Una opinión a favor de un buen lugar nunca está de más, y desde que conocimos este lugar no hemos dudado en regresar. Si es temporada baja no tendrás problemas para esperar por la cantidad de gente que hay, si es temporada alta procura llegar con poca hambre para que la espera sea llevadera. Adjunto fotos de varios platillos porque hablan x si solas. Buenas porciones, buenos precios, personal super atento incluso para el cliente más difícil de complacer, difícilmente los verás dándote una mala cara o un no x respuesta. Totalmente recomendable!

Mi experiencia fue 10/10, un lugar muy bonito, excelente variedad en el menú, precio adecuado y el tamaño de las porciones es bastante bueno. Este restaurante de desayunos es una verdadera joya. Los platillos son deliciosos, preparados con ese toque casero que los hace únicos y memorables. 🌮☕🥞 Lo que más destaca es la atención del personal, que logra hacerte sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Ese trato cercano y amable convierte cada visita en una experiencia especial. Un detalle importante: solo aceptan pago en efectivo, así que conviene ir preparado. Sin embargo, vale totalmente la pena. Sin duda, se debe visitar cuando se esté en PV.

A pesar del gran aforo de turistas, cuidan mucho el servicio y los desayunos están de lujo y muy bien servidos. Recomiendo ampliamente este lugar para desayunar en familia.

Pondría más estrellas si se pudiera, el lugar es pequeño así que si haces reserva o no te importa esperar vale todo la pena; la zona romántica tiene horas pico y el lugar de la estacionada también puede ser un tema. La atención y el mesero estuvieron por demás atentos y amables, hasta me hicieron reír en varias ocasiones. Hay otro lugar en nuevo Vallarta pero están bien ambos.

Went with the kids for breakfast around 10. No line up, seated immediately. We got the fresh squeezed grapefruit and orange juice. Boys ordered the ice cream waffles and Black Forest waffles while I had the strawberries and cream pancakes with a parfait. Meals were super tasty, big portions for the waffles and pancakes

One of my favorite places for breakfast in PV. Had the arrachera chilaquiles with the two sauces so I could try them both. Personally I liked the red sauce way better. The green sauce was good but it was more on the acid side. The meat was soooo good. The enfrijoladas were amazing! The guacamole on the side was a bit salty. Also the coffee tasted amazing. Definitely a great place if you’re around the romantic zone.

Freddy Tucán is an excellent spot! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Portions are generous, so you definitely get great value for your meal. I had the divorced chilaquiles with both red and green sauce, and they were absolutely delicious—flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Fredy's is a breakfast must-do for us every time we're in PV. ATMOSPHERE: The busy corner restaurant is now fully air conditioned, even the former patio in the back. We've seen them crazy busy in March where wait times can be about an hour, and most recently in June where we could walk right in. MENU: Mexican & American breakfast items, crepes, salads, soups, sandwiches, smoothies, milkshakes, coffees, alcohol. BEVERAGE: The smoothies are excellent as is their iced coffee. FOOD: Pancakes The 3-stacker was moist yet dense but still tasty. We opted for strawberries as a topping, but be forewarned that there was a light sauce to it though it wasn't overly sweet. Omelettes I've had good luck with omelettes in PV and this was no exception. Fluffy and loaded with cheese, sliced ham, bacon, and fresh mushrooms, with a side of crispy hash browns too. Very delish! Mascota Eggs Two poached eggs sat on small fried tortillas with a bit of smoked pork loin, covered with a bean chipotle sauce, then topped with panela cheese sticks, with half an avocado to the side. SERVICE: The service was top notch, from the host, to all the servers who assisted us. And they take it seriously too, with numbered-controlled comment cards. TIP: Cash only. Free but slow WiFi. OVERALL: Great prices like most of PV, excellent service, food done well.

This place is popular for reason, the service is top notch and everything taste great. The regret we had was ordering milk shake and moka, not because they tasted bad but just because it was too much. Will be less ambitious and just order coffee next time.

There is always a short wait. It does fast. It is a big place and well worth it. There is also another bathroom in the back. They will have coffee and water while you wait. The food is delicious. Be warned, the pastries come. Around with, are not free. They are very inexpensive, though. The food is Good. I had an omelet with a creamy green sauce. Wow. Their whipped cream is fantastic.

Hemos regresado después de seis años, esta vez en grupo y tuvimos mejor experiencia. Nos sirvieron desayuno aunque eran las 02:00pm a los que así lo deseamos, y comida a los que eso prefirieron. Compartimos platos y probé los benedictinos, el desayuno de campeones y las enchiladas. Todo está muy bueno y porciones muy generosas. Los precios son justos ($150-$200, nov-2024), el lugar ha sido remodelado de como lo recordaba y quedó muy bonito. El servicio muy amable y sociable. El único pero es que solo aceptan pago en efectivo por ello mi puntuación general.

Creo que este es uno de esos lugares icónicos de PV, ya que buscando en internet y preguntando a los locales siempre hubo algo en común y fue el nombre de Fredys Tucán. Así que no pude dejar de lado eso y vine a conocerlo, y desde que llegué tuvimos un buen recibimiento, la atención de los meseros también fue buena, y la calidad de la cocina no se quedó para nada atrás. Los precios para nada están fuera de lugar tomando en cuenta también el tamaño de las porciones, tal vez el único punto negativo que veo es que lamentablemente no aceptan pago con TDC. Y en estos tiempos dónde la tecnología cada vez gana más terreno, y sobre todo los amantes de lo ageno están a la orden del día creo que deberían eliminar esto y aceptar pagos con tarjetas. Pero para resumir, super recomendado!!

We found this place on TikTok, and I must say—I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as we arrived, we were seated right away. The staff was kind, professional, and welcoming. After taking our order, they brought out a warm cinnamon roll and another type of bread I can’t quite remember, but it was delicious. They also served us toast with homemade jelly, which was a nice touch. I ordered the chilaquiles con huevos y pollo (divorciado)—absolutely amazing! The flavors were rich, and the portion was generous. Our waiter, Ricardo, was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. He really took great care of us. Highly recommend this spot—definitely worth the visit!

Visited Fredys for my birthday breakfast the place was very packed, they placed us at table with a weird angle and we were kind of in the way as people were trying to squeeze by us and a column. My steak and eggs were delicious, my GFs macahcado was not your typical kind. They use cecina which is a saltier cut of meat and it has a slight aftertaste. Over all we liked the food with the few exceptions I listed.

Food is great though not sure it’s worth the hype. Their coffee machine is down so we had food without coffee. We had beef tone and chicken Chilaquiles and samosas! Not sure we’d be back but no regret that we tried it!

Nice place, enjoyed it. Would I go back there again, if it was one of those situations where there were others going etc., but to say I’d purposely go back, no. Let me explain why. I get they won’t seat you until your whole party is present. I completely understand I myself work in the restaurant industry but my establishment does not have said policy. But while you’re waiting they have cold water & fresh coffee for you to enjoy. Also they are a cash only establishment. I get that also to some extent but being that they are always super busy and in a major tourist zone, I feel this should not be an issue that you don’t take card. The atmosphere is clean & well lit but to me lacks any authenticity, feels like a standard cafe place. The service was good being that they have many in staff to deal with their high volume. I feel like their menu is too much but who am I to say. Their Mexican coffee with cinnamon was delicious & I’m not a big coffee drinker. Their vegan chile rellano was quite delicious. Everything was cooked nice and the salsa was very tasty. I would have both things again. I did love the little touch of a wrought iron stand beside the tables to hang your bags on. I do recommend this place but feel like with so many other places around you could do as well elsewhere.

El lugar está bonito y limpio pero está más adaptado para extranjeros, como casi todo en esa zona. La comida es abundante, con muy bonita presentación pero no destaca por su sabor. SOLO ACEPTAN EFECTIVO. Aunque aprecio mucho su esfuerzo de los meseros, para mí la atención resultó exagerada y aturdidora 😞 tal vez han tenido malas experiencias con otros clientes y por eso se esmeran muchísimo. Pero es necesario respetar el espacio de los clientes y preguntar siempre si se puede retirar algo de su mesa o si desean ordenar la cuenta, aunque haya gente esperando afuera. Como mexicana, no sería uno de los principales lugares que recomendaría a los extranjeros que buscan la esencia de México.

I ordered the avocado toast....and it was bad. The description is a bit off, so here's what it is: a bed of lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and corn. Over that is a small toast with avocado, hidden by a fried egg (you pick the egg). Unfortunately, I received the end of a loaf and the avocado was on the crust side in an attempt to find that fact. I also ordered cafe de la olla (coffee with a hint of cinnamon). It had a licorice taste or something I can't quite place but that coffee wasn't good. Service was amazing but not going back just because of the food. Hopefully you have a better experience.

The atmosphere was nice, nice and cool. We both ordered the Tucan’s Grand Slam breakfast, both with hash browns and waffles, one with bacon and the other with sausage. My eggs were over easy, not basted as I ordered. There was still the clear runny stuff in both our eggs. The hash browns had a weird kind of texture not a crisp fry like usual. Instead of both with waffles they switched one to French toast. They said that was what we ordered…we didn’t. The French toast was soggy and pretty much like buttered toast. The side of fruit for the waffles was ridiculously expensive for what you got. The service was fine. Won’t see us there again.
