This place never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, the food is good, and it's a little oasis right in Poughkeepsie. We've been here a number of times, but yesterday was the first time I ever ordered a coffee. It was surprisingly good!

In and out trip, so I cannot comment on service as I made an online order and picked it up. Food was ready in a timely manner. The tacos I ordered. OH DANG. They were good. 11/10 will eat here again.

Great place for lunch, dinner, and going out with friends. Establishment provides a very clean service areas, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a safe and fun environment. For our visit, we had Jessica as our waitress, super friendly, great attitude, and gave us lots of attention. I am confident that her job performance reflects that of this establishment. Food was delicious. Came out hot, drinks are made quickly and tasted phenomenal. Would absolutely love to visit again!

I love going to Hurricane - it is one of my favorite restaurants! The atmosphere is lovely and brings the beach vibe. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes - I am never disappointed with what I order. Our server Da-Sean was awesome too, he was so friendly. Definitely one of the best servers I have had. Can’t wait to go back!

Kevin was our server. He was very attentive and friendly. Ordered the pretzel with beer cheese, Spicy Tater Tots (forget the actual name of the dish), and Boneless wings. My virgin strawberry daiquiri was really tasty.

I have been here with my bestie on more than one occasion as well as ordering online twice and picking it up during my work sessions/hours and also here with my son. I had both positive experiences with both. For eat in, they were friendly, food was good, no errors, very attentive to needs, everything was pretty good and the atmosphere was great. Online, I haven't encountered any errors and its est picked up time is pretty much to a T, an email is sent to me and is works out good.- No errors on that and everything I would need came packaged neatly together. The evening shift leader and or manager is very good as well and making sure everything and everyone is fine with their food orders. 1-5 , *4.5, which says a lot. Thank you again! Charles.

Hurricane Grill & Wings is perfect for anyone looking for good food that’s easy to enjoy with family! The wings, burger and tacos were spot on—packed with flavor and super easy to eat without any hassle. But the real highlight? The desserts! My son couldn’t get enough, as you can see in the picture of him devouring this sweet treat. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual, satisfying meal. Definitely recommend for a delicious and family-friendly dining experience!

One thing that stood out on my most recent visit is not only that they have been consistent over the many years I have stopped in for some wings and atmosphere with friends, but that now that my friends have children hurricanes is still a place that checks the boxes. Staff was accommodating, polite and quick to help. The place was clean and the kids menu was a big plus. Cyclone wings are still the fan fave.

I had an exceptional experience with Carmen. She was incredibly courteous and showed genuine respect and attentiveness throughout our interaction. Her patience was evident as she took the time to address all my questions thoroughly and without any hint of impatience. Our server Gavin was super friendly with a nice smile! He helped me navigate the menu and made recommendations on food which was delish! Service was fast and he checked in multiple times to see if we needed anything.

Food was great and customer service was top notch. Our server Carmen was very attentive and continued to check on us to make sure we were good and didn’t need anything. Would definitely come back and hope to have Carmen as my server again! I highly recommend the bacon guacamole burger!

I usually try to come in on Monday’s for the 5 dollar margaritas (which so good!!) and every Monday i have the best server. DaSean is great! Very attentive and is always on top of everything, making sure the food is exactly how I like it and it’s always perfect! He’s also always very polite and has the best personality for the job. If you ever have the chance to come into hurricane definitely request DaSean as your server, you won’t be disappointed.

While not the focus of this review, the food was phenomenal. Freshly prepared and promptly served, hot & crispy perfectly seasoned fries, breaded-&-fried-to-order golden brown chicken tenders, incredible dipping sauces, and chilled crisp coleslaw that wasn't dry yet also wasn't swimming in dressing. Kitchen crew performed A+ work! The true inspiration to write this review however, was the impeccable customer service I received sitting at the bar. My bartender this evening (4/9/2024), Kim, was a perfect example of how the job should be done. I cannot praise her enough. Even though I came in an hour before close and was the only person in there not on the clock, Kim was the physical embodiment of hospitality. Greeted me with a smile and eye contact, provided a natural and seamless flow of service, ensured accuracy of everything from the sauces ordered to confirming one extra time that she was about to run the correct card on the food and not the beer. I never once felt rushed or that my presence was in anyway impeding on her ability to finish the shift, this is, sadly, a rare quality these days. Kim even did the side work and stocking in a way that seemed to downplay the fact that they were closing tasks. I have worked in restaurants/hospitality for 20 years and have observed hundreds, if not thousands, of different servers/bartenders doing their jobs and interacting with guests or coworkers. In the post-COVID era of restaurants, or any customer service industry, the percentage of workers that have a true passion and love for their craft has plummeted. This all-too-often results in a poor guest experience compounded by the indifferent attitudes of staff and management. My experience tonight with Kim at Hurricane Grill reminded me that people who truly enjoy bringing a small slice of happiness to a stranger's day can and will find their way into the industry I so love and have dedicated my life to. And I hope those people, like Kim, continue to consistently provide the level of service I received tonight, for generations to come.

Love this place!! Been a customer for 5+ years now, and that’s not by accident!! Great food, drinks and atmosphere!! The best bartenders and I LOVE the outside patio…..it’s hard to believe that you are sitting in Poughkeepsie, it feels like a beachside bistro. My favorite drink is a Solarita and I love the Mexican street corn, too!! Local bands have been known to liven up a Saturday night, so THAT’s always fun….. All in all, just gotta say, I love Hurricane’s Bar and Grill!!❤️😋

I was in upper nyc area and Google a place for lunch and came across this gem. Very clean restaurant, service was excellent and the food was delicious. If you don't know what you want. GET ANY OF THE HAMBURGERS. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Very good selection of beer on tap also.

Last night was the best. A great old school Live band, called Bosco and great food. A Perfect combination. The server Alex was attentive, patient and welcoming(Thank you). Great atmosphere, we met new friends(exchange phone numbers). My family and I had a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to returning in the future. With the hopes the band will be performing again.

The food is delicious, my favorite is the Mexican street corn, I ordered with nachos every time I am there. The staff is very attentive and kind. They have live music almost every weekend and a big free parking lot. I can’t wait to be back to watch the games!

I was here last weekend with friends who came up from the city and it was so good. First time coming here wings were cooked to perfection, drinks were exactly how we wanted them, and everything came out quickly, our server Dasean was extremely helpful with menu and nice. Definitely will be returning again soon sometime this summer!

The staff were so polite and welcoming as soon as my family and I stepped foot into the restaurant. I had Kevin as my server and he was very attentive, kind, and answered all our questions about the menu with no hesitation. Their manager Kelly was also super sweet and respectful. I went to hurricane restaurant to check it out and so far my experience was great. As I walk in the restaurant I was greeted politely. I went to the bar and female bartender was genuinely nice and very friendly. She took my orders and my food came out in 10 min. The food was really great. I also want to say the Kelly the manager was very polite as well. She made me feel welcome and comfortable to be in the restaurant. I really enjoyed the restaurant and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Today I had an out of body experience at Hurricane Grill & Wings. I came in just looking for a place to eat but as soon as I walked in I knew that this would be much more. The vibe was instantly super accepting and fun. All ages were enjoying food, talking, watching the game, or a combination of the 3. My family was quickly seated and asked what we wanted to eat. My jaw dropped when I read about the McDaddy burger, and it must have dislocated because it dropped farther when the food arrived (it arrived very quickly as well). Basically what the McDaddy burger is, is a 1/2 lbs burger with peppers, onion, lettuce, tomato, and everything you would put on a burger. Oh, and they put MAC & CHEESE BITES ON THE BURGER!!! I very likely shaved a few years off my life expectancy but it was worth it. The amazement didn't stop at my plate though. My brother got a burger in between 2 quesadillas overflowing with cheese. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! 110%, 1000/10, 10x👍.

We had a birthday party at Hurricane's last night and it was very nice. Kelly, who took our reservation for 22 people, was a pleasure to deal with. I stopped in to see her the fast before the party to discuss table setup, gift table, etc. It all ended up being perfect. Kevin, our waiter, was top notch. He was quick, smart, efficient, pleasant, and ever so accommodating! Even with a group of the 20+ people we had, the drinks flowed smoothly, the food all pretty much came out at the same time (as quick as one man man do). And the manager Will came to me to make sure if they're was anything we needed, to just let him know. And, we weren't rushed out. We started the party at 6 pm, and all departed about 9:15 pm. I would definitely have another event there...hopefully when I do, Kevin will still be there! Thank you Hurricane's 😊

⭐️ -Very nice bar/restaurant. Beach/tiki vibe. I had a visit for lunch on a Wednesday it was very quiet. Full bar and lots of space. I assume the evening brings a more up-beat. I had chicken casadilas and a mojito as a drink. The Bartender was really nice and polite. Very clean and tidy establishment. Overall good experience. The Hurricane Grill and wings is a fantastic stop. The prices range from $15 and up. They do have a few cheaper options. The sodas and lemonade are unlimited refill. The garlic Parm sauce is a must try. You can't stop because it tastes so good. The staff is polite and friendly. The experience is unlike anything else. It's definitely worth it and a must try. The deserts were also quite tempting and a should try. Everything from the decorations to the food to staff was unmatched. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. They have eating outside and in; So why not stop by for a quick bite.

Very nice staff, always. Food is what you'd expect at a wings joint, and well priced. House wine is bottom-of-the-barrel, but they have a nice selection of spiked seltzers (which made me happy) and plenty of drink specials. Good live music on Saturday nights too, and the outdoor area is amazing!

After years of not stopping by, went for lunch and it's like a new place from my last visit. The staff was friendly and welcoming the service was fast, the food was good and the drinks were great. The place was clean and organized. Very impressed 👏 I will deffenetlt come back now. Below is my old review. --------- Drinks were really good for a chain restaurant. Food was horrible. Ordered 2 burgers and a wings to share as appetizers. All the food came out at the same time and it was cold and the meat bland. Staff wasn't present with the exception of the bartenders. Tables were dirty. In general find a better spot! I do not recommend.

The place is extremely clean and my waitress was very sweet and on her job. The rest of the staff, such as the hostess was very polite. The cook came out and asked us how our food was and it was scrumptious. Kid-friendly place! I would definitely come again!

I had a great time, my burger was great. Although they did mess it up once, I understand people make mistakes. The decoration is also amazing, I feel like Im actually at the beach. The only negative I have is that there is very loud music around the bar.

Waiting for my wife's dentist appointment so stopped in for a quick bite. Sat at the bar and had a shrimp appetizer and dessert. Bartender very friendly. Only reason not 5 stars is 2 different people from kitchen brought my food to the bar and barely acknowledged me and walked away. Other than that a fun place and good food.

I had crab tater tots with calamari and hubby had the ahi tuna taco's. Both were awesome!

The food and atmosphere were great, the band that was playing was decent. The server was not so great. She was tipped more than I would have preferred due to us being a large party.

This is a great spot for wings! The layout is extra awesome if it's a nice day. The ambiance definitely makes you feel like you're near a beach. They do a top-notch job on the wings and have a lot of delicious flavors! The other appetizers are good as well. The only gripe I have about this location is the draft beer tastes like the lines don't get cleaned often. They have plenty of bottles to choose from though!

Nice place to watch a sporting event. Especially when the garage door opens. 😀

The food at Hurricane Grill & Wings-Poughkeepsie is overall a 4/5. The wings are 5/5, however. They have an assortment of flavors to choose from. My favorite dish to get from here is the gridiron wings. The flavor is powerful, the sauce is a bit savory, skin is crispy, chicken is tender, and the meat is juicy. My second favorite dish is their Bavarian pretzel. The sauce that it comes with is amazing. The prices are a little high, especially for the quantity of food that you get. Why is a pretzel $15 lol? Insane to me. The burgers taste...well...okay. I had their chicken sandwich and it was not great at all. It didn't have any sauce and also lacked flavor. The French fries are mid. You are better off ordering a different side with your burger or wings. The ambiance is great overall but you don't have much personal space if you are going for a date.

If you're just looking for good food, this is a great place to come. Food is amazing and comes out pretty fast most of the time. Prices are really resasonble and worth the money. That said there are a few drawbacks that stop this from being a 5 star. While never messy or gross to the point of wanting to move, the seats and tables are slightly sticky and visibly dirty. The servers are nice and quick to seat you but they are understaffed and take a while to get to you sometimes.

Decent for what it is. The wings were good. My biggest complaint is they dont have free refills in sodas and no one tells you until the bill comes. It’s kind of a given that sodas have free refills in a chain place like this.

Food was great, nothing extraordinary. We went on a slow Wednesday evening, so the staff was taking their time which is fine, but it took longer than expected to receive refills and the check. Overall the vibe of the restaurant is fantastic with the beach house decor, but the food quality and service could be improved.

My mom and I stopped in tonight for dinner and service was absolute GARBAGE! We sat outside being that the weather was nice and waited 20mins before a guy came over to take our drink order. At that time we also ordered our food. We waited about another 30 mins and our food came out by a different server but we still did not have our drinks from the bar. Honestly at that point I didn’t even want the drink. My mom asked what took so long and we were told the bar was “backed up”. We both looked around and the place wasn’t even that busy but whatever. The guy then said the drinks were on the house. Ok cool thanks. Then a female came over with the check and stood there waiting for my mom to hand her the card like she was in a rush to get us out of there. (She also mentioned “she had our table” but didn’t wait on us ONCE the whole time we were there til it came time to pay the bill. We paid the bill and I made a statement to her that the service sucked tonight as we had 3 different people waiting on us!? The female apologized and said they had an employee “no call no show”. Honestly I didn’t want to hear it figure it out. I told her we have 13 people coming for dinner on Friday for my father’s birthday but now I’m about to find another place to eat because this was hands down the worst experience I have ever had here! She said I can get the manager for you I said no need.

Overpriced food and drinks. Careful bartender was padding our bill and served over intoxicated people. I asked her to cut my friends off but still she kept serving them shots and beer. Our bill was $500 for 3 people. She should be fired

3 separate times we’ve had bad service at this location . Today was the last, walked in and greeted and seated. Then waited 15-20 minutes without a server coming to our table for a drink order, all while 4 tables were seated and served drinks while we waited. Walked the door. Told the hostess on the way out, not even a response. Won’t EVER go back. Shame because their food is really pretty good.

We arrived about an hour before my wife’s coworkers’s band was going to play music. We sat an available table for almost 45 minutes without anyone taking a drink order. A sassy mouthed server finally came and told us to move because the table was reserved for someone else. There weren’t any signs on the row of open tables and other people sat there as well. A rude buss boy, who thought he was tough, told us to get out as well as another table. Gladly we did. Never been there before and I’ll never go back since they have no clue how to run their so called reserved tables. We were only there for the band and we don’t drink anyway. No loss since we can see the band elsewhere to the nasty buss boy, you’re very lucky I was in a good mood. Don’t waste your time at this place unless you like being treated rudely

My family and I ate dinner tonight at Hurricane Grill and Wings in Poughkeepsie. We are loyal customers who eat at Hurricane's. Tonight we experienced the worst service imaginable. It started off when I asked if I could substitute another side instead of chips and salsa and was told I could not. We placed our order including boneless wings as an appetizer. Then, Brett our waiter told us we could only get 3 sauces instead of 4 which was not that way last month. My daughter and I finished our drinks and were not asked if we needed refills. All of a sudden all the food came out including our appetizer. I said to our waiter that we wanted the wings before dinner and that they should be comped. He spoke to the manager who agreed. Not once did the manager come over to make sure things were okay. The waiter did not ask us how our dinner was. The waiter started talking bad about us to the customers that were behind us which is very unprofessional. We had to ask for the check and for two containers. At this point, the waiter apologized. I said to him that he provided the worst service my family and I have experienced and we would probably not be back. I said you did not once try to make things better with the appetizer until I suggested it be comped. Also, you did not ask us how our food was done nor get us refills until you were asked. The waiter walked around our table 4 times not asking if we needed refills. He said thank you for the constructive criticism and that he would try to do better. He did however give the table in front of us better service than us. He was very passive aggressive and the manager should have dealt appropriately with him. On a positive note, the food was good.

Two friends and I walked in around 330ish. First impression. CLEAN FUN and a great place to day drink we were excited bar was decently full and maybe had 3 tables. She asked us if we wanted a booth or a table. We were indifferent on the question so responded with a simple “surprise us” not sure why but this genuinely seemed to annoying the young lady sitting us. We sat down waited 8 min before she came back asking if we were ready. I asked if she had any fun drinks that were nonalcoholic for my friend who happens to be underage. She responded “well….. I mean I guess we can make a daiquiri”. At this point I was over it we got up and left. The three of us work in the service/ tipping industry we get it some days are just not it. But getting an attitude and waiting 8 min for water in a restaurant that was no where near the definition busy is unacceptable.

Did not have a great experience at all when I came here. The broccoli I ordered was covered in mold so I brought it to the server’s attention since I am severely allergic to mold and she was very understanding about it, but when she brought back the replacement it still had mold on it. The server brought this to the managers attention and I received a gift card so I thought everything was resolved. But as soon as we left there my boyfriend got terribly sick from the food he had eaten and we had to cancel our plans for the rest of the night. The cooks in the kitchen are definitely not doing their job right. But on a positive note, our server was fantastic!

This was my second time giving this place a try. Now it's my last. Once again I ordered online and I cant even understand why it's so difficult for them to get the order correct. I asked for sauce on the side and they got that right. I asked for no green onions on the korean taco but I received tasteless meat in a flour tortilla....no onions didn't mean no flavor/no slaw that was advertised with this meal. I'm done giving this place a try. I wanted delivery so I didnt have to cook tonight but instead I had to re prepare the food with flavors before I could eat it because it was gross so bland.

We have a dinner at Hurricane tonight at 8:30, the food was good, until we have that coconut shrimp. Hurricane don’t have coconut shrimp in the appetizer, It’s a main entree, it come with two sides. The coconut shrimp is very sweet, so when it deep fried it turn brown easy, that is not the problem. But it not FULLY cooked! A dish only have about 8-9 pieces of the shrimp. We have four people, each of us eat one, we all feel it tastes little weird and not right. I have second price, bite it halfway and see the shrimp is no fully cooked, and in the dish there only have 3/4 pieces left, plus we already eat the side dishes. We talked to one of the servers about the problem, she said she will let the manager to come. The manager come, we explained the coconut shrimp is not fully cooked! I think the at that moment the manager might think we want a free dishes or something. The manager said she can replace it with couple more pieces of coconut shrimp for us, make it more crispier to make sure it done, or replace with other side dishes . we replaced it with a house salad instead. The manager was agree to replace with salad, but after 10-15 minutes wait, We still not received our salad. Pulse we already finish with other dishes, and during that waiting time no one check on us. We choose to pay our bill, tips our waitress and left. Manager didn’t do any more additional work, she just said sorry and took my money. Our bill is around $110. I think that manager need little more training. And handling the problem like that, she need to do the following up with the kitchen and the services. we usually have it carry out. Food is always been good, tonight is the first time we try that coconut shrimp, so disappointed. Everyone who is going to order that coconut shrimp again in Hurricanes, don’t put the whole piece in your mouth, because you might not able to tell it fully cook or not.

They messed up my sandwich to go and I called to let them know and the manager said she would give me credit towards another one next one I come in. I call week later and she said I had to get the sandwich next day that she will not honor the free one now although she does remember they messed up the sandwich. Never told me I had to come next day to get the right food. Extreme poor customer service

One star only because I had to. It should get no stars after what my group witnessed this weekend. Customers frequent this establishment to enjoy a night out with their family which includes children as your company states "It’s a place the whole family can enjoy" What i saw and heard made me realize that the management team at Hurricane need compassion training as it was proven by behaviors and choice of words spoken by The male manager who had to speak with a guest in regards to their child (a beautiful little girl who was enjoying her evening). In no way shape or form should he have said what he said when his position requires him to serve the public without bias and with empathy. I will never step foot in this establishment again as I'm sure many other other patrons who witnessed the ordeal also confirmed. Words like "make the child sit" should never be uttered especially in such a belittling manner! Look into your staff and their behaviors and hire individuals who can keep your company in business as if these behaviors continue im sure this franchise will never be able to recoup. I see kid-friendlineess as an option below but the behavior of the manager confirms that Hurricane should be an adult only environment.

Me, my Daughter and Grandson came to have lunch and the place was basically empty all the wait staff was just standing there except for one waiter he was going back and forth taking care of his tables the waitress was just walking back and forth doing nothing I had to keep asking the waitress if someone was going to take our drink orders she said yes and never came back so then I stopped the bartender and had her take our orders that’s just ridiculous!!!!! The bartender was very apologetic and offered us a free dessert which was very nice of her so my Grandson ordered the great American cookies cookie sundae it was so good…..Thank you for making it right it’s appreciated….The food was also delicious

Ordered an Orange Mochito, rotten and old mint leave and was not very refreshing or crisp. Second attempt, not much better, didn't muddle mint or fruit each time, different combination of fruit each time. Music outside was too loud, they did nothing to lower it when asked, and it was a little loud. The beachside chicken was really good.

If I could give Zero Stars, I would. This place is horrific. The food was good. The server himself was good. The website home page shows teo coupons. We ordered food, got our bill, told them we had a coupon and they told us we couldn’t use it cause it wasn’t their coupon. But it’s on their website, their Home page, not some third party. Nothing saying you couldn’t use the coupon in the restaurant. We called the regional manager, Jesus, and he said it’s corporates fault as they control the website. He is the face of the restaurant when corporate isn’t there. He offered us a gift card for more than the discount, but because we won’t come back, we don’t need a gift card. So he was willing to give us more money but not the discount we were owed. We come here every time we are in town. Never again.

Disgusting inedible slop. Chicken was pink in the middle, pulled pork was ICE cold, pickles tasted like they were brined in dish water. 100% NOT worth the money. The only thing I recommend is that you go someplace else to eat, this is NOT it!

The food wasn’t bad but I was disappointed with the customer service. Had dinner at Hurricane with my wife, friend and his son. My friend and I ordered a few island margaritas but requested it be made with espolon tequila. We received the bill and noticed that they charged for 4 island margaritas and 4 espolon drinks. So instead of charging for 4 drinks they charged for 8 because espolon was used for the 4 drinks. I understand that extra is charged for “top shelf” but not an entire drink🙄So we spoke to the manager and ask why we were Charged for 8 drinks. He stated that the bartender said she made 8 drinks which were delivered to us and never explaining that the espolon was charged as an extra drink. Now We disputed the bill, never stating that the bill wasn’t going to be paid but asking why they were Charging extra drinks instead of charging a bit more for using a ‘’’top shelf tequila.” The manager which in my opinion was clueless, stated that they would review camera to confirm that 8 drinks were delivered, still clueless that 4 extra drinks were being charged just bc espolon was used to make the drinks. We agreed that camera should be reviewed. He came back, didn’t review camera but stated that his boss said that the bill had to be paid and threatened to call the Police if the bill was not paid. Again, we never said that we wasn’t going to pay and remained calm and respectful throughout the dispute. While still conversing with the manager and attempting the clarify the issue, the Police arrived outside 😂 unbelievable. I even had my card on the table to pay even though the manager wasn’t understanding that we were being charged extra drinks just because substituted the tequila 🤦🏽‍♂️ places like this don’t deserve our business. They lost a customer and a department. .

I seriously don’t understand how every single time we order take out it’s horrendous. No complex orders just pay extra for extra sauces. I have called to no avail every time there’s an issue which is every time. My husband picked up today and checked everything. Of course it was missing the extra Cesar dressing. Well, the girl goes in the back and brings out a container. He assumed he didn’t need to taste it but get home and it’s ranch. I can’t with this horrible service anymore. This place used to be great. Not anymore.
