Our group had an amazing time! Such a fun restaurant, with great decor, atmosphere and open air dining. Food was 10/10 great and the mango margarita was delicious (i had 3!). Washrooms were clean and staff especially Jorge ♥️ were so welcoming and provided outstanding service! Highly recommend for a drink and or a bite if you are shopping fifth avenue.

This place is great, I don’t know why it doesn’t have higher reviews. Possibly it closed and reopened again as the sign is different on the photos. We came here twice, the first time we got guacamole which was made fresh at our table. The second time, we got Mexican stone bowl dish, which was delicious. I feel like this is a lot more authentic Mexican food than you get at a lot of the places in Playa del Carmen, but the sign doesn’t suggest that when you walk past - we discovered it by accident. The staff are super friendly, proper characters! Highly recommended.

Mexican restaurant & bar on the second floor. It is a covered rooftop with open sides. Great location on 5th ave close to the bus station; perfect spot to have a cerveza, bask in the atmosphere and watch life unfold down 5th ave after coming off the bus. El lugar es bonito, y la playa está enfrente, el menú no es taaaan variado pero todo lo que pedimos tenía muy buen sabor y presentación. Los baños muy pequeños, no hay regaderas (o al menos yo nunca las vi) y tampoco préstamo de toallas. Yo siempre dejo propina, pero me parece MUY incómodo y de mal gusto exigirla y además que de preferencia se dé en efectivo, al llegar el mesero comenta que el consumo es de mínimo $700 por persona más el 15% de propina mínimo. Notamos que no se ponen de acuerdo en los precios o promociones, una turista nos mencionó que le dieron una bebida de cortesía, cosa que nuestro mesero jamás mencionó y también su consumo mínimo fue diferente.

We were seeking local restaurants in Playa de Carmen. This was the one out of two restaurants we checked out that didn't increased their prices due to their hot/popular location. We ordered our drinks and guacamole immediately. The portion size resulted from 2 avocados seem smaller to me but I may be wrong. I ended up ordering twice. Then we ordered our main dish a few minutes later while we enjoying our appetizer. The service wait for the main dish was longer than usual. Ordinarly we would probably order another drink while waiting but we refused their offer. There is no drink menu. You may request a drink and if they have the ingredients, they will prepare it. My partner designed a margarita and it was good. In general, food was good. The tortillas were thinner in my opinion for tacos and usually in cases like that other restaurants I've been to will double them but they didn't. As a result, it took away from enjoying the full taco-eating experience. Our waiter was good; no bad experience there. There are performers/musicians who come around to play for each table and they request a tip. If you want a show, go for it. They will play 1-2 songs. But if you don't want a show, make sure you politely and firmly decline their offer as soon as they walk up to your table. Beware they may try to have you touch one of their authentic instruments to get you to change your mind. Additionally, if you have a big party of over 4 people, one person cannot solely be the tiper. They will ask the others at the table to contribute. There is also a photographer on-site. He will take a picture for your party at your table. Beware, the picture is not free. Although, he may state it is just to allure you. If you want the picture, get it. It's a nice souvenir of that night, however, if you don't want to purchase the picture, politely decline and walk away. Don't even look at the picture. The restaurant is on the top floor. There's a nice patio area. There are stairs and no elevators. The bathrooms were as neat as they could be. There's only one per gender. My rating is based on the overall experience with every factor taking into consideration. If you're in the downtown area of Playa del Carmen near the ferry entrance and you're looking for a Mexican restaurant without the touristic price, check them out just make sure you fully read this review prior to it. Pésimo servicio de una señora llamada Azul, junto teníamos a unos extranjeros y los atendieron rapidísimo, nosotros tuvimos que hasta abrir nuestra sombrilla, eso si el 20% forzoso de propina.

Tuve una mala experiencia, me comuniqué a whats app para saber datos sobre su day pass, pregunté si daban toallas, y me comentaron que si al llegar al lugar me comentaron que no daban toallas lo cual pues al tratarse de un Beach club como se supone que me voy a secar ?, no tienen regadera para enjuagarse si uno entra al mar, la comida si está buena recomiendo el aguachile negro, la atención de los meseros es mala, prefieren atender al turista extranjero que al mexicano, vaya nunca me había tocado tan mala atención, tardaron en tomarme la orden, y en siquiera preguntar si me hacía falta algo, el baño tiene un olor desagradable, la Alberca está bien, es de mal gusto que los meseros al cobrar te digan “LA PROPINA DEL 15 % ES LA SUGERIDA” siempre dejo propina a lo que es a mi criterio y normalmente es del 10 % o 15 %, pero es de mal gusto que al cobrar hagan ese comentario, al final dejé el 15 %, cierran a las 6 pm el servicio day pass.

Wish I had seen the reviews previously. The host Hugo is friendly and will give you shots of tequila that you don’t ask for, and they will end up on your bill. An extra €40 on the bill that we never asked. And they tell you after your meal, that they don’t take card. I was escorted by the chef to the nearest ATM (he waited outside ) to withdraw the money. Most expensive meal we’ve had in our two weeks here. Absolute scam. Stay away.

Would give it 0 stars if I could! If you are a tourist do not go here. They will scam you. We had margaritas, and got charged for 4 when we asked for 3. Mind you the waiter drank the 4th one! After going back and forth we ended up paying $70 USD for 3 margaritas.

Horrible experience!! ordered chicken tacos and they came out cold, so when i asked for it to be reheated it never came back, my mom also ordered the enchiladas, they came out cold and they just microwaved the same plate. Never received the tamales we ordered and waited 30+ minutes for. When the check came they tried to sneak in a "service fee" which was an extra 190 pesos, Do NOT eat here, it's a tourist trap!!!
