I dont know why this place hasnt been busier our weekday trip but hoping it gets much busier for them during weekends. We stopped here after our tour bus got in later than expected and our hotels restaurant was closing. It was late 10:30pm and we were hungry and didnt want a wait. There was not a single person there but it looked so eloquent we decided to give a try. The waiter at front was so nice and although he didnt speak any English we had fun using our translations on our phones. Once we decided it could be a place for late night apps we sat to eat. As soon as we did rain came pouring down and they hurried to move us to knew seats that were covered. Anyways we were celebrating our 10 year wed ann and toured 15 hours that day on a bus so wanted something upscale , romantic , charming and relaxing and this place was just that! We thought the workers not speaking english added to its charm after all we are the foreigners coming to mexico to enjoy its authenticity! We loved the food and the very sweet apple martinis and the saxophone was a nice mood setter! For whatever reason this was slow during our stay (maybe language barrier?) but do not skip this restaurant , you will not be disappointed!

Just OK Calamari had zero seasoning, with some lime and salt we salvaged the app. ...Shrimp taco app was OK. We didn't care for the fried shrimp and wet-greasy corn shell. She did not finish or like hed rizzuto and said it tasted like day old pasta that sat out. We had to ask for bread, that came in a brown paper bag and looked like the torn left over pieces. The presentation of dishes and setting was good and server seemed to be trying, when he was available. They automatically added 20% for the tip - Not cool. I always tip good and preffer a choice. Unfortunately it seems like a common way on the strip to ding the tourists and supplement the pay of their wait staff. Boooo - bad business! For what it was - 4 star is for the presentation and setting. Food and value; probably 3.5 -3.75 stars. It is what it is. 12.29.18 day after response to owner: Thank You to the owner responding. We do feel better for that. Understandably things can happen and dishes vary. The fact that you personally took time to consider a response shows you care about your customers and I will try out your restaurant again. The waiter said his name was Roberto. I can assure you there was absolutely no choice in this tip and he went through the bill with me as if it were standard. Already being being very dissatisfied with Mi Pueblo for automatically adding 15% earlier in the day, I just took the beating. We have also understood this to be a common event on the tourist strip. It is really a negative reflection on the establishment and should be abandoned and discouraged for the sake of good business. Again, we are generous for service and this is totally not necessary as most tourist tip well between 15 and 25%.

Ok viaje familiar, mi esposa, mi hijo de 3 años y mis padres (ES importante llegar hasta el final). Esta en la quinta así que siempre hay bullicio, más de noche. Pedimos pizza a un coste 290 la pizza promedio. Si eres amante de la pizza como yo ni te sientes. No te dejes llevar por el ambiente, la buena música en vivo (5 estrellas para el saxofonista que tienen ambientando) o la decoración del lugar: la pizza no es una opción, la masa parece de supermercado y los ingredientes... baratos. Tome un negroni: Bien, sin más. Lo peor de la experiencia fue en el cobro... como decía venimos en familia: Yo vivo en México pero soy español, mis padres son 100% turistas. Mi mujer es de CDMX... Nos agregaron la propina directamente a la cuenta sin tener la diferencia de preguntar... Muy poco elegante. Nos quedamos indignados pq ni mi mujer ni yo somos turistas y sabiendo que la propina es opcional nos dijeron "así son las cosas aquí"... Fue muy incómodo. Lo peor que cuando se dieron cuenta que eramos de la CDMX nos quitaron la propina. La cuenta para 4 fue de 1990 pesos (sin propina para ellos, pero sí les dimos a sus músicos).

I came for wine and piano. It’s a beautiful restaurant and I love the piano playing. The white wine quality was very poor and the pour size was quite small. on top of that the service was extremely slow and she never came to check to see if I liked the wine. On top of that then they added a suggested tip and tried to pass it off as “tax”. I won’t come here for wine again.

Otra decepción más de 5ta avenida, creo que es una regla general que los restaurantes de esta famosa calle sean muy malos y muy caros y este no es la excepción. Una sangría muy ácida y casi tibia, lasaña con puré de tomate del monte, pasta media cruda, servicio simpático pero se queda corto. No vengan.

A pesar de que el horario es a las 2 am el domingo acudimos en familia a cenar a las 10pm ordemanos y por más de una hora esperamos hasta que pregunte por la comida y nadie sabía que decir. La hostess solo comento que no tenían los ingredientes y que habían ido a la mercadería!!! ( A las 11 pm??) La ensalada cesar la mandaron sin pollo ni crutones. Terminaron por no cobrarla porque obvio solo mandaron lechuga con aderezo y parmesano. Y cuando pones una queja dicen que lamenta mi percepción Pero no resuelven nada. Pésimo lugar lo recomiendo CERO!!!

Los alimentos tardaron más de una hora, cuando nos levantamos de la mesa a preguntar que pasaba dijeron que fueron a la mercadería a comprar los insumos,( imaginen cuánto tardaron en ir al super ) y además nos dijeron que solo tenían una persona en la cocina, tuvimos que estar insistiendo para que llegara la comida y al final la ensalada cesar nos dijeron que no había pollo ni crutones, ya nadie se quería acercar a nuestra mesa de la vergüenza que tenían de que saben que se pasaron. Beautiful looking spot with ambient music. However restaurant empty apart from one other table which we should have taken as a sign. Orders were taken with nothing written down, we were a party of 4 2 pizzas arrived and one salad. We had to ask for the missing food but almost wish we hadn't. There was a wait for the other 2 pizzas during which time half the party finished their meals. The pizzas were a combination of burnt and doughy and toppings not as described, the vegetarian was mostly carrot batons which have no place on a pizza. Our server followed this shambles up by repeatedly asking for tip.

Tell me it was an off day. Wow, one blunder after another. I ordered a half pizza, Cesar salad and a couple glasses of wine. The pizza came out before the salad and at best it was warm. It truly tasted like they pulled it out of the display and partially warmed it up. Did not have jalapeños like I requested. Mexico is known for inventing the Cesar salad and I’m sure Cesar was rolling around in his grave. In addition to the quality being subpar it came out with chicken which I did not order and again after the pizza. The Chardonnay had a funky taste. The bill came and they they put the tip on there automatically. Pretty heavy handed. And no I won’t return so you can make it better. Blah! 😒

SAVE YOUR TIME, SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Unfortunatelly, it is very rare for me to give a bad review. This one, was totally earned. We stopped for dinner as a birthday celebration, 2 people to make it clear. The place seem aceptable on line for the late night options around the area. The wine we ordered, only one glass, had a vinegar smell, and tasted really off. It was a Pinot Grigio, the server asure it was a fresh bottle, that was a red flag but we believed him. Every plate were below average, flavors really off. Mussels looked reheated and with a rubber flavor. Bruschetta, just a simple bread with chopped tomato. Not an actual bruschetta. By the time we got the main course, 2 tables finished their dinners and left, our plates took over 50 minutes to make it to the table. Spaghetti overcooked, and dry, seemed it stayed under the light in the kitchen (or maybe reheated in a convection oven), and the steak I ordered, raw in some pieces. We couldn't finish any dish. I got charged on my credit card with the tip, and most of the time I tip in cash. I asked to redo the transaction so I can tip in cash. So my credit card got runned a second time. And never void the previous transaction. Totaling over two hundred and twenty dollars. So I got charged 2 times on my credit card for a dinner we didn't had. Of course I am disputing the transactions now. But the experience wasn't worth it at all. I feel bad because this experiences just make me feel they just take advantage of the tourists instead to make the things right. I hope to resolve the issue or they will have to have a friendly talk with my attorney. One more thing, I do speak spanish, all the communication was clear from the start. So, if you don't understand spanish, do not chance it.

Service was not it. Took forever to get us seated and to take our order. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chipotle cream sauce. They brought me a bland cream fettuccine. I let the waiter know this wasn’t what I ordered. He took it to the kitchen and the chef said they’re out of chipotle and brought out pepper flakes. I had to dress up this bland plate with salt, pepper, and pepper flakes and it was still awful. 100% do not recommend
