordered because it had already went through on my credit card, never received anything. When I called asking if I could get my money back or just the pizza I had ordered some nasty lady said she wasn’t authorized to do that and that the owner would call me. Owner still has never called. I’ll just never got but go back because they’re nasty and their thieves.
As soon as I pulled up, I noticed there was barely any parking. Once I finally got a spot and got out, the parking lot smelled like weed. Not sure what goes on there but when I get to a restaurant I don’t like to be welcomed by that smell. Food was also definitely nothing like they advertise.
Long been a highly mediocre pizza shop.in little Italy?? But a 90 minute wait to make a sub sandwich...90s minutes..for a sub...not delivery...pickup. I truly don't understand. Not worth the wait. Truly a consistently abysmal experience. Skip it. Theres other options.
