Have been here several times and love it. Their food is delicious, their staff is always friendly and even when it's crowded our food has never taken long.

Amazing and authentic food and atmosphere. This is THE best place to go in all Placerville & Diamond Springs & Camino area! Never so busy you don't receive service. The very kind owners are hard workers with the other employees. Prices are also best, in comparison to other local chain restaurants & other counter orders, but they do serve all ordered food directly to you while you enjoy chips and your choice of salsas at the open Chip & salsa bar.

It is my go to place for Mexican food in the El Dorado Hill's area. Don't get up here enough. Flautas with flour tortillas is the best. The Pastor supreme burrito is the best i've ever had! Totally recommend this place.

Been here a few times, for the Placerville area this one is second on the favorites list. If you have not tried you should. Kinda of the path a bit but good. Yep another trip and not disappointed at all, this place has the best Chile of all of them, if you have not tried this place you are missing out.

This is the kind of business (small, family owned) we should all be supporting through this pandemic! I have been here dozens of times. I've never tasted anything that was even mediocre, let alone bad. This is my favorite place to get Mexican food. Always delicious, and totally affordable! The owner is there almost every time i go in. He is super friendly and always smiling, and he always asks about my family if they aren't there with me.

Stopped by and ordered several chicken tacos for lunch. Generous portions of fresh cheese and and lettuce all smothered with your choice of salsa. Absolutely delicious.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Placerville. The queso birria is top notch as are the street tacos. Salsa bar is Fantastic. Good authentic Mexican can be hard to come by in the foothills and this is the spot if you live around town or are just pulling off 50 for a quick bite.

Get the shrimp chimichangas. All of their house made salsas are delicious, fresh, and bursting with flavor. This place was a regular favorite when I lived in the area. We return annually during our Apple Hill trip and they never disappoint.

Been going here over the last few years as our food stop on the way down from Tahoe. Great place with teenage boy food portions. I get my kid the Burrito Supreme after skiing and it hits the spot. Right off Highway 50, family run and frequented by locals.

The shrimp fajitas is soooo yummy. Lots of good food, no skimping on the shrimp (big prawns). You really get your money's worth for a delicious meal. The service is great too.

Probably some of the best Mexican food I've had in years. So delicious, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered through DoorDash for delivery, and everything was still hot and fresh when it arrived. They are affordable, and the portions are HUGE! We ordered flautas, a supreme burrito, and a chimichanga. The burrito was massive! I definitely recommend eating here if you can, I'm just so pleased with how yummy it was!

Delicious perfectly made Adovada soft tacos! I didn’t see in menu, I asked and they made it. I am glad I asked 😊. Highly recommend it if you like authentic Mexican food.

We just stopped at this place on our way home from Tahoe. Place was amazing. Definitely will be coming back. Their Al Pastor was super sweet with really good flavor and those Carnitas were very Fresh. And we are very picky when it comes to mexican food.

This place is great! My Tijuana Breakfast Burrito was delicious. Probably the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu like the chile relleno and mole enchiladas. We stopped in for a mid-afternoon late lunch on our way to Tahoe, and were pleasantly surprised with the food and service. We had the street tacos (chilli Verde and pollo), chilli rellenos and.a kids rice, beans and cheese burrito. They were all excellent. We will be back.

Cant go wrong best mexican food in the county and has been for a very long time! Never had something on the menu i wasnt stoked about but the chimichangas are my favorite and if you try a shrimp chimi from here and say anything bad about it you probably eat glue.

We love this place, and we come here at least once a month! Isa and his mom are always kind and genuine. If you ever get the chance to ask them about their lives, how they acquired the restaurant, and what inspires them — do it! They make authentic food that’s affordable, filling, and tasty.

There is a back dining room where you could eat more privately. Just being honest with my opinion, 3 star atmosphere means 'meh' to me, not bad. The staff were great. Cheerful, helpful, and had me chilling comfortably while waiting for my wife. This place is now on the regular rotation and I'm already looking forward to next Tuesday.

Nothing we've eaten here has ever been bad. Tamales, taco salad, quesadilla, tacos, burritos, and carne asada are our typical go to's. The staff are always friendly and happy to see their guests happy. May this place be open for many more years to come, because it's one of my favorites!

Wow! Great food but totally hidden location! Food was hot and fresh, the portions are large, plenty of parking but WAY in the outside of town.

I have eaten here 3 times (so far). The food is good to very good. It is on the more authentic side of Mexican food. The owner is great & the servers are a mixed bag, some super & some indifferent. Very tasty food. I enjoy the colorful hole in the wall style. I have not been able to get/try tamales or chili rellenos yet. They have been out of them. I have had their tacos (2 types) & chimichangas. They were very tasty & good. The beans & rice are ordinary/nothing outstanding but still good. I am looking forward to trying more dishes. Mostly I was suprised to find pretty darn good Mexican food here, not outstanding but very good! I would not pass up this restaurant. It's far better than average, treat yourself! The flan is great! I am looking forward to trying more dishes there.... pretty darn good food but it is not top drawer. It is a bit pricy for a hole in the wall place. A very pleasant surprise.

Very nice place and authentic. They offer a huge burrito that could feed almost three people. Good options for different sauces and the main room was a bit warm but the other room was nice and cool.

Great service. Got a veggie burrito and it was huge and really good. perfect stop on the way out of town. A little pricey but everything is nowadays.

The food is good and everythings is customizable for vegeterians. They have tried to setup an authentic mexican atmosphere. Also there is complementary nachos and salsa.

Portions are HUGE and the food it delicious! Taco Tuesday is a bargain snd the Carnitas tacos were delicious. Only $1.95 ea on Tuesdays for street tacos.

The food is awesome, I havent had a plate that I didn't like. When we go there, I like to order the carnitas dinner or the chicken enchiladas. Theres always plenty of food on my plate and it has a homemade taste. The owner and his parents are great people and nice to talk to.

This is a good place to eat. It is under new ownership so I'm not really familiar with the new management. But it has consistently been a great place to eat for authentic food.

Food is good for the most part beans and rice need salt or more seasons. Service is friendly could be faster. They have a hot chip bar and salsas prices are decent.

Was looking for a decent meal after a day at the snow. My tacos were very small but my husband's nachos were pretty big. This place was ok. I wanted to see if it was really that good based on the reviews but it wasn't all that.

We read the reviews online and thought it would be a great place to eat. After running ragged all day, we were ready for a treat. I was first disappointed in the fact that it was counter ordering, and not served. This is, I guess, more of a personal preference, so I can't really knock it down for that. But it just felt...cheap or something. I wanted to sit and pour over a menu. Again- personal preference. But cheap it was not. None of us paid attention to prices, really. We ordered what sounded good and went from there. When we go the total, it was shocking! We immediately all thought there was something wrong, glancing at the prices, but as we got no receipt, we couldn't confirm other than the math in our heads. No one ordered alcohol, or anything pricey, or extra, it was just a lot to spend $65 for 4 people without being served was too much! The staff was decent, except when the gentleman at the front taking our order, stopped in the middle of taking our order to answer the phone and take someone else's order. That was rude. The callers order was processed before the people coming in. The food was good. And a lot. I can't really say great, since I've had better, but it was good. Would I go there again? Nope. Just wasn't impressed. Reading the reviews I thought it would be much better.

Had a bad experience with the cook. Have been eating there for awhile. Went in today to order out lunch, as I normally do, because i had my new puppy with me , and i wad holding him. I normally hold him while i order and then wait outside. I have done this numerous times. Today the cook wouldnt let me in the front door with the puppy(10 weeks old). I told him i wanted to order to go as i usually do. He said i couldnt come in with the puppy. He is nit the person i normally deal with when i go in. Too bad, because he was rude and o wont be going back. I get just as good food in Diamond springs at the mexican food place, and they had no problem with me coming to the front counter and ordering out.

This used to be the only place in town. We had the Pastor nachos. The Pastor was excessively sweet. I might as well had it for dessert. I haven't been there in quite a while and there are better options in town.

This place used to be really good with large portions, so I thought that I'd try them again. I was really disappointed as the flavors were very bland and almost inedible. Surprisingly not so bad cold the next day. For two carnitas burritos and one carnitas mole it was $47 with one drink. I didn't really want rice and beans with the burritos, but i ended up with them anyway. This was a to go order too. The potion sizes were ok, but not $47 OK. The staff was fantastic though, just wish that the food was as good as it used to be.

We picked this place based on its reviews and what a mistake! Would you imagine yourself standing on the middle of a half-empty restaurant and trying to attract some attention from its staff? You even wave your hands like an idiot but nobody still cares. They just pass up without welcoming you. We left after 10 minutes eventually realizing that this place has zero interest in us. If you like that kind of service, go there and enjoy it.

After reading the reviews, I decided to try this place and was extremely disappointed! Not sure what everyone else is ordering, but our family order consisted of chicken enchiladas which were horrible!! Instead of using actual enchilada sauce, they simply poured Old El Paso salsa on top, the chicken inside was flavorless, and absolutely no.cheese. Worst enchiladas I have ever tasted . I couldn't even eat it, it was that bad. My son had the chicken & what was supposed to be beef tacos. And again, he said no flavor... that the tacos we make at home are a lot better. My daughter had the chicken quesadilla, which she said was good..but again, could have been better if the chicken had more flavor. Rice and beans weren't terrible, but again my family said what I make at home is better. So, don't waste your time or money .you could make better food at home, or go to "Tortilla Flats" for really good mexican food.

I do not recommend this place, we tried this place out thinking they'd have posole and unfortunately they didnt but we thought we would still give it a try. The customer service was terrbile. He did not tell us our drink was ready, i had to ask him if that was ours, when he brought us our food he did not give us a fork, so my husband asked for one and he just pointed to where they kept the forks and didnt say a word to my husband. The food came out quick but other than that was not happy with this place. Also, had a very strong smell that made us a bit nauseous.

The worst wet burrito I've ever had in my life. I asked for avocado and sour cream, she put a teeny tiny sliver of avocado and no sour cream. This burrito is so dry it's definitely not wet she cooked the sauce too much on top I can't even swallow it the chicken so dry I'm very disappointed. Additionally I wanted the special the mole wet burrito that was advertised on the board as you walk in with rice and beans so I basically got a bait and switch. I really feel like I'm owed a credit in $19.59. Truly awful!!!
