Probably one of the top 5 views I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. Overlooking the entrance to the Portofino Port, this restaurant offers incredible menu of food and drinks with incredible views.

A must-do if you’re in Portofino! We weren’t staying at the hotel but everyone was so kind and hospitable. We enjoyed a sunset dinner and would highly recommend!

La Terrazza is a must visit when in Portofino. Perched above a hill overlooking the harbor of Portofino and located within the legendary Belmond Splendido the location and atmosphere of the restaurant is unbeatable. If you are a couple on a romantic getaway… this is the place for you! If you are a family exploring the itllian riviera, you’ll also love your experience here. With all of that being said, the best part about La Terrazza is the service. The staff is kind, accommodating, and willing to assist you in any way possible. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation here; you won’t regret it!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow, La Terrazza in Portofino was amazing! The minestrone soup was so good, full of flavor and super comforting. The eggplant was just as awesome, perfectly cooked and delicious. The staff was great—really warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. And the views? Absolutely gorgeous, looking out over the Portofino coast while eating was just perfect. All in all, La Terrazza was a fantastic experience. Great food, awesome service, and a beautiful setting. Already looking forward to our next visit! 🍜🌊

Très belle expérience dans cet endroit, une vue à couper le souffle, un personnel aux petits soins et qui vous laisse très à l’aise . Les plats et les desserts sont bons et de qualité.

Just celebrated my 21st birthday here!! Everything was amazing from the food to the amazing staff which was so lovely to me during this celebration💗💗💗 I will definitely be back we had an amazing time there!!!

Incredible experience! Went for my 30th birthday with all my close family including my 1 year old nephew and the staff couldn’t have been better! Unbeatable view and setting looking over Portofino. Food was very good but you do pay for the setting and the experience….and it is 100% worth it!

Food and views are THE BEST! Staff were amazing 🤩 However we walked to the restaurant and it was a hard walk.. when we arrived we were told that there is a shuttle bus from city center to the restaurant👍🏻

Absolutely beautiful view with unblocked Portofino scenery. Tubetti Pasta and sea urchin risotto tasted amazing and also loved the Ligure prawn which was very fresh. Felt like fish-chips was not really worth the price as there was only 1 or 2pieces of fish and the remaining were vegetables. Overall the service was good and satisfied with the experience.

I've dinned at both Splendido Grill and La Terraza on different occasions, and although dining at the Grill was a great experience, La Terraza definitely stood out. First and foremost, thank you, Gabriel, for your unmatched hospitality and kindness towards our 5 year old. She still raves about the flowers you picked for her to match her dress and bag. What a beautiful way to set the tune for the rest of our day. I absolutely adore Portofino, it will forever be one of m favourite places, and the views from this particular spot are unrivalled. The atmosphere is calm and very pleasant. Food is exceptional. Can't wait to return.

Esperienza unica ,adesso che il ristorante dell’hotel Splendido , ha aperto anche all’utenza esterna. Proviamo a cena a fine settembre ed è una serata ventosa : il personale di sala mi porta subito un Pachmina per proteggermi dal freddo. Il menù scelto è all’altezza delle aspettative : dal primo piatto, passando per il secondo e finendo con un dolce. La vista è spettacolare come si può vedere dalle foto.Personale gentilissimo e spesa corrispondente al servizio offerto

Splendido non può che essere il nome perfetto per questo hotel: meticolosamente curato e immerso nella natura con vista sull’insenatura di Portofino. Il ristorante al suo interno “La Terrazza” è impeccabile in ogni suo aspetto. I nostri complimenti vanno a tutto il personale che lavora in modo egregio: siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti dal garbo e dalla professionalità trovata. Veniamo alla cucina: altrettanto deliziosa; abbiamo scelto entrambi il vitello tonnato come antipasto proseguendo con le trofie al pesto ed il polipo.. che dire: tutto squisito! Sono impazzita assaggiando il pesto delle trofie del mio ragazzo (gliele avrei rubate tutte!!!) trofie cotte alla perfezione ed il pesto leggero e cremoso. La carta dei vini, anch’essa eccezionale, offre diverse chicche tra cui scegliere; noi abbiamo optato per un Perrier-Jouet del 2014. È stato senza dubbio il posto migliore dove festeggiare il nostro primo anniversario! Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti ✨

The staff are attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely passionate about creating a perfect dining experience. We had the pleasure of being served by Tekla, who is from Georgia — our home country. Meeting her was such a warm surprise, and she guided us perfectly in choosing desserts that ended our meal on the sweetest possible note. La Terrazza is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where every detail, from the cuisine to the view to the warm hospitality, is executed at the highest level. A must-visit for anyone looking to savor the finest of Portofino.

The food was served cold, so it wasn’t as good as expected. Ambiance was great for a girl’s or date night. Above all, we had a little incident and I really want to thank the staff who called the ambulance and took care of us while waiting for it to arrive 🥹

Wenn man in Portofino ist sollte man das Terrassen Restaurant im Splendido besuchen. Wir hatten ein kleines Mittagessen mit einer phantastischen Aussicht auf die Bucht. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service war top, vielleicht etwas mehr italienischen Flair aber was soll’s……. der Nachmittag auf der Splendido-Terrasse war sein Geld wert. Fazit: Bei unseren nächsten Besuch sitzen wir wieder auf der Terrasse und geniessen den Ausblick und das Essen.

Absolutely spectacular - "bucket list" setting. The service was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and savvy. The food was the most beautiful I've ever seen, and just as delicious. The music, the setting, and the landscaping were so beautiful. If you're not staying at the Hotel Splendido, or in Portofino, I'd recommend scheduling a transfer service to take you - there are a limited number of cars allowed into Portofino. But the local drivers are allowed to drop off. And it's very hilly, so if you have folks who aren't able to climb a lot of stairs, it's important to drive to the hotel entrance and then walk to the restaurant. We would enthusiastically go back.

Had a lovely lunch experience at La Terrazza in Portofino! The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the vitello tonnato and pasta. But the real highlight? The view. Absolutely breathtaking! Dining with that stunning Portofino scenery in the background made the whole experience unforgettable. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing meal with a view you won’t forget. 🌅🍝✨

Un luogo incantevole, dal cibo meraviglioso e da un altrettanto servizio ottimo e qualificato. Stupendo

Niente da dire posto magico , se avete intenzione di andare a Portofino non potete non andare alla terrazza restaurant, lo staff è sempre presente per qualsiasi esigenza “noi abbiamo avuto il piacere di essere seguiti da Salvatore un ragazzo gentilissimo “. Il cibo è buonissimo si sente la qualità. Sicuramente al nostro ritorno a Portofino torneremo.

Non posso non lasciare una recensione per questo splendido posto di nome e di fatto. Una meraviglia a cielo aperto; io e la mia compagna siamo stati qui prima per l'aperitivo e poi per la cena. Aperitivo: invece di prendere il solito e scontato gin tonic mi sono fidato di uno dei ragazzi che è venuto a prendere l'ordine e sono rimato super soddisfatto. Cena: siamo stati accontentati con un tavolo vista golfo, la qualità e la maestria dei piatti è fuori discussione. Abbiamo preso un guazzetto a base di aragosta, scampi e astice ed è stato sublime. Ciò che abbiamo pagato vale l'esperienza (posto incantevole, vista da paura, materia prima di livello alto, estrema gentilezza del personale). Il mio personale saluto va al cameriere di origini siciliane di cui purtroppo non ricordo il nome che ci ha servito in modo impeccabile con simpatia e professionalità. E' stato tutto perfetto, grazie!

“Nothing compares to this”, perché una volta stati li’ nulla sarà più all altezza. Struttura oltre le aspettative, vista meravigliosa, personale preparato, gentilissimo e pronto alla battuta, cantina eccellente e portate che lasciano senza parole. Nuovo posto del cuore.

Service was friendly and the food was yummy but you pay for the history and the ambiance and it’s well worth it. I tried the Elizabeth Taylor pasta which is literally dry pasta with three textures of tomatoes and certainly the most expensive pasta I’ve ever had for what it was but to dine where so many other glamorous Hollywood celebrities regularly dined with a stunning blue view of the sea (as dictated by all of the photos hanging in the lobby) well, you can’t really put a price on that

We spent three days at the hotel and ate twice at this restaurant. The view was breathtaking, and the staff was professional, as one would expect. The Liz Taylor pasta was delicious, as were all the pastas. Unfortunately, the meat and fish courses were not up to standard on both occasions. Vladi entertained us with his great music and made us forget about both the fish and meat! 🎹 🪇

The view is the only thing this restaurant has. The service is below zero. At first they didn't bring us a wine list. Then we ordered wine, but it was brought when the food was already cold. The level of food is like in a regular tourist trattoria. So you only pay for the view.

“One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had — and that’s saying something.” I had a confirmed reservation at La Terrazza in Portofino. I was running slightly late, so I did the right thing: I called ahead, informed them, and even offered to place my order over the phone to make things easier. They agreed, took my order, and reassured me. Minutes before arriving, they suddenly called to say my table had been given to someone else and that I could only sit at the bar — despite the fact that I had a reservation and had already ordered! They then told me that if I came, I would just need to wait a little at the bar before getting my table. When I arrived, the security at the entrance refused to let me up to the restaurant. I called the concierge, who promised to speak to security, yet even after she called him directly, he still would not allow me in. The complete lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect for guests is astonishing — especially for a restaurant in such a location. La Terrazza managed to turn what should have been a special evening into a frustrating and humiliating experience. If this is how they treat paying guests with confirmed reservations, I can’t imagine how they handle anything more complex. Absolutely unacceptable.
