Top notch service, selection, and food! We sampled several delightful items in the menu including the rib eye steak and rack of lamb. Literally melted in your mouth! The baked potato was so delicious and not made with the typical baking potato, but rather what seemed to be a butter potato. So yummy! We loved the lobster Mac n Cheese, the Caribbean lobster soup, rib eye crisps, and the bread they serve. Most things were accompanied by a well fitting homemade sauce of some sort. Heavenly! And don’t get me started on the guacamole that the rib eye crisps were presented on. Best guacamole my husband & I have ever had. We are here to celebrate our anniversary and our waiter even had the chef prepare a special dessert for us of chocolate soufflé and ice cream. Everything was so magical and beautiful. They even have a gentleman who will come to your table and make margaritas for you, but not just “typical” margaritas. There were so many flavor options including passion fruit and mango. We even watched him char an ingredient with open flame and then drop it into the drink. Our favorite restaurant in the States is going to have to step up their game! We also enjoyed a beautiful view of the Caribbean Ocean from our table. I highly recommend an evening at Quinto.

Atmosphere: Excellent for a nice dinner. Staff is Friendly and very attentive. the willingness to accommodate was superb. Food. The flamed Ribeye was cooked perfectly. (this dish is intended for 2). Flamed at table side with your choice off spirit. Very tender and juicy. The risotto was very good with an intense and bold flavor from the truffles. The salad "Endivias and pears" with champagne vinaigrette. very nice flavor similar to Italian vinaigrette. Empanadas. Flaky dough fried perfectly. Not sure about the cheese combination. However, still good. Overall an excellent experience

Fernando and Enrique provided top notch service. They met all of our family's needs. They were so attentive and polite. They were patient with my children as they decided what they wanted to drink. The food was delicious. Definitely our favorite breakfast site on the property.

Breakfast: The breakfast buffet is the best one we tried while visiting the Vidanta resorts. There was plenty of sweet and savory to choose from. Dinner: The food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. We were first seated inside but the air conditioner was blowing full blast on our table so they moved us to the patio. A bit later, a huge storm came in. The staff quickly lowered the shades but everyone was still getting wet so they brought us shalls and moved us inside. Sadly, the storm was so bad that water started coming in to the restaurant. However, the staff went to work handling it and still took care of the customers. The food, ambiance and staff were all great!

Javier and his assistant were phenomenal! The food was so delicious. If you go here, get the steak! It's their specialty. Add chimichurri. I recommend the broccoli as a side. It's enough for the whole table! I had the surf and turf, it was the best steak but the lobster tail was ok. I also had Brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were good but a bit sour. Sides are a la carte. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful views overlooking the ocean accompanied an incredible meal. We had a local Mexican Cabernet, and the specialty drinks are made in front of you. Great experience!

The breakfast buffet at Quinto was absolutely amazing. The decor was simple yet elegant. This spacious and cozy restaurant, Quinto, has a staircase giving patrons a unique view of their dining experience. The food was great and as usual the waiters were exceptional! I look forward to the next time.

Expensive, as expected for a steakhouse at a resort... BUT WORTH IT!!! From the atmosphere, the service, and the food, it was outstanding. Not an every night affair, but highly recommended for a special dinner during your stay at Vidanta Riviera Maya.

OMGosh! Went for the breakfast buffet and couldn't get enough!! I've been to breakfast buffets all around the world and this is tops! All the prepared meats and salad were perfectly savory. I know servers and wait staff are supposed to smile, but this staff was very authentic. Will definitely be back!

Really good steak house on the Vidanta resort property. While we had several good meals at Salum restaurants, we decided to do a special night and dine at the steak house. Steak was excellent and the sides were delicious. The clam soup was a yummy broth poured over clams. The mac and cheese and risotto were generous in their servings and we ended up taking them as left overs to eat the next morning.

Here in off season. Opened El Qunito early for only us. Manager left the restaurant to come to adjacent bar where he had us wait. Not common fare. Displayed all the cuts of steak and explained them. Grilled broccoli and asparagus with two sauces. Chef desserts paired unusual ingredients together.

Food was marvelous as were the staff and the manager each time we went to this restaurant during our week. We loved the lamb chops, lobster Mac and cheese, brie appetizer, and creamed spinach+feta. Gorgeous view and cocktails!

The breakfast buffet was as beautiful as it was delicious. The server we had was one of the most hospitable people I've ever met. I forgot his name but my friend said he reminds him of curly from the three stooges

Great food. New restaurant at the resort that focuses on steak. The most unique thing we saw on the menu was bone marrow risotto and wagyu steak. We were able to get a same day reservation for 630PM through the concierge service.

Quinto was delicious! My ribeye was prepared exactly as I ordered it and the roasted brussel sprouts were amazing! Add to it the nice ambience...it's worth the trip. Only thing that would have made Quinto even better was some background music.

The BEST meal of the whole vacation! The staff were courteous & attentive. Marco made wonderful speciality margueritas! For an appetizer we shared the Rib eye crisp. The rib eye melted in your mouth & the spicy guacamole was a perfect compliment. Petit filets for entrees were perfectly cooked & accompanied with mash potatoes & maple glazed Brussels sprouts . Overall a great meal & atmosphere

The breakfast buffet was amazing especially if you had a discount. it was worth every penny. We ate out final dinner there and had the clam chowder and it was amazing. They spared no ingredient as well as put their heart into that steak and lamb. I will say being in Mexico my stomach did not agree in lamb but I truly enjoyed it everytime I ate it. We were celebrating our honeymoon and it was well worth the price. They gifted us a dessert tray which was beautifully made a tasted amazing.

I have to say that this restaurant at the resort was by far the best restaurant we have eaten at in many years it was the only restaurant that had good wine in the whole Resort and had an excellent staff. I'm in the restaurant business and the manager and the staff are very well trained and very well supervised. The food was excellent here as well as the atmosphere. The building is air-conditioned which makes things much more pleasant the food was definitely the best quality at the whole Resort. I would give this restaurant 10 Stars if I could and the management and staff the wine was good we had the Santo Tomas wind and another Chilean wine which was excellent. My wife and I are real foodies so it is very important that you eat at this restaurant you will not be disappointed I guarantee it this will pull a bad day into a good day trust me. The buffet in the morning was amazing to at this location has everything you would expect at a buffet if you want to order bacon you just let him know you would like bacon. If you want something special then we'll make it for you.

I sussed out this restaurant prior to my arrival from the UK and it didn't disappoint I ate here twice during my stay once with a random couple I got speaking to and again the following evening solo the food is fantastic and the service is impeccable sadly I can't return to the resort for another 3 years but when I do return I'll be sure to visit this restaurant

We had an excellent dinner here. Prices are expensive but the food and atmosphere is worth it. Service was very good also (Jorge was our server).

Chef Charlie and staff cooked the rare steak and the shrimp perfectly! The small sorbet cones were a lovely end to the meal. Tonatiuh and Hose were excellent servers.

Staying at Grand Bliss & had the most out dinner & service tonight. Consider yourself fortunate if Francisco is your server. Our Spanish is limited to ordering cerveza & counting to 20 (pathetic I know) and he was so helpful & knowledgeable. Ok…not a good time to give up carbs because the bread service is fantastic. Who can turn down a personalized Bar cart with specialty cocktails? Not us! Beautifully crafted. Delicious food & a great menu. A must while at Vidanta. General Manager Manuel stopped by our table 2x and was genuinely interested in our feedback. I was so full I could barely talk!!

Absolutely beautiful. The food was excellent, and the view of the ocean was gorgeous. Alfredo was our host for the evening. He is very knowledgeable about all of the delicious entrees and also, was able to accommodate some of my restrictions. Will definitely go back for another dinner on our next Mexico vacation.

Our server Angel was beyond amazing! I was super surprised to learn that he was only 2 months into being a waiter. His attention to detail, customer service, and courteous attitude made the night even better, after the PHENOMENAL food! This place is a MUST visit!

Delicious food and excellent service. The only issue was that it was really cold inside the building, especially since we were dressed for a warm evening out. However, and thankfully, our waiter accommodated us and raised the thermostat setting and it wasn't so cold. Again, delicious food and excellent service!

My favorite restaurant on the Vidanta property in Playa Del Carmen. It's the only place we went twice during our stay. All the meals we had were outstanding, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere was elegant.

Fernando was our server, and he was amazing. Incredibly fast, polite, and informative. We sat upstairs and shared the meal, including the surf and turf. The food was good, but not as great as the price indicates. Bottled water, 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 side, 1 glass of wine, and 1 coke were $170. Atmosphere is very pretty, like most of the resort, but a little humid and stuffy.

Excellent service, nice ambiance. Clam chowder and beef soup were excellent. NY strip steak and salmon were good but the 25 oz. rib eye lacked flavor and was mostly fat!

The service and food was delicious..we had steaks one Ribeye, and the other NY Strip. Sides were enough to share, and the 🍷 we ordered was very good. I would've given a five star, but my steak was cooked slightly medium rare; instead of medium, they had to cook it a little more.

The food here was pretty good. The staff was extremely friendly as well. Our son was 1 year old at the time and they helped us carry our stroller up to the top floor. The view from the top floor is amazing. Over all good experience. Here are the things that I think could be improved. 1 - the prices are expensive for the food that you get. 2 - there were flies all over the place :/ when we sat down there weren’t any. But for some reason they needed to leave the deck doors open which gradually let one fly in at a time. They really bugged the people at the table next to us and they ask they waiter to close the deck doors and he said they couldn’t because.... no valid reason. So by the end of the night we were all swatting flies away from our meals. That was annoying. I wish the experience was better. Because the price was top dollar.

Fernando and Nico attended us very well. My NY strip was a touch past medium rare which was fine. But the cut of meat was not worth 950MX, too much gristle. However it was tasty and my wife's filet was very good. Overall, over-priced meat but maybe that's the going rate... Meh...

N
Nasiri Suzan

The grouper and mashed potatoes were good. The shrimp was so overcooked the tails wouldn't come off and they were so tough you couldn't bite into them. The grilled vegetables were cold. I sent them back. When they returned them to me, the wood platter was hot and the vegetables were still cold. I sent them back with the shrimp. My bill was $50 for fish, potatoes, and a martini. Beautiful interior. Overrated!!! Save your money.

Steak was adequate. Not great. Cesar salad is fantastic. My wife had lamb which was also mediocre at best. Many places with better value for sure

This is my 3rd time at this restaurant over the last 4 years. The first time was so amazing that I came back... And then when that was disappointing I gave them a pass and tried again this year. Nope. I guess maybe the good experience was the one off. We ordered the cheese empanadas... Those had the potential to be the best things we ate, but the dough was too thick and a bit overcooked so they were hard to swallow. The grilled oysters were underwhelming. The Cesar Cardini, which apparently just means it's served with a raw egg on top, was similarly not great, lacked any trace of anchovy, and was served without cracked pepper. We ordered 3 steaks, the ribeye was a grocery store thin cut with a lot of the silver skin fat, the two filets were ok but definitely not real steak house quality (and my med rare was definitely rare), maybe they could qualify for outback quality. The bearnaise sauce was inedible and the chili herb butter tasted like chili oil... Which is fine, I like chili oil, but it's not what was advertised. I also originally ordered the rack of lamb (since apparently they don't offer sirloin cap anymore) and was advised that they might have sold out (even though our reservation was like an hour after they opened and there were barely any other tables seated) but that he would check and could I give a backup? However, he never came back to tell me whether or not that was the case, so I had no idea until the food came that I was not getting my original order. I guess to round this out, the asparagus was bad, hard, and old. I couldn't bite through them. The risotto was really good but served cold. The wine had been left open too long and turned mostly to vinegar, and the s'more chocolate cake was one of the worst desserts we've had since we've been here... Even though they used a torch on the marshmallows, they did not melt or soften at all and it seemed like maybe they ran out of the normal chocolate cake with salted caramel advertised and replaced it with some sort of chocolate ganache covered fruit jello thing that did not pair well. Overall, $400 down the drain on a barely passable meal. Even my teenager wasn't happy. He finished half of his Mac n cheese and asked if he could leave... Plus they charged over $10 a bottle for their water bottles. Gamble on this place at your own risk.

Please read this review, and my goal is not to trash this restaurant, but our experience was absolutely horrific. For two people, it cost $360 with drinks, and we could have gotten a better meal at Outback Steakhouse. The ribeye steak was chewy and resembled something you'd find at a grocery store for about $15 USD, yet it cost me $90. It was very thin and tough, and despite ordering it medium rare, it came out medium. When I brought this up to the waiter, he brought out the same piece, extremely rare, and then even rarer on the second attempt. The manager's assessment that it was medium rare and I could tell he was lying to me so he didn’t have to deal with me anymore. Additionally, the steak was tough and thin. The lobster tail was overcooked, chewy, and had a fishy smell. At the very least, I expected them to comp the steak, but they didn't. Instead, the waiter had the audacity to ask for an additional tip. I suppose this is what you get when you dine at a steakhouse in Mexico, but the manager's handling of the situation was inadequate, and the food left much to be desired. I highly recommend you eat at a different restaurant. Not sure how this place got this many stars. Please don’t eat there

This rating was difficult to decide on because truly the food was delicious which would have merited 4-5 stars, however that evening I had food poisoning illness from the “daily catch”. Both the fish and lobster tail were a little rough which should have been a warning sign. I should add that I ate local food throughout the trip off site from Vidanta resort and was completely fine. This is the only meal and most expensive meal that made me sick. My husband and I ordered different menu items but shared everything except the catch of the day and I was the only one violently ill later that night and all through the next day. The servers were extremely kind. The restaurant did not make attempts to remedy the loss of time and money after this experience which is why I have a 3 star rating on service. Atmosphere was beautiful. The prices are expensive.
