Only Americans inside - food was good, service was friendly & patient. Not a lot of English but cheaper than 5th ave! Spicy af hot sauce, to be tried sparingly at first, but great on tacos. Recommended!

This is a great mid sized family restaurant/sports bar just off the strip in PDC . Very extensive menu with a great variety of Mexican and American cuisine. The buffalo wings are amazing, chicken nachos are loaded. Prices are more than fair considering the amount of of food and beverages. Very busy, but worth the wait. I would definitely recommend.

Authentic Mexican food that you will love! Restaurant menu is full of options and the portions are large. Be prepared to wait a bit for seating and maybe your meal, when it gets busy, the service can slow.

Very good sports bar in PDC. Sometimes even showing American sports if you are visiting from US and looking for a particular game to watch. The chorizo tacos and molletes are delicious. They also have a really good happy hour deal for 2 for 1 drinks!

This place is hopping! And with good cause - the food is muy delicioso. They have a varied selection, so eat to your heart’s & tummy’s content😃. Special mention to the Chorizo y Papa con Quezo taco and the calamari con ajo y mantequilla. Dang but they are soooooo good! Please come & try these, if not the other fares on the menu. Reasonably priced, too! Bonus points if you love sports, say NFL😃because they have several TVs showing the games. Come between 6-8pm and it’s hora feliz. Order food and you get 2 drinks for the price of 1👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. Oh they make you wash your hands with the sink right outside the door. All servers wear masks, shields and gloves.

I want to update this review as I gave La Taberna a second chance. On occasion, people need a second chance. I returned to the restaurant and received a different service and perhaps I will put my first experience down to a communication issue. Having now returned to the restaurant multiple times, I can state that the food is excellent and the service was impeccable. The point here, is that be clear when you ask for something and expect to receive what you actually ordered. The staff are fluent in English and of course Spanish so practice your Spanish beforehand. I have decided to delete the previous bad review as perhaps it was a little unfair of me and we are always quick to judge. Please do try it for yourself. Buena atención, el lugar tiene clima y es bastante agradable, es de ambiente familiar. Tiene un menú bastante extenso y los precios son muy accesibles. Probamos las alitas y les damos un 7/10 no son las mejores, pero no están tan mal. Vamos a volver para probar mas cosas del menú.

Con el afán de experimentar ya que las opiniones estaban divididas entre un buen y mal servicio, me animé. Mi experiencia: fue agradable, lugar con clima, la atención fue buena pero nada fuera de lo normal; buscábamos alitas y como tal no es un lugar dedicado a eso por lo que en ese momento solo tenían sabor Buffalo, la porción estaba bien y las alitas de buen tamaño, fueron rápidos. La propina viene sugerida más no la cobran de sí o sí.

Bonito lugar, comida y servicio muy bien., lo único que fuimos y estaba lleno y ocuparon la mesa de billar como mesa de servicio y había sido una de las principales razones por la que fuimos.

We ordered Molcajete Azteca and cactus salad and were really satisfied with both dishes. The cactus salad was super fresh. The sauce in Molcajete was simply delicious paired with the warm and soft tortillas.

Great food and buffalo wings! I wish they were a bit more fat but the sauce is amazing! Great because it's not as expensive as the 5th and the staff is way more kind! It's the place to come for any sports final! :)

We stopped here for a quick lunch. BBQ fried chicken was alright but unfortunately the reason we came here - Jalapeños Rellenos- cheese stuffed Jalapeños, wasn't good enough. Not spicy and tasteless. There is a good choice of beer and cocktails.

When we travel here we love to eat here. Great atmosphere. Although it is a bar, it is a family friendly environment. Quick service, great food and great a/c!!! Prices really amazing! Huge portions. Cheese stix are made with gouda, so if you dont want that, dont get them. Nothing taken off bill just because you dont like it.

Fuimos a este lugar porque teníamos ganas de jugar billar y cuando llegamos las mesas de billar estaban ocupadas y había gente comiendo en ellas pese que pedí varias veces usar una mesa cuando se desocuparan me dijeron que no sería posible, pedimos entonces un juego de mesa que se tardaron mucho en llevar y que tuve que pedirlo varias veces hasta que lo llevaron, nos pidieron un depósito de 100 pesos por usar el juego y no nos lo devolvieron. Por lo demás el lugar está bien, la comida también.

La Taberna es un lugar muy cómodo, con bebidas muy buenas y la comida riquísima. Mi familia y yo hemos ido durando años a ese lugar. Sin embargo el servicio ha empezó a ser decadente y pésimo. Entiendo que tienen mucha gente y que los meseros están ocupados pero para hablarles si les levantas la mano por qué no se han acercado en un tiempo largo te IGNORAN, o hacen como que no te ven y la dan prioridad a los extranjeros. Para pedirles algo te voltean la cara como si les hicieras un favor, cuando estás consumiendo. Y al momento de la cuenta se tardan sin mentir como 30 minutos en llevártela y eso después de 03 veces que la pedimos. Si quieres pagar con tarjetas separadas simplemente te dicen que NO y que solo se aceptan dos. Entiendo que es más complicado pero al inicio se les pidió que la cuenta fuera separada y la respuesta igual fue un NO.

Todo bien con el servicio, pero la bbq no sabe a bbq, el blue cheese o ranch igual no está tan bueno Las bebidas y Los precios están bien

La comida estuvo bien, buen precio, tienen promociones diarias, ambiente familiar, su único punto débil es tu atención al cliente, tardaron buen rato en traernos el menú y otro rato en tomarnos la orden, los meseros estaban más concentrados en mesas grandes que en parejas.

La comida es buena, pero tengan cuidado ya que este establecimiento anota tus datos del INE, si a alguien más le sucedió pueden levantar un reporte en INAI, si se puede pedir INE al pagar con tarjeta pero por ley no pueden almacenar nuestros datos como clientes

Los precios son accesibles, la atención es pésima. La comida es regular, la papa al horno es hervida y la comida demasiado condimentada. Lo único que estuvo aceptable fueron los nachos con arrachera. No volvería a acudir.

Called and asked how much to play pool, the guy said $200 pesos/hour plus I have to buy food and drinks. That is pretty damn expensive to play pool, looking at around $40 for an hour of pool.

We were here to watch a sports game and have some drinks. Something we had been doing at many other bars all week. We were told that we needed to order food to get drinks. We had just eaten dinner and were all full. They let us wait 30 mins before ordering and then later on we needed to order more food. We ended up getting the potato skins and onion rings and my theory for this requirement, that doesn't exist most places, is their food is so awful it's the only way they can get rid of it. Bar food isn't that hard nor has high expectations. None in our group ate more than one bite of the onion rings. The dip, the onion, the breading, all the worst I've ever had. The drinks are pretty cheap until you consider food cost you didn't want. They were quick on the service and nice bathrooms were the only plus.

The prices in this restaurant are affordable, but the food is very disappointing. We ordered chicken burgers, and the meat was so tough that it was almost impossible to bite through. As for the ingredients inside, you basically get the plate garnish, which you have to assemble yourself and season with mayo or ketchup—a very poor choice, in my opinion. We also tried the chicken nachos, which I ended up leaving after a few bites. They were overloaded with a pea sauce that I personally dislike. The chicken was barely noticeable, just a small amount placed on top, while the nachos themselves were bland and lacked any real flavor. Overall, I was not satisfied. If you’re hungry, don’t waste your money on this place.

Pésimo , la comida no tiene sabor, las porciones no son buenas con el precio y aún así el servicio deja mucho que desear, se tardan en atender y la comida tarda en llegar… sin dejar de lado que te piden si o si el 16% de propina, no lo recomiendo.

NO COMAN AQUÍ. El servicio es pésimo, llegamos y lo primero que pasó fue que nos regañaron por sentarnos en una mesa, el mesero tenía una actitud nefasta, la comida llegó bien pero no era la mejor, finalmente al pagar, si lo haces con Tarjeta no te cobran sino muestras una identificación y al dársela anota datos de esta sin preguntarte, a pesar de su mal servicio dejé el 10% de propina y se molestó el mesero, así que tengan cuidado con este lugar.

Service good, but kitchen not really enjoyable food. Small portion, and for a tortilla with beef it come with nothing. No salads no vegtable inside. Strange.. Mexican tacos in the street is much more delicious food than 300 pesos and stay hungry in this restaurant.
