The food was absolutely amazing! The dumplings were delicious, and you definitely can’t miss the chocolate dumplings—they’re a must-try. The chef’s specialty was also incredible and full of flavor. We also came specifically to try the duck, and it did not disappoint at all. Everything was so good, and I can’t wait to come back for more! 🥟🦆🍫✨
We visited Duck & Dumpling to ring in the Lunar New Year, drawn in by a craving for Peking duck, and everything we ordered ended up being just as enjoyable. We got a half order of the Peking duck, which was beautifully crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. It paired perfectly with the soft, chewy spring pancakes. The accompanying soup was fine, though I found myself spitting out small bits of bone with almost every spoonful. We also tried several dumpling dishes, all of which were solid. But the surprise standout for our whole table was the Spicy and Crispy Chicken. It was incredibly flavorful with an addictive crunch, though definitely not for anyone sensitive to heat. I don’t think we had an assigned server, since each time we pressed the call button a different person came by. Even so, service was consistently prompt and the food arrived in an orderly flow. I also appreciated the jugs of water on the table, since nothing derails a meal faster than half the group sitting with empty glasses. Overall, we had a great experience and are already looking forward to our next visit.
There has never been a restaurant so aptly named. The duck is delicious and they limit parties of three or less from ordering a whole duck so if you’re in a small party you’ll get the opportunity to explore the rest of the menu. They have the widest variety of dumplings I believe I’ve ever seen. The soup dumplings were perfect and the shrimp dumplings in chili sauce were delicious. Definitely a restaurant to revisit.
We got the half duck, pork xiao long bao, and braised beef noodle soup. Everything was phenomenal. The broths in both the beef noodle soup and the soup made from the Peking duck were rich in flavor. The soup filled dumplings were delicious. And the Peking duck was hot and crispy. I'm glad we found a local restaurant we can enjoy Peking Duck!
We went here with the family on a Wednesday night at around 6:30! The staff was very kind and efficient. The food was comparable to a Din Tai Fung and decently priced. We ordered the whole Peking duck which was very tasty and prepared very well. Not too oily and well balanced, it comes with the complimentary duck soup. This sells out very quickly so make sure you come earlier if you want to make sure you can get it. Among our favorites we thought the green beans were delicious and very similar to din tai fung. Another one of our favorites actually ended up being the chocolate buns, a very unique dish that did great in cutting the food taste at the end of the meal. We also order the spicy wonton and wonton soup. These were good items, the wontons themselves lacked a little bit of flavor but the wrapper was the perfect bounciness, probably would try a different item next time though. The crispy chicken and pork xiao long bao was also quite good, very regular basics. The seasame noodles were a little more salty than anticipated. However the restaurant was beautiful, clean, and staff was friendly and efficient! We will be back again!
Food is great! Beijing duck is great. But maybe the owner had changed, lots of other yummy dishes are no more available T_T! Anyway, overall is great! The Dandan noodles amazed me too!
I enjoyed the food here, service was great. You just try the spicy crispy chicken, very spicy but delicious!! Was not a fan of the cucumbers very sweet tasted Like a Boba drink
High quality duck. Get a soup with the peeling duck order. Very tasty and well made soup dumplings. Thin skin on the bottom, thick on top to make easier to grab. Chocolate dumplings were great for dessert. Would love then to try a salted egg version! Very friendly and attentive staff. Only thing that was slightly annoying is we sat by the service desk where it chimes very loudly when a table calls for service. It sounds like an 1980s department store chime.
can’t recommend this place enough! decided to stop by after seeing some posts on instagram and i’m so glad we did! incredibly peking duck: might be the best i’ve had in the area so far! we also had the colorful dumplings, spicy and sour pork and chive, and xiao long bao! everything tasted amazing! super fast service as well, I will definitely be coming back soon!
The dumplings had just the right flavor—perfectly seasoned and really satisfying. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
Came here with a large group (17) of family with varying ages, and everyone was able to enjoy~ We ordered the whole ducks (can't miss) as well as dumpling, veggie, and noodle dishes. Service was very attentive with suggestions on dishes at the beginning and making sure completed dishes were cleared and replaced. Clean interior and good atmosphere, would eat here again!
Me and my wife had never had peeking that before this place was so delicious that we are now going to gauge every other Peking Duk based on what we had here the fact that we got the soup dumplings, and the soup dumplings were absolutely delicious. The duck came with a duck soup that was just very simple but full of flavor, and they use the fat of the duck to kind of give a silkiness to the broth that was just absolutely amazing. I am completely blown away by this place.
I had a pleasant time with my family a group of 5. We tried the soup, Peking duck, soup dumpling, dumpling, and cucumbers 🥒 Food 8/10 Service 9/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 I would recommend coming here.
The pork xiaolong bao dumplings were delicious and generously sized! We were pleasantly surprised and happy with the size and taste of all the dumplings. The pan fried pork xiaolong bao was something unique we have never seen before. It was a fun food adventure! We recommend it for their price and portion.
We had a really good meal here. The crispy duck was excellent—perfectly cooked with great flavor—and the dumplings were solid all around. The green beans absolutely stole the show though… crispy, savory, and honestly outstanding. The only odd part was the service setup. You have to ring a doorbell on the table to get a server to come over, which felt a little awkward at first and slowed things down. Once we figured that out, it was fine, just different. Overall, the food definitely makes it worth it, especially if you’re going for the duck, dumplings, and those green beans.
We wanted to try a bit of everything so we got the following: braised beef noodle soup, pork xiao long bao, half Peking duck, and curry chicken and potato pot stickers. Overall, it was a 9/10 experience. The Peking duck was a 10/10. The skin was crispy and the meat was not too dry and not too fatty. The braised beef noodle soup tasted good. Noodles were chewy, and the meat was flavorful and tender. The curry chicken and potato pot stickers had a strong curry flavor and was very good. Never had curry dumplings before. The pork xiao long bao wasn’t my favorite and I feel like it’s a common theme in Dallas that the pork XLB aren’t as good as the ones back in California.
Came back for the 2nd time. Love the duck with crispy skin and less fat. Their soup dumplings are really good with plenty of tasty soup. The spicy crispy chicken is great with peanuts

"An absolute must-return restaurant! The dumplings have thin wrappers and generous fillings, bursting with flavorful broth in every bite—truly satisfying. The noodles are wonderfully chewy, with the authentic taste of hand-rolled dough. The most delightful surprise was the roast duck—the skin was crispy, the meat tender and juicy, and when paired with pancakes and sweet bean sauce, it was simply perfection! Highly recommended! From the ambiance and service to the flavors, everything was impeccable. It's an excellent choice for both family gatherings and casual meet-ups with friends!"

Drove from FW, to check this place out. Ordered: braised beef noodle soup, pork xiao long bao, pan fried thumb dumplings, and the half peking duck. The braised beef noodle soup didn't have the MSG "bite" or bad after-taste that I've found at other Shanghai type restaurants, which I appreciated. Everything was very good, the only thing was the duck soup that comes with the Peking duck was lukewarm. But we asked and they made a new one and it was much better. Filled with duck, napa, and radish. The thumb dumplings had a crispy bottom, could've been a bit more crispy but they were piping hot. Peking duck was fun, different, and for being in DFW, 5 stars!

This place is delicious. We had the half duck it starts with a savory duck soup and then the main star comes out. The duck was flavored well and the meat was tender and packed with flavor. I recommend the spicy shrimp and pork dumplings. The dumplings were filled and packed with flavor. I also suggest getting the combo fried rice . 🐼
Duck is very delicious. Dumplings are perfect. Must order Stir-fried green beans. Will come back again!
Our experience at the restaurant was great. We really enjoyed the food. They have the call button and service comes fast to help. This was my first time trying Peking Duck and I really enjoyed it. I will totally come back and bring some more friends next time.
Tried Duck and Dumplings in Plano recently and didn’t realize at first that it’s in the old Bamboo location. The waiter mentioned it’s a completely new menu, but from what I could tell, it feels very similar to the original. The interior and dishes look the same, and even the Peking duck board still said Bamboo, so it seems like they’re using a lot of the same setup. We ordered the shrimp and pork soup dumplings and they were solid overall. The broth had good depth and there were actual chunks of shrimp, which I appreciated. The Peking duck was okay, not super moist or super crispy, but not bad. The crispy soup dumplings were probably the most different item from what I remember. Good, but not a standout wow dish. One small note, I personally love ginger with my XLB and they don’t offer it here. I’ve only been to the original Bamboo a few times, but honestly, I can’t really tell much of a difference between the two. Overall, a decent meal if you liked the old spot.
We enjoyed our dinner tonite at Duck & Dumling. We ordered the half duck, passion fruit cucumbers, shrimp chow mein, and pork and chive dumpling. All the food tasted delicious! It took awhile for the peking duck but it was worth the wait.

We came here (party of 2) at 5pm on a Sunday. We were very excited since we loved Bamboo House, which is what Duck & Dumpling took over. Service was quick and polite, no complaints there. However we sadly were disappointed with the food. The duck was okay taste wise, but some texture issues - much too fatty, skin not crispy enough, and definitely skimped on the portion side. Previously we could order the half duck with surplus meat so we'd (happily) order more pancakes. Today the duck amount was visibly smaller than before, and we ran out of meat quickly. We also ordered the shrimp and pork wonton soup (not pictured) and the pan fried soup dumpling. The "soup" tasted like boiled water with a dash of soy sauce, and the wontons themselves strangely tasted like nothing, definitely some of the worst wontons we've had. The pan fried bao made up for the previous dishes. These were crispy on the bottom and had plentiful soup inside, so I enjoyed them. Overall this was a 3/10 experience if you're familiar with peking duck. so we sadly will be looking for another spot that offers the taste we're looking for.
