"The best way to spend a weekend! 🇵🇭 The Sinigang Pampano,Buttered Shrimp 🍤 Pancit Bihon Halo halo was 10/10, but the live open mic really made the experience. Such a fun, welcoming vibe—we came for the food and stayed for the music. Friday and Saturday 5-9 is officially our new tradition!"
Incredibly welcoming Ilocano staff. Stop by for generous portions of pork — grilled and fried. Ordered the liempo & lechón kawali. Even the dawdawan (dipping sauces) were phenomenal. Thank you Mauro’s for my first Filipino cuisine experience in Dallas. Feels like home as I am a Filipina myself. Will be coming time and time again to get my fix. 10/10 recommend!!!
Great place, small quiet. Fast service but be patient as the food is made from scratch but it doesn't take long, just the time to be prepared. Very affordable considering the quality of the food, portions are not small but big enough for you to be satisfied. Many dishes on the menu which motivates me to come back and try them all. Nice little hole on the wall! Give it a try! (BTW, great use of spices but food is not hot at all...just flavor and many options for Keto diet people)
Great filipino spot in the area and good priced for the portions.
Delicious food, quick service and very friendly staff. I tried the sinigang (tamarind) soup and lumpin (egg rolls) and both were extremely tasty. The people at the front are willing to help you with the menu if you're not familiar with the food. The lady there was really sweet and checked on our table a couple times to make sure everything was ok and see if we needed anything. The prices are good for the portions and flavor. Definitely coming back here!
On our way back from a 5 state road trip and decided to try one of the Filipino spots listed for a lunch stop. Sooooo happy that we chose Mauro's! Every dish we ordered brought back memories of Manila, Cebu, & Davao City! We will definitely return whenever we're in the area!
My Filipino BF and I stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon and had lechon and menudo over fried rice. I’ve never been to the Philippines and my experience with Filipino food is limited to his family's cooking, which I love! The Lechon melted on your mouth, the sweet and tart sauce was delicious. The menudo had a great balance of chunks of meat and potatoes, and felt like comfort food. Meals are served cafeteria-style, with all you can eat rice, salty shrimp paste, spicy vinegar fish sauce, and sriracha. Of course we had to finish with halo halo, topped with taro ice cream. This was my first time and I was expecting a cloyingly sweet mixture of gelatinous fruits, but it was really refreshing with evaporated milk, coconut, jackfruit, jellied palm fruit, banana, and (I think) taro. We also got fried chicken skins and roasted garlic and peanut mix to go... it only lasted a couple of days in our house! I can’t wait to try more of Mauro’s dishes.
The staff was amazing and very helpful. They had great food and we will be going back for sure. We had the beef Caldereta and BBQ Skewers 2 chicken and 2 pork.
So much food! And very tasty
Just like eating at home with mom's/Lola's cooking. Friendly service, generous portions. The BBQ pork on a stick is juicy and not overcooked. The Crispy Pata was cooked perfectly. Crunchy on the outside yet soft in he center. You won't have to worry about cracking any teeth 😂. Also, the best bang for your buck on their Halo Halo. They also have homemade ice creams, dessert and a little store area where you can purchase some of your favorite native snacks. Since my first visit a month ago, we've have already been back 4 times.
Miss Josie and Helen were very friendly! We had the adobo and shrimp sinagang and it was delicious 🤤! I recommend this restaurant for authentic Filipino Food❤️
First time here. Masarap! Go straight to the cashier. Order your food. Then you can sit down and wait for your food to be served. Enjoy eating at your own pace. Then pay at the cash register where you ordered. Pick up some Filipino treats too before making your final payment:) One disappointment, lumpia are sooo tiny/skinny! It is a very small serving even if it says 10 pieces. But they taste freshly prepared and delicious!

Feels like I stepped into a friend's home. This is home cooking and it comes with its pros and cons - food is tender and well seasoned but it takes a long time. I would definitely recommend having Google Lens ready because there are no pictures on the menu or just ask them for a recommendation. Filipino food has this pleasant sourness that just gets you ready to do anything. I had Lechón with rice and forgot to take a picture.

Hey All People Out There Who Enjoy and Like Filipino Food Combined with Karaoke Singing! This review post is for all those people living in the north texas Dallas regional area that enjoy great Filipino cuisine, culinary food items as well as Karaoke recreational singing and singing activities. I recently located and found this Filipino cuisine food and grill restaurant which serves delicious and flavorful Filipino culinary menu food items to also include a Karaoke singing stage offering and amenity which is entirely free of charge with no cost fees. The family owned restaurant proprietors and owners Mauro, Elle and staff members are all fantastic and wonderful with a high level of quality and excellence in customer oriented service. All of the food items are very good but my personal favorites happen to be the Chicken and Pork Adobo food dishes, Chicken Garlic Fried Rice, Noodle food dishes and the grilled marinated chicken on skewers. As far as the Karaoke singing stage offering and amenity goes; based upon my own personal experiences the best Karaoke Singer Host is Kimmy as she makes the whole experience much more enjoyable, fun and entertaining. Kimmy is able to sing your favorite songs upon requests but the experience is definitely much more enjoyable and further enhanced if you participate in and have an opportunity of singing with her (You definitely don't want to miss this opportunity). I really prefer singing my favorite top 40 hits and 80's Rock songs and tunes with Kimmy! She is also bilingual in the Filipino language of the Tagalo dialect and can sing all different and various types and genres of songs from Filipino Tagalo dialect language songs to include the Top 40 Hits, 80's Rock as well as dance music songs and tunes. Additionally Kimmy also has other additional further interests such as blogging, photography, travelling and which I also was very impressed and amused with was utilizing Generative AI software application and system tools to convert the following photograph image that she had taken of us to an animated image which I found to be quite good and funny. It was really nice of her to do this and share with me. Check out the original photograph image with the animated version which I've also uploaded. The uploaded image files are of myself, a friend and Kimmy. We're becoming a community of people who just like to enjoy and experience great Filipino food and at the same time be able to share a great evening and night out with family, friends and other patrons who enjoy Karaoke recreational singing and singing activities all under one restaurant business place and establishment. Be sure to join Kimmy and the rest of us as we explore and experience a great and wonderful late afternoon and evening fulfilled with fun, eating great Filipino cuisine food and at the same time enjoying or participating in the Karaoke Singing Service Offering. So be sure to join Kimmy, friends and patrons on Fridays (From 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM) and Saturdays (From 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM) which are the specific days, nights and times that provide and offer the Karaoke Service, offering or amenity which is accessible to anyone who wants to step up to the microphone and sing there favorite songs and tunes. Stop by on Fridays (From 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM) and Saturdays (From 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM) and let's all step up to the microphone, have some great fun and do some singing with Kimmy and the rest of us!
Me and my Wife went here today and spent 85.00+ dollars and it was the Best money I spent in along time. The pork belly dish, Lumpia, Pancit, BBQ skewers, Kawali, Pompano fish. The Service was on point. Ill be back tomorrow for breakfast Tacos. Nothing like REAL FOOD
I visit this place whenever I have a craving for Filipino food. We ordered grilled squid, crispy pata, sisig, pansit, lumpia, lechon paksiw, as well as SILOG and bilo-bilo. They also have a small shop selling Filipino treats. We met the owner today, who was very kind and friendly, and the cashier was very attentive to our needs. Although it's about a 40-minute drive from my place, I think it's all worth the trip. My son loves their food! We will definitely come again.

Wow! Just not cooked to order, but made fresh from scratch! This reminded me of eating authentic Filipino food served as an honored guest at a home, and made to perfection by a NaiNai. I suggest try everything because they will not disappoint in taste, and amount! Portions sizes are Texas sizes, big and could easily feed 2 people. Support local, support Filipino, and experience the magic of the Philippine Island here!
THE FOOD IS GREAT! i ordered squid, chicken inasal, pork barbecue and pinakbet. I loved all of it! Authentic original filipino food! Here is why i didn’t rate a 5star. 1. Service can be better. I am willing to wait for the food to be cooked but they served me sinigang which i did not order, i was on queue to pay and the person infront of me asked if her adobo and crispy pata is ready, all of the sudden, the staff said, ‘oh i am sorry we dont have adobo but the crispy pata is almost ready’. I was like what? Dont take the order if you don’t have adobo to begin with. Same thing happened to the next person after me, he asked if his kare kare is ready. The staff answered, i am sorry, we dont have kare kare. 😂 again, do not take the order if you dont have it. 2. The place can be cleaner and more organized. Floor is very slippery. Stuff are all over the place. Its like a typical turo turo in the philippines. That is not how you want to showcase the best foods of the philippines. I dont mind all those scattered merchandise but remember we are looking at the whole eating experience that your customers want to remember. 3. I feel that its a bit pricey. I dont mind paying more but make sure your place is clean and organized. Position your products very well. I am saying this not to bring the restaurant down but to challenge them to make the service better. I believe they can do better than what i have experienced today. You guys have good food. Dont let other factors fail.
So I kinda married into Filipino food, and man am I glad I did! Take all your favorite Asian, Island, and Spanish flavors throw them in a pot and sprinkle with a little North African, European, and American and you got some crazy good going on! Mauro's is a good representation of this. The fish (pompano) was good, well fried, simply seasoned, and beautifully accompanied by the Patis and vinegar. The pancit was alright, not Mom's, but alright. The Sisig was pretty good, it's a little more mayonnaise heavy than I prefer, but still good, especially if that's your flavor! The Lumpia Shanghai were just as you would expect, which means they were super tasty. The BBQ pork skewers were tasty, maybe a little cool, but still tasty. Definitely worth a return visit to find out if the quality and flavors are where they hint they could be.

🛑🛑THIS IS A 2 DAYS REVIEW We are visiting from out of town. We are only here for my doctor’s appointments and procedure. 10/11/25 - Saturday - 11:00 am - Food was excellent and the service was excellent. The lady is very friendly, very professional to her customers and very relaxed. That’s a good thing for the customers. We ordered Lechon Kawali, Pancit canton, sinigang pampano and grilled squid. All were excellent except the rice. I’m used to jasmine rice. 🛑🛑🛑10/12/25 - Sunday - 11:30 am - There’s a different lady who took our order and helped us when we were ready to pay. We explained to her that we were HERE Saturday (yesterday). The pancit canton was excellent but the bihon today were 1 out of 5. SISIG, BULALO AND PANCIT BIHON ALL NOT RECOMMENDED ‼️‼️‼️Their sisig tasted like ground pork. We don’t taste the liempo rich flavor or the pork face for that matter. Today, the only thing that we enjoyed were grilled Pampano. They were 20.00 For a small size. We like the lady from Saturday. She was still there today. She helped us served the food and checked on us. It feels like we were in PI. Family gatherings Sunday meal together. 🛑🛑This is a 2 day review. 10/11/25 and 10/12/25 🛑🛑The lady from Saturday did a great job from start to finish. 🛑🛑The lady today from the register not sure. Not recommended.
It is not just a Filipino restaurant, and it also sells Filipino snacks, ice cream and bakery. Food is hearty and comfort. Beef Caldereta is highly recommended. The cashier lady is so friendly, helpful and nice. The environment is clean and simple. Food is served fast, but a little pricey regarding the portion.

The food was ok but overly priced for the serving sizes you receive. I ordered pancit and beef caldereta. The pancit was a large portion of noodles with veggies and hardly any meat on top. The caldereta had a good flavor but the portion size was very small and most of the beef was fatty. I drove from north of McKinney and was pretty disappointed :(
We drove 3hrs from Oklahoma to try the Crispy Pata since I was really craving for it. The service was really slow. There were 3 people working when we got there and we waited patiently in line to place our order. We ordered crispy pata and chicken inasal and went to our table after. 30mins has passed and we still havent got our food. No words from the server/cashier. 10mins later, the server was looking for a table number which is ours so I raised my hand. We were so excited that finally we are getting our food. 5mins later the server hasn’t brought our food still so I went to the counter and asked if our food is ready and I’ll just take it from there cause we’re already hungry. When we got our food, I am so disappointed with the crispy pata. The portion doesnt seem like an XL and its mostly bones with very little meat added to it. Plus the pork skin has a lot of hair still on it like it wasn’t cleaned and prepped properly.
