Great food and fantastic atmosphere. I had the cornbeef hash and was quite pleased that it was made with real corend beef and not something out of a can. You can tell whoever owns this place wants to insure that they keep quality over quantity at it heart.
Super cute restaurant, friendly bilingual staff! Clean! Even a nice parking lot! Outside seating! Large portions and decently priced! If I'm ever up that way again, I'll be going there.
I have been going here over half my life, I love the consistency and quality that this restaurant has always had. Eggs Benedict is my all time favorite dish here! Keep it up guys!
Friendly cherry staff. Good old fashioned food. Glad we stopped here because the return traffic from Tahoe got heavy after Pollock Pines. Thanks for a good meal!
Great Mexican menu and service here. This is a worthwhile place to know about for anyone who drives on US Highway 50 say between Lake Tahoe and Sacramento. C&T is two minutes from the freeway, and easy to find.
C&T's is BOMB!! I usually don't eat out because I make my food how I like, and it's good. But C&T's is always good, and always have provided excellent service!!! I've had several items from the menu and they were all yummy, hot, and fresh!!
We have lived in Pollock for 7 years, I have never eaten here, have have missing out! The outside is a turn off… strip mall. Looks totally different inside. Very welcoming. The food was delicious and large portions. They serve breakfast and lunch till 2 pm, they are now opening some nights at 4pm, serving Mexican food. Can’t wait to try it!
Great food! Home made tortillas too.
Amazing place. Me and my friend were very hungry after our hike, and this was the nearest open place. We were not disappointed. The food was really fresh and delicious (with a hearty portion size), the waitress was nice and attentive, and the price was good. It was a very homey, local joint. I'd come again.
The food was amazing! Fresh and well prepared. Generous servings. I had a fabulous veggie omelet. Hubby enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries. Fried green beans are excellent, too! And our waitress took great care of us. We will return!
Stopped here on for breakfast with friends on the way to a mining claim for breakfast. Located in the Pines Shopping Center right of Highway 50 it has ample of parking including disabled spaces. The restaurant is well lit and clean. The friendly waitress immediately came to our table and offered coffee and menus. The menu is surprisingly diverse and offers a variety of foods and drinks. The food was prepared quick and was very good. I had the breakfast steak and was fried exactly to my liking, which is a big, big plus! My friends were were equally satisfied with their order. To sum up, if you on the way to the lake or just out for a ride and get hungry I recommend you you pay a visit to this place! 😎
Me and my Grandpa went for breakfast this morning because we heard they had great food and service. Well we sure were impressed with it, it definitely was worth the 1.5 hour drive lol. The breakfast tasted amazing, they served big portions and the coffee (which is a very important part of breakfast 😋) was very delicious, smooth, and delightful. Our waitress was very attentive, nice and beautiful she never let our drinks get low and was always there when we needed her. Can't wait to go back I strongly recommend this place as a nice place to get some breakfast or lunch with tour friends and family. I heard their mexican food dinner is good too but have yet to try it hopefully this helps y'all make a decision
Had a wonderful lunch. Great local atmosphere and down home cooking. Grilled ham and cheese was great and so was the soup. The waitress reminded me of my cousin who doesn't let you forget that she is the hostess and YOU are a guest. Locals shared fishing and snow stories while we finished up. If I hadn't stuffed myself I might have ordered some more just to stick around a little longer. Great prices at this little gem. Please don't tell everyone about it. I am told it's hard to get a table on some mornings because the whole town tries to get in.
We were looking for someplace to have breakfast, and this place did not disappoint. Best pancakes I've had in a long time. Also had an omelet, which was great.
Awesome staff, great food and reasonable prices! My friend and I came down from ice house and wanted a place for some hearty breakfast and boy was this it! Seated when we walked in, drinks a minute later and order taken as soon as we were ready. Food came out super quick and the biscuits and gravy were phenomenal! Highly recommend this place!
Cecilia the waiter was NOT HAPPY AT ALL. It's our first time here and we heard great things about it. When customers walk in to a place it's nice to greet them with..."Thank you for coming in, what can bring you to drink, we have an awesome selection from coffee to sodas"... or something along those lines. I did not want to leave a tip since 80% of the time she sat down. I asked for the check, so she brings her credit card machine slides my card and waits. For me to fill out the tip and signature portion. I told her I'm not ready to leave but I'll leave it in the table once I'm done. I left her a $1.80 tip since that what she worked for. She looked at it and scuffed... I said exactly the type of service you've provided.. nextime pay attention to your customers in stead of snapchat or YouTube You'll make a bigger tip. She just shrugged her shoulder like she did not care. She'll care when she'll be making no tips by the end of the month. Food was good tho. Place is very retro we liked it. Coffee is served HOT and its a big cup with refills. Cook is very quick and has flavor. Service from Cecelia is bobobobo. If you she her name as for someone else.
Everything you would hope for in a small old-school style breakfast place. The food was good, cheaper than any other place or chain of the same target market. I went fat kid and it was about $20. My buddy was healthy and he came in under $10.
Philly Cheese Steak was worth it. Get a side of Au Juis just cause. Sandwiches are all terrific and a solid burger. We had 8 in our group and they forgot one order but they gave it to us and didn't charge us and were super apologetic. It was exactly how you'd want them to have handled it.
On Tuesday thru Fridays, from 5pm to 8pm, they have a mexican menu. It was beyond excellent! So yummy! The chile relleno is probably the best (and largest) I've ever had. The tamales and enchiladas were amazing as well. They also have a limited menu of burgers and sandwiches on these nights if you want something other than Mexican food on those nights. Go to C&T's in Pollock Pines... you won't regret it.
This place has good breakfast. Decent portions, and everything we’ve tried is tasty. Clean place, free coffee refills, Smuckers jams on the table, all the hot sauces. A good stop if you want a tasty breakfast before a ski trip in Tahoe.
Great breakfast! Haven't tried anything else because breakfast served till 2pm is awesome! Great staff too. Because they don't have an online or to go menu, thought I'd share their great menu. Going to try their Mexican food dinner menu.
We stopped for breakfast, the food, service, and ambiance were great. Our server was very friendly, nice and welcoming. Stop by, visit when in town. We will definitely be back.
Yummmy after-hike breakfast. Delish 🤨 Our server. Fabi was wonderful. 😊 Everyone’s food looked and tasted great.
I've had 2 different plates for breakfast now. Since I've been going here.
Great meal and exactly as asked for. I dislike bell peppers. Impressive corned beef hash!

Amazing Mexican food! Now to have Breakfast there. Great service to
This place is pretty good! We've been by here hundreds of times and finally decided to go in for breakfast. I'm glad we did cause the service, food and atmosphere were all great. Price was also pretty reasonable. I would recommend it if you haven't already been.
Great food, service, and St. Valentines day decorations.
Took my wife here for brunch a few weeks ago and the food/service/atmosphere was fantastic. Our food was brought out promptly, the waitress checked in with us often, and the price was fair. I enjoyed chicken fried steak & eggs, while my wife ordered an omelet. Both dishes were full of flavor and piping hot. The side of biscuits & gravy were perfect. Thanks for a nice experience!
On a motorcycle group ride. Great food, beverages and service. Very clean and neat. Staff was very polite and attentive. Atmosphere was outstanding!

I stopped in for breakfast on my way up to go snowshoeing. I was the only patron at 6:20 am so I got lightning fast service and the food was in front of me in a jiffy. The waitress was nice and we chatted a bit as I ate. Nice place with decent food at a reasonable rate.
Breakfast burrito was pretty good. Will be back to check out the rest of the menu.
Stopped in here one morning for breakfast. The place was fairly empty when we arrived but the food was pretty good. By the time we were getting ready to leave, the place had filled up and it looked like they might have been short staffed to handle the amount of patrons. We tried the typical breakfast fare, but we'll be back to try some of the other items at some point. It was pretty good.
Decent food, good service, reasonable pricing.
Family owned, local restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. We ate breakfast there this morning and I had the 2 pancakes combo with 2 eggs over easy with 4 bacon strips. Everything was very delicious. The inside was cool as they have all these toy cars lined up near the entrance of the restaurant.
Great standard American breakfast place. Hasn’t been remodeled since like 1974 which adds to the ambiance;) not bad tea selection either. The waitress is cute too ;)
C&T Restaurant is a fantastic spot for a classic American diner experience! The food is absolutely delicious, with hearty portions and great flavors. I ordered the chicken fried steak with biscuit and gravy, and it was perfectly cooked and so satisfying. The friendly service and cozy atmosphere make it a place you’ll want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend!
Service was good, food was also pretty good, and relatively inexpensive. No complaints here

More a American style restaurant than Mexican. Good food, decent price. We'd go again.
Food was okay. Pancake was cold and definitely not anything special (tasted like maybe from a box). Omelette was huge! Coffee was mid at best. Tried to sub hash browns and toast for a single pancake and they charged for full omelette meal (and I had eliminated the meat from the omelette) and a side pancake. I wouldn’t have minded if the food tasted better but the pricing is too high for what I got.

Biscuits and gravy are great better than alot of the places that ive ate at around here. Pork chops were a little bland and over cooked. Service very slow bring a magazine to read they take a while Atmosphere was ok locals get service a lot faster.
The waiter was very courteous and nice the food was quite bland and flavorless. Adequate portions everything looked nice just had little to no flavor
I did have a good breakfast there, but dinner not good 1st if the cook poisoned my food because the waitress gave him the wrong order; 1 he is mad at the wrong person, 2 I am considering pressing charges for attempted murder. my family ordered 2 taco dinners and 1 combo plate, see brought 2 combos and 1 taco dinner. my child, not me, reminded the lady we ordered Taco. She said, "Oh yeah." & I gave my child my taco plate and waited patiently. 2nd. the waitress, besides not sending the cook the correct food, forgot my margarita 3 times, until she noticed I had a where is my drink look. she left the salad plates on the table, so we had to eat over them as we ate dinner. I was very disappointed.
Me and my significant other stopped in for breakfast. Food was decent but service was horrible! Sat down and waited for quite some time to get drinks. The waitress got us water, took several other people's orders, then walked back and asked if we wanted drinks. We already had waters (half way gone now) and were waiting quite some time just to get our order taken already. I acknowledged to the waitress that she had already gotten us drinks and her response was, "oh" and then walked away. We watched 3 more tables (larger groups) that sat down after us get their drinks and orders taken first. One of the groups even acknowledged, "that couple was here quite some time before us, you can help them first." This was extremely frustrating; almost just walked out but didn't want to find somewhere else to eat. I mean I recognize that it was kind of busy, I have worked in the restaurant business and am sympathetic but this was ridiculous. Maybe if the waitress was a bit friendlier or apologetic, it would have made the experience better but she wasn't either of these things. One of the biggest tips in this business, no one is perfect, people make mistakes but being friendly and recognizing that with your customers is key to keeping them as customers. This was not the case in this situation. Once we finally got our order in, the cooks got our food out in a timely manner. That was good. We never got drink refills though and they remained empty while we ate. We never got asked if we would like anything more to drink and I ended up pulling out a water bottle out of my bag for my significant other and I to share. When we finished eating, we again sat forever waiting for our waitress. When she finally came to our table, she gave us someone else's ticket, realized it, said "oh that's not yours" and again just walked away. No friendliness at all. I ended up getting up and getting a box myself for my leftover food because we grew tired of waiting. The waitress eventually came back a second time with our actual ticket this time. Needless to say, we were ready to get the heck out of this place. We will never eat here again or recommed it to anyone for that matter. Very unfortunate experience considering previous reviews.
Nothing special here. Good service, but tired of the undercooked bacon and hash browns. I have learned to specify "crispy" when ordering to ensure I am not served translucent bacon and white hash browns sitting in a puddle of oil, but that means getting them overcooked half the time. Today was the last straw. An omelet with runny eggs in the middle, and burnt hash browns. Too many experiences here with improperly cooked food for me to return, especially when the new Sportsman's Hall (who can always get it right) is just a couple of miles down the road. Update: 11/2/2020... Just tried them again with a club sandwich. Unfortunately they still don't know how to cook bacon or potatoes, in this case fries. Plus the tomatoes were discusting, with huge white centers. Update: 11/27/2021… Gave them another chance and stopped in for a burger this afternoon… and if your idea of a decent burger is Carl’s Jr. or In ‘n Out, you will be severely disappointed. Preformed tasteless frozen patty, chewy, dry and under seasoned (if at all). Same issue with fries and tomatoes previously mentioned. There is simply no where in Pollock Pines for a decent burger, so think ahead and do Placerville or South Lake Tahoe if you’re passing through. As a 23 year resident of Pollock Pines I no longer want to eat in town since Knuckle Dragger closed. Sportsman’s Hall is the only decent option at this point. Update: 5/5/23… Tried them again for a Philly cheese steak. Tasteless and overcooked. After eating most of the first half was gonna toss the second, but ended up sauteing some onions and shrooms in EVOO with salt and Worcestershire, adding the meat in and then putting it back on the bread. That at least made it edible. Maybe the food is better if you dine in, but to go really sucks.
I wouldn’t even give it one star. They were rude and super slow. First thing out of our waitress’ mouth was for me to take my Starbucks out of the restaurant. Then we were already to order and she said we couldn’t order our meals at the same time as our drinks because she had a system. We waited for 10 minutes for her to come back and finally take our order which took 45 minutes to be ready and when we got it all of our hashbrowns were burnt, The bacon was soggy and tasted like it was made a week ago, and everything was super cold and disgusting. I would not even give this place one star but there’s no option to get it zero stars but I would never recommend this place to anybody even if you’re starving
Ordered chorizo and eggs, was given a chopped up frozen beef patty instead of the chorizo. If you're out of chorizo just tell me don't try to fake it. Terrible
Foods not good seems to be preheated and cost of the food keeps going up and service is a joke had hard time just getting napkin and fill my glass of water staff seen to be to busy playing on there phone. Burger Barn is a much better place in town not much in Pollock Pines.
I cant Rate the Food because I walked out after 15min this am 1/3/26 Saturday, and Watched 3 couples walk in with kids get their orders taken before mine. I had to go up and ask a customer if they had ordered yet and they said they did. The waitress just completely ignored me. Very disappointed because I live in Polluck and will not be giving this place my business
