Had some issues with items not making it in the bag quite a few times. Addressed the issues to two managers after having a few issues in a row. But honestly, after speaking with them it seems now everything has been running smoothly. The staff is new but they are doing a great job with quality assurance now. Tonight the gentlemen at the window for pick up orders double checked the order on the screen and realized the brookie was missing. Made sure to put it in there to complete the order perfectly. Highly suggest this McCalister's if you are in town. Very satisfied.

I had a wonderful experience, it took a few (5 or less) minutes from the time I ordered for my food to arrive at my table. The atmosphere is calming and kid friendly. The food is great and decently priced. Great sandwiches, soups and salads. A variety of beverages to select. Employees were cheerful and helpful. I only have 1 complaint there is small bathrooms. I recommend the Memphian Sandwich.

Always great food! What made it better Sunday was watching a young man named Ed promptly cleaning tables and asking customers if they needed anything. My husband and I did not have to get up and get refills like usual. Ed did that for us. Awesome food and awesome service!

Still great sweet tea. This location was busy (lunch Friday) but we still got our order in under 10 minutes. My BLT-A was good, avocodo was ripe but not mushy, just enough bacon (although there is no such thing as too much!) Counter and server we're friendly, and the store was clean while we were there.

Had lunch here today, hubby had 1/2 Rueben sandwich + salad, “excellent” ( from a picky eater!!) and I had the tortilla soup in a bread bowl, Mmmm, so tasty!! But the best thing was the service, Miss Hein… one of the sweetest servers we’ve met!!❣️and Tony the manager was very welcoming! We will definitely return more often.

My favorite is the grilled chicken salad plate. But their deli sandwiches are great also. Their tea is also very good. We eat at least once a month at the establishment. Great family atmosphere.

I had no idea it was so close to my hotel. Mmm, yum. I had chicken and dumplings soup. Was delicious, not on the salty side either. My mom had a baked potato, she said it was plentiful and delicious. Great location. Not overcrowded. Plus there's a drive-thru. We come here on the weekends for some family time, and our food is always on point. Great staff. But I do recommend to go to the restroom before coming here. Only one , which causes a line.

This restaurant has been consistent over the years regardless of the city or location. The king club sandwich is extremely filling and can even be shared with another person. It's a delicious sandwich and it's the only one I'll eat... it's my favorite! The mac and cheese is also good. Additionally, they prepare good food very fast.

Tony, the manager, was so awesome. He checked with each of us to make sure our meals were to our satisfaction. Bringing extra pieces of carrot cake when I jokingly said my bottom portion of the cake was missing. He has always been nice about checking on my meal. The staff are well managed and friendly.

We had a great meal- food was correct and fresh. They let my daughter sample a lemonade and she loved it, so we bought a drink of it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We went to the Portland location after church and our food was fresh, delicious, the restaurant was clean. The manager Tony was going around asking customers if they needed anything, he cleared out our tables, offered us refills and to go boxes since we were pretty much done eating. That was amazing service and we’re definitely going back to that location. We need more restaurant managers to be involved and interact with their customers, ask for feedback and see how we’re doing. I got to say I just ate lunch here for the first time the other day I got a soup and sandwich and a lemonade the lemonade was awesome almost tasted freshly squeezed not sure if it was but it sure did taste that way. The broccoli soup was hot and had a good flavor. The sandwich was a typical Italian. Overall I had no complaints it was an excellent meal I would definitely eat here again. On one other occasion I had a friend pick me up a loaded baked potato. This baked potato looked like the biggest baked potato I have ever had at a restaurant. It was delicious and I would recommend the baked potato to anybody. ***Note: The baked potato can be considered a meal on its own.

Love this place ! If you're looking for a family lunch spot or a quick place to stop with a friend, this is where to go! They have great salads and sandwiches. They have a variety of soups which are pretty good too. My favorite salad has been the Chopped Salad... I have never gone wrong with a sandwich! They have delicious iced tea and their cups are huge for sodas. Not to mention the people!! Everyone here is so friendly and they are incredibly helpful. The restaurant itself is very well kept and clean. It has always been a great experience eating here.

This place is great. The young lady was very attentive and the manager stopped by to see how our meal was. We got a free side of tortilla chips when My son had eaten all of dad’s… how thoughtful. Place is very clean, I personally wish for warm lighting vs cold white lights. But definitely recommend coming, better than Panera.

One of our favorite weekend lunch spots! We usually go for the Choose 2. I love the Savannah Chopped Salad paired with a 1/2 sandwich—depending on my mood it’s either the Harvest Chicken Salad, Italian, Memphian, or Cuban. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean.

I haven't been to a McAllister in a very long time and it was where I used to live in Arkansas. Today's food (salad was delicious) and service were outstanding! Amanda & Joy were outstanding the entire time I was in there and went over & beyond. It just felt good to have the kind help and smiles from these 2 ladies and something that isn't so common at many places anymore (at least where I just moved from). I spoke to the manager about them as well and he was also very kind. THANK YOU!

As soon as went inside this location I knew it was a great place. Friendly atmosphere and the manager was very hospitable. We ordered what he recommended and as you can see by the photos was a great choice. He even stopped by the table to start up a conversation and get to know his customers. First time today @ Mcalister Deli & was impressed. The cashier helped me in making choices of the deli, salad, soup, they offered. The Restaurant is clean, my order came timely properly secured because it is carry out, what else can I say, the salad & soup are delicious. I really enjoyed it.

The sandwich was really fresh and delicious. I cannot explain how good the level of freshness was, the point is, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can state that I found another spot to eat at, or order from. Order early because they seem to run out of sides by lunch time. I ordered around 2pm. I wanted the sandwich, soup and steamed broccoli as a side. Only the sandwich was a guarantee and the fresh fruits were left. The fruit quantity that I was given could be more though. Maybe I got what was left of that as well, not sure. This clearly proves that they are popular which is a good sign. Their sandwich validates this. A big plus is, Favor delivery does a quick turnaround for this place. 👍🏽

Great customer service. I watched an employee sprint across the parking lot to give a customer the credit card the left with the cashier. This is definitely going above and beyond. Service overall was good, good atmosphere and great food. The soup and sandwich combo is a great change from ordinary fast food. It is even a little healthier.

When you first walk in you will notice an odd smell, kind of like the smell of dog food. Then you realize the place is filthy, that is why it smells. Service is awful, there are generally more employees hanging out in the dining room than working in the back; management is usually in the dining room too. The food isn't bad, but you do wonder how sanitary it is and it takes a while for them to make it. Also, I have seen dirty dishes sitting on the front counter many times, while I have been served sides in plastic to-go cups. Often there are multiple tables with no napkins in the dispenser.

I love this place! Today i got the spud max. 🙁 the potato was really dried out and there really wasn't much potato. But the cheesecake was delicious and kinda made up for the potato. It has always been great before though!!!

Sometimes they're really good with their service, others they literally forget to give us silverware. I have paid for for multiple desserts and gotten none of them. It's pick and choose I guess with their workers on whether or not they want to put in enough effort that day.

Stopped there again today to pick-up some lunch for the beach. Today it wasn't as good as yesterday. One my salad was soggy from the dressing already on the salad (also not much salad). The sandwich didn't taste great. I'll give them a three. Not as good as Subway.

Have been here maybe a dozen times and always during the busy noon hours. Food always delicious. Staff polite. However, today a couple of things were happening that drive my friend and I nuts. All of the staff it seemed were hollering "hello" to any customer coming in the door and there might have been 2 or 3 hollering at a time! Obnoxious as heck! Friendliness fine, but lower the volume. it actually interfered w conversation and was just irritating! Next! Do not ask if you can remove a plate before the customer has even started eating nor while he is eating or perhaps stopped for a monent. I got to where I was holding onto my plate! I'm sure because of the noon crowd, they were trying to move us out as quickly as possible! puhleeze fix!!!

really annoyed that they got rid of a bunch of menu items that had been there for years previously; also, they nearly served our food to someone else, and neglected to give us a table number, which is why the mix up happened in the first place. it was busy, i get that, but if you have the room for so many customers, you should expect to have, maximum, that many customers.

Food was good. Everything was fresh. The croissant was heavy and there wasn't much chicken salad in my sandwich. The soups we had were tasty. The Mac and cheese side was a little bland. Prices are a little on the high side. Not a place I would choose again.

They should change the name to McAlister's Sandwich Shop. It is not a deli anymore. Every deli I have ever been to makes custom sandwiches to order. I went in to get a hot pastrami with swiss and hot mustard on rye. The very polite and sweet young lady helping me wasn't quite sure how to ring that up, but tried. Then I noticed on their menu board that they had something pretty close. The New Yorker, so I told her to just do that. I didn't particularly want the corned beef, but that would do. I kinda wish I had stuck to what I wanted because I didn't like so much corned beef and so little pastrami. Apparently, not many people come in and order custom sandwiches made to order at this place. And unlike Jason's Deli, they don't list the available meats, breads, cheeses, etc on their menu board. So, this is not really a deli. Not sure when McAlister's switched to just be a fixed sandwich type shop, but it is disappointing. I would say it is an average sandwich also. Nothing great. My son and grandson really liked their 12 inch French Dip sandwiches and had plenty left over. My grandson got all grossed out when he found a pickle next to his sandwich. Most delis ask if you want the pickle or not. My grandson is autistic and I didn't realize a pickle was included, so that set off a chain of jumping around even though the pickle was wrapped in plastic wrap. He kind of freaked over the sight and smell of a pickle. I was super hungry and ate my sandwich, but probably won't come back anytime soon.

The staff that took our order were not very friendly and were easily distracted by each other behind the counter. The food is always good here but we were very displeased with being given kids size cups for our drinks although we paid for a regular size. The staff claimed there is a shortage of regular cups however there were stacks of them at the counter.

I ordered the jalapeño turkey crunch. They were out of the jalapeño bread. The sandwich was mediocre at best. Nothing special. My wife ordered the ham and cheese melt, again mediocre at best. Was a little disappointed at the quality for the price. Ordered at 1:08 pm, and received our to-go food at 1:22 pm. 13 minute wait for a to-go order? Tried it, won't go back.

Its a McAlisters. Pros: lots of healthy options. Food here is decent. Cons: the employees at this particular restaurant seamed up-tight. Not rude, it just seemed like they were having a bad day. Bathroom door was locked so not sure but usually means they have a small restroom.

I'm giving three stars because our order was right and the food was good. Service was pretty bad. It took them forever to acknowledge us. They were doing other things behind the counter, which I understand, but we were ignored for several minutes before the cashier came back and then took our order. The girl who brought the food to the table barely spoke a word and looked like she didn't want to be there. We specifically wanted McAllister's for the variety and speed, which is why we stayed, but we probably won't go to that location again.

I ordered the pick two. The memphian and the broccoli cheddar soup. The sandwich had two pieces of meat on it. The soup was so hot I couldn't even eat it. First time I have ever been to this location and probably won't be back. I am just used to getting a different sandwich than this.

I love McAlister's however the Portland location is the worst McAlister's I've ever been to and it's consistently disappointing. When I think of a McAlister's I think of a warm hello, servers keeping the restaurant extremely clean, and servers walking around asking if you need a re-fill or if they can take your plate. None of this happens at this location. The store is dirty every time I've walked in, many times it's hard to find a clean table. The servers behind the counter act as if you're imposing on them when you order and then stand talking when the store needs to be attended too. The only thing that keeps me visiting is that I every now and then want a good sandwich and they do serve good food. I really wish someone would come in and help them clean up their act, or just take them to any other McAlister's so they can see how one should operate.

So for the last four times being there they are always out of stuff. This is one of our favorite restaurants to est at in Portland. It's extremely disappointing that we really don't want to return because we know they will be out of something we ask for. I ordered a potato "out" nachos " out of chips" chicken sandwich "put of sauce". Canceled order and went somewhere else. Do better@

The food was good, we asked for no tomatoes and they were still on the sandwich, but not a huge issue (we don’t have allergies). What I am reviewing on is related to the condition of the restaurant. The ceiling was dripping and covered in mold. I understand things happen and this is (hopefully) temporary but in my opinion the location should be shut down until it can be repaired. The health issues related to inhaling mold is enough for me to confirm I won’t be back until I know it’s fixed, and I am sorry for the employees there are doing that for hours each day.

I have eaten at a lot of McAlister's in my life I started eating at McAlister's in Oxford Mississippi in the original gas station McAlister's. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup in both a bowl and a cup and neither one of them were completely full at all. I had to go back in and ask for my chips because they did not give them to me. The customer service is total crap. I am very disappointed at this location.

Mid quality food, not near as good as other McAlisters locations. Service is routinely understaffed, slow, and never cleans the tables. Dirty floors, tables, and never organized. They definitely don't fulfill the "fast" in fast-casual dining. Desperately needs better management

Order was given to another customer who was there for take-out also. Wait time for order fulfillment was HORRIBLY long w/ no reason as there were 3 employees in kitchen simply standing/chatting/laughing. Won't be returning to this location and will encourage others to chose other options!

So disappointed today! I ordered before I left work and picked up at drive through. Drove 22 miles home looked at food and shaking my head in disbelief. I ordered the king club for my husband and it looks nothing like what is dipicted on the menu. It's just a regular sandwich you would make at home. The side of potato salad is maybe a tablespoon full.. my order of the king Ruben was smashed in a tiny box with NO PICKLE anywhere in sight with the same tablespoon of potato salad. This order was over $20!!! Which could have been made easily for a lousy $5.00. but when you're working and trying to pick up a meal to take home and you get home to this it's very frustrating to think you spent your hard earned money on this. I'm having to make extra stuff at home to make this meal complete for my husband. He works outside in the sun all day and I work 10 hour shifts. When we order food we expect to get what we see on the menu. I'm actually embarrassed to tell my husband what I spent for this order. NOT HAPPY

A thin swipe of chicken salad isn't the exact idea of a true deli sandwich! Pathetic chain. Pathetic sandwich. Save your money. It's not worth it. Disappointed and frustrated. Gave them a second try. Didn't add the honey mustard sauce to the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. They don't answer their phone. I'm not going to try again. Nothing is ever made right.

It was good but there were flies everywhere and bathrooms not stocked. The ceiling is falling apart and leaking it seems, floor is wet signs everywhere is the case of this deduction. Overall good but health concerns are immense.

Ordered food through the app today. My vehicle is too big to drive they so I went inside at the time ready per the app. There was a long line so an employee was walking by so I asked “do I need to stay in this line to get an app order? “. She looks at me and says “I am off the clock.” No offer to get someone until I say “can you ask someone to help me?” And then she offers. The gal she asked was nice and got my order. She did seem annoyed when she was bagging it but she smiled and at least faked it well. Very rude girl with long brown hair, glasses and was sitting at the far booth on right side of restaurant when you come in front door. I do not plan to return as this really was rude. I own a winery in Rockport and if this ever happened at my business, well it wouldn’t as my people care about our customers. Without them, we go home with our stuff in a box.

We went to eat at McAllister today in Portland. It was disgusting!! Water dropping from ceiling on me as I'm paying. Mildew all over the place. It's filthy! I took video of this place, I will be reporting to health department ! These doors should be closed. No, I didn't eat my food.

Got the Italian salad and water. Was fresh mixed greens. Ordered no cucumbers but got 2 in it. Surprise bites yuck. Overall good for a salad but overpriced for what I got. Total with water was 8.97. Pricy for a salad in my opinion. Great presentation. Went back to try again. Got chicken salad croissant. Worst chicken salad ever had. Croissant was hard and chicken salad tasted awful to me. Had to taste and not anything in it. Couldn't even taste the chicken. Was about 2 tablespoons of the chicken salad. Threw it all away but lettuce and tomato. Waste of over 10 dollars. Wont return. Very disappointed they are usually good. Ate at this place several yrs ago when I was in town about 4 times and was much better. Give them credit for a clean store and friendly great service though

Very unhappy today. The service was just awful the staff that brought our lunch to the table was very RUDE and needs more training on customer service. She was upset that she had to go back and get the soup I ordered and deliberately ignored me when I told her it was for me as she placed it infront of my husband. We come here a lot. We love this location However, we will not return until this store resolves this issue and assures us this will not happen again!

I’m sad to leave this review because we LOVE McAlister’s food and the workers and manager here are so nice. But the ceiling?!!!! What is going on?!! It’s always leaking, covered in mold?? They did some updates but left the ceiling like that? You’re making food and your workers are breathing it in all day?? I would eat here multiple times a week if it weren’t for the ceilings. I haven’t been back in months and unfortunately wouldn’t go back until the ceilings are addressed

Disrespectful!! I placed a curbside order and the lady at the window was incredibly rude. She asked what my name was but she didn’t hear the first time so she asked again with very obvious attitude and slammed the window in my face. It didn’t show chicken dumplings on the app so I asked if I could place a quick order and again, slammed the window in my face to get someone. When the man was giving me the change, she was in the background and I heard her say “Why not just order it first instead of having to order it at the window.”

We always eat at Mcalister and love their food but we had a bad experience yesterday. We walked in at 8:30 pm wanting to place an order to go and seems like they got bothered that we even walked in and someone said "we were about to close". So my husband just decided to walk away. I understand they are open until 9 pm but seems like 8:30 or before is their closing time.

Get it together guys.... Noone in the store and a 20 to 30 Min wait for a sandwich and soup no thank you.

3rd time eating there and last time. No problems until today. I was disgusted. While dining in a roach crawled out from under table right on my plate. I notified the teen manager on duty who didn't even want to approached table while roach was hiding under plate. He didn't even offer a refund. I was so disgusted I wanted out. Stay away! Notice as I left food , old food been there for a while between cushions on booths, no wonder. Ugh.

For the past two Sundays, I have placed a to go order. Each time the employee told me 10 or 15 minutes which I believe is the standard time.. each Sunday it has taken much much longer up to 45 minutes the first time and approximately the same this time. Where is management, where is enough staff to handle this Rush of people. Understandably so it is going to be busy on particular days but management should know when that is and should prepare in advance. Many many customers are waiting and again they are not prepared to the least. The numbers are easy to follow see what you did on Sundays and make sure you have enough staff and then some to handle it nobody needs to wait that long for it to go order that was placed in advance terrible. Service today. The order for today was just one sandwich that's all. I checked my order to make sure everything was in there and they had forgot to put the two extra slices of pickles and dressings I had asked for. Don't waste your time, unstaffed, long waits, employees bickering with one another. And all I wanted was a sandwich.

They close when ever they want to. Don't trust them to be open. Been here two times and the doors were locked long before closing hours.

They could not get the order correct. Asked for no tomato, no honey mustard…they put both on the sandwich. One sandwich was missing the honey mustard that was supposed to come with it. They “corrected” both after a call to inform them. When we went back to pick up “corrected” sandwiches. They were still both wrong. When advised the staff, she basically ignored it and closed the window and walked away. Horrible customer service. Staff cannot follow simple directions on building on a sandwich. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Girl at the register was super nice, super sweet. Food took forever and I got a chicken Caesar wrap. I asked for extra dressing and there was none in the wrap. Second time I have come in at night and it has taken forever. It’ll be a while before I go here again, at least at night. They were more worried about cleaning and closing then their customers.

Currently in this establishment and witnessed the shift leader be extremely rude to a young female employee who asked her a question. She didn’t seem to care how she came across to the customers and didn’t even greet me, when I was standing right in front of her. That shift leader makes a very toxic environment for her employees. I felt so sorry for the gal who asked a simple question and promptly got her head bit off. It embarrassed the young lady. That shift leader needs some additional training or she needs to find another job.
