Opinions de Andrea Puerto Vallarta
Velas Vallarta is by far the best all-inclusive resort we have ever stayed at. The property is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained, and the level of customer service from everyone was outstanding. I would especially like to thank and recognize Ernesto and Antonio from the Andrea Restaurant. We have a child with autism who can sometimes become overwhelmed and struggle with emotional regulation. From the very beginning, both Ernesto and Antonio were incredibly thoughtful, patient, and genuinely willing to accommodate our family’s special needs. They went above and beyond, often anticipating what we needed before we even had to ask—something that is truly rare and deeply appreciated. The food was excellent and full of flavor, with both à la carte options and buffets available at all times. Overall, we absolutely loved our experience at Velas Vallarta and will definitely be returning as soon as we are able.
We recently stayed at your hotel and absolutely loved everything. We were lucky enough to enjoy both the Christmas tree and the Three Kings Day celebrations,it was truly magical. The pool area is stunning; we could spend hours watching the birds, the fish, the peacocks, and the iguanas. It really feels like a slice of paradise. If I may, I have one small heartfelt request. We noticed a cat (perhaps more than one) roaming the grounds who looked a bit unhappy. It would be wonderful if these little ones could be looked after and given some care. Having healthy, happy cats would truly add "more angels" to your paradise, and I am sure your guests would be delighted to see them thriving. Thank you for such a memorable stay. We will definitely be back!
We had an awesome week stay at the property. The staff is amazing and take very good care of you. The food and drinks are also good with daily specials especially the live stations. Lots of fun activities at the property and daily evening events. Will come back again
Our first time at an all inclusive resort and it was brilliant! The staff lovely- warm with a ready smile The restaurant changes their menu on the daily for lunch and dinner that makes things interesting The beach is beautiful, well maintained and no sign of kelp Overall a lovely experience.
We had an amazing stay at Velas Vallarta. We traveled as a group of 25, and the resort was very accommodating. This is hands down the nicest all-inclusive resort I’ve stayed at. The gardens and grounds are stunning, and the koi ponds were a huge hit with the kids — feeding the fish became a daily highlight. The resort always felt very safe, which made it easy to fully relax. The food was pretty great with a decent variety. The beach was nice, but we spent most of our time at the pool, which we loved. There wasn't much for night life but we were with children so that didn't bother us. Overall, a beautiful resort with amazing staff and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend staying here!
My family and I have been going to this location for years. Each year is always so special because at Velas, they just do everything right! The food is always amazing. The service is spectacular no matter what part of the resort you are in. The rooms are big, clean, and a great place to spend time when you just want some quiet time. They always have activities planned throughout the day. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended taking a vacation to this amazing resort. Can't wait for next year!
Amazing place with great food. Great beach as well. We played tennis most days there they have two hard courts and one synthetic grass court. Hard courts were alright but being resurfaced so hopefully they’re better now. Coach Roberto is amazing we had the best time with him.
Went to Velas Vallarta for a business reward trip. Found the resort beautiful to look at with a lush courtyard and fish ponds... so different than so many other resorts that are very bare and without vegetation. Rooms were excellent. The food was good and the pools were warm! I really enjoyed this visit and have been to Puerto Vallarta 20 times now.
Velas Vallarta was a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful place to vacation. I stayed for 5 days with my two children ages 7 and 11 and we had an incredible time! I highly recommend. The food was great, the drinks delicious and the service and atmosphere was fantastic! This is more of relaxing type of resort than partying. The kids club was clean and staff spoke English. My kids fell in love with Salma, they had lovely things to say about her! The only problem I had with the kids club was that my children were dropped off at 12:50 pm and they close at 2 pm for the lunch, so I arrived at 1:45pm to pick them up and they were outside in the blistering heat and not allowed inside, they asked several times to please be let in and were denied. Apparently the staff on Sunday 10/18 were much more eager to leave early for lunch than to accommodate my children. All in all this was my only negative experience in all the days we stayed.
10 stars for the service! Spacious rooms/suites, meticulously maintained site! Best for the family in the Marina area. Food and drinks could improve though. Not the most central location but close enough to be convinient. Private beach access. Very relaxed. Love love the staff there!
“Welcome Home!” Is what every single staff member greeted us by when we walked into Velas! The most BEAUTIFUL resort in all of PVR! The rooms were spacious, the staff was generous and knowledgeable! And a big thank you to our waiter Omar at Andreas! He made our stay so memorable! We can’t wait to come back!
Velas Vallarta is our new go-to! Great resort — the service was amazing and the food was good. The only downside was the chair situation, which felt a bit ridiculous and should be enforced better if it’s truly a rule. Many people were tagging chairs at night so they were reserved by morning. That was my only complaint! The beach was great, and the resort grounds are stunning — beautiful greenery and a wide variety of flowers make it so picturesque. It’s also only a 15-minute walk to the night and day markets at the marina, which was a wonderful bonus.
This resort is the best! Truly! Everyone was so nice and nice. You get your own concierge who you have access to through WhatsApp. I’ve asked her about reservations and other questions, she booked everything for us. My kids loved the free room service, you can order bottle of champagne, dinner or even extra blankets. Ladies and guys who take care of you at the pool are awesome too. You can get any food brought in to you and drinks all day. Carlos at the beach is in charge of water entertainment and we’ve enjoyed all the fun things such as volleyball, kayaking and boogie boards! He was so nice! Gabriela our concierge was amazing, made our stay so much more enjoyable. Nadia brought me mimosas non stop and was smiling the whole time. If you ever wonder if you should go to this resort please go! No complaints
Beautiful resort with a family feel. Gorgeous tropical plants everywhere. Nicest pool I’ve ever been in. Water is warm enough to be comfortable. Staff is wonderful. The food in the restaurants just isn’t very good. Poolside food is good. We’ve returned here about 7 years now because it’s so nice in all aspects except the restaurants.
We had a very good vacation overall despite multiple minor frustrations. The good: - Nothing outrageous happened. - The views and the landscaping are beautiful. - The staff is professional and welcoming. - There are three pools there and two of them are connected with a lazy river. - Walking distance to Marina allows access to stores and restaurants. - The food was fine. Half of the dishes were great, the other half - decent. Some fruits were tasteless, though. The desserts were great, the ice cream was not overly sweet. - The bar has some quality drinks. The cocktails are not too watered down. - The shows and karaoke nights were fun. - You can connect your own Chromecast/Fire stick/Roku to the TV and directly to Wi-Fi and watch your own stuff without extra hassle. This is not possible with most hotels. - The room service was speedy. The bad: - The beds were bad. When you share a bed with a partner they feel your every move and if you turn they feel like on a see-saw. I had to move to the sofa in the living room. It was terribly firm but the quality of sleep for us improved. - No boogie board or other rentals (you could buy a $20 board for $100(!) at the store). There were balls in the pool, though. - The pebbles on the beach move around every night. For us, almost all week two thirds of the beach were covered with pebbles that hurt to step on. The entry to the water had them everywhere and several steps into the water there was comfortable sand bottom. - There are only two restaurants plus a crepe place which is open during the day. The wait to be seated during peak hours on weekends can be 10-15 minutes. - During the weekend it was difficult to find seating near the pool. There were always seats at the beach, though. - Adults get their room keys on their bracelets but kids have to carry their key cards. This doesn't make any sense. - There was a sewer smell outside for several nights in a row. - "Kids room" by the pool looked particularly sad. So all-in-all it was a decent hotel - worked well for us.
Stayed for 3 nights staff is welcoming nice couple of pools with loads of greenery around for shade which makes using the pool a much more enjoyable experience. The food is not great but it's okay, the prices written on the menu was confusing to me but they are included in the all inclusive package not sure why those are written. Rooms are fine sized and staff overall is friendly too. Had a nice stay would recommend.
This was our third year staying at Velas Vallarta, and sadly, it will be our last. The resort has declined significantly over the past three years. The quality of the food has dropped noticeably and no longer reflects the standards expected at this price point ($10,000 USD). Meals were inconsistent at best, and long waits to access restaurants only added to the frustration, with children. Standing in lines just to dine is unacceptable for what is marketed as a luxury resort. Service, once a strong point, was disappointing throughout our stay with 2am wake up calls from workers as we were placed near the elevator. Interactions felt rushed and inattentive, and the overall level of care simply wasn’t there like years prior. The resort is also far too busy. Crowding has taken away any sense of relaxation, and the experience felt chaotic rather than enjoyable. Many people don’t tip, and the level of disrespect from tourists were astonishing. Despite being in a destination with so many incredible excursions and cultural experiences, we felt stuck at the resort due to the time, money and effort required just to navigate daily activities. It’s frustrating to see a place we once loved fall so far, this time around. Based on this years experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend Velas Vallarta to travelers seeking quality, value, or a relaxing vacation over the holiday season. There’s so much to see in PV and we look forward to experiencing a more authentic and a less over paid touristy life with better quality food, drinks and experiences, next time. Disappointed, yet greatful.
Stayed here four nights. Had three different rooms. Air conditioning doesn’t work in any room we have been put in. Air coming out of the ducts are 23+C. Had five different maintenance technicians say the air was fine and continue to keep us in very hot rooms. Thank god for the unlimited drinks. Used cold beer/soda cans to try to cool myself down while attempting to sleep.
Food was incredibly bland-old folks home level. High pressure timeshare sales is a scam-stay away! Pool was nice, credit where Credit is due. Location is isolated from everything else, unless you never want to leave the place. Much better options in town.
Yikes, the property is beautiful but the service is horrible, only one person interacted with me as if he was being paid. Then I attended a timeshare presentation for which they promised me a "mexican bag", breakfast and a cab to the airport. The breakfast was inedible, and when I went to get my freebies an employee gave me $80 pesos. (about 4 dollars) The cab driver told me they always do that when people don't buy. The cab fee is $150 pesos+tip. The mexican bag was nowhere to be found. I asked the same guy about it and he said: "Listen, if you're so in a hurry you can leave now, I don't care!" Is that how they want to sell timeshares??
