Last Saturday evening, my loved ones and I had a delightful time at Villa Capri. If you're looking for delicious and abundant dining as well as a warm and welcoming vibe, then this is the place for you. Extra points for its genuine Italian feel. It was like a newer, renovated version of what I've experienced in Manhattan's Little Italy. Shoutout to our friendly and elegant server, Luis, as well as our kind and respectful bus boy whom I'll rename bus GENTLEMAN, Ramiro. From the host who sat us, to the waiter who served us, to the gentleman who refilled our waters and took our plates, these guys provide world class care. Booked a trip to Italy this summer? Consider cancelling and putting that cash in the bank, maybe in a savings account for your kid's schooling. Then, just go here every evening for dinner! : ) It was that good, friends. It was that good AND filling -- while ordering in a conservative way, I left with another entire meal for the next day. Much respect from a somewhat snobby NYC food critic, Kat AKA Katerina PS I'd recommend a reservation, as this place is understandably popular.
Absolutely amazing - I love this Italian restaurant! Service was on point. Excellence food (melanzane alla parmigiana) and wines. Nice interior and parking nearby. You got water bread for free
This Italian restaurant offers authentic flavors that are hard to resist! I tried the Burratta Spinaci, Ravioli Di Margo for appetizer and entrée respectively. Vulcano for dessert topped off a wonderful dinner.
The food and service are on point at Villa Capri! Come hungry or share a dish; portions are very generous! We all had leftovers. Dessert was delicious. Unfortunately not pics of the chocolate mousse or tiramisu as we immediately devoured them as soon as they hit the table. But trust me, they're delicious!!
Villa Capri is a fantastic spot with fresh, flavorful Italian food that never disappoints. The atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind. The service is top-notch, with staff always attentive and friendly. With calming music and just the right noise level, it’s an ideal setting for a casual yet memorable dining experience. Highly recommend!
Fettuccine was excellent: meat ball spaghetti was low on sauce and perfect amount; great cheese salad was really refreshing; lobster ravioli spice was delicious:
I rarely go to Italian restaurants: the marinara sauce is too acidic at most places. So I just avoid them. My family suggested Villa Capri based on a friend's experience, so we tried it. This review is past due since I've now eaten there twice. This review is of our most recent visit. We started with the mixed seasoned grilled vegetables - a perfectly prepared combination of zucchini, summer squash, red and green peppers, and mushrooms. Sadly, you only get a picture of zucchini, as we devoured the rest before I thought to get a picture. My daughter had the Penne Elena - grilled salmon with penne pasta, prepared with gluten free noodles. She said her salmon was not overcooked, which can be a problem at some places. As you can see, it looked amazing. My wife had the Francesca - also penne pasta with salmon, but this salmon was mixed into the dish along with asparagus tips, leeks, and a pink tomato sauce. She enjoyed it immensely. I had the Ravioli special for the evening - basic cheese ravioli but with spinach added, in a basil marinara sauce. Beautiful, flavorful, thick sauce with no hint of acidity. Topped with fresh grated Parmesan, Don't be afraid to try the house red wine. It nicely complemented my meal. And good gluten free choices are always a welcome find. We'll be back.
WOW !!! AMAZING Food, Fantastic Service and Great Value. WoW !! This place is awesome. Yes you must go to Villa Capri, it is really that good. We just moved to this area and in less than a month we have visited this restaurant 3 times. Me and my family love good food and have done fair share of travelling . The food here is like taking a trip to Italy. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavors. From the first time we came here, we felt like we are guests in there house. Service is fast and friendly. We have tried many items from the menu and so far nothing has disappointed us . My wife loves the Salmone ai Carciofin , she said its out of the world. My favorite is Seafood Penne Elena. On the side note its hard to please my kids but they absolutely love this place. Thank you Anthony and family for running a great restaurant and making us feel like home, we really appreciate it. See you soon !! Grazie!!
Walked past it for years, assuming it was more upscale then we're used to. Decided to finally give them a try this weekend. The patio had heaters but I wish they were more spread out (the only negative). The waiter was very attentive, we didnt wait long for anything! The bread they serve was warm, and delicious (they were supposed to bring out olive oil to dip but forgot- its fine, the patio was busy and we never did remind him. The bread was great on its own and with the marinara provides). Then we got bruschetta and it was simple and fresh but very tasty- with super chunky tomatos and not a ton of extra stuff weighing it down. It was gone in seconds. The best thing was the off-menu butternut squash ravioli with gorgonzola sauce - looked plain on the plate but we wanted seconds once they were gone! The pasta was vodka sauce and salmon was good, and I wished there were a few more croutons in my panzanella salad but with the chicken added it was still really good. Will be back to try more of the entrees!

My family (5 of us) had dinner there on 12/26. This restaurant has been in business for at least 12 years-we took my dad there before he passed away and he loved it too. The osso bucco is delicious. And my sis says her gnocchi dinner was wonderful too. Staff hard working and friendly. Very generous portions and plenty to take home. They were hopping the night we went there, but I was able to get a reservation that morning. So few neighborhood eateries like this anymore. Enjoy!
We’ve eaten there 4-5 times and the food has always been excellent. It’s a smaller restaurant so you may want to make reservations. Happy Hour is a great bargain in the bar area.
Came here for the first time last week for a birthday dinner for my wife with friends, everything was amazing start to finish! Great food, great service and great ambiance!!! Can’t wait to return and try more dishes. 10 out of 10. 100% recommend if you are looking for a great restaurant in the Poway area.
Got a large takeout order on a busy weekend night. The order was totally correct, the food hot and fresh and totally delicious. Good job from a busy kitchen.

We had a great dinner on a Thursday night with excellent service. They had a private event on the night we went so we had to stay on the patio which was a little chilly at night but the staff fired up the heaters to ensure it was comfortable. Food was very good and the service was excellent. We had the mussels appetizer Brodetto di Cozze which was very good, brazed beef ravioli special also good, Salmone ai Carciofi - Atlantic Salmon, and Sea Bass special. Make sure you make reservations as they tend to be very busy especially on weekends.
Nice neighborhood Italian restaurant. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. They usually have daily meat, seafood, and ravioli specials. They have a heated outdoor covered patio as well as seating inside and at the bar. I like their palm of hearts with arugula salad. Add protein like chicken for $8 and it's the perfect meal. Their pastas are good too.
Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. Service sucked. Our waiter was at our table twice at the beginning then we had to beg the manager for stuff for the rest of dinner. The busser provided better service than any of them.
Glad to be able to have authentic Italian in my neighborhood. Celebrated my mom's birthday. I always order carpaccio di manzo, and calamari fritti. It was rainy Monday at 6:30. The restaurant was very crowded. Recommend to make a reservation.
We just had pasta here on a random evening (June ‘22). The food was good but wasn’t amazing. Portions are good. You can sit outside on a cute little patio.

I ordered food through DoorDash tonight, but I didn't get my soup. It was a bummer, but I got garlic bread instead. I'll order the soup next time and hopefully receive it! Everything was so good though! Would eat from here again.

Our food was decent. There was something that just didn't seem right about this place & I couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't really busy. Very nicely decorated. I think I'd have to revisit on a busier night & see if they are at least consistent with good food.

Poor quality food, meat arrived grey and tasteless. Somehow this was diners fault when the cooks were incapable of cooking. No attempt to right their wrong. Inattentive server who paid no mind to the table. Take your money and go somewhere actually worth the time and money.
