Splendido Grill

We didn’t have a reservation but the manager luckily made a table available to us last minute and I’m very glad he did. The staff was very courteous and always attentive to our every need. The food was the cherry on the top. It was definitely a fine dining experience. The meat, chicken, and lobster were extremely tender and full of flavor. The chef even came out and made sure that we were satisfied with our meals; which added to the value in the service provided. The manager also came to us personally and made sure we were satisfied and we were extremely satisfied with everything on the menu, including dessert. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great dining experience with a beautiful view; as it was nestled on a small mountain overlooking the beautiful water. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We went to the splendido grill for our anniversary and everyone was so lovely the service was impeccable! I do want to thank Neno personally he truly made our meal fabulous, from helping us pick out the best dishes to making our meal so pleasant and fun! He was truly the best!

Absolutely amazing, from the staff to the food and the view was to die for! Would highly recommend to anyone spending some time in Portofino. Definitely the best restaurant in town for a reason!

I think everyone knows the score in Portofino - breathtaking views, pretty good service, rubbing shoulders with the great and good - the food gets overlooked. Food at the Grill was sub-par, but hey, you know you’re not coming for *real* fine-dining. The beef brisket was a little dry, the risotto with scampi was moving around on the plate because it was so raw, and the spicy chicken was unfortunately a little bland. However - the setting is immaculate, the twosome band that were playing guitar and piano were delightful and so swarthy it made me feel I was in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and the staff couldn’t have gone to more trouble to help us - particularly Chiara. Will always come back - and they know it 😉

I have to be critical here just to help this restaurant to get honest feedback. If you care, you will listen. We loved the experience itself, we loved the staff and of course the view. But guys, if we pay 60€ p.p for a main course, we expect the food to be with sides, with more taste and spices. Same for the fish, we expected to filet it for us, at least for that price. Espresso was kind of cold and dessert was definitely not home made. We had a feeling that we just paid for the view and some jokes from the waiter but not for food. That is the reason why we gave 2 stars out of 5. At the end 350€ for the nice view.
