Review from a Canadian Traveller: This place is fantastic! We happened to see it while walking by and decided to return later because the sign said “specialty coffee”. First we stopped for an espresso & tonic - it was 10/10, the best coffee I’ve had in weeks. We decided to come back later the same day for another one it was so good. We’ve now been everyday since. The staff are very friendly, service is fast and pricing is great. I’m surprised it’s not more for this level of service and coffee. I had a Chemex pour over, natural variety and it was excellent. If you’re Canadian or just a good real coffee lover in general, I highly recommend! I should also note, the space is bright, has cool comfortable temperatures and the bathroom is very clean.

Since Petite Choux closed, this is the best cafe on this side of playa. Expert drinks, super friendly, chill location just off Quinta. I’m a coffee snob. This is the best I’ve found in playa. And they have peanut coffee. What?? Pretty interesting. But the atmosphere is nice. They don’t overplay “chill” music, it’s tranquilo, just a nice experience.

Delicious food, great combo options and prices. I got “eggs how you like it” scrambled with cheese, came with potatoes, toast, and avocado. Ordered a latte to drink. It was exactly what I needed. I got my mom the combo pack #4 which is a sandwich, fruit, juice, and coffee. WiFi is good, plenty of space to sit and work indoors and outdoors. I’m sure during the hottest part of the day it might not be the most comfortable but it was lovely this morning . Street noise is kind of loud depending on what’s going on, so bring noise canceling headphones if you want to work.

Loved the coffee it was very good. Although a bit too watery for my taste. It was a bit bitter but also sweet so I feel like the bitterness only comes as a result of an underextraction. I realize that's complaining on a very high level so don't stress it :-)

Breakfast was top notch. I had one of the convos with a vanilla latte. The scrambled eggs with ham were well flavored. The kids had the bacon and eggs. The server Luciano was great and make sure we were well taken care of. This place is a gem and great location to return.

AtlasAdventured highly recommends eating here! One of our favorite breakfast/coffee spots in Playa. Not only is the food and coffee good, but the service is great. Mariano is always great with our daughter and provides excellent customer service. The food and bakery items are always fresh and have great flavor. We especially love eating here on Saturdays for their slightly expanded 'Saturday Brunch' menu. Some of our favorite items so far have been, the California bagel, mushroom and cheese omelette, croissant breakfast sandwich, brownie frappe, golden smoothie and berry smoothie. All of the baked goods we have ordered are fantastic as well. If you're in the area and looking for a café, you should definitely stop here and try it out. Maybe we will see ya there!

Surprisingly there aren't many serious coffee places in Playa del Carmen, but Quadra is a great option with nice atmosphere and skilled baristas putting a lot of care into what they do. It's great that they have several specialty coffees to choose from. It's also perfectly located in a calm place near but away from the main strip.

Ate here a few times during my stay in Playa del Carmen. Delicious breakfast options, berry smoothie, green juice and coffee was really good. The staff were super friendly and the internet was great to get some work done. Lots of people with laptops depending on the time of day.

Best craft coffee I’ve had in Playa. Flat White is my favorite. Excellent food and good prices. Reminds me of artisan coffee shops where I live in Orange County, CA (but way cheaper). Servers are so nice as well. Came here every morning for a week to work remotely. Great atmosphere. I will miss this place!

Just go and get pack 2 (w/ scrambled eggs) and thank me later. I was in PDC for 5 days only and I had a list of 4 other breakfast places, but this was so good to the point where I was there three times. Their coffee is amazing too I tried the iced americano and the iced latte both were so good!!

Quadra Cafe is our favorite choice for breakfast in Playa! Delicious food, great service and prices are good as well! It’s just off the main touristy 5th ave…Highly recommended to everyone to come try it!

This cafe is a beautiful tranquil gem in the busy streets of ctm ave. Came here the other week to see if it could be a candidate for our regular cafe roster and it has definitely made it onto that list! It’s peaceful inside, lots of fans and shade. They have a great selection of delicious buttery pastries and drinks. While their chai latte wasn’t my favourite (hard drink to get right), their smoothies and coffee are top tier. We came back the next week to their salmon bagel and I gotta say, it’s the best one in playa (been here 3 months). Lots of cream cheese, chives, avo and delicious salmon. ✨perfection✨ I want to tell you to come but also want to keep it as our quiet secret cafe 🥲

Best coffee in Playa. Love my Long black and these guys do it spot on. Friendly, clean, and always happy to make me a vegan option even if it's not available on the menu. Dogs are welcome and you can buy their delicious coffee beans to take home, if you need them ground, they'll do that for you. If you love coffee, it's a must.

Cute place. Modern and clean. A plus is they speak English and they have an English menu. The wait staff was super nice and clean. Knowledgeable as well. The food was great. Especially the coffee. I was not a fan of the melon water (hate melons) but I can see other people loving it. The only thing I would be cautious of is the bagel. Not your typical dense bagel. It was lite and crunchy. Just something to look out for. Would totally recommend this place.

Me gusto mucho por la atención, es un lugar tranquilo para relajarse, la alberca muy bien, la comida y las bebidas muy también, las chicas me atendieron excelente, sin duda alguna volvería, lo único malo fue el sargazo en la playa, pero eso no es culpa del establecimiento, sin duda volvería a ir en temporada libre de sargazo, también si no es mucho pedir que agregaran empanadas argentinas en su menú, eso ya es un capricho personal

Quadra Café is one of those quiet, easygoing spots that’s great for when you just want solid specialty coffee without the noise or pretense. I usually go for a French Press, V60, or Chemex, and they almost always have two or three different beans to choose from—each roasted well and handled properly. The coffee’s consistent, smooth, and fairly priced for specialty standards. The space itself is minimalist and bright, with good natural light and calm energy—ideal for working, reading, or zoning out for a bit. Service is relaxed but friendly, and they know their coffee. Overall, it’s a reliable spot in Playa for real coffee drinkers. Nothing flashy—just clean, well-prepared brews done right.

Great vibes and good coffee! The portions for the food aren't great, and we were still hungry after. The smoked salmon bagel was especially disappointing with the amount of salmon. The avocado today was good and the atmosphere was great! Worth visiting, with friends or alone.

Great new spot in playa! The welcoming experience was great. You have to order at the register and not from your table which is a bad way to start, but the coffee made up for it. The food was great and the chill and calm atmosphere is something special. They have lots of healthy options. Everything is clean and staff is friendly. Parking is free on the street.

El lugar es bonito, y la playa está enfrente, el menú no es taaaan variado pero todo lo que pedimos tenía muy buen sabor y presentación. Los baños muy pequeños, no hay regaderas (o al menos yo nunca las vi) y tampoco préstamo de toallas. Yo siempre dejo propina, pero me parece MUY incómodo y de mal gusto exigirla y además que de preferencia se dé en efectivo, al llegar el mesero comenta que el consumo es de mínimo $700 por persona más el 15% de propina mínimo. Notamos que no se ponen de acuerdo en los precios o promociones, una turista nos mencionó que le dieron una bebida de cortesía, cosa que nuestro mesero jamás mencionó y también su consumo mínimo fue diferente.

Sabor de alimentos Bueno , bebidas bien , llegamos cuando faltaba una hora para cerrar y todo lo hicieron apresurado y nosotros pagamos el brazalete de day pass aunque sabíamos que sería solo una hora no teníamos problema con ello pero esa hora nos estuvieron presionando porque cerrarían y nosotros estábamos como entes de ello, aún así dejamos muy buena propina , sugiero paciencia para nacionales y extranjeros , uno nunca sabe cómo q quien trata y PORFAVOR PORFAVOR!! Cambien la hora en su página que ahí decía que cerraban a las 10pm no específica si área de restaurante AHÍ DICE BEACH CLUB 10pm , el mesero me dijo que no que hace mucho ya cierran mas temprano. Regresaremos gracias

Had bagel and avocado toast. Food is fine, bagel is more like brioche bun than a bagel, tastes good. Avo toast was good but nothing too special. On one of them avocado was a bit browned already, had to remove it. The coffee was really bad, had two flat whites with oat milk. Totally not worth it, seems like burnt black coffee with a splash of overheated milk. No foam, no creaminess. Maybe other drink options are better, but if you are not sure how to foam oat milk or there’s no good oat milk, better don’t disappoint people and serve coffee like that. Expected specialty coffee, with a super nice environment, but sadly this it not it.

Pésimo servicio de una señora llamada Azul, junto teníamos a unos extranjeros y los atendieron rapidísimo, nosotros tuvimos que hasta abrir nuestra sombrilla, eso si el 20% forzoso de propina.

Tuve una mala experiencia, me comuniqué a whats app para saber datos sobre su day pass, pregunté si daban toallas, y me comentaron que si al llegar al lugar me comentaron que no daban toallas lo cual pues al tratarse de un Beach club como se supone que me voy a secar ?, no tienen regadera para enjuagarse si uno entra al mar, la comida si está buena recomiendo el aguachile negro, la atención de los meseros es mala, prefieren atender al turista extranjero que al mexicano, vaya nunca me había tocado tan mala atención, tardaron en tomarme la orden, y en siquiera preguntar si me hacía falta algo, el baño tiene un olor desagradable, la Alberca está bien, es de mal gusto que los meseros al cobrar te digan “LA PROPINA DEL 15 % ES LA SUGERIDA” siempre dejo propina a lo que es a mi criterio y normalmente es del 10 % o 15 %, pero es de mal gusto que al cobrar hagan ese comentario, al final dejé el 15 %, cierran a las 6 pm el servicio day pass.
