Opinions de Ristorante El Volt Ponte di Legno
Posto fantastico, pulito e accogliente.
Location molto bella, servizio decisamente molto attento e preciso.
The rustic atmosphere is characterized by stone, beams, and meticulously designed lighting. But the highlight is the cuisine. Led by chef Andrea, known from his old restaurant in Bergamo, it offers a mix of traditional mountain dishes with modern interpretations of both fish and meat. The wine list is extensive, with both commercial and niche labels. Desserts are classic, yet always meticulously prepared and elaborate. The owner is personally involved, and the prices are in line with the menu and ambiance.
I've been coming to Ponte di Legno for years now, and I know almost all the restaurants. El Volt remains one of my favorites, with a mountain-style yet sophisticated atmosphere. For starters, we had a vegetable strudel, followed by entrecôte. We finished with a deconstructed cheesecake. Each dish was carefully crafted and flavored. The prices are a bit higher than other restaurants, but the refined atmosphere and attention to detail make it worth it. I thank Ettore for contributing to my positive experience with a healthy dose of patience, kindness, and experience.
very friendly, huge choice of good wines, but also has a bottle of Merlot 2013 for 30€ excellent Pizza, very cosy place !
Mangiato veramente bene, molto cordiali, sicuramente ci ritorneremo 👍🏻
Very nice dinner in a cozy atmosphere. It's nice to find delicate food in the area!
Small delay in placing orders but due to the fact that the whole restaurant was fully booked, this will be overlooked. The pizza was good although not very tasty (summer pizza €20), I expected something more; The waiters are very kind and helpful. What lowers the score is the fact that the place is small, and to have more tables they sacrificed the privacy of each table (so close that we couldn't talk) and several times they touched my girlfriend's head. GOOD BUT NOT GREAT Cit.
A good restaurant near the historic center of Ponte di Legno. Very welcoming atmosphere with a nice mix of modern and traditional furnishings. The dishes are very distinctive and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only small drawback is the prices, which aren't exactly cheap, but they're clearly stated, so there aren't any surprises. Definitely ideal for a dinner with friends or as a couple.
We were three people for dinner, and ate in the small room near the bathrooms. The place is nice, but unfortunately, there were crusts of plaster on the bench and the adjacent table, and the women's restroom wasn't cleaned properly after lunch. That said, the food was truly delicious; the nettle risotto and Calsù pasta were excellent. The wine list was superb, but the wine list was limited. As for the service... despite the excellent willingness, young people who are learning need to be personally supervised, otherwise mistakes become unpleasant, whereas they would be perfectly acceptable for beginners. The price was fair. The music needs to be reviewed, given the type of place.
We had dinner! Good dishes, right portions, excellent wine cellar, good service, kind staff and friendly owner. Well-kept, clean and very beautiful place. One negative note: my husband with a cheese tasting plate asked for a glass of Pedro Ximenez. They offered him two types that we didn't know and that were similar in presentation. He chose at random....that one was 30 euros a glass. When it came to the bill, when my husband complained, he was told that the other one cost 10 euros a glass and they discounted him 10 euros. YOU TELL IT FIRST, then you decide. 6 days ago I sent an email to the restaurant kindly asking if they could send us the name, year and house of the PX I drank, but I haven't received a response yet. Is the email getting old with the PX?
The food was ok, but overpriced. And we were rushed to order.
We dined with high expectations, which were unfortunately disappointed. The only positive note is the location, which is very beautiful. The waiters are too fast and pushy; they seem to want to clear the table as quickly as possible. Some of the dishes are good, but it's unacceptable to pay €30 for fillet steak bites dipped in a pink sauce with "San Carlo" chips on top. We reported this to them, but were told there wasn't time to make the potato chips as per the menu. We refused to order anything else and left after paying €123 for two (without a cent of discount or anything else). Obviously, we won't be returning.
High prices and ridiculous portions. Definitely quality food. A receipt after payment would have been appreciated. €150 bill and not even a complimentary digestif. Definitely avoid.
I won't go into detail about what the waiter did, I'll just say THE POODLE WAS RIGHT TO WANTED TO BITE HIM. If there were an Oscar for dislike, I'd give it to him!! (He'll treat you like you're an idiot.) And reading the reviews, I think many would agree. The food is good, but if you go, be prepared before you go in to treat him like he deserves by responding in kind. 😏 That's reason enough not to come back. (Message to the waiter... watch out, the "sugar" one always comes along, better to be respectful of others.)
We had dinner at Volt last night. Recommended by a friend in the industry, we decided to stay here for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. My partner had pizza, and I asked for a platter with gluten-free bread and a pork feather with polenta and mushrooms. But let's start from the beginning. I asked for a glass of bubbles, asking what they had opened. They replied, a Contadi Castaldi. Excellent! Too bad it was the dregs of the bottle and hadn't been opened recently. The result? A slightly sparkling wine. The platter arrived very quickly, probably already prepared, but that's normal, since cold cuts are best enjoyed at room temperature. It's a shame, however, that the bread arrived after I'd already finished the platter. The feather was a bit hard... for a price of €28, definitely out of line with the average quality/price ratio. In my opinion, it's a nice place, very well decorated, but it needs a different approach, especially in terms of service. I don't know if I'll go back, certainly not anytime soon.
In my opinion, the food was quite good, but unfortunately, the quality/price ratio wasn't great. My companion's portion was quite small, at over €20 for a first course. Mine was already better. The menu listed a price, but then the price of the truffle was added separately, so it more than tripled... Madness. Bottom line: two first courses without even wine were €100. I'm sorry because the taste is good. I understand that the prices of everything have gone up, but we really didn't expect that. We're used to eating in restaurants, even high-end ones, and therefore expensive, but they're worth it. Unfortunately, here, however, we were a bit disappointed.
We ordered something they should split so me and my girlfriend can share but in the end we paid it two times
