The food here is delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful! We didn’t have to wait long for our food, we waited no longer than 15 minutes. The staff was very friendly. There are many tables, and when we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty. We didn’t have to wait for a table. There were also no issues with parking. There are plenty of parking spaces.

We each had two cocktails, hushpuppies, fish tacos, fried shrimp, and key lime pie. The hushpuppies were okay but we loved the fish tacos and fried shrimp. The portions are great with a big side of fries, the coleslaw was also delicious. Pro tip to get extra remoulade sauce. It was a bit pricey, but similar to most restaurants in the area. Both inside and outside atmosphere is really nice to be in.

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant this past weekend. The whole place is really clean. Beautiful restaurant. All the staff were friendly and professional. The food was great. I had a blackened shrimp bowl. LOVED IT. The prices are on point. NOT overpriced at all. Very fair. Sitting in the restaurant I actually got the feeling I was on vacation. It was just the weekend for me. I truly enjoyed the food and the visit overall. I hope everyone has an opportunity to visit this establishment. Eat well y'all.

Excellent ceviche, best I have tasted....and served with plenty of chips! Delicious crab & corn chowder. All of the food we have tried here has been excellent, other than the burger, which was overcooked and just "ok". Food orders are placed at a walk up counter, then brought to your table, unless seated at the full service bar. Food was served rather quickly. Nice view of the marina on the outdoor deck.

Sad to say, the French fries were hard. We did ask for replacement, they were hard also. The shrimp was good, as well as the Mahi sliders. Once the waiter brought our food, we never saw him again. For what we paid, I thought food and service should have been better.

Nice seafood joint and nice relaxed atmosphere with good views of the bay. We had the crab cakes which were blah. Fried fish platter which was excellent and hush puppies shrimp and bacon which were a 3.5 out of 5. Drinks are strong and decent flavor but dam pricy. I should have just got a beer tbh. My guidance enjoyed the good not than I did but we both have plates we want to come back and try like the ahi tuna bowl and mahi fish tacos and stuffed flounder. Staff is a bit over worked and over run during high volume hours and peak season but still very pleasant. Only downside is they get so busy they can’t serve appetizers of any type and it only comes out with your main meal.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The view of the bay was nice. Full bar, nice music, stand up order and they bring the food out to your table. Shrimp was a bit tough, crab cake was really good, fries, oysters, hush puppies were average. Cocktail sauce had a nice zip to it. Overall, a worthwhile dining experience.

I really enjoy going to Grumbles when I'm down in Port A. It's pretty standard as far as service goes. You walk up to the counter and take a number after you've ordered and they bring the food to you but that's about it. But the food! It's amazing. This time we had fried green tomatoes which are always on point, the special bourbon Teriyaki bacon-wrapped shrimp. Absolutely delicious. The Grumbles rice that I ordered on the side was okay. My friend had the crab stuffed flounder which I tasted as well and it was out of this world. Cooked to Perfection so if you are in Port Aransas and you want a chill place to hang out and look over the water and boats this is for you.

The vibes here are good. Very beach restaurant vibes and it’s right on the water. The food was so underwhelming. We got a combo fried platter. The fish was bland. The crabcake was good but there was no delicious sauce that came with it. We got crab and corn hush puppies and they either messed up the order and gave us original hush puppies or it was missing crab and corn. The fries were the best part.

It's a well-known establishment. Good atmosphere. The wait can be substantial, and the prices are as well. Seafood is fresh, so a plate will run you upwards of$30 , not terrible, just not great for the price. Im glad I experienced it, but wont be back anytime soon.

Loved the vibe and supporting local restaurants when we travel but was not impressed. There were only a few tables so not too busy— my fries were old/cold, the fried shrimp (cooked in cornmeal which I love) were way overcooked and like rubber. The crab cake was good and so were the hush puppies and cocktail sauce WAY overpriced for the poor quality and portions we get Someone came to table to ask if everything was ok and we explained the issues. They said sorry and walked away and no manager came out

Wouldn’t recommend this place as there are several better places on the island to spend your money with the same view. Fried shrimp was overcooked and not battered which is what you would expect. They should consider changing the name of that dish. French fries look great but are dehydrated tasting and turn to powder when you eat them. They aren’t worth eating. Carrots were the only veggie to choose from and were so overcooked they were beyond mushy. Coleslaw was pretty good. Staff didn’t welcome us when we arrived or offer any info. When asked if they have any specials, the girl behind the counter just pointed at the chalkboard. This is the second and very last time we will spend money here. Such a disappointment.

So this placed is priced like a 5 star gourmet restaurant, but is comparable to fast food place. No waiter or waitress, you enter, wait in long line, order at a cashier, then your food is brought to table. You have to go & get your own fountain drinks & condiments & silverware. The hush puppies were undercooked & subpar. The fried green tomatoes were good. The French fries were ok, & plenty of them. The coleslaw was disgusting, no dressing, it’s as if they poured it right out of the bag. Fried schrimp were good, crab cakes ok, fried fish undercooked. Alcoholic beverages way over priced. I recommend eating somewhere else. Last things lots of staff, none looked happy to be there, unfriendly, mostly young people that were mostly interested in visiting with each other. Cleanliness was a mess, I just can’t find much good to say.

I’m convinced after much thought, that the only reason this place stays in business is the overall lack of dining options in Port A. Dry and over seasoned on all accounts for our party of 6. 30 minutes standing in line to order. 45 minutes more until food arrived, only to be wildly disappointing. Also, you are offered the opportunity to tip…. And while I wholeheartedly support service staff, I feel like 20% when all they do is bring you food (not silverware, drinks or anything else) and clean the table (so the restaurant can use it again) is a little absurd.
