The service there is phenomenal first and foremost. They are friendly and on top of it. They have good attitudes and are very helpful! The food takes a touch to make. That’s ok. It’s tasty. It’s a nice place to enjoy something like a solid cheeseburger classic cut fries and a classic beverage. The food itself is really good. This is better than any fast food chain that sells burgers for sure. They have plenty of good atmosphere in their dining room. Classic music with a real drive in feel to it. When you can, go check it. The service is great. Not like other places you’re used to, they’ll actually make you feel like a human.

I liked the simple and clear menu, that made me easier to choose my food. We had a pleasant meal there, because the service team members showed warm hospitality, and happy mood.

I haven't been to an in and out in ages. As expected, there was a well organized line at the drive through. An outside employee took our order. We proceeded to the payment window, then on to the food delivery window. After picking up our hamburgers we parked a bit away from the restaurant to eat. The burgers were delicious, even better than I remembered! Thanks to the employees at this location. Well done, guys. 😀

Even with the famously long In-N-Out line, the staff was efficient and the service was excellent. The burgers and fries were hot and fresh, hitting the spot perfectly. My only suggestion would be to try dining inside if possible, as the drive-thru line was quite lengthy. Still, worth the wait!

We drive thru this In N Out probably ~2x a month and while the lines can get long we have always had excellent service and food here. The food quality is always fresh and the people are always energetic and polite.

I have many great things to say about this location, from someone who resides in Bay Point, this location and the Pittsburg are my go-to when it comes to eating a nice burger and fries for a good price. I have noticed many miniscule differences that separate this location from its nearby competitors, and I can tell you why it is so much busier than others as well. The customer service is elite. During my last visit, I walked in and there were 2 workers taking all the orders, Andre and Jeremy. There were at least 12 people Infront of me and they got through the line so fast and when it was finally time to receive my order, I was expecting both the workers to be all tired and drained from the line they just got through, but Jeremy and Andre both had visible happiness radiating from them that even my wife complimented Jeremy on his smile and she told me afterwards its clear the type of youth they hire are people like Andre and Jeremy. It took me a good 20 minutes to receive my 4 meals, 1 3x3 meal, 3x double double meals, with 4 milkshakes. When I went up to receive my food, I believe his name was Gabriel or Angel (Don't remember well) made sure to offer all sorts of condiments from ketchup to chilies and mustard. One thing that I think this location can definitely work on is cleanliness, but it is understandable that with the high volume of customers they receive day in and day out the reason why its dirty, some people just don't have the manners to clean up a little mess they made! Overall, I would love to compliment this entire In N out team on how great they are, how focused they are on providing the best customer service and food, and its impressive to see how they all work as a team and move like one big machine, kudos to the all the managers that are in charge of running it and hiring the right people to keep it running smooth.

I’ve never reviewed a fast food restaurant. I’m more of a Michelin star reviewer. The food at In-N-Out Burger is always fresh well prepared and served by excellent people who have a smile on their face. There is no secret why the line at In-N-Out is always a mile long. Kim and the team were rock stars today! We arrived at 11:02 AM (they opened at 10:30 AM) and the store was already pretty busy. We walked into and ordered 19 burgers (all different toppings), 19 fries, and 16 drinks to-go (we provided a printed list) and brought our own large boxes for transport. We waited only 26 minutes (AH-MAZING) for our order - everything was correct, well packaged, and organized. Thank you so much for feeding our group of hungry college student leaders!

BUT Beware of the customers (like the car in front of me pictured) in the drive through that don’t know how to read the signs that say there are two lanes that merge into one. Everyone knows how busy it is at In n Out and the line is built this way to prevent cars from blocking traffic. So, be aware and read the signs before honking and making us all mad. If you’re coming to this location, read the signs. Don’t be the person who doesn’t understand how merging and traffic rules work. Other than this - the In N Out Pleasant Hill location is great!

I don't get the popularity of in N out, I'm sorry. I went to this location the other night, got my food to go, ate it immediately in the car, and it was... Fine. I can't give below a 4* rating because the service is *excellent*, but waiting in line for that long for a bang-average burger and fries seems crazy to me. To the people who work here - great job! Always the friendliest and most professional fast food workers.

This is an extremely busy in n out. Very loud. It's hard to find a seat. Great service. The dining room and bathroom were clean. Parking was difficult. The drive-through line was at least 30 cars long. I gave the food a 4 star because they forgot pickles on 2 burgers. And they barely put any sauce on another burger. Other than that, it tasted delicious as usual.

Never had an issue here food wise or staff wise. While there’s been some homeless around clearly on drugs. It’s never been an issue. The 1 star reduction is cause the driving through is always a mess. Cars don’t know where to go. People honking or yelling cause they were cut off. Or the worker isn’t up far enough so people are in the street.

This was my first time trying In-N-Out and I love how simple their menu was. They might have a small menu selection but they do it well. I got the double double burger and it was solid. I think I would have preferred the patties to be slightly more seasoned because I found it a bit bland. It tasted like ground beef straight from the supermarket. I like how you can choose to have your onion grilled because I find that raw onion is too overpowering in a burger. They do fresh cut fries and it was pretty good. The vanilla milkshake was fine.

As In-N-Outs go, this is like the rest of them: clean, efficient with helpful staff. The amazing thing is that the drive thru line I was in was so long, it started in the parking lot of another store.

Always a fun food and dining experience. Order taker was very friendly, polite, and patient. Due to lunch crunch, took some time to get meals. The food was good, but edges of burgers were a bit charred. The fries were hot and plentiful...but many must have been made from mini potatoes. Too many fries were 1 1/2 inches long. Crowded happy place but noisy. Clean and bright atmosphere...next time, dine outside. Oh yes, shake was delicious.

The food is delicious, especially the cheese burger. The clerk is very patient and can accommodate customization. There are many people consuming in the store, so it is recommended not to come during meal times because the seats in the store can easily be filled up. Cleaning indoor tabletops and under chairs is not a good idea when there are many people. Cleaning by yourself will make dining more comfortable.

It is like any In-N-Out, but it is always packed. I've been there several times, and only once was the wait not 20+ minutes. Last time, it was about 50-minute wait, which was the record. I've seen two to three homeless people getting water at the soda machine or using the bathroom. I'm guessing that's why multiple times those areas tend to smell not that pleasant.

We are not local here but friends recommend must try in & out, not a big friend of it. We only like the milk shake. Price is fair! Maybe that’s why so many people in long line.

My first time trying "In n Out". The hamburger meat was very poor quality beef. I did not enjoy it, especially in comparison to local "Super Duper" and "Jack in the Box". Similarly, I did not care for the very skinny, potato stix-type french fries. The strawberry milkshake was alright, especially for $3.25. But the trade-off was a clearly artificial flavoring. Given so many better food options nearby, this was my first and last trip to "In n Out". It wasn't awful, just average. Staff were super, friendly, and accomodating, as a note.

“Security Guard Shows No Compassion at In-N-Out, always on phone” Today around 11:30am at the In-N-Out Burger in Pleasant Hill, I witnessed something that left me shaken. A homeless gentleman came in clearly hungry and looking through the trash for food. Instead of showing compassion, the security guard immediately told him to leave and escorted him off the property. I went outside and told the guard I would be happy to buy the man lunch and let him sit outside to eat it. The guard refused and said “absolutely not.” When I said that was unprofessional and explained it’s Labor Day weekend and we should all show compassion, the guard became even ruder. As I went back inside to speak with the manager, the security guard actually threatened me with trespassing if I continued. I explained the situation to the manager, but the whole experience was very upsetting. Security at this location is always on their phones, not watching the property, and when faced with a chance to show basic humanity, they acted without compassion. I frequent this In-N-Out often and the staff are usually very nice, but this incident was unacceptable. Security should protect customers—not intimidate them or mistreat people in need.

Excited to try while in CA. Ordered a single cheeseburger and fries and vanilla shake. Waited 20 minutes. Burger was amazing, the fries were bland. No salt and had no flavor. They forgot my shake and when I got my order I let them know. They acted like I was trying to steal. Showed my receipt and they went back and made it. Didnt live up to the hype for me. Burger was ok, but the cheese fires were terrible; no flavor and the cheese is literally a Kraft single. I'd be willing to try a double patty burger to ger a better idea of the flavor.

Food is good, not like it used to be when Clint was running the store. I’m not sure who is running it now but it seems and feels like they don’t care as much as Clint did. The drive thru takes WAY longer than it used to, the inside just as long. Doesn’t feel like the customers are their priority. Clint had regulars and knew names, he made himself known in the community. Would rather drive to San Ramon or even Alamedas location. They seem to care a lot more have better customer service and move their drive and inside quicker while still having the best quality. Hopefully pleasant hill can get their location back on track!

The craving was there, and wasn’t going to dismissed without being satisfied. I braved the mile long line, gave the wonderful guy with a smile my order, more waiting. I expected the wait and anxiously inched forward, closer and closer to the window to pay, my mouth salivating as I now inchedeven closer and closer to the pick up window. The young man at the window smiled, confirmed my order and handed my order over. I quickly pulled out and reached over to sample my animal fries. Much to my disappointment they were cold, not lukewarm, COLD. I reach for the burger, and disappointment hits again, COLD. I’m now in traffic, too busy to turn around and sit in that long line again, places to go, business to take care of. Warm buns that get cold are not tasty, neither are cold beef patties. Sooooo disappointing.

I was served a double double burnt bun, and I politely asked the staff to replace it, explaining the reason clearly. Unfortunately, the replacement that was brought to me was even worse than the first one. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I left quietly without eating—but I still paid for my order.
