The most Amazing restaurant I have ever been too!!! Our server Eliel was fantastic and had amazing customer service which made the experience mind blowing!!! Highly recommend to anybody coming to Hotel Xcaret. Book it twice if you can!!
We made a reservation a month in advance and somehow they were still not ready for us. Made us wait 30 minutes as I’m guessing they overbooked or took too many walk ins. Food wise, it’s alright. I’ll give it 5 stars but I was more impressed with Encanta, kibi kibi and apapaxoa.
Chino poblano is a super refined immersion into a leisurely and sumptuous culinary experience. Allow yourself approx 2 hours to enjoy! The fusion is Asian-Mexican but the approach is purely Asian, with each delicious course being a tantalizing set-up for the next. Do not come to gorge or to assuage a ravenous hunger as you will not get platters heaped with food. Rather, each course is a unique visual and tasty objet d’art, super satisfying if you focus on the tasting menu experience. Sit back and let yourself be pampered. So delicately delicious! So beautiful! Such a great experience! Thank you!
I have written a semi decent review for all the restaurants at this resort...but this one...this one is a 100/10 and I could not recommend it more!! Every item was AMAZING! The service was great and just the experience was lovely. I wish we ate here every night!
Just wonderful! I had the vegetarian taster menu and was delighted and surprised by every course! Wonderful service and superbly well considered! Thank you!!
We were surprised about how good this restaurant was; I don’t know if they recently changed the menu or what but the food was amazing.
Excellent experience. We had low expectations but it was a high point of our trip.
Would return. Everything tasted wonderful. Service was excellent, catered to all needs!!
Great tasting menu ideas and on point execution. A must try. 🙂
Perfect blend. We got biriamen!
Roberto was an exceptional server
The food was great!!!
Great experience!
La cocina fuzion es espectacular!! Exelente calidad
1000% recomendado.
All around probably the best restaurant here, a mix of Asian and Mexican food with amazing textures and even better taste.
I had a dinner reservation for 2 (during late April) & was seated very quickly. The whole tasting took about 1.5 hours and was a fun experience. The Mexican & Asian components show through each dish. Our waiter was very friendly & did a great job explaining each dish very thoroughly. I enjoyed most of the dishes. You get a mixture of protein throughout the 8 courses- duck, seafood, lamb, beef, & pork. Everything tasted great & the presentation was done very well. I would definitely recommend making dinner reservations to this restaurant if you’re staying at Hotel Arte!
Contrary to some of the negative reviews I’ve come across, our experience at Chino Poblano was nothing short of exceptional, and it undoubtedly stood out as one of the highlights of our week-long honeymoon. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that seamlessly blended elegance with a vibrant, contemporary flair, making it a true fine-dining experience. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between sophistication and warmth, creating an inviting yet refined setting that made us feel like we were embarking on a culinary journey. Our server, an absolute delight, added another layer of brilliance to the evening. Not only was their service impeccable, but their knowledge of each dish was impressive, offering thoughtful and detailed explanations of the seven-course tasting menu. Their genuine enthusiasm for the food only heightened our excitement, as they guided us through a flavorful exploration that felt as much like a cultural experience as it did a meal. Each course was delivered with precision and care, showcasing the perfect marriage of Chinese and Mexican flavors, a true testament to the restaurant's unique concept. The food itself was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was carefully crafted, bursting with bold flavors and artful presentation. The textures, the contrasts, and the balance of spices left us truly marveling at the chef’s creativity. Whether it was the delicate balance of heat in a dish or the surprising twist of ingredients, each bite was a revelation that elevated the dining experience to an entirely new level. If you’re staying at Xcaret, I wholeheartedly recommend booking a reservation at Chino Poblano. This restaurant is a rare gem where service, ambiance, and cuisine harmonize to create an unforgettable dining experience. For those seeking more than just a meal, but a true culinary adventure, Chino Poblano is an absolute must.
Sad I couldn’t get in for a second time!!! Honestly such a wonderful experience through and through. My server Dani was spectacular!!! So good at taking her time, explaining everything to us thoroughly, and making sure we ordered what we were going to enjoy. You start with a welcome drink and snack. Our server suggested we pick 2 appetizers each, one entree and one dessert. Each had a drink pairing and I loved the pork belly so much she brought out one of the lamb appetizers to try she thought we also would like to add on. 10/10. GREAT service. My personal favorite restaurant here.
We went here, for dinner, on our last night at Xcaret. We had Marco as our server. The food was amazing (especially the dim sum and the pork belly dishes), and the ambiance was perfect. But, hands down the best part of our experience was the service. I must say, the servers at this restaurant work harder than any other restaurant at the resort. Marco explained every dish and specialty treat that accompanied our meal. He also made the perfect recommendations. It didn’t take long for my husband and I to notice that he was hustling very hard waiting on a handful of tables and delivering dozens of dishes, to each table. PLEASE tip these servers if you are happy at the end of your meal. They work so hard and can truly help make or break your dining experience. We can’t wait to go back, again, some day.
What an amazing experience! You really have to have an open mind to experience the fusion of the two cultures/cuisines. My wife and I had an amazing time, the drinks were superb and the food was top notch. What really set our experience above is the care and treatments we received by our server, Angello. He explained each meal with such elegance and charisma. Thank you Xcaret Arte for such an Amazing Experience.
Absolutely fantastic. Different menu from last year, but followed a similar pattern and flow. 7+ courses, each building on familiar Asian or Mexican food themes. Is it Asian food w/ Mexican flavors? …

The experience was amazing, my server Roberto explained in detail every single dish. This is an amazing experience that needs to be done!! 10/10 in service and flavors!!!
Roberto and the food were excellent service great overall great experience, fine dining at its best, very detailed platting
The food was amazing and Jorge was a fantastic waiter! He brought each dish in a timely manner and explained well what each were.
Many small unique plates ending with two desserts which were delicious! You will be shocked that you leave feeling very full.
The tasting menu was amazing. The drinks were the best we’ve had all week and everything was paired perfectly. Andres took great care of us!
We are on honeymoon at xcalet Food is good and service is best. We are arrange best waiter called Roberto☺️ He is good and kind.
Wonderful tasting menu. It was a full evening of wonderful food and drinks. Each course was unique and delicious! I highly recommend.
Good tasting menu with some interesting twists, lychee margarita balls were particularly interesting. Had amazing service from Alejandro on Sept 29 evening
Excellent service with Andres ! He was amazing , very attentive! The rib was good ! Desert was Great I wanted the piggy tortilla holder but they don't sell them! The restaurant should sell them, …
Such amazing food and service!! Everything was perfect :) ambiance was 10/10!!!! Especially loved the dessert and drinks!!

The atmosphere, service, and food were impeccable. We went with the pairing menu which was just amazing. Even for someone like my husband who doesn't like to step outside of his food boundaries he …
Overall still good due to complicated flavor. They tried to mix Asian and Mexico food culture but I would suggest that they can stand out more local culture food. Otherwise, the best part is their desserts, different flavor mixed well without conflict.
A super interesting tasting menu combining chinese and mexican influence. We reserved about 2 weeks before arriving for an 8:30pm reservation but we were hungry at 6pm so arrived at 6:30pm and they were fine to seat us then. There is a lot of food, so arrive hungry! Over 7 courses there are 17 different dishes. I am pescatarian and they adjusted fine to me. Some of the flavours were fantastic, both the dim sum and the main course were fantastic. Some however, the ramen and the fish course werent necessary and we left uncomfortably full. Overall I preferred Encanta.
Great atention and explanations from Roberto. Food was good, but with no many options, if you are not an open minded eater, don't go.

Very ambiguous in taste. Out of space.. Not evenly distributed soup amounts in noodles. But just passing without mention any. My personal opinion
Reception system is a hassle. Food is average : not even close to Le Chique ( highly rated flag restaurant by same chef at Puerto Morelos) Wine pairing is very poor: some are un drinkable like a very flat Riesling from Hidalgo or a horrible Mexican red. Sparkling was ok. It includes a “tequila” not from Tequila ie a fake. Will not come back
The decor and architecture of the restaurant is the least special of all in Arte, very plain. The tasting menu takes FOR EVER. You should be ready to spend at least 2 hours here. You will lose appetite by the fifth course. The food is a hit and miss, some are good like the birria ramen and the duck with mole, but in general is very forgettable. Try as hard as you can to ask for a table inside because you will melt in your seat outside since there is no proper ventilation there. If you can, avoid dining here.
Requires reservation. This is a tasting menu experience and it takes no less than 2 hrs. The food was hit and miss taste wise, but presentation is impeccable (as is the top notch service). Incredibly delicious welcome drink (green tea base), first course (act 1), and the last 2 courses (acts 6 and 7) were really good, the ones in between didn't stand out to us. As of June 2024, the tasting menu is in the picture attached.
If it's an amazing culinary experience you're looking for, I wouldn't recommend it. Service and presentation was good, the atmosphere was nice, but the food was a little anti-climatic. The best thing was the borrow ramen but it was lacking flavor tbh
No taste and bad quality of ingredients, pushy servers, overall very bad experience. Even someone in our party got food poison
Mexican and Chinese food do not mix well
This was our least favorite restaurant at Arte. The dishes were all lackluster, and there wasn’t much flavor or seasoning. The food well short of the concept, Mexican meets Chinese cuisine. I’d recommend to skip this, until they re-work the entire menu. Excellent service from the wait team.
We experienced (I wouldn't say "enjoyed") the whole "10-course" thing. Probably 3 entrees we liked, 3-4 we tolerated, and 3 we couldn't eat. Maybe for a more sophisticated pallet, but just not for our party. Also, be careful about the beverage options - the cheapest bottle was over $70 - that would buy a REALLY nice wine back home
As a Korean, I expected some semblance of Chinese-Mexican fusion, but as a result, got a mix of confused asian hybrid food. The dumplings were underwhelming and paired with a peanut sauce (instead of soy sauce as any regular Chinese restaurant would serve), the appetizers were overly complex, and the food was just generally salty and not very good. So disappointed. The service, however was fantastic.
Disappointing. My partner and I love both the Chinese and Mexican foods but honestly the dinner meal mixing the two cuisine was really not good at all. Other restaurant like the fusion tag xido is way better.
I don’t even know what was on the menu. It’s way to complicated and nothing makes sense. The food that we ordered was weird and didn’t taste good.
Seating was very uncomfortable. The food lacked flavor. Contrived is the best way to describe this “restaurant”.
Great service but disgusting food!
This restaurant combines Chinese and Mexican cuisine. It's hard to imagine Chinese and Mexican dishes together. The service is extremely slow—two hours have passed and the main course hasn't even been served. You take one bite of food and then wait half an hour. All you can do is sit there and drink.
No volvemos nunca.
Ugh, I really hate to bring this up but the waitstaff totally snubbed us. We waited for a table for like three hours, and they kept ignoring us—letting other people go in ahead of us, taking down other names while telling us we didn’t need to put our name down. They wouldn’t call us no matter how many times we asked, just kept saying “keep waiting.” Only when we got seriously annoyed did they finally take our name and say we were “next.” Felt straight-up discriminated against, honestly.
As others have mentioned, the length of time for this dinner experience is far too long for what you’re served. You are told the tasting menu is an 8 course meal, however, each “course” is consumed within one or two bites. Not nearly enough for an average adult to feel full, especially after sitting there for 2 hours to get it all. Of the 8 courses, it also seems that the majority are dessert related. Not sure where the Asian and Mexican fusion came in, maybe because one course is birria ramen and a small taco while the next is a single crab dumpling. We left before dessert because we came in starving and were still starving after our “main course,” which was a single rib with a sliver of meat on it and a bunch of other mystery items you’re told to craft into tacos with tortillas that come from a wicker pig. 🤷♀️ If you’re going to serve 8 courses, you’d think they’d be filling. Our server was great and did what she could, but I could never recommend this spot.
We set a reservation for 7:30 but didn’t get sat until 7:40. That’s understandable, places get busy. We were served water immediately but we’re not asked about our drink preferences for another 20 minutes. Our server came back at 8 with a wine menu, we let our server know we were not wine drinkers and she said that there is a full bar available and we can order anything. She walked away before I could order my drink, but she did come back 10 minutes later with the house specialty drink. Thanks? The courses came out extremely slow. I would not suggest eating here if you are starving or don’t have at least two hours to waste. We left before dessert came. The food was good, portions are small, and we left at the 2 hour mark.
The whole menu has nearly nothing to do with Chinese food except for maybe a few items. This is not fusion, just confusion. The essence of Chinese cuisine was non-existent and the formality was questionably there. Service is WAY too slow. Yes, I understand the chef is trying to create fine dining experience but the food isn’t at the right level to support the long dining experience. Felt so exhausting at the end and would not come back what so ever.
What's going on here? This restaurant not only ruins Chinese cuisine but also Mexican food. The chef thinks he's genuinely combining the two, but that's a joke. The food tastes extremely weird, failing to capture the essence of either Mexican or Chinese cuisine. The service is painfully slow. I get that you're trying to perfect each dish, but waiting from 7 until 9 is just too long. The main dish was not even ready after 2hrs we checked in. The only good thing is the drink, I had to get full by drinking that lol.
